Let's move on to the first section of Snowfall Effect Plus
CC Rainfall + CC Snowfall | Effects of After Effects
CC Rainfall + CC Snowfall | Effects of After Effects
cc rainfall and cc snowfall are both, underneath the simulation category and, let's just start with cc rainfall i'll,apply this to a photo of this dock and,it's a little hard to see but we have, some lines all throughout our image now, that's a pretty good approximation of,what rain looks like so if i play this, you'll actually notice that it's,animated and now it's very obvious to be,able to see that drizzle it's actually, pretty convincing just with the default, settings but we have a lot of controls,to shape this rain to look exactly how,we want it let's take a look at the, controls i'll zoom in to 100,and it's easiest to see in these points,of contrast but you can really tell that, there's a lot of depth to this rain with, bigger drops and smaller drops off in,the distance and that's why it's under, the simulation category because, technically this is a particle emitter, working with actual 3d space,so let's pause that and take a look at,the controls the first option is drops, this is simply the rainfall count so we,could make it look like a just very, slight sprinkle if we turn this down to,say 700 and play this back,or we could even crank that down to 100,and then it's just a couple of sprinkles, every so often and you could easily, keyframe this to control rainfall, beginning in a shot or in an animation, let's reset that back to 5000 the next, setting is the size of the rain so i,could turn that up to make it a lot more, noticeable and as i do that you can see, that it is pretty soft and transparent, which obviously rain would look that way,if you've ever seen video of a rainstorm,it's actually really hard to see, raindrops and in movies or tv shows, where they have to have rain they use an,insane amount of water dropping on top,of the actors and they light it in the,way so that it shows up really crystal, clearly so this effect does a pretty, good job of replicating the way that, rain would actually look i'll reset that, size back down to a default again and,the next control is the scene depth and, this actually might be a little bit hard,to see on top of the photo so what i'm,going to do is just add a fill effect, before the rainfall and just make it,black so that we can really see those, raindrops and in fact i'm going to skip, down to the opacity value real quick and, just increase the opacity so it's much, easier to see what's happening now if i,increase the scene depth the rain is,shifting around a lot but what's really, happening is that the individual layers, and positioning of each one of these, raindrops or particles is being spread, out in the z-axis so we're literally, increasing the depth between raindrops, and if i scale this way back down then,it's going to compress that z axis until,we just have this big jumbled mess of,lines that kind of looks like it's all, existing in one single plane, all right let's reset that to defaults, again i'll turn off that fill effect, next we have the speed so if i turn this, way way down so let's say maybe around,750 and play this back

Animating snowfall in Blender with seamless looping particle systems.
Animating snowfall in Blender with seamless looping particle systems.
hey everybody i made this little, animation, recently and a couple folks asked about, the falling snow and how that was done, and how it loops seamlessly so i thought,i would take that as an opportunity to,make a video about how to do that, and i won't model the whole scene that, you're seeing here i won't texture it or,anything like that i'll just focus on,the snowfall part of it and we'll do,three things basically we'll first start, out with some objects and create a basic, particle animation with those things and, then we'll make it feel a little bit, more like, snowfall by working with a couple force, fields and then finally we'll arrange, things, together so we get a nice fluid seamless, loop,so with that in mind let's get going and, let's make some let's make some snow so,i want to start out by just blocking out, some big pieces of the scene like the, ground, and i'll just use a plane for that and,i'll scale this up maybe like 4x,and then extrude it down, something like that,so this will be our ground surface that, the the snowflakes are going to fall, onto and one thing i like to do pretty, early on in any of these isometric, illustrations or,or animations is to add uh add an iso, cam, and i'll put a link to this add-on in,the description,in case you don't already have this and,the reason why i like to do this is,because i'm constantly interested in how,the scene is coming together, from, the point of view of the actual render, itself,so just kind of compositionally i check,in from time to time,so i want to zoom in here a little bit, something like, something like that maybe that looks, okay, and then the next object we'll need is,something, for the,the particles to emit from so i'll just, add another, plane for that and i'll