Swatch Day-Date / The Entry Level Swiss Watch

Swatch Day-Date / The Entry Level Swiss Watch

hi guys and gals this is anthony AKA,marquis Malaspina with another watch, review i want to bring you guys, something that's much more affordable, than what i usually show i understand, that most people aren't in the market, for a Rolex or you know some other,high-end luxury watch and that you know, majority the videos that i show or not, exactly what most people out there can, afford and or looking to wear and you, know have no fear,i think there are plenty of other decent, watches you can get for significantly, less money and the watch you're looking,at right now i think is a very good, choice for people on a limited budget, you know i think the average person that,I've talked to tend to wash is is,usually looking to spend about 100 bucks, and this one was 70 and I just picked it,up and you know what in terms of a,timekeeping device you know what I don't,know how you could do any better,it's quartz which personally I'm not a,huge fan of to me quartz has come to the, automotive equivalent of an automatic, transmission if you're in the cars you, should be driving a stick shift likewise,if you're in the watches you should be,having a launch with an automatic or,manual winding movement but you know in,terms of accuracy and cost Quartz's,definitely Trump's in those areas, menuhin automatic line watches cost a,lot more money to purchase generally and,a lot more money to service so anyway, again this watch was 70 bucks and you, know most people are looking at some, hundred bucks on a watch they're gonna,be picking up you know something that's,if you're lucky has a Japanese motive,Japanese like neo2 type movement in it,and you know this Clark should quite a,few watches runner bucks that have these, like where does it nut Shang bang Seagal,or other like Chinese movements in them,so you're looking at an entirely Swiss, made watch for 70 bucks and not only, that if you're into your watches you'll,see this little seal right here which is,kind of hard to make out on camera but,it says ETA and if you're familiar with,ETA or watches in general, you know that they're kind of the dirty, little secret of the switch wallet of,the Swiss watch industry um that was in,the note no that money of the luxury, brands and so-called luxury brands are, nothing but a bunch of marketing hype, that their ecology and their watch, making history and craftsmanship is,basically a bunch of bulletin points on,a marketing sheet it's really not a,reality example ETA makes movements for,the majority of the Swiss watchmakers, and talk Boyer low-end Omega Baume &,Mercier Oris I mean I could go on for, years even some Invictus I mean, everybody it seems that's in the sub,$5,000 bracket of the Swiss watch, industry at some point or another is,used in ETA movement and there's,actually watches it cost significantly, more than $5,000 that use ETA movements, and so you're getting a watch that has a,movement in it that is also being put in,watches itself for several thousand, dollars in fact you know I won't take, this chance to go

How to Change Swatch Watch Straps Tutorial DIY at home

How to Change Swatch Watch Straps Tutorial DIY at home

Hello everyone! Today, I'll be showing you how  to change a Swatch watch strap. I borrowed this  ,10-year old Swatch from my friend. It was a  special edition from our school to celebrate  ,the 150 years. As you can see, these straps  are totally worn out. It's still working so  ,it's a shame that is just hiding in his watch  box. I borrowed it to give it a makeover! In  ,changing the straps, I'll be using these tools.  First off, you have to know what strap size to  ,get. The right way to measure a Swatch strap is  in between the lugs. For this particular watch,  ,the lug width is 17 millimeters. Don't confuse  it with the width of the strap here which is 19  ,millimeters. Remember, measure in between  the lugs. I got these silicon straps on  ,Shopee for 156 pesos, which is about $3. I'll  leave the link in the description below. Now,  ,let's get into it. Using the smooth end of the  spring bar tool, push the pin out carefully.,Using the pliers, gently pull the  pin out. Be careful not to pull  ,too hard or in the wrong angle or you  might just end up breaking the case.,Now do the same for the other side.,Now it's time to put the new strap in  make sure it's facing the right way.  ,Put the pin back into place and  push it gently all the way in.,Do the same for the other side. There you  go! Good as new! Let's put it on the wrist.,And here's a wrist roll.  ,Now let's put all these stuff out of the way.  Before I go, I also wanted to share that last  ,week I used some Polywatch to remove the scuffed  bits on the acrylic crystal. Here's what it looked  ,like before and here's what it looks like now. The  scuff marks are gone but the major scratches are  ,still there. I hope you liked this tutorial and if  you did give it a thumbs up. Thanks for watching!

