hi this is Jung from let's go choppy,file and in today's video I will show,you how you can modify the announcement,part of your theme so that you can,display the amount that is missing for,someone to qualify for free shipping and,actually this is fairly easy to,implement if the value only gets updated,on a page refresh so we will start,building exactly that but then we will,also take it to the next level and work,on updating this value without any page,reloads so if someone clicks the Add to,Cart button this should update,automatically and even if someone is on,the cart page and then he decides hey I,want to unlock this free shipping offer,oh maybe I would just add another one of,these then this message should also,update and this implementation will be a,little bit more advanced so you can,decide which one is better for your,level of coding and I also have to give,you a small warning because this,implementation right now won't work very,well in a multi currency setup so this,would need further improvements and this,goes a little bit beyond the scope that,I can teach in this video but anyways I,think this is a great way to increase,the average order value so let's dive,into it alright so most modern themes,already come with some settings in their,customizer to display an announcement,bar and you might either have an entire,section that is called announcement bar,or if you're using the W theme like I do,you have the settings in the header,section so down at the bottom I can show,this announcement bar and here I can,enter the message that I want to display,and in the first step we will go ahead,and add a few settings to this section,so that you can first enter a message,before the free shipping is unlocked,then the success message so when someone,qualifies for free shipping and we will,also have a slider we will select the,threshold value from which free shipping,will be unlocked,so therefore we want to navigate to our,theme files and simply click the action,button and then edit code and as we saw,that the announcement bar settings live,within the header section we want to go,to the section folder and simply open,the file that is called headed liquid,and if your theme had an entire section,that is called announcement bar then you,want to open that file within the,section folder and down at the bottom of,these section files you will find the so,called schema tag and within the schema,we define all the settings that are,available in the live customizer so we,will add our new settings to exactly,that schema tag so let's search for the,settings that are already available and,they should be somewhere at the bottom,so here we have the checkbox to show the,announcement bar and down below we have,the text or the input of type text to,announce something here so this is the,text that will be displayed right now,and you can see that all these control,elements consist of at least three,attributes so we have the type which is,checkbox in this case and an ID so

Smart Bar Fitment and Installation

hey it's ryan from modular racks and,today i want to introduce to you these,smart bar crossbars these are a,universal set of crossbars for the roof,of most vehicles that have either a,raised rail or a flush rifle behind me,here we have this vehicle that has,what's called a flush rail now there are,a couple of exceptions to,what they will fit we're going to take,you through those exceptions then we're,going to get into unboxing this and,installing it on the car so here we have,uh,example a good example of a raised rail,raised rail means that you can actually,fit your hand under it it's not,completely flat mounted to the entire,roof these smart bars will grab onto,this style of rail as long as it's not,round as long as it's got a fairly sharp,edge that the hook can latch onto and,again we'll show you that in a minute so,when we mentioned that there's uh these,are universal but there are some exact,exceptions we'd like to show you what,some of those exceptions are this is the,nissan frontier with a set of rays roof,rails but these ones are round that for,that means there's no sharp edge for the,claw that's on these racks to grab onto,so we'll show you those so you can kind,of get an idea,here's another example of a roof this is,a roof track not a roof rail um if there,was no crossbars in it it might look,like this was something you could attach,to or you'd think on the inside you,might be able to hook the hook on the,universal bars to it but that is not the,case these are designed again for,something specific to the vehicle you,have a track mounted roof rail,with a flush outside this also will not,work,okay here we have what is considered the,most common uh exception to what is,compatible with the multi-fit bars and,that is a roof rail like this one that,is flush on the outside edge if you,don't have any sort of indent or hard,groove that they can grab onto,they will not work so this is a great,example of a set of roof rails that will,not work with the multi-fit bars,okay so now that we've shown you the,different types of roof bars that are,out there and hopefully made it fairly,clear on the ones that these will work,on let's open them up and let's show you,how to install them,on this flush rail bar on this bmw,behind me,all right so,they come,mostly,pre-assembled these are an aluminum set,of crossbars they are not steel so,they're not gonna rust,you have,two crossbars,and two feet on each crossbar we're,going to cut the zap strap and then the,last thing you have is filler strip for,all of the c channel underneath wherever,the foot is not you want to make sure,that's full of the filler strip to make,sure you cut down on any wind noise you,might possibly get okay so now that we,have these out of the box really really,simple install actually comes mostly,pre-assembled,uh we've moved the feet out a little,ways the hooks are already in it so all,we're going to do is we're going to put,this up on the vehicle,and we're going to put,basically this sharp ed

