Logic Pro X - Track Stacks, Folder Stacks and Summing Stacks
hello this is music tech help guy and, welcome to this Logic Pro 10 video, tutorial on using track stacks track, stacks is one of the many new features,in Logic 10 one that I sort of just, didn't neglect it to talk about in my,main series mostly because well to be,frank I don't use it but I definitely, see how it is useful and what track, stacks does is it lets you take a whole, series of tracks and sort of put them, together as a folder as a unit as a,groupable unit you can sort of move, clips around as a group rather than, having to do them individually the other, thing you can do is it sort of functions, like a summing track almost like using,an ox track as a sub mix and by the way,if you missed that video where I talked, about ox tracks and routing multiple, tracks them to create a sub mix or a sub, master I will find a way to make sure, that that link is either in the video or,down in the video description okay so,what I'm going to do is I'm going to use, track stacks in both of its for both of,its functions one to create just sort of,a group or a folder and then also to sum,so let's listen to this musical example,I've got here this is actually believe,it or not this is the intro music to my,new logic it's my new Logic title, animation music so let's listen to a,little bit of this, all right so up top here I've got this, sort of I'm going to call it the the, drop beat or whatever it has a lot of,the the wobbly bases and things like, that in it the problem is that this, whole sort of section is composed of a,bunch of different clips just little, clips and I'm using a lot of instruments,I'm using massive a lot I'm using the,EFM one I'm using ES 2 es X 24 so I'm,using a lot of different instruments but,I'm sort of putting two get together as,one unit and I want to be able to move, this unit around rather than having them, sliced up into a bunch of little pieces, here so this is the first function of,track stacks first I'm going to click on,the top track and then the bottom track, and hold shift well I do that going to,select everything out here it's also, going to select all of my tracks here, then I go to track create track stack, and then I'm going to choose a folder, stack and so what this lets us do is it,lets us solo mute and hide this track or,this track stack and if you want to view, all the individual tracks in the track, stack you just click on a little arrow, here and it opens it up it even tells, you what the name of the track stack is,right now it's called it sub - I'm going,to call this drop beat there we go,alright the other thing we can do is yes,we can drag over this whole stack and we,can sort of move it around as a unit I,want it to look even more lucky unit, almost like the folders did when you, right clicked and you go to folder pack, folder like we talked about in the main, series I want to look like this I'm,going to drag over all these and I'm,going to hit J and by the way J is the,key command for join per track and it,sort of puts them in something that, resemb

The Best Vocal Reverb Mixing Trick 😱
reverbs one of the most requested, subject on the channel in this video i'm,gonna show you my three reverbs mixing, trick which is a totally made up name, but you kind of need one on youtube and,the stuff that i'm gonna show you it's,cool anyway let's get to it,hello everyone welcome back to mixbus tv,hope you're having a great day before we,start please check the info box down, below for more mixing courses on pro mix, academy free plugins special discounts, and offers and of course if you want to,support the channel but most important,if you really want to learn how to mix,and master professionally click the join, button down here become a mixbus tv,member access the already big and always, growing library of full mixing courses, start to finish on many different genres, mastering courses and a lot more and if,you want to grab some merch underneath, every video we have t-shirts hoodies, mugs pillows be much appreciated let's,get to the video alright this is one of,bella's new songs it's not released yet,so i'll just give you a little sneak, peek of it for this mix i had a quite, complicated matrix of effects you can,see all these blue tracks are, effects or throws and these are all, vocal tracks vocal tracks more vocal, tracks but anyway the trick that i'm,going to show you is quite simple and to,show this i'm going to use first only, stock reverbs from pro tools just to,show you that you can really apply this,to anything all right let's hear a,little bit of the track, this is,i'm sick of your face, all right you got the idea let's get to,the trick i muted all the effects that, were in the mix so we are hearing the,dry lead vocal now this is occupy my,love this is last sunrise my love with, our three reverb trick this is soccer by,my love this is last on rice my love, the starting concept is pretty simple we,always try to create depth this, untangible thing in our mixes with our, vocals guitar scenes whatever it is,right and vocals are usually recorded in,a booth or in a very dry room up in your, face so we have to create these layers, that then create depth in the mix we,have to create multi-dimension in the,mix all right and we don't necessarily, want to create realistic ambient, sometimes just like in this case we want,to create a soundscape that is bigger, than life and this is just one way to do,it of course as you can see i created, three cents rev one rep two and rev, three and you send these three at unity, all at the same level okay we focus now,on our first layer which is going to be,a very very short ambient algorithm we,don't want a reverb here with an obvious, tail what we want to do is to take away, that demo feeling from the bone dry, vocal and give him some width and a,little bit of dimension the first layer, the first stage like i said i'm using,d-verb stock protools for all the three, reavers but it's better of course if you,use different plug-ins and maybe later,we'll do the same example using fancier,plug-in and we're going to redo this, from scratch so you see t