KNITTING GAUGE for Total Beginners (and Troubleshooting Gauge)

KNITTING GAUGE for Total Beginners (and Troubleshooting Gauge)

If you want your knitting to fit properly, then you’ll have to get gauge.,What’s gauge?,I’m glad you asked.,We’ll talk all about gauge in this video.,You’ve probably heard knitters talk about gauge.,They might say something like, “Did you get gauge for this pattern?”,or “What’s the gauge on this yarn?”,or “Sure, you can use this yarn, as long as you get gauge.”,Gauge.,You’ve heard the word and maybe you kind of know what it is.,Sort of?,Maybe?,I hear you.,It’s complicated.,Before I really understood the concept of gauge, I would knit blindly.,I would pick a pattern that I really liked and I would choose exactly the same needles, and yarn that the pattern told me to get.,And I figured that should probably be okay, right?,And sometimes, the pattern actually did turn out okay.,I’d have a sweater that fit miraculously or a hat that fit, and I’d think, okay that’s,alright.,But sometimes my projects would be disastrous.,I’d have a sweater that was enormous, a hat that couldn’t fit me.,One time I knit mittens that were supposed to be for me, but they ended up being so tiny, that I gave them to my niece, who’s in preschool.,So how do we knit things that fit?,Well, we do it by getting gauge.,‘Cos if you don’t get gauge, then gauge is going to get you.,Yep, that’s a tweetable.,So, I’m going to bring in some friends to help me explain knitting gauge.,This is Bobby and this is Daisy.,Bobby and Daisy want to knit a sweater.,In fact, they’re knitting the same sweater, which is the Everyday Raglan.,This is a pattern put out by Sheep and Stitch.,So Bobby and Daisy are knitting the same pattern, in the same size, and they’re even using, the same yarn and the same knitting needles.,So under these conditions, do you think Daisy and Bobby will end up with identically-sized,sweaters?,Remember: their raw materials are the same; their pattern is the same; and the size they’re,knitting is also the same.,What do you think?,Is there another variable that could throw off the size of their knitted sweater?,If you said knitting tension, then you’re absolutely right.,High five!,Knitting tension is unique to each knitter.,It basically boils down to how tight or how loose you knit.,So, let’s say Bobby is a really tight knitter.,He’s a nervous, neurotic type, and he grips his yarn and needles really tightly.,Now, Daisy over here.,Let’s say she’s a really relaxed, hippie girl.,She loves dancing in the sun.,She’s a vegan.,She sings with her eyes closed, She’s a really loose knitter.,Because Daisy and Bobby knit at different tensions, their sweater probably won’t be,the same size even though they’re knitting the same pattern, the same size, and they’re,using the same materials.,Because Bobby is a tight knitter, his sweater will probably be smaller than Daisy’s.,Because Daisy is a loose knitter, her sweater will probably be bigger than Bobby’s.,And this will happen even if they’re using the same raw materials.,So imagine how hard this would be for a pattern designer.,How’s a pattern de

Knitting Help - Stellar Swatching

Knitting Help - Stellar Swatching

in this video we're going to talk about making great swatches, and how to get past some of,the tricky things you may encounter when you're knitting a swatch.,and before we get into it, i will talk for just a few seconds about the importance of,knitting swatches.,i've talked about this so many times before.,a swatch is a little bit of knitting that you do using the yarn and needles that you're,going to use for any given project.,so that you can measure the number of stitches that you're getting per inch.,and that's your tension.,and ultimately, you want your tension to match that in the pattern.,so that your finished item will end up being the correct size or the size that the pattern,,the sizes that the pattern lists out.,now it doesn't make much difference if you're not swatching for things like scarves and, shawls and blankets.,because if your item ends up being a bit bigger or a bit smaller than the pattern, scarves, and blankets are still useful even if they're a little bit of a different size.,but if you're knitting something that needs to fit like a sweater or a cap or gloves or,mittens or even a tea cozy.,you want your tension to be the same as the pattern so that your thing ends up being the, right size.,a sweater might have a pattern where the neckline is like this, and if your gauge is off, your, neckline could be like this.,and that's a problem.,and every time i talk about swatches, there is always somebody who speaks up and says,,oh i never bother with swatches!,my knitting always ends up just fine!,well, that person either doesn't knit that many things that need to fit, or they are,the luckiest person in the world.,because there is no standard for the tension in a pattern.,it's really just based on what the pattern designer has for their own personal gauge, tension.,so that's why swatches are important.,enough of that.,first, lets talk about swatches in the round versus flat swatching.,ultimately, if you're knitting something that's knit in the round, like in a tube, like a,top down seamless sweater, the most accurate swatch you can knit is going to be knit in,the round.,i personally don't notice any difference between my flat knitting and my knitting in the round,,so i don't really mess wtih this.,but you can test it out for yourself to see if there is a difference between your flat, knitting and your knitting in the round.,before i show you what i have here, if you're knitting a sweater, you can always start on,a small piece of the sweater.,like knitting teh sleeve, and have that be your swatch.,just measure your tension on that.,the reason people don't get excited abotu swatching in the round is because you have,to cast on so many more stitches, and your swatch uses more yarn and takes more time.,if you're knitting something small like a mitten or a hat, it's usually best just to,cast on that item.,because it's already kind of a small thing, and your swatch is essentially going to be,the same size.,let's go ahead and take a look at a so

