and even marketing, right,,there's a concept called upselling.,And the definition we are gonna use is,,upselling is essentially
encouraging a customer,to purchase more of the
same or an upgraded version,of a product and service.,So you're not selling something
completely different, right?,You already have a paying customer,and you're gonna want to sell
them more of the same thing,,or you're gonna sell
them a premium version,of the same thing,
obviously at a higher price.,So an example of this is,
let's say you are selling SAAS,,Software-As-A-Service,,so any kind of software or tech,,typically how it works
is someone is going to do,let's say a one-year deal contract,,and because they're signing
for one year instead of month,by month, well, they're
gonna get a discount.,Now, if you wanted to upsell them,,meaning you want to sell
them the same thing,,but more of it, you might say,,"Hey, you know, I understand
that you want to purchase,a one year contract, totally great,,but if you wanna do three years,and you know that this is
something right for you,,we can actually give you
a more generous discount,for that long-term contract.,How does that sound?",If you're selling someone
who is already a customer,,well they already trust you.,They already have used
your product and services,,so you're just kind of simply nudging,them and giving them a better discount,,in return they buy more of the same thing.,Another version of an upsell
is instead of selling more,of the same thing, like
extending a contract,,what you can do instead is
sell them a premium version,of what you're selling, right?,So when you're selling
software for example,,there are different tiers.,They might call it like bronze tier,,silver tier and gold tier.,And it's pretty much
the same product except,as you go up every single tier,,they might unlock different features,as someone may need as they
progress using your software.,So let's go ahead and hop on my computer,so you can get an example of, you know,,what this pricing tier might look like,and how you might be
able to use this example,to upsell your products and services.,So we're gonna look at this
company called Apollo.io,and essentially what
they do is they help you,,it's a software that helps you
send emails automated, right?,So, and we're on the website right now.,And when we go into the pricing,,here is how it's gonna work.,They got the Free tier, which is $0,,and you get all these features.,You have the Basic tier,,which is $50 a month or
$49 a month per person.,And then let's say you
got the Professional,,that's $99 a month, right?,So obviously this tiered

hey what's going on everyone welcome to,another feature content update video,in this video as title suggests we're,talking about product upsells,so what are product upsells well product,upsells,is a way so when a product gets added to,an estimate,invoice or the point of sale transaction,to have a pop-up come up to recommend,additional products or,alternative products that your,technician can either,try to offer as an upgrade or add to the,transaction,the end goal being to increase the,average revenue,per transaction that's being processed,at your business,so how do we turn them on good question,product upsells again exist in,estimates invoices and the point of sale,so there's actually three different,settings you can have on in different,combinations as you choose,head to admin then to invoice,preferences and you'll see an option to,turn on,upsells in the invoice preferences,and the same will be the case for,estimate,preferences additional settings enable,here,and then also in the point of sale,preferences,additional settings enable here,now i turned it on for estimates but,what do you do after you turn it on,well the next thing you need to do is go,to your inventory,and then select a product you want to,add upsells to,in this case i'm just going to pick,labor and immediately,for those of you that have been around a,while you'll see a tab that's brand new,at the top called,upsell opportunities if you click that,there's two fields here,the top field allows you to search for,individual products,i'll do a quick search here and you can,quickly add like that,or you can choose to add entire,categories,to a product upsell opportunity as well,so in this case labor's one that a lot,of people,will have what this means is anything,listed here,is going to pop up whenever that line,item is added to either the estimate the,invoice or the point of sale depending,on which one you,you have upsell opportunities turned on,on on on,that's a weird way to say that anyway so,i'm gonna,just clear this and have just the entire,labor category pop up here,and let's head to an estimate,once you have the upsell opportunities,attached,when you add the line item to,the estimate in this case you'll get a,pop-up that appears,and as it looks like you can just add,items or take them away as you see fit,and then just click add and the,additional product will be,added directly onto the transaction,again this is really useful for those of,you that are maybe selling,i don't know laptops that want to sell,additional accessories,maybe an extra ac adapter bags memory,cards,or external hard drives,all that stuff basically to try and,drive up,additional revenue per transaction um,it's really good as a reminder to,maybe even offer services to the devices,you're selling to people,whether that's setup whether that's,installation on site,basically what this allows you to do is,to,have a chance to,try and gain more revenue for your,either in person or on-site transactions,so i hope everyone enj

How would you upsell a product? Alright now,
I love this topic. Because when you can nail ,up sales, it's kind of the closest
thing I've seen to free money,,and one of the greatest ways to make this
game work and can equate to millions of dollars.,Let's dive in because I want
to show you how to do this.,Alright now, in its simplest form, how would
you upsell a product is actually one of the ,easiest things to answer, you just ask them right.
The moment they actually buy from you, you just ,say it again, "Hey, here's my product." Without getting
that obscurely simple. What I want to do is I'm ,going to actually draw out for you guys a few ways
that I like to upsell products and pretty much all ,of these are automated. So when you build a sales
funnel you can install these to automatically ,increase your sales and just automatically push up
sells all over the place and it's a great way to ,do this though without being pushy. That's what
I'm going to show you. Now, literally like I was ,saying in its simplest form. The easiest way to do
an upsell is literally to sell it to them and ask ,them to buy, the moment they buy your first thing.
This might sound counterintuitive but you have to ,understand that the way sales work is you're going
to present an offer and their psyche will respond ,by giving you a few objections. But what about,
but does it, but can I, does it fit this scenario? Once,you answer them and go back and they actually
purchase from you, it's awesome. If you go ,and upsell them immediately you actually don't
get as many objections. The way the psyche ,works the way the brain works is these objections
have not all returned for the second product. So, ,there's a common phrase in the internet
marketing space and marketing, in general, that says, ,that the second "yes" is easier than the first yes,
and the reason is because what I just said. So, I'm ,gonna go sell but I'm immediately gonna sell again
on the next page. Now there's really great ways to ,be annoying around this and there's also really
great ways to be positive around this just like ,anything in life. So what I do is you have to
understand how much of an opportunity this is. ,If you go and you sell one thing and then immediately
afterwards go sell something else. The likelihood ,that they buy is a lot higher because they just
practiced buying from you on the first page.,These upsells are absolutely massive and very
very powerful. So first thing make an upsell ,immediately after they buy. There's a company that
Russell and I were building a funnel for back when ,I worked at click funnels and it was for a tape
company. They sold tape, okay and this was actually ,very similar to the funnel style. It reminded me
of it actually, as I was looking at it, and they ,sold on Amazon but they also sold in a real funnel
and what was cool is I got a chance to see some of ,their stats after it had been running for like a