2. Stacking & Mixing Drums [Subscriber Track #1]
hey guys just finished stacking up the, drums and touching up the drums in,general on Collins track I want to show, you in the session exactly what it did,I'm going to go one by one through each, track and show you what I did and what,my thoughts were ok let's take a look, this is the original Rex loop if you, remember from last video,Colin couldn't give me separate kicks, and snares and hats and all that stuff,so I told him to know where he just gave,me your Rex loop because you had the, whole thing sequenced and it sounds, pretty good already but again what I'm,trying to do with Colin's track is I'm,trying to make it a little edgier a,little bit more exciting a little bit, more cutting-edge basically so what I,want to do is I want to excite this drum, loop I've looped the four bars right, here roll just focus on that but just so,I can show you guys here you see what I,did basically I imported a kick I,imported a snare and I pretty much went, when his loop had a kick I put mine in I,just lace it up kick kick snare right, and I went through the whole song, and this is why it took me a while to do,this and why I didn't want you guys, sitting on YouTube with me while I was, trying to figure this out it would have, taken forever but as you could see I,though this whole this whole drum track,is pretty much I laced it up with my old, kick and snare and you'll see how that, comes together so anyway here's the, here's the 4 bar original loop now, here's what I did I knew that I was, gonna have my own kick and snare so one,of the things I did was let's take a,look at the akyuu I cut out some of the, kick of the low end frequencies around, that kick area and I did a little notch, here to just clean up some of the, scratch your highs okay so with the, akyuu on you could hear it's a little, brighter let's let's bypass it a couple, times you see you see you hear that, right it's just I'm thinning it out, right so I did that now once I did that, and have it cleaned up the next thing I,wanted to do was tighten it up a little, bit with a compressor you could use, whatever compressor you liked your, favorite, like the CLA 2:8 so I quote when I had, let's let's take a look at the let's see,how much I'm squeezing this thing as you,can see I'm doing very little right I'm,almost at minus 1 and let's bypass it a,few times it's real subtle but you know,as I always say it's it's it's a series,of these little things that you do that, you know create a completely different, thing when you're done so not bad right, pretty nice tightens it up makes the, sound more richard room works is,basically the standard reverb for Cubase,Mike I kind of like it it's not a great, verb it's not a terrible one but I'm,just kind of used to it so I have very, little very little you see my mixes 15,to basically weten up the drum loop you,see that right away wet ins it up ok,let's move on to the kick I'm gonna go,ahead and mute this thing on by the way, before I forget um if you notice up here,my drum loop the kick and the snare, are al

Storage and mixer case review for mobile DJs. Apache 4800 HART Rolling Stacking Toolbox.
what's going on youtube it's your boy, logistical styles coming at you with, another video and today we're going to,do a couple of,quick product reviews these aren't,necessarily dj equipment reviews but, there's some gear that you can use as a,dj especially a mobile dj,and it's basically some cases and i've,come up with a,couple of really good uses for these, cases and they're just, general purpose cases that you can get,at hardware stores and general, department stores like walmart, but they really can be a benefit to a,mobile dj,now the first case that i'm showing you,is this one right here,we're going to start with the top one, these are three different, compartments and they come separately, and when i made the initial purchase i,bought it,specifically for one reason but then i,started to see the, potential for getting the whole setup, and so we're just going to go over that,so this right here this is a case that's,made by heart it's a company that, basically is walmart's in-house brand, for uh equipment, not just equipment but uh hardware tools, and other, accessories walmart has a couple of,different brands inside but, this one is their their upper level of,brand for, tools and what have you but i bought, this i saw this case when i was in there, shopping one day,and i thought it would be perfect for, transporting,my mini moving headlights so what i did, was, this is the light that i have you know, many moving heads are kind of,not necessarily they're kind of generic, but um,i've had these for a while and i've just, been transporting them,in the box that