hi everyone this is ankit founder of,sumtracker app,in this video we are going to look at,what is sum tracker who is it for,and also look at its product demo,sumtracker is an inventory management,app for your ecommerce business,it is great for single store owners as,well as those having multiple stores,it is basically a central dashboard,where you can control all your inventory,movement on the stores,automate a lot of tasks,and take important decisions regarding,your inventory at the right time,so let's dive in and have a look at some,of the features that some tracker has,so first up is multi-channel inventory,sync where you can keep inventory on all,your different stores in sync with some,tracker,then there are many automation features,which sellers are looking for for,example,sometimes you want to keep the inventory,of a lot of your listings as the same,so that is possible with some tracker,and,then we have bundles and kits so you can,automate the,inventory updates for all your bundles,as well as get the reports that you are,looking for,more detailed reports about your,component sales,then,we have very easy uh wait for you to,update inventory so you can either bulk,upload them to us simple csv files or,use the subtractor interface,we also support purchase orders so you,can easily track your incoming stock,send pos to your vendors,and,manage them as a whole,we have detailed inventory reporting,where you can get detailed log of all,your inventory movements uh across all,platforms,and also get,into details of like you know inventory,snapshot at a pass date,sales reports purchase reports so all,those are there for you to take the,important inventory decisions,uh we also support multiple locations so,people having multiple locations can,manage their stock easily we support low,stock alerts,and we have bulk imports and exports for,everything so you can do things fast,and we also have api access for,automation,so now let's look at the product demo of,some tracker,so as soon as you uh,install the sumtracker app you can,connect your stores,and some tracker pulls in all your,product listings from your stores,initially the inventory sync is off,so,uh the inventory from some tracker will,start syncing to your stores only when,you turn this setting on,when turning this setting on you get the,option to import,the currently available inventory on,your store,and once you turn on the sync some,tracker becomes the central point from,where inventory is being updated from or,on your stores,so if you get an order on one of the,stores let's say shopify,then inventory of that product is going,to be updated on all the other stores,now let us see,how products get created in some tracker,from your listings,when you go to the products list,you can see that all your listings have,synced here,we sync your listings based on unique,sqs,so if two of your listings have the same,sku then they are linked to the same,product in some tracker,so if you are connecting multiple store

you can use some tracker to create and,manage purchase orders with multiple,statuses,send them to your vendors track incoming,stock and receive stock partially,we are going to look at how to create a,purchase order,I can select the supplier,the warehouse where I'm receiving this,talk,the billing address and the shipping,address,can be any one of your warehouses,uh hovering over here I can check the,full address,the payment terms with their vendor,which is already selected from uh the,details you have saved,I can add in a reference that will be,printed on the PO,I can add some notes,and here in the products pop-up I can,select the products that I want to add I,can see the current available quantity,in my warehouse where I'm ordering this,stock,the incoming quantity which is already,in uh placed through some other purchase,order,and the alert threshold uh this is,basically the minimum quantity that I,want to have in my stock,so let's say I add these two products,now the purchase prices are,automatically picked up based on what I,have saved in the system,and I can have a different supplier SKU,which will be printed for this,particular product if my supplier uses,some other identifier for this product,I can specify the quantity I want to buy,and I can also change the price that are,already there so and with this I can add,some notes that can be printed on the PO,any particular instruction I want to,have for this product,I can apply a different purchase price,all the purchase price is saved in the,system will come here,I can view the current stock at all the,different locations,and see what is the incoming available,and I can also add in a due date for,this particular product so multiple,products could be coming in at different,dates and this is for your team to know,if uh when a particular product is due,I can click on print,and,I can save this as a PDF and send it to,my supplier it has all the details from,the purchase order,this PO is in draft status,I can mark this as incoming,so now when I see the product list,these products will be shown uh as,incoming,and,purchase order status is also incoming,so when I'm receiving the products I can,open the PO again and I have this option,to receive the stocks partially or,receive all the products at once let's,say I received the stock partially,and here I can also select the location,at which I'm receiving the goods,so let's say I received 30 of these and,all 10 of these,I can save this,and when I click on markers received the,stock will be received,at my warehouse,so this completes the cycle where I've I,ordered the product first and then I,have received the stock,I can receive this talk again when I uh,the next time they're coming in,and I can see the whole list of receive,notes Here,and in the product table purchase order,table,I always have an overview of what is the,status of each po,and what are the received notes against,it,and any particular notes that I have,saved and I can filter it out with,multip