HANDS-ON: All 11 missions of the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch

HANDS-ON: All 11 missions of the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch

to say that the announcement of the, swatch omega moon swatch was the debut,of the year would be an understatement,in fact you could argue it was the drop,of the last decade, wait lists and queues for watches are by,no means a foreign concept to collectors, but this idea is typically shrouded in,mystery to an extent,it's not something you can tangibly, understand or see, with the moon swatch there is a physical, and tangible understanding of just how, many people want one of these 11 watches, with massive actual queues amassing, worldwide on the 26th of march lines and, crowds forming late into the night hours, before the stores had even opened, and for good reason, this monumental and novel collaboration, has opened the doors to a broader, spectrum of collectors to own a price, accessible take on an iconic swiss, luxury design, bringing more and more people into the, collecting community we all hold so dear, the moon swatches are definitely rather, faithful recreations of the speedmaster, meticulously mimicking the case to the, point that we've even seen people, successfully affix actual speed master, bracelets to the moon swatch, even details such as the dot over 90,bezel have come into play, but at a more apparent level the 42,millimeter moon swatch case carries the, same wearing dimensions as the, speedmaster and utilizes the same crown, design pusher design and alpha hand, style we associate with the omega, moonwatch,in the spirit of democratization as well,as the sense of space exploration, the watch is outfitted on a velcro strap, that allows you to tailor fit the watch,to your wrist, but of course swatches put their playful, spin and dna into this collaboration, offering the proprietary bioceramic case, material in a wide spectrum of colors, for everyone to debate which is their, favorite, now at such an approachable price of 260,us dollars there are clear differences,to mention as well, the case 50 meters water resistant on a,speed master is a splash resistant 30,meters for the bioceramic moon swatch, the moon swatch is also quartz powered,in favor of being mechanically driven, and this has resulted in a shift for the, position of the chronograph registers, the elapsed minutes and hours higher up,on the dial, but enough tech talk now it's time to,have some fun and explore all the 11,color options on the table for this, collection, the mission to the sun is definitely for, those who want to brighten their day,it's bright sunbrush gold and white, accented colorway sure to bring joy to,whomever is wearing it,the mission to mercury in deep gray is a,bit more somber but nonetheless, incredibly versatile and aesthetic as a,result, the mission to venus exudes powdery pink, power and a softened aesthetic with oval,sub-dials,its color is sure to get noticed across, the room and is definitely a peacock, flex within this collection, the mission on earth celebrates our own, planet with two colors of the year in,recent era blue and green, and the green is not just your everyday, green it's a mint green that's