they came in which was, just a cardboard box and it used this, styrofoam inside the box to keep it,secure,so one day when i was in walmart i saw, this case right here and decided well,i'll keep using the styrofoam and then, put it in these cases and it'll make, transporting these lights a lot more, easier and more efficient, this box right here costs 24 bucks, and you get this box right here, and what's cool about this case is it's,got these blue latches on it,so you can stack other cases on top of,it,lock them in place and then you can, carry two at once,so i went back and i bought another one, this case i use for the rest of my,lighting gear, which is my par 36's,and all the dmx cabling, the power cabling power strips, they're all neatly stored in here, tied up with a velcro wraps to keep them, all secure,so i got these for 24,25 each what's really cool is they,uh they lock into place, and if you need to just take a couple of,cases with you, then you can just take those two cases,so that's my lighting rig for the most, part minus the, stands and the scrims all my lighting, stuff is in here,so if i'm doing a gig and i have to have, lights i bring that with me,this part right here is basically this,is the base,of the setup it's a little bit bigger, compartment,it's got wheels it's got a the track a,retractable, handle and you can move it like a hand, cart, this right here is where i keep all my,audio cables my power cables for my,speakers and

10 Of The BEST Fragrance Layering Combinations You Can Try Out - How To Layer Fragrances
10 Of The BEST Fragrance Layering Combinations You Can Try Out - How To Layer Fragrances
hey friends ash here with jensen's how,are you doing hope you're doing well, today i'm tackling a video that's been, requested numerous times since i started, the channel, layering yes we're talking about, fragrance layering combinations, specifically 10 different combinations, that you guys sent in so on the, community tab i made a post and i asked, you guys what is your favorite layering, combo what is the best melding of two, fragrances for you that you think just, smells amazing something greater than, the sum of its parts two fragrances that, come together like peanut butter and, jelly because not always do fragrances, work hand in hand and work harmoniously, sometimes instead of peanut butter and, jelly it comes across like peanut butter, and dirty sardines,so i picked out 10 fragrance, combinations that you guys gave to me on,the post and today we're going to go,over those and see how they smell so,shout out to everybody that made a,submission let's jump into it let's,check out some awesome layering combos, now in case for some reason you're,unaware of what layering is,it's what it sounds like usually people, will spray one fragrance and then spray, another fragrance on top of it so that's,where you get layering, some people like to take fragrances and,mix them together in a separate, container and have like a,frankensteinian fragrance that they, spray on and then other people will, spray one fragrance on somewhere and, then a different fragrance on somewhere, else so the two fragrances kind of meld, together in the air but all of those, essentially are, layering let's kick it off with our, first layer this one is courtesy of,flight and gravity cool name one time i,layered ck1 with oncreate noir and i,basically ended up with something that, smelled like territor mez i figured my,layering skills had peaked right then, and there and i haven't layered ever, since i actually really dig that you, just realize i i did something here i'm,gonna i'm gonna quit while i'm on top, yeah so this one has two cheapy staples, ankare noir from lalique and ck1 from, calvin klein and i did layer these, together and found it did kind of smell, like terra durmez actually now the ck1,does get swallowed up a lot by the, ankara noir which you would expect, because ankara noir has a much bigger, punch than ck1 ck1,pretty pretty mellow just kind of a,soapy clean fragrance not a huge amount,of projection encrypted noir more of a,dark rudy vetiver with cashmere what's,strange here is when i layered them, together it almost came across like, fresh and peppery in the opening which, doesn't make a ton of sense and yet, that's how it smelled and that does tie,it in with how territor mess comes, across like tara dermes with a less, aggressive dirty orange and more of a,slight soapy peppery citrus leading into, encrypt noir with that vat of her, anchoring everything down and so this, combo ankri noir and ck1,actually worked oh and also guys if you,uh are shopping ever at jomashop.com,make sure you layer in a combo of uh the,co

Vocal Mixing Tip – Double-Stacked Compression
Vocal Mixing Tip – Double-Stacked Compression