what's up guys in this video i'm going,to be going over something,super important which is how to track,your inventory between,etsy and shopify but not only sync the,inventory so when someone buys from your,shopify it also deducts the inventory,from your etsy account,but also how to fix the problem,of when you sell in bundles not only,am i going to show you how you can keep,track of your inventory between etsy and,shopify so if someone,buys from your etsy account it also,deducts the inventory from your shopify,account,but on top of it i'm going to show you,how you can use this,application to track inventory when it,comes to bundles,so i recently put out a video about,another app called,shopups by shopsync which is great when,it comes to just,straight up connecting etsy and shopify,together and then tracking inventory,the problem that we found further than,that was that we,started bundling items so say you sell a,red white and blue t-shirt,together as one order in one listing,it's one variant right so you're selling,a,red white and blue three shirts in one,but you also sell a red and a blue shirt,bundle t-shirt bundle in one but then,you also sell just,a red t-shirt by itself so when someone,buys from this middle bundle here it,needs to deduct from this bundle here,and this bundle well this single variant,here,and so my whole store is comprised of,bundles so while it did help me,it didn't solve the whole issue that we,were having so,i recently found a new application,called some tracker,which actually solves this problem as,well and it goes even further so it,tracks,multi-channel etsy and shopify but then,it also allows you to set up bundles,so if you sell this necklace say,by itself but you also sell it in five,different listings because it comes in a,bundle,of five other necklaces you have to be,able to track that inventory when,someone buys a full set bundle over here,or they just buy it by itself over here,or they buy it in a whole different,bundle here because it's paired with,other chains,and another listing so i'm going to hop,into my computer right now and i'm going,to show you how we actually do this,inside of some tracker they're a little,bit of a newer company,but after i went through the whole,process of onboarding the shopups apps,which does work good,if you just have single product variants,and it's a lot more simple,if that's the only problem that you have,but if you are bundling items,and you want more features with the app,then i do suggest you check out some,tracker so yeah,let's hop into it,by the way my name is hannah gardner and,if you're new to the channel we talk,about anything and everything that has,to do with ecommerce,and building brands online so if that is,something that you're into,please go ahead and subscribe to the,channel,because you know yes,all right so we are inside of my apps,and my shopify store i'm gonna click,here to,some trucker okay,or i have it open right here okay so,once,you onboard this app to your sh

whether your business is in a,traditional way or online,inventory management is one of the most,crucial factors when it comes to growing,your business,effective inventory management is the,way to go if you want to avoid losses,from misplaced items returns and,spoilage when reducing the overall,inventory costs,it gives you a clear idea of what you,have in stock,and what you should do to meet the,customer demand in today's video,i'm going to be showing you how to,manage the inventory in a shopify store,inventory is the number of goods and,materials that are available,in stock for sale to the customer,inventory tracking can help you prevent,selling the products,that have run out of stock it will also,notify you when you need to order,products,or raw materials to manufacture more,products,you can imagine the inventory from the,admin panel of your shopify store,let me show you how to do that first of,all go to the shopify admin,there you will find a submenu named,inventory under their products menu,now click on inventory as you can see,there are a few columns available over,here,for example product name sku as in stock,keeping unit,when sold out etc here the when sold out,column refers to the behavior when the,product is not available,in the stock we can see that it's,showing stop selling,which means it'll prevent you from,selling this product when it is out of,stock,but if you want to change this behavior,for a product simply select,the product and click on more actions,there are a few actions available in,this drop down list,let's select continue selling when out,of stock after that,you'll notice the status is changed once,you are done,unselect the product the incoming column,maintains a transfer record from the,locations of other stores,we have another video for this if you're,interested,you can check that out as well in the,available column,you can check the number of products,available in stock,you can edit the quantity from the last,column,if you want to set an amount of 10,select set,from here now insert 10 and press save,as you can see now you have 10 products,available,in case you want to add 5 more select,add,then enter 5 over here and press save,suppose you have lost a product but one,of your products got damaged somehow,and that's why you want to update the,quantity to do so select,set and decrease the amount by one,now save the updated quantity to find,your desired product in the inventory,you can use the filter or sorting option,let me show you how to make use of this,filter option,suppose you're going to filter the,product from the inventory,based on availability to do that select,availability,and from there select the variable,online store,then click on add filter you can also,sort the filtered result,using this sort by option as you can see,there are a few options available for,sorting the filtered results,here i am selecting available descending,you can edit the inventory for a single,product from here,but if you want to edit the inv