15 Tips for Swatching - How to Knit a Swatch/How to Measure a Swatch

15 Tips for Swatching - How to Knit a Swatch/How to Measure a Swatch

hey guys welcome to another topical, video today I'm gonna give you 15 tips, for swatching first off swatching is,when you make a little square or not so,little square of fabric that is using, the same yarn and needles for your, project and the reason we do this is,because you want to be able to match the, gauge of the pattern that you're,following so that the size that you make, matches the size that you're following, otherwise your project could end up way,too small or way too big I know a lot of,people really hates watching I'm not the, biggest fan of it but it is so so,essential that you really can't skip it,I know that's probably not what you, wanted to hear but it's true you can't,pass it up you have to do it so here are,my 15 tips for swatching number one make,a large swatch I know it makes it even, worse that you have to make a big swatch, because it's more time-consuming but you,got to do it so this is an example of a,big swatch so this swatch is a good 10,inches wide and a little over 7 inches, tall so ideally you want your swatch to,be between 6 and 8 inches square it can,be a little bit rectangular like this, one as long as it's long enough in both, directions so I know that sucks because, that means more time but it really gives, you a better quality swatch it's as if,you cut this out of your final project,it's better quality and it will give you,a more accurate swatch because it gives, you time to really get into the groove,of knitting in the same way that you, would for your final project number two,is very similar you don't want to cast,on the same number of stitches and work, the same number of rows that the gages,in the pattern you want to do more so if,your pattern says 24 stitches and 30,rows per 4 inches you need to cast on,more than 24 stitches because you want,to give yourself more room because the, edge stitches are usually a little, different they pull differently and they, don't give you an accurate reading so,you just want to kind of have extra, stitches on the edges, that you know are not going to be,accurate so you can get that solid at,least for probably closer to six inches,in the middle and that is why we say we,cast on for about six to eight inches, number three is to pay attention to what, your swatch is supposed to be whether,it's supposed to be knit flat or in the, round because that will change your, gauge if your pattern is knit in the, round like a top-down seamless sweater, your swatch needs to be knit in the, round if your project isn't flat then, your swatch shipping in flat now your, pattern should tell you which to do but,if it doesn't you just refer to what, kind of pattern it is if it's in the, round swatch in the round and unless, your pattern tells you not to sew an in,the round swatch will look something, like this with tails along the edge, because what you do is instead of,purling back you slide back to the, beginning of the round and knit across, every row you will not be purling unless, you're following a specific stitch, pattern so yo

How to Scale Patterns in Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

How to Scale Patterns in Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

so this is gonna be a really quick video, going over how you can increase the, scale of patterns in Photoshop so right, here is a pattern if you've ever tried,to resize patterns by just dragging the,box in increasing the size that way you, might have noticed that the actual, pattern itself the size of the pattern, itself maintains the same scale, regardless of how big or small you draw, the box so the fix for this is pretty, easy to do and by the way if you're not, familiar where to get patterns from in,Illustrator they're actually in the, swatches window so just very quickly to,go over that you go to window up to the,top menu and from window in the top menu, you go to swatches which is sort of near, the bottom it should be in alphabetical, order so you just want to make sure your, swatches window is open and selected in,order to get swatches and right here on,my screen this is my swatches window, that I'm moving around from the swatches, window there's a hamburger menu which, looks like four lines in the upper right, hand corner that if you click that it,opens up some different options and then, from those options you can go to open, swatch library and from open swatch, library which by the way there's tons of,color swatch libraries in here but if,you go to patterns there's basic, graphics so dots lines and textures, which I have opened up there's some, decorative patterns as well as some, nature based patterns so as soon as you, open one of these up like if I click on,the dots one it opens up this window, right here with some different dot, patterns so if I have this box, highlighted right here and I click on,one of these patterns it'll go ahead and, apply it but I'm go back to this texture, one here so we can show how to increase, this scale so right now this is super, small so to enlarge the pattern itself, all you have to do is click on the thing, that has the pattern inside of it and, then right click it and then go to,transform so once again just make sure, that you have the object selected that, has the pattern inside of it that you, want to increase right click it go to,transform and from the transform menu, you want to go to scale and here's the, scale dialog box that pops up you might, want to click on this little preview, button so you can see what you're doing,in real time but the important thing, here to increase the scale of the, pattern is under options you don't want,to scale strokes and effects so uncheck, that, box make sure scale corners is also, unchecked you want to uncheck transform, objects and you want to make sure, transform patterns is the only thing, checked because when you transform just, the patterns the scale those patterns, that's what you're going to increase and, then you have two options so I'm going,to move this over the side here so you,can see what happens in real time if I,put 200% in uniform and uniform means, both horizontally and vertically will be,transformed at the same time and then I,click in one of these other boxes you,can see it went ahead and applied

