let me show you something that,frustrated me today this guy Ian came in,made an order once and he refunded it,and then he came in and did another,order he refund it then he came and did,a third order and it refunded it and I,reached out to him I said hey Ian why,what's up like do you have some,questions about your orders or anything,going on that's that I can help you with,has seen you refund the order a couple,times and I want to make sure you're,good to go and the email be back and,just said the shipping prices are a,little bit crazy so it wasn't sure if he,was doing it right and anyway he he was,able to on his own behalf cancel his own,orders and reordered so he ordered this,one for 42 bucks and he cancelled it,then it came back any order this one and,it cancelled it then it came back and,ordered at 105 dollars and he cancelled,it and look he came back a fourth time,and he made an order for a hundred and,twenty two dollars what's incredible,about this is that he did it all on his,own he didn't have to use any of my,customer support to do it for him and he,was able to completely control his order,from fixing it to reordering and he did,four different orders this is all,possible because of an app called order,if I and i highly recommend you get this,app to save you a bunch of time from,customer service having to deal with,cancelled orders people mistyping their,email addresses people mistyped their,their address for their mailing address,all the time usually on mobile because,they're got fat fingers and they type,too fast and they just can't get it,typed incorrectly so you need to get the,order if I app and it's down here at the,bottom order if I you're going to go to,visit the Shopify store type order if if,I it looks like this and it's a it's a,three dollar a month app so trust me,that's worth it because that's going to,say these that much time and customer,service than having to deal with this,yourself so go ahead and download it hit,the get button agree to all the charges,and you'll be all set up once you've got,it added into your store you're going to,go ahead and click here into your app to,go see what's in here and there's going,to be instructions here on how to use,the order if I app there's just,basically one thing you need to do and,it's in the order confirmation emails,right here,okay so this kind of explains what the,app does but if you go down here and you,see what the steps are you going to need,to go to your order a confirmation,template and you're going to need to put,some code in that template this code,right here so this code needs to go into,the order template now where do you find,the order confirmation template it's,it's going to be down here inside of,settings so here it is in settings and,go to notification so settings right,here and then notifications then this is,your order confirmation now if you,remember we edited this earlier and the,training will be added some extra text,about shipping times here at the bottom,rememb

welcome to lightning talks please,welcome to the stage staff developer for,Shopify chopper hüseyin good afternoon,everyone and thank you so much for being,here with me today before I get started,if you have any questions and I'm,willing to bet you're going to have a,few I'll be available at the developer,drop-in area to chat after this until,the end of today let's get into it we,have a order editing I'm so excited to,be able to share this project with you,today,you probably heard Lindsey talk about it,on the mainstage this morning and how,long it's been wanted when I started a,shop fight over six years ago order,editing was always the feature we wish,we could make but it was going to,require an entire rebuild of our order,foundations before it could become a,reality after investing in those,foundations I can tell you we're really,excited to be where we are today,Shopify was built over a decade ago with,the assumption that orders were never,going to change,buyers would place orders and merchants,would ship those orders what else did,you need today we know that the pipeline,of order processing is dramatically more,complex than that and our goal with,order editing is to help merchants,manage that complexity just a little bit,better,orders interact with almost everything,in the Shopify platform fulfillments,inventory payments reporting you name it,and Merchants expect to be able to trust,all of that data,our team has put in a ton of effort to,make sure that edits are reflected,across the entire Shopify platform,seamlessly we've also invested in a long,term architecture that's going to make,the orders platform more extensible for,years to come but before I get too deep,into the technical I want to cover a,little bit about why this feature is,going to be so valuable to our merchants,we're all painfully aware that we don't,live in a perfect world and commerce is,particularly messy merchants have to,deal with customers who make mistakes,change their mind or just want to order,something they forgot to order last time,giving flexibility to our merchants lets,them provide a great customer experience,and with your help we can give them some,of the most powerful tools on the market,to help them reflect reality order,editing also opens up huge capabilities,for personalization customer,relationship management and buyer,control now you're probably wondering,what you'll actually be able to do with,these new abilities well let's go over a,little bit about what the API is going,to support so you'll be able to add and,remove items to an order you'll be able,to adjust the quantities of those items,whether they were added through an edit,or on the order originally you'll be,able to add custom items just like draft,orders and point-of-sale support today,and you'll also be able to invoice,buyers with a summary of changes from,the edit I'm also really excited to,announce that additional payments will,be collectable through Shopify checkout,and now that you know what you