scale that up,for as well, and i'll move that just out of view of,the camera so the particles can come, into view, already, being born and in motion and all that, stuff, and then uh and then we'll add,uh an object that would be our snowflake, itself so let's just add,a circle this does not have to be very, detailed or anything, because they're going to be super small, and you won't see any of that detail so,we'll just add something simple, and, let's,move this a little bit out of view like, this and then let's do again this does, not have to be,uh very intricate at all so we'll just, inset this face, maybe extrude this up like that i think,i'd like, something a little bit more rounded so,maybe we'll take these inset faces and, scale them up,along the z something like, something like that uh yeah that should,do and maybe we'll shade it smooth, although that probably doesn't matter, either, and then finally let's just scale, everything down a little bit,and then, apply, the scale so that's our snowflake let's,do a little housekeeping let's call this, thing, lake and then let's move it in its own, collection we'll call that snow, and then we'll name the ground, ground and then, the, thing that's going to be emitting, our particles we'll name that something, like cloud, and then let's move l

California Winter Storm: Atmospheric river returning with heavy rain, snow, wind
California Winter Storm: Atmospheric river returning with heavy rain, snow, wind
hey everybody ABC 10 meteorologist,Brendan menchef here with a storm watch, update for you because we had one break,in the rain and that was today for,Tuesday by the time we get in towards,Wednesday and the rest of the week it is,going to be much wetter and especially, windier for the middle part of this week,as well so this is the radar uh for,Tuesday you can see just some drizzle at,times throughout the daytime today some, very light showers that was it that was,the only break we had so I hope a lot of,us were able to use it to prepare and to,clean up from the previous storm and of,course get ready for the next one, because as we look at Wednesday highs, will be in the middle to Upper 50s for, much of us but it will be rainy and it,will be very windy as well as we go,through Wednesday so let's start to,break it down we'll start with, futurecast here as we work through the, overnight hours on Tuesday we're going,to stay dry it'll be cloudy but we'll be,dry,by the time we wake up and we go to work,on Wednesday morning this is 5 a.m,Wednesday morning you can see the first, bits of rain starting to move through uh,Northern California from the Bay Area, into the valley this is kind of a,different path than some of the previous, storms we've had this one's going from, the southwest off to the Northeast in,terms of Direction uh tomorrow morning, that's because this one this first band,of rain I should say associated with a,warm front that moves in as it pushes, through the valley through the morning, hours so now we're at 8 30 on Wednesday, morning we'll be looking at some periods,of heavy rain through the morning, commute snow starting as well by the, time we get towards six seven o'clock in,the morning so if you're coming down, from the Sierra or headed up to the,Sierra on Wednesday morning be aware we,are watching for the potential of some, very heavy snow starting for that, morning commute but once this warm front, pushes off to the north through the late, morning early afternoon hours between, the warm front and the cold front which, will still be offshore at this point,we'll have a little bit of a pause in,terms of the heavy stuff could have a,shower two but for the most part does, look dry and cloudy through the, afternoon maybe through the early part,of the Wednesday evening commute but you,see that heavier rain and it will be,pushing on in as we work through the, evening hours so by the time we get to,seven o'clock on Wednesday here's what, futurecast looks like this heavier rain,is associated with a strong cold front, that is moving on through so I'll tell, you what it's not just the rain but the, winds you can see the winds out of the,South Winds will be picking up in,intensity throughout the daytime on,Wednesday with gusts going initially, from 20 miles an hour in the morning, towards 25 30 35 40 gusting potentially,up to 60 miles an hour we'll break the, winds down more in just a second but,it's not just the rain keep in mind,we'll see a lot of wind as well which, will crea

Create Realistic Snowfall in After Effects - No Plugins
Create Realistic Snowfall in After Effects - No Plugins