How To Add Swatch Images on Amazon | Amazon Product Variation Image 2022

How To Add Swatch Images on Amazon | Amazon Product Variation Image 2022

Hello, my name is Asif Saraj, and I provide  my services as an Amazon Seller specialist and  flat-file expert., You must have seen that there  are Amazon listings that you might also refer to  ,as parent-child listings. Now that you have a  product with several sizes and different types  ,of material, Amazon gives you the opportunity  to combine all of those items into a single  ,Parent listing. This option is known as Variation  Listing. Here, you can see that there is a colour  ,variation, meaning that the color of this product  is different and it has all these features,  ,unlike on your product detail page, where you  see all the different listings on top of a single  ,product detail page. Variation Listing refers to  the showing of different colours on the same page,  ,but you must have seen that when you add  colours to Amazon Variation, it shows above  ,the other variation listings in the list. The  image is displaying on top of the colours,  ,as seen here on the right side of the image, where  the variation, or change in colour, is getting  ,the image in the product while you are now on the  left side. Looking at this image, you can see that  ,it contains more than just colours, and that the  colours are being shown in a square image format.  ,You created your unique colour image, which  is what it is called. Today I'll explain how  ,to change the above variations, upload, and make  things so that your listing does not match this.  ,I have a great appearance to make the picture  look polished. If you're new to our channel,  ,please subscribe. If you enjoy the video, please  share it. Now, let's go on. The remaining items on  ,the screen are how I'll demonstrate how to change  this representation of your product. Friends, at  ,this point we have reached the top of the screen.  Let's travel to the top of the screen to learn the  ,rest of the screen, where I explained how to  upload clear images for your variant, let me  ,first quickly give you two examples of how others  have uploaded images to Amazon. After that, I'll  ,also explain how to take an image and change it  from one version to another. It's a really simple  ,process, and I'll also demonstrate where and how  to upload it, so that after sending your product  ,specifications, you may upload the small version  of your I image. Friends, let's get started. You  ,are currently seeing the product detail page,  where there is only a colour image. This is  ,a good product that is also an Amazon's Choice and  has excellent ratings. It includes size and colour  ,variations, but you can see that this time I am  black, then I am image A, then I went to direct,  ,then I went to image A, and then I went to  the top of the variation listings. Typically,  ,I am the image just because we are  unsure of how to add colour where  ,it belongs and how they are like this. I am  also the image for a very good product with  ,5340 positive ratings and an Amazon choice,  as you can see. as I hover my mouse

I Bought The Swatch & Omega MoonSwatch So You Don't Have To!

I Bought The Swatch & Omega MoonSwatch So You Don't Have To!

i didn't buy this at retail but i also, don't regret, hello welcome to swiss watch can where,we usually talk about watches which are, more rare especially when we cover some, hidden independent watchmakers today we,will do the polar opposite we will talk, about the omega and swatch collaboration, that flooded social media on march 24th,this year,in this video you will hear my thoughts,on the watches where and for how much i,bought them and also why i think it's a,good idea for this to have happened for, both brands, when the amiga and swatch watches were, released i happened to be on the zurich, band of strasse with my friend daniel we,were on the way to check out some cool, watches at the other retailer we saw the, line of people earning the morning and,it was already shocking to me i've seen, some videos on my instagram feed when i,woke up from asia and australia but it's,different when you see it happen in your, town we ran into two collectors who, showed us which models they bought and, that was my first physical encounter, with the watches they told us that they, went to stand in line at around 2 or 3,am in the morning straight after, partying, even with that type of commitment they, weren't the only ones at the scene at,the time but sooner than the rest the, watchers didn't impress me at first, since i don't even own an amiga, speedmaster that's why i didn't have a,personal connection with a model yet,it was a huge media boom and right after, the launch we attended watches and, wonders the amount of chatter about the, collaboration was in my eyes, unprecedented and overshadowed a lot of,launches that week i think this was a,great strategic move by amiga and swatch, and probably took a lot of sales from, other brands away especially at that, price point the online prices for these, watches in the first weeks were, outrageous some models fetched thousands,of dollars on chrome 24. i remember, checking ricardo.ch and one day after, the launch there were more than 100,listings for prices which i couldn't,believe after a while the dust settled, and i started looking into the watches, and discovering the models watching, youtube videos and reading a few, articles about them after all was said, and done i wanted to buy a few for, myself, after trying a few times the swatch put,it here in zurich and also at the zurich, airport just by casually walking i gave,up on buying them from the stores even, today months after the release there are, still people waiting outside the, boutique and hoping to get on a location, especially on the weekends i calculated, that it didn't make sense to wait rather, let's buy them online i was willing to,go big higher for certain models than, others so i started my search currently,i own a total of four different models, two that i bought from friends and two, that i bought online in switzerland the, retail price as you know is 250 swiss, francs so i said okay if i pay 100 to,200 francs more that's completely fine,so i did i bought the pluto for which i,paid 350 i paid 450