hello everybody and welcome back to,ready steady diy,if it's your first time here thank you,for joining us today we're going to talk,about ratchet straps the ratchet strap,is one of those things a lot of people,think they know,understand and can use and then you put,it in their hand and they do not,understand it they cannot use it and,everything goes very very,wrong you can't be good at anything if,you don't practice,including ratchet straps so let's get,going,if you've listened to this channel for,any length of time you'll know that i,really like to read the manual for any,new tool i buy,and i recommend it for other people to,do that too the one tool,that i buy quite often that does not,usually come with a manual,is a ratchet strap it is the weirdest,thing because as a tool goes,it's a tool that a lot of people,misunderstand and misuse all the time,i can tell you many stories of coming,back to the camera truck,and seeing a camera assistant struggle,with a ratchet strap,that they thought they knew how to use,properly but actually don't that's okay,you just have to learn and the funny,thing about ratchet straps,is it's hard to find somewhere to learn,but that's okay that's what youtube is,for so today we're gonna go over how to,use a ratchet strap we're gonna confront,all of your ratchet strap anxiety,we're gonna go over what the parts are,called we're gonna go over how to,ratchet it how to open it and in the end,you will not be afraid of ratchet straps,anymore my friend so let's get going,so essentially a ratchet strap is uh,comprised of a ratcheting mechanism,and some webbing the webbing can be one,inches two inches three inches,it really depends on what you're,ratcheting down the ratcheting mechanism,and the webbing,are common to all ratchet straps most,ratchet straps have hooks on either end,but not always,some of my ratchet straps have butterfly,clips on the ends or sometimes no,hardware at all the ratcheting mechanism,is comprised essentially of,four main components there's the,windlass there's two,pawls and there's the ratchet handle i,like to think about the ratchet strap as,having two halves,each half is on either side of the,windlass in this image the side on the,left the side with the ratchet handle,its job is to tighten the ratchet strap,the handle itself functions like a lever,you ratchet and ratchet and ratchet and,you make the windlass tighter,the way that happens is the pawl that's,attached to the ratchet handle,digs into the teeth of the windlass and,each time you close it,it grabs new teeth each time you open it,it pulls those teeth,so that the webbing becomes tighter the,other half of the ratchet strap in this,image the half on the right side,also has a pawl and that pawl digs into,the teeth,and holds them in place so that the,ratchet strap can't unravel or become,looser,basically the side with the ratchet,handle is primarily for tightening,and the other side is primarily for,holding each crank you make on the,ratchet handle,mak

hey there,my name is strauss and i'm an,implementation specialist here at rebuy,and today i'm going to show you our new,smart cart feature,it is currently disabled on this site so,the add to cart flow is product page add,to cart cart page and checkout so,there's a ton of clicks and friction,between adding the cart and actually,going to our checkout so,we built our smart cart as a cart drawer,to just make a ton of things,easier if you want to see what this,looks like,sign into rebuy through your shopify,admin and,go to the smart cart tab here on the,left,it will tell you some facts about the,smart car here but for this video i'm,just going to,enable our smart cart when you enable,this,it will be set to preview mode by,default,so it will not show for your customers,um,when you enable the smart cart it,doesn't make any changes to your theme,which is nice you don't have to have,any coding knowledge um to use the smart,cart,and it presents you with several,different options so we can do,announcement bars,to spend fifty dollars to free gift we,could say,use code save ten,at checkout,for ten percent off,and many many more things we have a free,shipping bar to try and push customers,over that threshold so you can have a,higher order,value if you have several different,presentment currencies,on your store or different free shipping,thresholds,you can enable those things so that,different people throughout the world,have to pay,a different amount to earn that free,shipping if you,do free shipping on any subscription,product um you can also toggle that as,well and it will make sure that that bar,fills and qualifies for that customer,you have full power over all of the,language in the smart cart from the,title of the cart,the free shipping or the free gift,language um,you have power over what your switch to,subscription button says,if you are a recharge user and,if the customer has a one-time product,in their cart that has a subscription,variant,you can turn this on and it will,actually ask them to upgrade and save,if they'd like as well as choose the,intervals at what,those products send out and then from,here you can add additional,cross-selling widgets,um i can go ahead and enable this and,then show you guys how to add a widget,to the smart cart,um here's an example of an empty cart in,that language,your subtotal item count,and many many other options by default,we disabled the cart page so if the,customer somehow gets to the cart page,on your store,here we will automatically redirect them,back to the home page and open up the,smart cart,you can turn this off if you'd like you,can add a view cart button to go to that,cart page continue shopping buttons and,notes buttons you can do payment,installments if you use after pay,all of this is just toggle on and,easily manageable the only bit of code,you may need to know depending on your,theme and we're happy to help you set,this up,is just changing the item count,selectors,by default most themes use this but w
