to learn a little bit more about odoo,um,my name is Colin Kate I'm a direct sales,team leader in the odoo Buffalo office,the pads here if you would like to ask,any questions,I'll leave it up for a few seconds,so the agenda that I'm going to go,through for this talk today we're going,to start by learning a little bit about,the odoo 16 features,I'm also going to get into a new,integration that we have,and then the setup of that integration,as well as a short demo and a conclusion,so I think everybody's wanting to know,what's new with OD 16 shipping,connectors,well for starters the first thing that,we have is electronic transfer of,Customs info so we now have this for,sync cloud that's a little sneak peek we,also have it for ups and DHL as well,in v15 or od15 we came out with FedEx,and easy post Customs info so you you,could transfer that electronically for,those carriers and now we've added three,more with ODU 16.,the next thing that we have added with,our,od16 release,is zip prefixes this is going to replace,the zip codes so you no longer have to,write an entire zip code you can,actually just write the zip prefix and,what I mean by that,is if you have a zip code in the first,digit or character is the letter or the,the number one you can actually just,enter the number one and you can filter,all zip codes,that include the number one and you can,do this with multiple carriers as well,if you wanted to filter down to a,specific zip code and that's going to be,set,on the shipping method,next we've also included Insurance on,all,shipping methods so,you're able to actually set an insurance,percentage on that method and that will,allow you to,ensure up to that percent of the,shipment so for example you could set,fifty percent uh insurance insure 50 of,the shipment of the value of the,shipment or you could even Ensure,more than a hundred percent of the,shipment so if you wanted to ensure,additional costs outside of the value of,the shipment for example uh maybe lost,Revenue if the package didn't get,delivered or something like that you're,able to do that with the insurance,percentage,next we've also included on-site pickups,so this will actually allow your,customers to come into your retail store,or into your warehouse and allow them to,actually pick up the order,directly on site and this is just,another value add so that your customers,have another option,especially if they're local to collect,their order,lastly we've also included an e-commerce,pickup from FedEx so basically what that,means is FedEx has different pickup,locations,and you can actually ship your package,to that location to pick up rather than,to your address,this obviously will help people protect,their packages if they order something,and they're not home at the time or,maybe it's a expensive item and they,don't want it to leave,leave it on a loading dock after hours,or,leave it at a doorstep this allows your,customer to protect their package and,then pick up at their desired location,and

Let's do this.,We all know shipping internationally can be a bit of a daunting task,,but with the right information,,it can actually become such a breeze.,So in this video,,I'll be sharing a few things with you that you need to consider before shipping internationally to make sure that your,packages arrive safely and on time.,So are you ready?,This video covers the most common struggles we see when it comes to international shipping.,We'll cover the pros and cons of different shipping methods,,how to make custom documents as easy as possible,and how to process international orders automatically.,And guess what?,It doesn't need to be a pain in the ass.,I mean,,I know it sounds like a bit of a struggle,and sometimes like a bottleneck for growth.,But let's dive into the opportunities rather than focusing on the issues.,How about that?,Why just use one carrier or one shipping method?,Did you know that 71% of European shoppers actually wants flexible delivery options,and do have a preference,,when it comes to their carrier?,You have few options:,you can ship with international carriers or postal carriers.,Postal services are normally connected to international localised partners.,They are normally cheaper and more trusted by customers.,However,,there's less control.,You don't really have a lot of visibility when it comes to the overall tracking,and it takes a little bit longer.,International carriers on the other hand,,have their own international networks,,like UPS and DHL.,They're great because they offer faster delivery and more shipping methods.,The only downside,,or a little bit of a downside,,is they tend to be a little bit more expensive.,But also did you know that you can actually combine those two options,to offer your customers more choices and a lot of flexibility.,Think about it, if things do go wrong or fucked up,,you always have a Plan B.,You can combine both international and postal carriers in one shipping software.,Now it comes to the biggest hustle,,when it comes to shipping internationally.,Guess? Custom forms!,When you're shipping to another customer union,,it's good to know there are certain documents that are required.,Always remember you're going to need commercial invoice,,and you're actually gonna need three prints.,One for the country you're shipping from.,One for the country you're shipping to.,And one for the recipient.,In case you're shipping with a postal carrier like,PostNL, USPS, Royal Mail or any others,instead of having a commercial invoice,,you're actually going to need a CN22 or CN23,obviously accompanied by a CP71 dispatch note.,But when do we use what form, right?,This depends on two things.,The weight and the value of your package.,So for example,,if your package weighs two kilogrammes and has a value of €425,you will need the CN22.,If your package weighs over two kilogrammes and has a value of €425 or more,,you'll actually need the CN23. Welcome to Sendcloud! In this video we will give  you a full walkthrough of what you need to set  ,up in order to use our smart shipping solution  with our Small Shop plan. If you haven't already,  ,create a free account on sendcloud.com.  After this, you'll see your Sendcloud panel.,On the top right click on the little gear icon to  enter the settings and head over to addresses. Add  ,your shipping return pick up and invoice addresses  here these will be important later so that you can  ,use all of our features. After this, navigate to  Finances and set up your direct debit contract so  ,you unlock label creation. On this page, you can  also find all of your past invoices for reference.,Still in the settings menu, go to "Carriers  & Pricing" and select the carriers you wish  ,to use - simply click on activate. To unlock  more features in your Sendcloud account, you  ,can start a subscription plan test our Small Shop  subscription with a free 14-day trial with just  ,one simple click. Next, we recommend integrating  your online shop to import orders directly into  ,Sendcloud.
