How to Write a Blog Post From Start to Finish | Neil Patel
Have you ever read anyone
on my blog post and found,,Hey! They all follow a similar format.,And you know what, it's
not out of coincidence,,it's for a reason.,Because that formula
helps me generate at least,37,000 visitors per blog post.,Do you wanna know that formula on,how I write the perfect blog post?,Hi everyone, I'm Neil Patel,,and today I'm gonna share with you,,how to write a blog post
from start to finish.,(light upbeat music),Now before we get started,
I just wanna ask you guys,to subscribe to this channel.,That way we're in at least
more marking tips like this,,you'll get notified.,Now, I have a question for you:,How many of you have
written a blog post before?,If you have, leave a comment with "yes".,If you haven't, leave a comment with "no".,Because you know what,
whether you have written a,blog post before or you haven't,,and I'm still curious in
how many of you written one,,I'm gonna share with
you the perfect formula, that I follow for my own blog.,It works for a B2C ,B2B,
a personal blog or a,corporate blog, it works for everything.,I kid you not, it is the
best formula out there.,First tip: Start off with a title.,Don't just start writing a blog post,,unless you have the exact title,,do not write your blog post.,Eight out of ten people
will read your headline,,but only two out of ten will click through,or read the rest of your article.,Doesn't matter how amazing
of a blog post you write,,if you don't write a good headline,,no one's gonna read the rest of your post.,All comes down to your headline or title,,or whatever you wanna call it.,If you need some creativity,,go to a grocery store
and check out a magazine.,When you go to a grocery store
when you're checking out,,you see all these magazines!,They have amazing titles
with How To, Livspace,,articles like "Lose weight in 30 days",,"How to shed five pounds fast!",Doesn't matter what kind
of magazine they are,,whether it's a business magazine or,whether it's a fitness magazine,,or a gossip magazine, they
all use catchy titles.,And that's what you need
to do with your blog post.,And look for magazine for inspiration.,I stick with the basics.,I use How To a lot, I use Livspace posts,,those two things have
worked wonders for me,,and they haven't got old.,So start with the title.,And you don't have to just
create one variation of it.,You can create two or three variations,,and that's what I do and I ask people, hey, what do you like,,I'll ask a few friends,,then I pick the best one
and that's what I go with.,The second step that
you need to follow when,it comes to writing a blog
post is the introduction.,In your introduction,,you need to hook people
with a bold statement.,For example, I know this is a video,,but I hooked you by saying,"Hey do you want the formula
that breaks down how I get,at least 37,000 visitors per blog post".,By hooking people in,
they're gonna read the rest.,And with your introduction,,it's not just talking, hooking people in.,It's also about talking
about what's

Making a "Related Posts" Section on your Blog using the Query Loop Block
Making a "Related Posts" Section on your Blog using the Query Loop Block
all right in this video let me show you,how to add a nice, line of other articles on your website, that you can place anywhere,in a blog post or page on your website, using wordpress's new query loop block,so here i am inside of a blog post and, let's say i just want to add it to the, very, end i could add it anywhere really i,just hit enter and add a block, there which we'll undo but i'm going to,go ahead and add it to the end,now this block is called query loop, and you know i don't this is just, showing me this diff this format here, but let me look at the different formats,in grid view,i actually kind of like this one uh what, this is going to give me,is you can see obviously the headline on,the top,the image followed by some text etc,the excerpt text but there are lots of,different formats available to me if i,keep scrolling,i can have some without the featured, image i can have some where the image is,presumably behind the text i can do this, offset one,etc so let's go back to this one,now this is what it looks like with only, one image there but,i actually can switch it to grid view,i can have three images per page, over here on the right i can change the, number of columns so i can have, you know two columns uh let's decrease, that to two so it pushes it down, makes a little bigger i could have four, columns and just shrink everything down,a little bit, here i can choose the order newest to,oldest, let's go in whoops to this grid view and, then here i can choose an offset so,notice that it's showing me my latest, blog posts, right now all of them but the most, recent one is the article i'm already,in so let's choose an offset of one and,it's going to,skip to the very next article after that,so that i don't just have a repeat of,the article that we're already in,here do i want to include or exclude, sticky posts post that i've selected is,sticky,i've got colors i can change the text, color the background color if i want to,to make it stand out a little bit more i,can come down here,to the filters this is one that i really, like, let's say that i want to just show blog, posts that are in the same category,as the this uh this article that people, are reading right now,so i do that um i could also though make,it just so that it's a specific author,or articles that contain a specific, keyword or tag, pretty neat here now you might think, that we're done, but now i can actually click inside now,i'm here to the, title piece of it so do i want the title,to be a link i actually, don't because i don't like how it looks, now i could just make the text color, black, but as a link it's automatically wanting,to to,change the styling so i i'm going to,make it so that the headline is in the, link, but the image,is a link as well as there's the read, more text below, notice how here in the excerpt it says, add read more link text, well i can choose what i want that to be,it can just be,read more and so now that's what the, text is going to be,by clicking here on the date i can, choose you know what date