hey guys what's up this is nikhil from, docomo she's calm and welcome to this,brand-new After Effects quick tip video, into this quick tip I'm gonna show you, guys how you can create this kind of,really cool and realistic looking snow, fall into after effects without using, any third-party plugin so without any, further ado let's get straight into the, tutorial and get started alright so here,i have my image in our using use of,footage as well but just for tutorials, sake i'm going to use an image just to,show you guys so i'm going to select it,and drag it into a new comp and just for,the record it's 1920 1080 and 30 creeps,so here i have my image loaded and what,we need to do is select the layer go to,fix and preset and type in CC snowfall, there we have it and just drag it onto, our image or footage if you have one and,as you can see right off the bat we are, going to get this really amazing looking, snow far right well no right now it,looks pretty lame but we're gonna fix it,and make it look really nice and, realistic so let's tweak some settings, and let's see how we can make it look, really really nice so first of all what,i really like to do is to increase the, size of the snowflake to let's say, around eight and increase the variation,to 50 then I like to tweak around with, the scene depth and now it depends on,what kind of end snowfall you are gonna, create like if you want to create kind,of a windy heavy snowfall or kind of a,subtle one so we are going to create, both of them so first of all i'm going,to show you guys how we can create kind,of a windy snowfall so for that i wanna, increase or maybe decrease the scene, depth to let's say 300 a 3000 i'm so I,have much snow vics now you can go and, increase the snowflakes as well but I,like to you know keep it at default and, play around with the scene depth but you,can do the voiceover size, then I'm gonna go and increase the speed,to let's say somewhere around 700 makes,it look like rain you know so let's,increase the variation I'll leave the, variation 50 and increase the wind to,300 maybe it's pretty nice but it's,still not really you know organic and, doesn't look at realistic so to make it,look realistic what we need to do this, increase the spread play around with, this grip so I'm going to increase it,all the way up to let's say around 60,and what this is going to do is instead,of snowflakes you know coming down or,falling in a linear pattern it's gonna, make them organic and you know kind of,distribute them and keep that randomness,to red card for particles now it's,looking more realistic and looking, really organic if that looks good to me,you can also go ahead and increase the, variation to let's say maybe fifty, percent and let's go and increase the, speed a bit let's say eight hundred and, this is looking really nice you can also,go ahead and tweak some settings as you, like you know play around with some, settings and try to come up with really, nice variations now you don't need to,follow the exact settings that

Summer to Winter Snow Photo Transformation - Create Snowfall Season Scene in Photoshop Manipulation
Summer to Winter Snow Photo Transformation - Create Snowfall Season Scene in Photoshop Manipulation
Oh,how to transform your photos from summer,to winter snowfall in Photoshop,in this photo effects tutorial I will, show you in detail how to turn or change, any summer photo into realistic winters,no effect in Photoshop let's get started, first desaturate the warm tones in order,to give the image dull winter feeling, choose channel mixer select monochrome, adjust the percentages for the red green, and blue channels, drag sliders while watching the live, preview to find the best result, now select layer mask and go to image, tab add apply image it makes the colors, washed out and give the photo cloudy and, overcast feel select the background, layer then go to select color range, select option to sample colors then, click around on the canvas to sample, different tones try to find a selection, that provides good contrast while, keeping an eye on a small preview box to,see the result the fuzziness slider, again we adjusted protein the brightness,of the selection, delete unwanted selection using marquee,or little phones, add new blank layer while the color, range selection is active then fill this, area with white, deselect the selection, move the layer to top, apply Gaussian blur to the layer to,soften the edges choose small radius and, then click OK double click the layer to,open the blending options window select, underlying layer hold the Alt key and, drag the black slider by doing this we,will partially hide the gray potions to,achieve a better blending with the, background image, now add curves adjustment,in the properties panel click the order, button to apply the auto contrast, adjustment, create a new layer and fill it with, black,go to filter noise add noise, configure the settings to 100% Gaussian, and monochromatic head straight to,filter blur Gaussian blur and take the, sharpness away from the noise by adding, one pixel blur change the blending mode,of this layer to screen go to image, adjustments levels then drag the shadows, slider towards the right to reduce the, density of the white noise until it,looks like a light flurry of snow add, another new layer and follow the, previous steps of filling it with black, and adding the noise filter and then,Gaussian blur with one pixel, also add a motion blur filter with the, settings of ten pixels in a slight, diagonal angle, change the blending mode of the Slayer,to screen use the levels to reduce the, density of this new pattern, then enlarge the layer with free, transform tool, add a third snow layer following the, same steps, except this time altar the motion blur, direction, and scale up the layer even further, these three snow layers will add depth,to the effect with large blurry, snowflakes in the foreground through two, smaller snowflakes in the background add,a color lookup adjustment layer and, select a crisp window preset, reduce the opacity to around 50% to,apply a cool blue color cast, sometimes bright-white Pahlavi is,applied to areas where it isn't required, add layer mask and use a soft brush to,erase it from areas,we're done here is before-

