hi guys so today i wanted to record,another app review uh today it's gonna,be shopify inbox which is an app that,allows you to chat directly with your,customers,uh while they're making purchases and,browsing around your store and so this,app is helpful for a few reasons the,first,generally the people that are going to,reach out and chat with you are are,pretty likely to end up making a,purchase so if you're selling high,ticket items it it's definitely going to,be worthwhile to have someone uh there,to walk them through the purchase,sometimes customers the only thing,that's preventing them from making,purchase is they don't know what size to,get or they don't know what flavor to,buy or whatever,and this is going to make it so you can,make personalized recommendations to,them and then finally just by virtue of,chatting with your customers you're,going to get a better feel for,what type of customer is on your store,what they're buying etc and so you can,see here shopify boasts that 70 of,shopify inbox conversations lead to,customers making a purchase decision and,the other thing that about this app that,i haven't mentioned yet is it's,completely free and it's done by shopify,themselves and in my opinion the quality,on this app is pretty high so i'm gonna,go ahead and add this app to my test,store so after i've added this app to my,test store the first thing that you'll,notice is it's not an app it's actually,a sales channel,but for all intents purposes it,functions like an app um so you're just,going to go down here into your sales,channels and it's going to be here this,inbox so the first thing you'll probably,notice once you're in this inbox sales,channel is that right now the chats,store visibility is set to not be,visible so you want to go down here to,fix this into appearance and click,customize,and you're going to want to go ahead you,know choose between the the little,text bubble icon and the chat with us uh,text,choose your position that you want it to,be on your site and the color that's not,gonna clash terribly with your theme you,can go ahead and customize the welcome,text as well i'm just gonna leave it,like this for now but this is gonna show,up right here,and you can preview any of the different,um,any of the different states of the chat,window uh in this tab here i'm gonna go,ahead and set this to visible for now,and that way you guys will be able to,see what it looks like on my test site,okay so here we are on my test site and,you can see that down here in this,bottom right corner i have this chat,with us bubble here and when i click on,that um it's going to give me that,welcome text that we entered earlier and,so it's going to allow me to message the,business,and then it's also going to have a few,different options that you can click,from right now all we have is this,update on your customer's order status,so this is great if you don't already,have an automated method where your,customers can see the status of their,order but we're

hi in today's tutorial i would like to,show you how to install shopify inbox,and those that do not know shop for,inbox is a,single mailbox for all your customer,interactions basically think of it as a,chat,customers who visit your store,if they have a question they can simply,click on a widget on the home on the,home page,and they will be able to uh initiate the,chat conversation instead of actually,calling your store or sending you a,contact form,and first of all i'll show you how to,install this shopify inbox,uh you have to be logged into your admin,panel and once,you're here just look for sales channels,and click on this plus sign,and look for shopify inbox,and then click on click on the,green plus,it should install a moment,yes authenticate,it should be done,okay perfect,so uh,shop for inbox has been installed now we,have to essentially enable it on the,on the website so for that purpose go to,overview and look for appearance and,click on customize,in here online store chat visibility,make sure to click on,visible and,click save,then you can go to the home page of your,website and simply refresh,and here we are this is the chat this is,what the shopify,inbox looks like as you can see there's,still an existing conversation simply,because before i record this video i was,testing it out that's why,you see it but in general all your,customers who visit your store they'll,be greeted with this,uh small icon and and one in there in,the red in the right or left corners it,depends where you position it and they,would have to essentially open it up,type in their name last name email and,the message and the a question they have,and you as a store owner you can,communicate with your customers and,receive the messages by going to the,inbox,overview and view your messages,and all the conversations,uh which customers submit will show up,here,and i have a few in fact,we can,send one say like hello,hi and if we go to,admin panel,view messages,it should show up here here we go,think of it as a customer just said hi,i'm and like click,hello,and yeah customers customer would see my,response so this is very straightforward,um,there are a few more things i want to,mention,you can customize the actual appearance,of the chat widget,uh if you go to the inbox appearances,section you can change the greeting,message the type of brand customization,for example the more minimized version,or chat with us,icon it's your choice you can position,different um,whether in the right corner or left,corner of your screen,and they change the actual color let's,say let's make it green this time and,once you're ready just click save,and,that's pretty much it with regards to,appearances and also you might want to,add your own automated messages by going,to manage,and simply,create the follow-up message in case if,you are not available,or,also you can create the schedule when,you're not available so that if customer,messages you during the time when you're,not managing your store you ca