good afternoon everyone and welcome to,today's webinar today we're gonna be,covering,repeat sales from all the pads if,anyone's watching this right now as my,voice it's Mike that I'll be doing,today's session and we will have Cullum,on the live chat as well if you've got,any questions throughout throughout the,webinar will also be hanging around at,the very end for a little while if,you've got any further questions after,the session is done so what we're gonna,be covering today is how you can settle,and create all the pads within the back,office and some of you who are watching,this may have created these previously,before through prima gob and if you're,looking to know how they work within,prima go can we put a link to that,webinar in the chat shortly so if you,want to watch that once once we're done,here to see how it will work on your,webstore then it then by all means watch,once we're done here but this is it this,is how you can set it up with indeed the,back-office so you can use an order pad,for a number of different reasons but so,the main use of going to be going,through today is if any of your,customers have repeat monthly weekly,daily orders that they put on and,whatever it fits your customer whatever,the order if it's a weekly paper or that,they have then rather than you having to,remember or so it's a put it on or if,they've got quite a large order they,please sort of quite often then and the,time it takes that you know for you to,actually put on the order you can be do,something sort of more proactive rather,than reactive and so it's just freeing,up some time for yourself to do other,things and it's a setup an orthopod,within prima we can go into this new,record button and we can select the,order pad option here basically the,screen that you see is a little bit like,we in creating a sales order so once you,come in through you they create a new,record screen you can research you can,be looking to set an order pad up for so,we can select the company that we want,and we give it a reference re own or the,pad name so for this one it's just going,to be a test or the pad that we do you,could do sort of say your weekly order,you know,your paper order whatever it might be,for that company you give it a bit of a,name just shove it you know sort of,exactly what that orders for once happy,with all the information where it's,going to the contact we can just hit,this create button here and this will,load up and all the pad here so then,they saw the pad we can add whatever,items that we want and and what I've,raised him to your customers wanting you,can actually specify quantities units by,just clicking the create new record down,at the very bottom so looks like for,this order we should add some care to,for table ones you can specify pack,sizes so if you've got an item that you,stuck in in various pack size isn't the,customer always wants a pack of five you,can specify the sales unit if available,within within that sales unit box below,that we have

How DRAGINBOXING helps me deal with CLUTTER

so lately i've been dealing with a,really cluttered environment and as,someone who,grew up being kind of messy and then,slowly has been shifting into a more,orderly and organized person,um i now start to seek out really clean,environments kind of open spaces things,are nice and like filed and categorized,correctly but i think there is something,to be said for,constantly striving to keep our,environments really nice and clean and,not necessarily have them this cluttered,most of the time have to spend this huge,chunk of time cleaning it and then,enjoying a orderly desk for like a,couple days and then it's messy again as,i became more orderly and more organized,i started to realize that i would,generate these lists i have like all,these different paper piles of things,that i either wanted to do,i took notes on from like books or,articles or,videos and it's just like scattered,everywhere the issue is that,there are probably important things in,that pile and i need to go through them,at some point there might be a bill in,there that i'm not aware of there might,be a message,that i needed to send to someone like,three weeks ago i'm sure there's like an,endless list of,of things that i could,probably be missing right now,and so that's one of the issues to,having so much clutter right now and,even though i'm like starting to,implement these systems and getting,better about,trying to have these habits and routines,in place to not have,that like lag behind on all of the,things that need to get done so i want,to,bring myself back to this intention to,keep things clean keep things tidy and,incorporate these systems and habits,that allow me to work through these,different lists this whole idea of,concentrated chaos,i would concentrate all of my chaotic,stuff all of my notes all of my papers,projects,all the stuff and just like as few,concentrated areas as possible,this whole idea of concentrated chaos,really mostly comes from a snippet i,took from the getting things done system,i think basically it's just inboxing,that is the whole intention here for,this,initiative like creating lots of space,on my environments and creating these,little inboxes of things areas that i,can put things and tasks that i can just,kind of knock off the list and setting,something on my calendar or my daily or,weekly schedule to actually go through,these inboxes so that i make sure that,i'm not missing important bills i'm not,forgetting to reach out to these people,i'm not missing this important task and,that's the intention getting back to,those three things,so the first thing that i like to do is,to choose one specific area that i want,to work on because if i think about,trying to declutter the entire room or,the entire house that sets the bar a,little bit too high for me and i like to,consolidate to the most simplest thing,that i can focus on so i'm going to,start with the desk i just want to have,a completely clean environment and then,i'll come and tackle this because this,is li