Falling SNOW Particles in After Effects
Falling SNOW Particles in After Effects
that's right we're finally doing an,After Effects tutorial, hey guys your teen town ski the place to,be to develop your creative skills in,this tutorial we're going to be jumping, into After Effects and learning how to,create a falling snow effect all from, scratch now I know a number of you have, been asking for After Effects tutorials, for a while and the reason I've done it,sooner,is I've just not been as proficient in,After Effects as some of the other Adobe, apps however there are some awesome, tutorials out there on YouTube that have, really helped me develop my skills so,without further ado let's jump into it,rightio so we're now in After Effects,we've created a new document and the, first thing to do is create a new, composition so a composition is similar,to a sequence in Premiere Pro and you,can have multiple compositions in one,After Effects document and each, composition gets its own set of layers, down here and its own timeline over here,so first of all let's go to composition,at the top and select a new composition, and you've got lots of settings here I'm,going to give this the name snow and you,can set your width and height to,whatever you like it might be 1920 by,1080 I'm going to go with 800 by 600 the, size of a high-res dribble shot and, something a bit smaller so my laptop, doesn't melt so the frame rate 30 that,is good you can choose which resolution, you preview playback in so we'll leave, that set up full for now you can also, set the duration so I've got 30 seconds, here in the background color but I'm,just going to go with black and click OK,and if you need to edit any of those, settings just go to composition, composition settings and there you go,you've got all of those options there so,it's created the new composition and if,I go over to the project panel here you,can see we have that new comp and it's,automatically added it down here as well,so you can see snow is listed and as you,add or open more compositions they just, run as tabs across this section here now,if you're looking at this thinking my,screen doesn't look like this that's,fine just go up to window down to,workspace you've got lots of different, workspaces to choose from I'm using the, standard one and I've,it a little bit by introducing a few, extra panels but similar to the other,Adobe apps you can turn these panels on,and off drag them around until you, customize your workspace exactly how you, like it okay so we've got our new comp, created we've got our layers section and,our timeline here ready to go we're just, going to import one more thing file, import and file and that's going to be,an image here so I'm just going to,import this image of a photographer with, these settings and click open and if,you'd like to download this project file,I will also link this in the video, description so you can see it's imported, the photographer above our composition,we're just going to drag this image from, the project window inside that snow, composition and you can see it adds it,as a layer and

How to Create Animated Snowfall Effect with Elementor
How to Create Animated Snowfall Effect with Elementor
Hi and welcome to this tutorial. In this
video we'll be creating this,cool-looking snowfall effect that you
can add to your website to add some, holiday feel to your pages. It's pretty
easy to create an really beginner, friendly, it doesn't require any coding
skills or any knowledge beyond that that, you have about Elementor page builder.
So if you're familiar with Elementor,it'll be a pretty easy one.
Besides Elementor to create this snowfall, effect we're gonna need the JetTricks
add-on for Elementor, which is a great, plugin that can do a lot of things such
as complex and flexible parallax, sticky, elements and columns, unfolding columns,
view more break, tool tips, section particles,(and actually with the help of section
particles we're going to be creating, this snowfall effect today) and elements
satellite and the hotspots and all of,these are animated, done with really
clean code and fast loading (are super, fast loading) and you can get this JetTricks
add-on for Elementor if you, follow the link in the description under
this video. Let me switch back to,Elementor and show you a couple of
preparation steps that you need to do,before you start creating your particles.