hey guys,christian here and today i'm going to,share with you how to set up shopify,chat in your store and i'm going to show,you how to quickly share messages and,discounts via chat,let's get started let's get started,all right the first thing that we want,to do here is go to shopify store,go to apps,we're going to add an app and then in,here we want to search for shopify,checked,it's probably going to be the first one,because it looks like this says shopify,chat by shopify it's absolutely free,click on that,add,give you a bunch of stuff,add sales channel so this is a little,bit different than your typical app it's,actually going to show up underneath,your sales channels so you'll see that,once it loads over here,it will be right underneath for me it's,going to be underneath facebook but it's,going to show you the appearance and,faqs typically apps show up under the,apps tab right here but for this one,it's different all right,so the first thing that we want to do,here is obviously it's gonna give you,this message that says shopify ping is,required so we're gonna go to shopify,ping.com it's gonna open up a new tab,and we're gonna hit log in with shop,five,here we're gonna click on that one,we're gonna do a little bits treat,so we already did that step i'm gonna,close that tab,all right,now that we have that set up i'm gonna,go back over here i'm gonna refresh this,page,all right so now that it recognizes that,we've actually logged in through shopify,ping,then we can actually change the,appearance here so the appearance it's,going to be pretty simple basic features,you can change the button style so you,can click on this one chat with us or,your most typical chat bubble with the,circle you can click on the position you,want it on the left or the right of your,of your website and then this will give,you a little preview on how that will,look,and at the very bottom here you have the,button color we absolutely highly,recommend that you change the color to,match your brand's color so you can do,that by putting in the hex code color or,come into something pretty close and,similar right over here i'm gonna,actually leave it black i like that,and then the last thing is the welcome,message again you can leave this default,one but we highly recommend that you,just insert a little bit of your brand's,tone of voice um and,pizzazz in there right flash pizzazz so,hello let's just do for us,bark,right because we're a dog company,let us know if you have a specific,question or give an idea of what you're,looking for we have to make,recommendations i love that we're going,to click save,there we go now i want to test this,experience so we're going to click right,here text,experience and this will show us how,this actually looks so if you see right,here on the right hand side you see a,little bit streets it says park uh let,us know if you have specific questions,you can actually add emojis in there,that'd be kind of cool so message us i,can say something like hello

i have four multi-million dollar,e-commerce stores and here are my,must-have shopify apps right now,hi i'm greta and earlier in the year i,made a video for you guys which you,really liked about the top seven shopify,apps you should be using for your store,so today i have an updated version of,that video with five more that we have,started using since then okay so number,one is after sell and you guys are gonna,love this because it's a way to be able,to sell,more product and increase your average,order value without doing anything else,so after sell is a post purchase upsell,app basically,how it looks is after the customer,purchases your product there'll be a,pop-up that says like you've unlocked a,30 discount or you've unlocked 50 off,this product or double your order for,half the cost and then have either the,product that they just purchased if,you're like a single product store or,have a complimentary product that they,might be interested in as well if we,were talking about skinny me tea,they might have bought the 14 day teatox,and we could say upgrade now to a 28 day,at half the price sort of thing so just,a really great way to be able to add,more revenue to every sale without,having to acquire a new customer so,number two is life timely which is a,profit and lifetime value tracking app,that may not sound that exciting but in,e-commerce you need to be really really,on top of these metrics especially now,with ad costs increasing you need to,know,constantly whether you're profitable or,not like,instead of looking just at your shopify,dashboard and saying oh great we made,you know ten thousand dollars in a day,that's amazing you might have actually,lost two thousand dollars in that day,because your acquisition costs might,have been twelve thousand dollars to,acquire ten thousand dollars worth of,revenue for example so,what you want to do is constantly be,checking your profit and also your,lifetime value so if you can look into,the lifetime value of your customers or,how much they spend on your store over,the space of you know the lifetime of,your relationship with them i guess is,the easiest way to put that so for,skinny me tea um,wear a cpg product or consumer package,good product which has a higher lifetime,value than say a weighted blanket for,example like they're not necessarily,going to come back and buy a way to,blanket all the time because they've,already got their other one but yeah for,skinny meat tea our lifetime value is,pretty high generally,30 percent plus so 30 of our customers,will repurchase again so what we can do,is when we're thinking about the cost to,acquire a customer even if on their,first order it's not quite as profitable,like it's just above break even we know,that 30 percent of those customers will,very buy again so we can kind of bake,that into our customer acquisition costs,and then we can be more aware of the,cost per acquisition across the funnel,and how we can profitably increase that,so i would recommend getting a
