hi folks in this video i'm going to talk,about,how to manage your e-commerce,transactions in quickbooks,and i'm specifically going to show you,how to do that with an,app called cinder sy ndr.com,and the reason why you're gonna need to,use a third-party app,like cinder especially when you have,multiple channels amazon shopify,etsy ebay paypal square,stripe whatever you have you want that,information to come,in a uniform fashion into quickbooks,if you don't use an app like cinder,you're going to have transactions,integrated into quickbooks in all,different funky ways,and it's going to be nearly impossible,to reconcile,after you download those transactions so,in order to have,the data in a uniform way so you can,reconcile in the future and have,a tight set of books you want to use,cinder,trust me about that now i'm going to,click here under the integrations button,so you can see all the channels that,center the cinder integrates with,we have shopify amazon ebay,woocommerce bigcommerce walmart home,depot best buy,etc so if you are selling through any of,these channels,you can use cinder to aggregate all the,data in there,also if you're selling through other,channels not listed here,but they're using payment processors,like stripe,square paypal and others you can also,integrate that data one really cool,thing about,cinder is there's the ability to,integrate your excel data,so if your channel is not listed here,but you happen to be able to export,a spreadsheet worth the transactions you,can import and,import them through cinder and have one,unique place,where all the transactions are all right,so i'm gonna go,into quickbooks online and show you how,you can add,the sim their app into your quickbooks,online,accounting software so once you log into,quickbooks online you're gonna click on,apps,on the left hand side and you're going,to search cinder syndr,once you find cinder in there you're,going to click on where it says get,app now and then it's going to take you,through the authorization process,for you to connect the app then you're,going to click on connect,and then you will see your cinder app,open up and then i already have an,account set up,but in your setting when you do that,it's going to ask you for a whole bunch,of information,that you need to walk through while the,account is set up but after you set up,the account,and your quickbooks online is connected,now it's going to be time to connect,your channels so i'm going to click here,where it says add payment platform,and i'm going to click on the drop down,menu and then i'm going to click on,paypal,and then i'm going to click on connect,then i'm going to login into paypal,click on login,and grant permission perfect i,successfully connected,my paypal account into cinder let me add,another platform here i'm going to click,on add payment platform,click on the drop down menu and now i'm,going to select shopify,click on connect,and once you log into shopify you'll be,able to just click on install app

hello and welcome to cinder in this,video you will learn how to connect,amazon and its payment gateways to your,accounting for quick reconciliation,automatic data sync and detailed,reporting in the first part of the video,we will go through the connection steps,on the example of quickbooks online,integration and the second part will,cover the general flow of the system,what results you can expect in your,books after the sync and how to set,things up according to your specific,accounting flow,once you sign up to sender tell us about,yourself specify a role in the company,and contact details,now it's time to set up your first,organization you can connect one,accounting platform within one,organization so if you have multiple,clients or businesses create more,organizations later check out our,knowledge base to learn more about,organizations,on the next step you are to select the,accounting system,let's say quickbooks online,amazon as a sales channel,and all of your payment gateways you,charge your clients through,note that amazon pay connects,automatically with your amazon,only having all the platforms connected,cinder will be able to properly,synchronize data to your accounting,click view all processors to see all of,the platforms cinder integrates with and,check the needed boxes,now let's connect all platforms we chose,on the previous step for quickbooks,click connect,enter credentials if requested and,select the needed company from the list,if you have several,you will proceed to connecting amazon,click authorize sender,authorize new developer in your amazon,apps by clicking next,and check all the boxes on the next,screen,now copy the mws authorization token,and paste it into the needed field on,the sender page,do the same for seller id,make sure the location of your amazon,store is provided correctly in case of,any connection issues check out,connection guide here,if you're not an account owner you can,invite the admin to enter valid,credentials and finish the connection,for you by clicking this invite button,if you are the admin click connect,a clearing account for storing all of,the transactions from amazon will be,automatically created in your quickbooks,chart of accounts by cinder so on this,next step you are to select your,business bank or checking account,this should be done for smooth,reconciliation,we will talk about reconciliation in,more detail in a minute but you can,check the short explanation on how to,reconcile sync transactions in your,accounting company in the knowledge base,on the left click continue to move on,and connect the rest of the platforms,we suggest connecting them right away as,opposed to leaving them for later as,only this way cinder will be able to,synchronize orders paid by these,platforms let's say i accept payments in,my amazon store through stripe as an,additional payment gateway so i'm,quickly connecting stripe by clicking,connect and providing the needed,credentials,select the checking account for this,payment