So first go to the section settings or,you can also right-click on some empty
spot and go to edit section. So here you, need to enable this stretch section
option and in the content width, choose full width so your section takes
up all the width of your page. And,there in the height you go and choose
minimum height so you can change the, height of your section manually. So
I actually wanted this section to take up,all the width and all the height of this
part that the user sees on the screen.,And actually if you scroll down there's
a really great,Elementor page template and you can also
learn more about how to get this one for, your website if you follow the link in
the description under this video,so now still staying in these section
settings go to Advanced tab and once, you have installed JetTricks plugin you're
gonna have the JetTricks tab right here,so you open it and you have one single
option in there, it's called enable, particles and you enable this option and
what you've got here is the empty field, and you don't have to do anything there
just yet and you have a little note: "paste, your particles JSON code here generated
from here" and don't be afraid you will, not have to deal with any code because
everything is done with this visual and, really beginner friendly particle
creator so first off let me go ahead and, switch this card off so it doesn't
distract us from creating particles and,we'll go to page background and enable
the hide card option there you have the, background color property and I'm gonna
go ahead and change the background color, and changing the background color in
here,doesn't affect the background color
of the section on your website. you're,gonna go and change the background color
of your section on your website from, your Elementor page builder. I'm
changing the colo

Coding Challenge #88: Snowfall
Coding Challenge #88: Snowfall
hello welcome to a winter themed coating, challenge you know something that I that,I thought I should say is this coding, challenge is probably very similar to my,previous Purple Reign coding challenge, but instead of Purple Rain we're going,to have wintery white snow so I've got a,blank p5.js sketch here I am going to,try to make little snow particles that, fall I'm getting some suggestions from, the chat about like wind and that type,of thing so let's just get started,oh I've got a nice PNG snowflake there, okay so I'm getting lots of so this I,don't know how this is gonna go you, might be watching this as a recorded, video sometime in the future from your, spaceship that's flying around but but I,at the time of this recording there's a,live chat going on and I'm gonna try to,get some good suggestions so the very, first thing that I need to do this is my,codes all it is I'm gonna start with an,object-oriented approach and I'm,actually going to make a new JavaScript, file and I'm gonna call that file, snowflake dot Jas and I am going to make,a class called snowflake and that class,is going to have a constructor and it's,going to have a position and all of,these are going to be vector objects if,you haven't seen a vector object yet a,vector is an object that holds an X or Y,and a Z because we could do this later, maybe a part two in 3d and WebGL we,could swirl around the snow and go,through it in 3d or boy wouldn't that be,exciting but we need a velocity and we,need an acceleration all right now also,we want a function just to render the, snowflake and for now I'm just gonna say,it's white and it's about four pixels, wide and it is just a point and so the, point will be at the position the X&Y,position oh look at this I'm,wonderful sprite sheet of snow textures,we're gonna grab that so thank you I'm,seeing that being submitted Alka if you, could make me a nice like URL that I can, download it here as we're going alright,so what do I want to do now okay so I,definitely want to have an array so I'm,gonna make an array empty a ram to call,it snow and what I'm gonna do is I'm,gonna say snow dot push a new snowflake,so I'm gonna have at least one new, snowflake I'm gonna have one new, snowflake and then I'm going to say for, every flake in of snow right this is my,new favorite kind of JavaScript loop, where I have an array of many things and,I could say for every element in that, array but it's up in does something, different oh I got to do a video about, that cuz I really botched my previous, one I'm gonna say snow Oh - flake dot, render and let's probably pass in never, mind let's let's let's set the location,of the snow in the constructor itself, let's just hard code it right now and, let's see we get Oh snowflake is not, define why is snowflake not defined, because I forgot in my HTML file to,reference that javascript file and I'm,being told by Simon that maybe I have a,syntax error somewhere I'm not sure, where I'll let's just see what happens,oh there it is there is a beautiful
