hi i'm tv from socio in this video,i'll be taking you through the facebook,shop setup process,before we get started there are a couple,of things we'll need to check,first do you have an existing facebook,shop on your page,if so you will need to delete this,existing shop,before making a new one this is because,you can't switch catalogs once you've,set up a facebook shop,to delete the shop follow the guide in,the description,or click on the annotation that pops up,on the video,second make sure you've created a,facebook catalog through socio,during the shop setup process you will,have to select a catalog,and so you'll need one ready to go,okay great so let's get your facebook,shop set up,head over to your facebook business,manager here's a link so you can access,it,directly business.facebook.com,click on this icon on the top left and,then go to your business settings on,this page,find a tab called data sources on the,left hand side,and then click on catalogs under this,tab,here you will find a list of catalogs,that are under your facebook business,manager,select the catalog you've just created,using socio,look to the top right of this screen and,view your catalog details by clicking,the open in commerce manager button on,this screen,find a shops tab on the left hand side,and then click,go to shops this will begin the facebook,shop setup process,on the first screen you can choose,whether you want to enable,customer checkout through your ecommerce,website,or through facebook or instagram itself,facebook checkouts is a feature,that allows customers to purchase,directly from your shop,without redirecting to your store to,keep it,simple though we'll proceed with the,default selection,check out on another website which is,going to be your e-commerce tour,in the next step select your facebook or,instagram page,under the associated business account,where you want your shop to show up,just a quick tip if your facebook or,instagram page is greyed out,make sure you do not have a facebook,shop already published on the page,to remove an existing facebook shop,follow the link in the description,or click on this annotation once you,select your facebook or instagram page,facebook may prompt you to confirm your,business email address,go ahead and verify this after this step,select the product catalog that you've,created using socio,if you can't find your catalog on this,screen,make sure that the products in your,catalog are approved by facebook,you can check this by heading over to,your facebook catalog manager,on the next screen simply review your,facebook shop settings,to make sure you've got everything right,and then click,finish setup that was your facebook shop,setup done however your shop isn't,published on your pages,just yet on the next window that pops up,click on view and customize shop this,is your facebook shop builder here you,can customize your shop to your liking,and then publish the shop that's it your,shop will now show up,on your facebook or instag

the single most important thing to think,about when you create your branded,catalog is your message,what exactly are you hoping to,communicate to your customers are you,running a sale,promoting seasonal products,objection busting,each of these require a different type,of template,now for a sale you could try a slashed,price template or maybe a percentage,discount both of these will,automatically pull the correct price and,discount for each product directly from,your store for objection busting we,found reviews templates to be insanely,effective both at the top and at the,bottom of the funnel and again these are,fully automated they will pull actual,customer testimonials for each product,from your reviews platform or csv file,another very popular type of template is,rotating backgrounds these are specially,great for visually undifferentiated,products like earphones or spare parts,you can remove the background of your,products directly through socio and,replace it with on brand colors or,images,you'll find more ideas about how and,when to use each type of template right,here,so let's say i'm running a sale,i'm gonna go with a slashed price,template,ah great here's one with the,strikethrough price as well as the,discount percentage,once i've selected my template i get all,the information that i need right here,there are tips to guide me through any,additional steps that this design may,require like connecting my reviews,platform or mapping any secondary image,to my template,okay now we decide which products to use,in our catalog i do usually recommend,starting with a full shop catalogue but,since we are promoting a sale here i'm,going to go with my sale collection,and here is a preview of our newly made,branded catalog,if i'm happy with it i simply hit,publish and this catalog will get sent,straight to my meta business manager,but what if i want some edits,so there are two main ways in which you,may want to edit your branded catalogue,if you want to make an edit once but,have it apply to all the products in,your catalog then you need to edit your,master template this is probably the,single most important thing that you,need to know about the branded catalog,your master template may have just one,variation in which case all the products,in your catalog will use this design,but some branded catalogs include,multiple variations like this one here,in this case your products will rotate,through the designs as you can see down,here now let's say we edit one variation,the changes i made here will apply only,to the products that are using this,variation and my feed will start to look,like this,so to have your changes apply to all,your products do make sure that you edit,all the variations of your master,template,now you may also want to just edit an,individual product maybe the fitting is,off or you want to update the product's,image,you can make these individual edits by,using the edit button below the card,the important thing to remember here is,that any

