hi everyone and welcome back to my,channel if you're new here my name is,taylor and i have been running my own,small handmade business for about seven,years,or seven years in january and today i'm,doing a video on shipping and postage,and,sort of all that sort of stuff and,hopefully i'll be able to answer any,questions,that you guys have it's been a really,highly requested video so,get right into it so before we enter,this video please make sure you've liked,this video and subscribe to my channel,because it really helps me out just a,disclaimer i do not work for australia,post i've just been shipping with them,for almost seven years,so i do know a little bit i don't know,everything,but i'm here to help in any way i can so,this video will be mostly about,shipping light items and small items,uh and stuff that doesn't break easily i,am not familiar with stuff that's,fragile or quite heavy,so i won't be able to help you in those,sort of areas but this video might be,beneficial anyway,i'll be doing a few different bits in,this video as always i'll have,timestamps in the description,and in the comment section so you'll be,able to sort of skip to wherever you,find you might want to watch more so i,sell scrunchies and hair bows so they're,quite thin,items so we'll start with shipping in,envelopes first i've been shipping in,envelopes for,a long time predominantly the only,shipping method i use,so i'll just do like a little run down,on shipping in envelopes shipping and,envelopes you usually use just australia,price stamps so i've got a box here the,normal prices,are 2.20 for up to 125 grams and it has,to be below,2 centimeters thick or 20 millimeters so,if your item,is too bulky it won't be able to be,classed as an envelope and you won't be,able to,ship it at this rate and this doesn't,have any tracking either,you can purchase tracking but i'll go,through that in a second the next price,is 3.30,and the other price is 550 it just,depends on the weight,so this is what i normally use i usually,don't send,tracking unless the customer purchases,it,purchases the tracked envelope or,tracked parcels and i'll usually use,two stamps for most of my items because,they don't weigh a lot i'll show you the,sort of envelopes i ship,in i get all these items from ebay and,it's a person called eb packaging um so,this is my first one,so that's a really quite a small one i,usually fit one or two scratches in this,and i don't normally,use them anymore because i have a thank,you card that is quite big so it doesn't,really fit,i kind of haven't used these in a while,i'd mostly use them for,overseas shipping i will go through that,later as well so that's the size,of that one and i also paint them,normally but,i haven't painted for a couple months,now i've just been too busy,this is my second size this will usually,fit about three scrunchies in it,or maybe three four bows this one's a cd,mailer size,if you want to know the sizes just,comment below i don't know off the top,of my h

hi everyone my name is keeley and i'm,the owner and creator here at sewing,shay and thank you so much for joining,me for this video,i've had a number of requests and,suggestions to do a packing video and,that is what i'm going to do today,i'm going to take you along as i pick,and pack some of the orders that i,received,over the weekend and then i'm going to,actually take you right through to me,actually posting them out,so the first part of this video most,people may be able to pick up some tips,and tricks about how to best package,your,parcels whether you are a candle and,soap maker or whether you run,any other type of business you can take,some of those tips and tricks and apply,them into your own business,the second part of this video is,probably more so,aimed at australians because i am using,an australian postal system,i really can't help with any of the,overseas um,systems because i don't know enough,about them to give any information but,i'm going to take you along and,show you how i actually post my parcels,and i'm pretty sure some of you aussies,will learn a thing or two that you,didn't actually know about australia,post,so let's go and start picking and,packing these parcels,all right so we are in the front of the,shop area here and if you've seen the,tour,of my workshop you would have seen this,sort of area on there it's just a bit,out the front where when i have,customers that want to come around they,can come around and have a look and a,touch and a feel,smell of everything we have so i have,all the goodies,there that through there is my rather,messy workshop,and then over on this counter here this,is where i do all the packing and,wrapping of orders,and other bits and pieces and we also,have the soap,cure rack if we come up a little bit,i have got all of the things that i kind,of need,to pack my orders with so i've got all,of my shipping boxes,um i've got all the sort of stickers and,things that i'm after,as well and then at the bottom let me,see if i can get this to go,down at the bottom there i have all of,my sort of,wrapping materials that i need but i,will get into that a little bit,more in a moment what i do,do when i get my orders come through,online,is i print them up i use shopify i,actually had to swap to shopify,earlier this year after someone hacked,my old website,and it has been the best move for me um,so i'm now on shopify and when i get the,orders come through i have,the order printer in there so i just,print them all,up now i don't usually cover the,addresses up but i have done that just,to protect my customers,in this video so i don't have to you,know scribble on the screen and that,sort of thing,so i have covered all of the addresses,up but what i tend to do first is i go,through and i highlight,certain things so down here i highlight,the sort of shipping they've got,so i make sure that i am selecting the,right one when i'm sending it to them,i've done it a few times where i've gone,to,um send it normal posts and th