How I Use SKUs in my Small Business
if you're starting out as a small business owner
you may have heard people talk about SKUs or ,S-K-Us. Stock keeping units are codes that help
us identify our products more easily when ,we're tracking them. They're important for
inventory management systems because they ,allow us to identify what product is being
tracked without having to refer to the full ,title or description of the product
every time we want to reference it.,For example, I sell many of my products across
multiple platforms such as etsy shopify and ,faire and I never want to oversell a product
because then I'll have to cancel or delay orders ,so I use Sumtracker to manage and sync my
inventory across platforms. This requires that ,I use a common identifier for my products on each
of these platforms, also known as a SKU. When an ,item is purchased on one platform that SKU is
identified in the inventory management software ,and deducted. Other platforms that also stock
products using this SKU will also have their ,inventory deducted as well. This way my inventory
is always in sync across my selling platforms ,So there's no set rules for how you assign
SKUs to your products but you should use a ,system that is easy to understand, so I'm going
to show you how I assign and track my SKUs ,I use an excel workbook for keeping track of
SKUs that I've assigned but you can use whatever ,program you like as long as it's easy to reference
later. So my first worksheet in this book is a key ,I assign SKUs based on the category of
product because I have many different ,types of products in my shops and categorizing
them makes it easier to look them up later on ,For each category, I assign a series of numbers
and for each series of numbers I have a tab ,so here you can see that for downloadable files
I can assign all numbers from 1001 to 1999 ,for tarot related items I can
assign anything in the 2000 range ,I don't necessarily have these ranges
memorized so it helps to have a key ,so I know which tab to find something in. Within
each tab things can be further subdivided,using the leading letters or prefix
so for my tarot related items ,anything related to my product the Pastel Magic Tarot is assigned the prefix PMT ,uh when I complete my other tarot
projects I can add a different prefix ,that corresponds to that subcategory. This helps
me recognize what the SKU is related to because ,if it were just a string of numbers it would be
hard for me to distinguish what it is at a glance ,Any time I add a new product
I'll go into the appropriate tab ,assign it a prefix that makes sense and then
assign it the next available number in the series ,So if i wanted to add another Pastel Magic
Tarot related item i would put in PMT ,because it's the same prefix and then
the next number in the series is 2004,and that's my next example product,So if the product is a kit made up of other
products I will reference the component ,product SKUs under the k

kitting,and bundling is the process of grouping,items together and selling them as a,single,bundled product where they differ is the,products,grouping usually separate items creates,a kit while combining multiple identical,items creates a bundle,creating a product kit allows you to,create additional listings for those,products,when you also sell each product,individually you double your listing,exposure,more exposure equals more sales one,potential downside to kitting,is the complexity it adds to inventory,management but you can kit and bundle,worry free with flex point,let's dive into the app and i'll show,you how to create a bundle,navigate to your virtual variants and,choose create new bundle from the drop,down menu,next you'll create a unique sku number,and title for your bundle,then select your options and components,options represent the overall selections,of the bundle,while components represent the,selections for each option,in this example my first option is a,protein powder while my components are,two different flavors,my second option is a protein bar here,i'm going to set it up so that the,customer can choose one of three flavors,once you've configured your options and,components you'll see a preview of your,variants,each variant will have a unique sku,number that is automatically generated,based on the bundle sku you just created,if you're happy with your variants it's,time to confirm and create your bundle,on the next screen you're given the,option to edit the product content of,your bundle's parent and variant skus,this includes updates to the categories,descriptions,images and more,when you're finished making edits it's,time to build a product listing for your,bundle,to do this select your bundle and add it,to your listing builder,now you're ready to build your listing,choose a channel and mapping template,then click run to start the build,process,to publish your bundle on your sales,channel select your new listing and cue,it for publish,then select your channel and publish,your listing,once the publish is complete you can,head over to your sales platform to,check out your new product offering,when a customer places an order for a,bundled variant your purchase order will,show the bundled items split into,component skus,flexpoint uses the lowest quantity to,determine available inventory,for example if there are 10 packs of,protein bars left but only two,containers of protein powder,you would have two bundles available for,purchase,so there you have it that's kitting and,bundling with flexpoint,if you'd like to learn more about this,feature contact our team today