How to Display Related Posts on your WordPress Blog
How to Display Related Posts on your WordPress Blog
so in this week's video I'm going to,show you how to use the related post, plugin for WordPress so you it's,something like this where you've seen on,a number of different blogs where you, come to the bottom of a blog post and,you see that they suggest some other, articles that you might be interested in,and there's number of plugins that do,this but I'm gonna take a look at two, that I think are the two best ones out, there to add to your website so the, first one that we're gonna look at is,called yet another related post plug-in,and this plugin has been around for, about three years it's pretty popular, and so this is what I'm using here so,this is what it looks like in the, backend once you install it you look for, plugins in add new and search for yet, another related post plug-in and it gets, the menu for the settings is under, settings and Europe and so once you, click on the settings you'll see this, page and you can edit the plug-in to,maybe exclude some categories so by,default what it's looking for is just, posts in the same category but you could, also add things to look at such as the, title maybe you look at content in the, body and that will affect the related, posts that it shows and it also lets you, change the display if you want to,display it as a list right now I have it,as thumbnails and you can change the, title let's say if you want to change it,from our belated posts to similar, articles or something like that and yeah,so it's really basic this plug-in is,kind of really simple to use and it,works pretty well, some things I don't like about it is,that these thumbnails are always gonna,be 150 pixels so it's I find it a little, bit small for my website because I have, rather large featured images and these, thumbnails aren't looking so good so and,I did notice that there's really one, good feature that I like a lot about, this plugin that I haven't seen on other, ones is that you can, limit the length or the you limit the, history so if you want to only show post, from the last year because sometimes, post get outdated you can limit that, here and also once I click on this allow, display in archives it also displays a,related post on the home page and not, just this not just this post page and, yeah so that's all for yet another, related post plug-in and the second,plug-in that I wanted to look at is,called the WordPress related posts,plug-in and this is by a company called,Yamata and it's also really popular, plugin it's been I gets really good, reviews and it's been around for also, about three years and so let me just, activate that plugin in my back-end so,let me disable that and search for my,other plug-in okay activate that okay, and once this is activated it adds this, menu item on the side here for called, related posts and what's really cool, about this plug-in has actually stats so,you can see if this is actually working, for your website if people are actually, clicking on these related posts it you,can change how many posts that you want,to show and it has a lot

389 blog posts make me $207k per month... copy my exact structure
so you want to make the most money with, your blog how do you structure your, content and link everything together to,rank for more keywords and make google, happy i mean we can all write articles,we can all look at reports and on-page,seo tools but what about the hidden, ranking factors what about other related, articles and information and how do you, link all of that together in the best, possible way to prop up our content and, improve our rankings well in this video,i'm going to cover exactly how to,structure your content so everything, from creating content silos to,internally linking stuff together to how, deep you need to go in each topic area,so that you can rank for more keywords, and make more money but before we get, started i want to invite you to watch my,free master class on how to start a,profitable blogging business it goes, over exactly what blogging is in the,2020s how i make over 300 000 a month, with my blog so make sure to click the, link in the description sign up for that, and let's get into the topic for today,so first we have to think about the, importance of content structure so when,we think about a blog we have a,collection of articles on a website but,how do those work together how do they, link together how do we create buckets, and silos of content and how do we make, this you know how do we do sub niches, how do we test different areas of,content how do we link it together all,of these things work together so when i,think about the importance of content, structure there's some main ranking, factors to rank on google there's your,on-page seo so that's like what's,actually on the article what words are,on there how is it formatted and, headings and all of that i have videos,on that so what's on the page what's on,the post then we can talk about links so,that's like the authority the domain, authority of the entire site the page, authority of the individual article how, many links are pointing to it but then, there's this third interesting ranking, factor and i know there's,hundreds of ranking factors but these, are the top three that i usually think,of number three is this depth of content,so that's things like site structure and,the supporting and informational, articles in your niche so you have one, article and it has great on-page seo, what if it's just living on its own, there's nothing linking to it there's no,supporting articles well that's a,problem as well so we need to solve that,a blog post to me is like one chapter in,a book so it could be a very good, chapter in a book but if it's just one, chapter and it's the only piece of,information you have on that topic then,it's not very trustworthy in google's,eyes they want to see a full picture a,full book tons of supporting content and, informational content so we need to,think of it that way just a blog post by,itself is not a complete picture so it's,like a chapter in a book so here's how,you make the most money with your, content really you have to think about, what posts make us the most money