hey guys my name is karan and i'm the,founder of socio,and today we're going to talk about ios,14,and its impact on facebook advertising,this is a very large and a very complex,change,so i've tried to keep this presentation,very founder focused,we're going to keep this very narrowly,focused on e-commerce advertising,on the facebook ads platform and if you,have any questions please shoot me an,email,and i'll be happy to answer i will spend,a little bit of time on the,technical details of the issue itself,and then answer questions that we've,been getting from our users,and yes we will discuss in detail,how your ads performance will be,impacted with these changes,and what you can do to better prepare,for that so far,apps have been able to collect all the,data that they wanted and there was no,need to get user consent,and if a user wanted to opt out of this,they had to do it themselves,and hardly anyone did it going forward,this changes with ios 14,apps have to explicitly ask users if,they give them permission to track and,profile them,and the concern is that most people will,opt out of it,and it's not clear what impact it will,have on,audiences ross and ad performance in,general,let's start with understanding how,facebook's data collection and tracking,works today,and this will continue to work the same,way for all,non-ios traffic as well as for users,who've,opted in to share their data with,facebook so in this example if i,current click on an ad facebook,generates,a new id to track my click and all the,data related to my click is stored,against this click,id it's also known as fbclid,which really stands for facebook click,id the main thing to note here is that,all the data that is collected is stored,against,each individual user which is current in,this case,now what this click id is is really a,long string of characters that can,uniquely identify,each and every click across the facebook,platform and facebook,stores all the details of my activity,against this click id,in their backend database and this is,generated for,all clicks going out of the facebook,platform and this includes organic,clicks,and paid clicks now as i click on the ad,advertiser's website opens inside of a,browser tab,the first thing to note here is that,this click id is sent,to the advertiser's website as a part of,the url,same way utm parameters are sent to the,advertiser's website,if you added them in your url now on the,destination site,as the site opens the facebook pixel,code loads,and this reads this click id from the,url,and saves it as a part of a cookie,inside the browser,after that the pixel continues to do its,job,as it did in the past it tracks all my,activity on the website via events,things like page view event view content,event add to cart and purchase a bit,with each one of these events this click,id,which was stored as a cookie is sent,back to the facebook servers,so now facebook knows which ad,got the click who clicked it what,website they went to,what product

hello my friends today we talk about,meta commerce which is not beyond,commerce it's just the name for facebook,and instagram shopping,starting 2020 with the covet pandemic,facebook accelerated a lot they're,moving to e-commerce facebook,marketplaces was there already and it,was basically like a place where,consumers would sell stuff to other,consumers so my second and bicycle or,your secondhand surfboard and so on but,then facebook shops was introduced and,some of you many of us remember the,joint web conference between mark,zuckerberg and tobias lutke ceo of,shopify and then instagram shopping was,even newer came later was kind of,confused at the beginning but they had,to create a way to manage both facebook,shops and instagram shopping and so came,facebook business suite then they,changed the name to the company from,facebook to meta and facebook business,to it became meta business suit and what,is it well business suite is a place,where you as a seller can manage your,ads your meta advertising on instagram,and on facebook you can manage your,pages your products and you can manage,your shopping so shopping is what we are,interested in today shopping within,facebook and instagram is evolving a lot,it's going fairly quickly and it's,improving but the base of this shopping,are products what you may call listings,so products are managed inside meta,commerce catalogs the catalogs are,collections of products and they're,smart collections of products so you,have all your products somewhere maybe,you got them in shopify maybe you got,them in ebay maybe you got them in,amazon maybe you got them in etsy and,you can transfer these products within,meta and assign them into these smart,collections which have a name and some,rules and they can be connected to your,meta properties which are typically your,facebook shop more than one facebook,shops and your instagram shopping and,you can have different catalogues for,different properties and different,catalogs for different countries so how,do you go about it you log into your,meta business suite you click on,commerce manager and there you see your,catalogs and you can create new catalogs,and you can create new products or you,can assign products to catalogs and then,assign these catalogs to your facebook,shops and instagram shopping account so,i can tell you sellers are moving flux,onto meta properties or truly are they,moving no they're not moving they're,like they're adding so they're adding,facebook shops and instagram shopping to,their marketing mix to their mix of,existing channels and that's exactly,what nimble helps you to do so of course,sellers use these properties to increase,their online presence to have their,products shown in yet a couple more,product search engines to take advantage,of the mechanics of interaction within,instagram and facebook which shows stuff,out of discovery rather than search so,it's a completely different environment,as opposed to google for instance they,find new customer

