if you need to submit your v80 return,from a spreadsheet our bridging software,will allow you to do it in a making tax,digital compliance way today we'll show,you how first go to the Texas section on,the Left navigation if you are using,QuickBooks for the first time to submit,your v8c returns you will be prompted to,turn on v8z now click setup v80 and,answer some questions about your v80,registration for this demonstration I'm,going to choose the start of my current,v80 period as November by filing,frequency as quarterly I'm on the,standard scheme and I have a test,v18 number to use I ignore the check box,about the flat rate scheme as I am NOT,on the flat rate scheme I click Next to,turn on v8e,once v80 is turned on your v80 Center,will be enabled and you can turn on MTD,from here you will see a message in the,top right hand corner that says get a,head with digital tax if you don't see,this option you can turn it on,within the v80 settings,once you're ready click let's go click,yes to confirm that you have signed up,for MTD click turn on MTD to start the,process you will see a confirmation page,just click continue here here will show,you the steps you need to take from here,to connect QuickBooks to HMRC,first you must sign into HMRC's,government gateway with your business,credentials second authorize QuickBooks,and HMRC to build a connection,and finally visit the v80 center and,confirm their MTD has been turned on,it's a really simple process and we'll,help you every step of the way when you,click let's go you'll be brought to the,HMRC website here you can authorize,QuickBooks to interact with HMRC this,process only needs to be done once every,18 months on this page click continue,log into the HMRC website with your,business credentials and finally click,grant authority to allow QuickBooks to,interact with HMRC do not close your,internet browser while this is happening,because it will disrupt the setup here,we are doing some things in the,background which will allow quickbooks,to talk to HMRC this will make the MTD,process run smoothly it can take up to,30 seconds to complete now MTD is,enabled in QuickBooks you will see a,green take in the top left of your v8z,center to confirm that this has happened,if you do not see this badge you have,not setup MTD now you are ready to,submit your v80 in an MTD compliance way,you will see your open return in your,v8z Center when you are ready to submit,your v80 return via our bridging,solution click the drop down arrow next,to submit return under the action column,and choose the option submit with a,spreadsheet here we inform you that you,have to bring in your spreadsheet data,all you have to do is upload the file,containing the 9 boxes that make up your,fee 80 returned we have a link here if,you need more information about what,digital record-keeping means this will,link to a page that describes more about,what is and isn't allowed during the,bridging filing process we give you a,preview of what's required t

How to transfer your QuickBooks Enterprise File to Online

hey guys james here with water for,business solutions and today we're going,to continue our series about talking,about,transferring from desktop to online for,quickbooks and quickbooks enterprise,today we're going to specifically be,talking about quickbooks enterprise i've,done two videos previously one talking,about the limitations,and what will and won't transfer from,quickbooks desktop,i definitely recommend taking a look at,that one as that will be a major help,there,because a lot of those things will still,apply to enterprise,and then i did another video talking,about how to transfer from,desktop to online the transfer process,from enterprise to online is very,similar but it's slightly different,so this video we're going to hit on that,along with what we also need to consider,since enterprise has some functionality,that desktop doesn't,so first and foremost is why we choose,enterprise,over desktop that's where we need to,start with,and there's generally three main reasons,that we end up choosing enterprise,you've been using desktop for a while,and you've just outgrown desktop,desktop generally does not work well,once we start getting over 400 500,000 targets in a target i've talked,about it previously,but a target is a data point it's an,invoice,a customer an expense a vendor it's a,measurement that quickbooks uses to,determine the size of your file,it's really kind of difficult to explain,it just because quickbooks,really can't explain it they just say,look for the targets and it's something,easy to find,but with that being said desktop doesn't,work well,exceeding that four or five hundred,thousand target limitation,so a lot of times people who want to,continue being able to go back and look,at all that stuff,instead of starting a brand new file,starting from scratch yada yada they go,ahead and they start using quickbooks,enterprise because it's designed to,handle,1 million 2 million 3 million targets,i've seen,3 million target enterprise files and,they're massive,with that being said there's no,real issue in the difference because,most people,don't really utilize the additional,features that enterprise has,over desktop when that's why they,transfer,the other thing is for reporting,functionality,um because they're reporting is honestly,probably the best reporting out there,and i'd this is where enterprise,definitely wins out over any other,accounting system out there even online,is their reporting functionality is just,so good,and there's nothing else out there right,now to really compete with it,and if you seriously use quickbooks,enterprise reports,quickbooks online will not make up for,that at this point in time,they're still working on that they've,added a,version called quickbooks online,advanced and that's supposed to kind of,meld the gap between quickbooks online,and enterprise but it's not quite there,for reporting to be honest,but one thing that they do have in there,is something called fathom reporting,fathom reporting gives us gr