folks it's marcus here from merchant,academy and today we're going to learn,about,providing our shopify checkout with live,australia post rates,so there's three types of rates that we,can do in shopify,there's rates shipping rates based on,weight,the shipping rates based on,the total price of the order and there's,a third type,that's only available to shopify plus,and advance out of the box called,third-party carrier rates now you can,also get this feature added to your,shopify,basic or trial store or even the shopify,shopify,store on those plans by contacting,shopify support and saying hey i want to,add third-party carrier rates to my,store,and they'll be able to add this to your,plan either for a monthly fee,and sometimes they'll just compete for,you if you pay for a year in advance,cool so that's the basics out of the way,now i've got a store set up here called,merchant academy,i'm at checkout now right now we,aren't providing any rates whatsoever so,i've gone in and,i've gone to my shopify admin settings,shipping and delivery i've cleared,everything out,if i go to my shipping rates,and i'm based in australia i've deleted,all my domestic rates cool,so right now i'm going to go and add,this,app actually it's a free app that i made,for everybody,from the from the app store called,i was post shipping very creatively so,you can either install it directly from,the app store or from this url here,and i'm just going to copy and paste in,my,development app store that i'm just,using for testing,so let's click install,and we'll see the app has been installed,and it's going to ask me to activate the,australia post rates,so right now if we go to,the shopify admin we'll see that we've,got no,rates if we go to add a rate we go use a,carry or what have you,we're only getting sendle which is you,know shopify having a deal with sandal,and uh you know offering their services,there,so we want to do ozpost because they've,got some advantages so,we'll go in here and we'll click,activate as post rates,so boom that has been,activated and again we're reminding you,that,you need shopify or advanced or plus to,have this feature or you need to contact,support if you're on the trial basic or,shopify plans,to get the feature added cool so now,that we've got,this uh activated on the apps end we,need to go over to the uh,back into admin and we need to click add,rate so let's do that,i'm going to say use a carry or app to,calculate rates,and we see as post shipping right here,and we're going to click express post,and parcel post,and we'll say automatically short we'll,just leave that doing its thing,you can also go and add handling fees,and you know mark up or mark down,the uh the numbers that are getting,pushed across into the checkout,but i'm just going to leave it so click,done,and click save that's an important one,so now if we're back on the checkout and,we refresh the page,it goes and grabs the rates now these,rates,are just plain old retail rates from,australia post,m

hi my name is nathan i'm one of the,the co-founders of celadash and um,thanks for watching this quick video on,our australia post my post business,app for shopify uh so the reason we we,made this app and we've been working in,the fulfillment industry for,over 10 years was to create the best app,for australia post labels and,fulfillments in shopify,and to do that we designed this really,modern app,with a lot of great features but the,main features that we can walk through,today are,the ability to print my post labels from,within,the app you don't have to go to my post,anymore and do fulfillments as well,so i'll run through a quick example of,how that works and how that looks,in the app that we have and also touch,on some of the other,great features in the app so to start,off with,we've built a really good grid system to,view your orders,and it's completely customizable so,we've got a number of different views,that you can select compact expanded and,condensed so it depends,what you want to do what sort of,information you want to view,in the order grid and each of these,views,is completely customizable as well so we,can,change all the the config of the compact,view here we can remove,information that we don't want to see,and you'll see that,that change in in real time and also,change things like the number of orders,per page so it's really easy to switch,between those views just to make your,order management a little bit,easier and if you want to expand an,order to view the whole order you just,click on,this little arrow here now this will,show all the order information you can,edit things like,customer address uh the,package information order options and so,on,the main thing though that our app is,really great hat is printing labels and,doing fulfillment so,after you've enabled your carrier we,connected carrier here we support,my post business initially but looking,to add some more,you'll be able to set some um,carrier options some services here that,you want to ship with,you can then select orders whether,they're individually or in bulk,and three things are probably useful,here,mainly which is printing invoices,printing pick lists,and generating your labels so we know,some customers love to insert an invoice,or use a pick list to help with their,picking and packing so we provide the,ability to do that with your own logo as,well which you can add in,the preferences area of the app you can,also print a pick list,which will help your picking team go and,get the order ready for shipping,and of course printing labels so this,means no more copy and paste or manually,uploading orders to,australia post this is all done from,within the app,and we also provide a pickup facility so,if you want to do a pickup you can,continue and book a pickup,otherwise you can turn this feature off,and just generate the labels so you can,drop off your parcels,at the post office so the labels are,generated in a pdf you can send them,straight to your printer,and you can then

How to Bulk Print AusPost Invoices, Picklists, Labels in Shopify

it's possible to,not only print an individual pick list,invoice or label for an order but also,to,bulk print so using the app here we have,100 orders,and we haven't started doing anything,with them yet,if you use the action button on an order,you can see,you can print an individual invoice or,pick list just for that one order,if you'd like to do things in bulk you,need to use the selection,check boxes down here so to begin with,you can,scroll through your orders and select,them manually like this,if you want to search for a particular,order or a particular,item in an order you can use the filter,box up here as well,to filter your orders and once you start,selecting,orders using the check boxes you'll,notice that a bulk actions,button appears at the top of the grid so,that's what you use to do a bulk action,so if we wanted to select our three,orders here that we'd like to process,the other thing you'll notice is that,when you start selecting orders another,tab will appear here,that you can click on that will just,show the orders that you've,selected so deselecting orders will,obviously change this tab,and selecting an order again we'll move,it back into this tab here so it's a,little bit easier to keep track of where,you're up to,once we've selected those three orders,we can then use the bulk actions menu,we may want to print up three invoices,for those orders,send them to the printer using the print,button you can do the same for pick,lists,and if we wanted to bulk pay and print,our labels right now then we can use the,pay and print labels button uh just note,that you might have to,check your payment settings and payment,options in the carrier setup,before you bulk pay and print,so for this example we're not going to,do a pickup we just want to,drop these orders off at a post office,so,we'll wait for australia post to,generate our labels for us you can see,we've got our,tracking numbers now and here are the,pdfs for our three labels so we have a,standard post an express post,and an international order they've been,completed so now the only thing left for,these three orders is to fulfill them,so the fulfillment process can also be,done in bulk,that can be done anytime either later in,the day or after you pay and print your,labels,the fulfill orders process will update,the order in shopify,it will add the tracking number in and,it will create a,fulfillment and so that means that our,100 orders that are waiting to be,processed here will drop down to 97,and we fulfilled those three orders so,if we refresh our orders list here,the most recent three are now fulfilled,and we can see that they've had,a tracking number assigned to them in,the order,and that's it so that's how you do bulk,invoices pick lists and labels in the my,post,app for shopify if you've got any other,queries we have lots more help videos in,our youtube channel,and you can also check out the help,section in the app as well,you