we're actually right now inside the ads,manager and we're gonna start here but I,want you to know that you should never,ever ever be clicking this little button,up here that says create an ad this is a,really bad way to run ads you don't want,to run out it's like this you always,want to be inside the power editor now,the truth about the power editor is,people get ridiculously freaked out,about it but it's actually the exact,same it's the same process they just,make it look more intimidating I don't,know why but the reason we want to be in,the the power editor is you ever tried,to run a Facebook ad or an Instagram ad,and you've seen it like how is it that,some people can have these ads that are,like text on text on text it looks like,they wrote a freaking novel and put it,in their ad and then you go to run it,and you get cut off at 140 characters,because you're using ads manager not the,power editor the power editor removes,limitations opens up new tracking,features and honestly you just want to,be in there I tell all of my students if,you're not in the power editor you,didn't come to play ball so start in the,ads manager but you click this button up,in the top left and you take it over to,the power editor now if things change,just now you can always go to,facebook-dot-com forward-slash ads,forward slash manage forward slash power,editor now when we get in here it's,gonna look like whoa what's going on,what this really breaks down to is you,don't need to really understand a lot of,this stuff other than campaigns ad sets,and ads okay so at the surface level the,way Facebook breaks things down is you,have campaigns and campaigns tell,Facebook what you want to do do you want,to get video views do you want to get,conversions do you want to get clicks to,your website do you want to get post,likes do you want people to just like,you on Instagram do you want to get new,followers so you tell it at the campaign,level what the goal of it is the ad set,level is housed within the campaign okay,so you have one campaign and it can have,as many ad sets as you want contained,under it so we're gonna tell Facebook,hey I want to run this for conversions,and I want to test out these 10,different ad sets and when an ad set,does is it allows you to set the budget,and the placement so you're gonna be,saying okay I want to run this for,conversions to get people to join my,list and I want to spend $5 a day,targeting Instagram we'll just keep it,simple,you want to target Instagram and you,want to spend $5,today that's one on set I run another ad,set where let's say I want to spend,$5.00 a day and I want to target Amy,Porterfield then I'm gonna spend $5.00 a,day on Amy Porterfield that's another ad,set and then each ad set has an,unlimited number of ads and the ad is,the copy the picture the image where you,actually see in the Instagram feed okay,so that's like a very quick explanation,of how it works here's all you have to,know one campaign feel free to put as,many ad sets

hey guys what's going on sunny here from,online sales funnel academy coming to,you from my home office,near seattle washington hey guys have i,got a great video for you tonight,tonight,the question on the table is which is,better,etsy ad or facebook ads well,i'm so glad you asked because the answer,is,not so fast there's more to it than that,and you should know that by now,stay tuned and we'll get the answer,right now,hey guys don't forget to smash that,subscribe button,and tap the bell for notifications so,you get notified next time i go live,see you soon hey guys welcome back to,today's video,in today's video we're going to be,talking about which is better an etsy ad,or a facebook ad,that is a great question now if you're,new to the world of product selling you,may not know that etsy is a website that,is designed for handmade items to be,uploaded onto it,and they're sold and a commission of,those sales goes to etsy,just as they would as they're being sold,on amazon so last year i was working,with a seller on etsy and he was selling,a product it was around forty nine,dollars let's just say it was fifty,dollars,and when i first met him he would get a,sale like once every,four or five days and he wasn't running,ads at all,so i started working with him and we're,trying to figure out like what is the,best way for us to leverage,paid advertising along with organic,advertising,so just like many of the people probably,watching my channel he was a brand new,seller just starting out with not a,whole lot of marketing education,and not knowing exactly what to do to,get the sale but he was sure trying i'll,give him that,and that's a great place to be you know,because it gives you time to figure out,who you are,as a consumer when you're learning,marketing it,gives you the opportunity to learn your,chops so last year when i was working,with him on his,etsy store we started running a five to,ten dollar a day,ad budget inside of etsy now if you're,new to etsy or don't know the program,or what they have over there etsy has a,platform over there where,they will let you run paid advertising,to their um to the products in your,store,and in the middle of last year they,actually change their terms of service,where they send an email out to all of,the people who are selling and they said,that,from now on they were going to also uh,promote their products for them,over on youtube and externally over on,google,outside of the control and if they,happen to get any sales they would just,deduct it out of their,um their commission for the week or the,month or however often they got paid,this is a good strategy this is a pretty,good strategy if you're a little,a little guy you're just starting out um,the etsy,commission fees are a little tiny high,for my taste i believe they're around,five percent but if you're someone who's,just getting your feet wet and you're,trying to figure out marketing for the,very first time,i definitely recommend that you start,running a few dollars a