hey friend Graham here from the,Recording Revolution and today I want to,show you a simple trick you can use to,make your vocals pop and sit right up,front in your mix it's one of my,favourite things I do it's super easy to,do and I'm going to show it to you today, using a couple plugins specifically the,CLA 2 a which is a great emulation of,la-2a which is one of the most famous, compressors of all time and you'll see,why so the trick is something called, double stacked vocal compression now, here I have a vocal in a song and it's,got all right now it's got the SSL,channel on it doing some EQ and a little, bit of compression there and then I'm,just I have a de-esser on it so that's,all the vocal has currently and let's,take a listen to where we're at,you can conquer the world can put on a,show you can be like in nine forever you,in dollars you can have everything, all right things are sounded pretty good,we're nearing the end here but if you, find that your vocal while sounding okay, doesn't sound amazing it doesn't sound, like every syllable is in your face, which if you take a listen to a lot of,modern music no matter what the genre, you will notice that every syllable, every moment every word seems to just be,in the front how do they do that they do,that with compression how to do that, with compression with lots of,compression but the secret isn't to just, slam your vocal with compression it's to,spread that compression out over two or,more compressors so that each compressor, doesn't work very hard so you get the, best sound out of each compressor but,the cumulative effect is that up front, sound okay tracking with me let's just, back it up here the SSL is doing some, compression watch the gain reduction, here so three DB of gain reduction maybe, hear a little bit more tonight forevers, yeah about three to four to five DB,that's not going to hit the next light,Tula hits 6 DB so a nice conservative I,like this level of compression on the, vocal but I want it to really be more up,front so let's leave that compressor, alone and let's grab the la-2a this is,from the CLA classic compressors I have, all of them but I love the la-2a it just,is one of the smoothest sounding, compressors and you almost can't beat it,on vocals I know it's it's not as,aggressive as say an 1176,and this rock vocal might benefit from,an 1176 sound but I just love personally, the la-2a,sound even on aggressive vocals so what,I'm going to do is just turn this on,I've got two already dialed in the way I,like it take a listen to what adding, this compressor does you're going to see,it's going to do again max 5 dB maybe 6,DB of gain reduction it's a similar, setting to the first compressor and this,is happening after the, pression you can conquer the world you,can put on a show you can be recognized, wherever you go nice and upfront, especially when the vocal falls off, wherever you go that part tends to get, swallowed up without the compression but,it stays there with the compression what,I'll do now is I'll

Ultimate Food Hacks Compilation
Ultimate Food Hacks Compilation
today i've put together a compilation of,some of my favorite food hack videos, which i've made over the years,if you enjoy this video you can make, sure you don't miss any future videos,by subscribing to my channel then, clicking the notification bell, and selecting all here's a great one to,start with, take a bowl place a wine glass inside, fill it with crisps,or chips and fill the glass up with a,dip, perfect for sharing if you've got a,peeler like, this have you ever used the little, triangle section on the side,it's quite good for cutting out bad bits,of the potato but also, once you've peeled it you can use it for, cutting your own french fries,it's really easy and just fry them off,in some oil,you can also use your peeler to slice, the potato into nice, thin slices which you can fry,to make your own crisps or chips, you can easily peel a potato by making a,thin slice around the middle, then boil as normal drain them off,and cool them down a little and you, should be able to just pull the skin, clean off the potato,so much easier than peeling,if you need to warm up a couple of bowls,of food in a microwave but can't fit, them both in together, place a mug alongside of one bowl and,put the second bowl on top, cooking rice give it a bit more flavor,by mixing in a vegetable stock cube as,it cooks, you can pour any leftover sauces or wine, into an ice cube tray, and keep it in the freezer to use, another day, here's a really cool way to slice up a,pepper chop off the top and bottom, slice down the side then slice around, the inside to remove the middle, push the stalk out of the top and it's,ready for chopping, you can use one of these rubber jar lid, grips,to peel a clove of garlic wrap it over, the clove, roll it back and forward and the garlic, should just fall out of the skin,in a similar way you can just give it a,quick squeeze under a knife blade, and if you want to you can use a fork to,mash it,sometimes salad bags don't seem to last, long, but you can increase the life of your, next bag by taking a sheet of kitchen, paper, tucking it up the base of the bag and, storing it like this, the paper absorbs moisture and the salad, stays fresh for a lot longer,to cut a whole load of cherry tomatoes,in half place them on a plate, put another one on top like this, and run a sharp knife in between the, plates,it's really quick and easy you can take,a plum tomato, cut it at an angle like this then cut it,in half to make a heart shape, for decorating a salad,or cut two tomatoes and pin them, together with a toothpick, these multi-blade scissors are really, good for cutting up herbs, and a teaspoon is really good for, peeling ginger, you can dice up an onion easily by,cutting it in half, put a horizontal slice down the middle, slice across the onion, like this then slice it up,or if you want to keep your fingers, further away take a hair pick, and use it like this, pretty cool huh it makes it so easy, you can use it for cucumber, tomatoes it gives you these lovely even, slices,or even a lemon, you can cut a lemon