hello and welcome to center tutorials,in this video i'm going to show you how,to easily reconcile online transactions,in your accounting with the help of,cinder i will show to you on the example,of stripe to quickbooks online,integration,but the flow is absolutely the same for,any accounting system,so ideally when cinder works in the,background,and you enable autosync you should be,able to see all of those transactions,with the green sync status which means,that all of those,are recorded in your quickbooks and are,sitting there waiting to be reconciled,but for the sake of this uh tutorial i,will,show you the manual way of synchronizing,them so that you can see step by step,how things are changing in your,accounting cinder mirrors the real life,money flow that you have so in your,quickbooks it creates,a clearing account in my case it's,called stripe bank account,which represents my actual stripe cinder,will record,all of my sales there with all possible,details customer name,product name tax information shipping,details,and whatever you want to track there all,of the sales and fees that stripe takes,for processing them,will be recorded in this clearing,account,once stripe makes a payout to your,actual bank,cinder will record a transfer of funds,from this strike bank account or any,clearing account in your books,to the checking account now let's see,how it works,with cinder,in my stripe i have a couple of,transactions,in here that were made in one day and,that at the end of the day stripe made a,payout for the total net amount,of all of those transactions combined if,i go to sender now,i will see all of those transactions,payment and for,invoice payments in here and i want to,synchronize them all,to my accounting,once all of the transactions are showing,with the green sync status,you can go to quickbooks and check the,results,here we can see that this tri bank,account balance has gone up,and if we open the register,we'll see that all the sales that i just,synchronized as well as the fees that,stripe took,for posting them are recorded here,but if i go to the banking tab now,and take a look at the checking,statement i will see no difference in,here,because the payout has not been yet,synchronized so let's do that,go back to cinder select the payout and,sync it,now it is showing synced as well so we,can go back to quickbooks,and update the banking page,you can now see that there appeared a,confirm,or some of you may have a match option,near this,very stripe bank feed line it means that,cinder recorded,a transaction in your quickbooks,quickbooks found this match and now asks,you to confirm it,so the only thing you need to do now is,to click confirm,and that's it do this for all of the,bank feed lines,for your stripe square shopify ebay,amazon,or any other platform you want to,connect to your accounting,moreover if you go back to the chart of,accounts,and take a look at the clearing account,balance the striving account,it has gone down to zero because a

hello and welcome to cinder tutorials,in this video you will learn how to set,up automatic income categorization of,your sales,and make sure that your profit and loss,report is a hundred percent correct,there are two ways of setting up,automatic categorization of your income,the first one will allow you to have,transactions categorized to different,income accounts based on the product,names,make sure that the names in your payment,processor and in your accounting company,are matching exactly,the second option will allow you to,categorize all of the income,transactions,to one income account so let's,synchronize several transactions,to see how both of these options work,here in stripe i have four transactions,with four different products nimbus 2020,quidditch socks festive robes in wand,ollivanders,in my quickbooks company i have these,four items set up and different income,accounts,associated with them now let's take a,look at my current profit and loss,report,this is how it looks now and it will,change right after we synchronize a,couple of transactions,to do so we go back to sender check the,needed transactions in the list,click the green sync button and sync,once the transaction status is green and,says synced,you will be able to find them in your,quickbooks or xero company,let's go back to the craft and last,report and see how it looks now,each transaction was applied to its own,product and the income account this,product belongs to,to sum up the app will find matching,products in your quickbooks,xero company and assign transactions to,them and their income accounts,correspondingly,so income categorization will be done,automatically,brand new items will be created in your,quickbooks or xero,according to your sender settings,if the names of the products in your,payment platform and accounting company,do not match you can use our product,mapping feature,go to cinder settings click configure,near your payment platform,go to the products and services tab,and set up the mapping in case the,product names were not matching at the,moment of the sync,and sender has accidentally created a,new item in your quickbooks,xero with a certain income account but,you need all of these sales to go to a,different category,there is a way to fix that go to,quickbooks,products and services tab select the,needed product and click,edit on it change income account to the,needed one,and click this also update this account,and historical transactions option,this way your profit and loss report,will be correct,now let's imagine that we want all of,those sales that we just synchronized to,go to one category,in the profit and loss report regardless,of the item,and here is how to make this happen with,cinder,first i will enable generic product and,center settings,go to settings again click configure,products and services tab and enable,generic product,i select the name of the product from,the list let it be stripe item,and click update to save the settings,from now on this pr
