okay hello welcome to smarthome.com we,got a volume discount pricing model with,a sensitivity analysis tab as well this,is some really cool stuff if you sell,any items in bulk and you want to figure,out potential discounting how to,maximize discounts,in an optimal way this template will,give you a great,perspective and idea of where to start,so the first tab here is just testing a,single starting price point of unit sale,of a given unit,with a given cost of goods sold,and so you've got an existing profit,margin here and then what you can do,with this tool is you can um edit these,cells and light yellow to whatever,numbers make sense for you and then this,is going to show you,a potential,discount schedule for every given um,volume level,based on this input right here so you,can define basically the percentage,you want to discount,per,one,unit,for example if we sell say there's no,discount for up to 50 units and then,after 50 we're going to add 0.08 percent,discount for every one extra unit,the curve is right here,so you can plug in any amount of volume,and see what the discount will be based,on that curve the problem is you got to,make sure,you don't,you know you don't want to offer,discounts into perpetuity and there's a,reason why,people have volume discounts that cap,so for example in this scenario,if i,you know i have point,zero eight here starting unit or unit,level,unit increase lever at 50. so it shows,me if i do buckets of you know 50 units,100 150 and i give greater discounts the,more you buy,so 0 up to four fifty four percent off,at a hundred eight percent off at one,fifty twelve percent off at two hundred,so at some point it doesn't make sense,to continue raising this number,and that point is the gross profit,so what you can do,and you can see the the,yet the green here is highlighted and,that will change if we change the values,um,but what that does is says look,if you sell 300 units at a 20 discount,you're pricing them at 44 dollars,instead of 55,and you're making a gross profit on that,sale of 4 800,13,200 sale,revenue cost console is 8 400 based on,this,you're making 4 800 bucks,if you go up one more to 24,you're still going up in gross profit so,even though you're in your discounts,going up to 24,so this still makes sense you're still,making more gross profit and you're able,to increase the discount even more,now,this is green because you can't go past,24 in this case,because what happens is the total gross,profit made,is now going down after that point and,that's kind of what this chart shows so,you're as your volume goes up even,though you're increasing discounts,you're still making making more gross,profit until it starts going down when,it starts going down you know there's no,point in selling 400 units if it's only,gonna make you forty six hundred dollars,when you can sell 350 to make for 4 800.,i mean at that point,you are,actually making less for every one more,units sold and and all the way up from,here you're making more s

hi there Emily from picky story here,today I'm going to show you picky,story's tier discounts feature how it,looks in your store and how you can set,it up using piggystory so tiered,discounts basically allow you to,encourage your customers to spend more,to save more,so for example on this product page of,the green t-shirt we have a deal here,where they can buy a pack of shirts and,they can buy them in tiers so they can,buy three and save 10 or by six and save,15 you can set up as many tiers as you,like and we also have different layout,options for example you can display it,more like this below the product it also,doesn't have to be on a product page but,this is where um this type of deal works,really effectively this example is for,multiple products but you can also use,this to upsell one single product for,example on this on this product page the,customer can buy a pack of just this one,product but when they buy it in bulk,they save more so it's a great option,for consumable products that customers,use a lot of or also if you're trying to,make customers hit a minimum shipping,requirement it's a great way to,encourage them to spend more so that's,basically what the tiered upsell deal,looks like now let's take a look at how,to set it up in picky story,so from the get started page in the app,you can navigate to create bundle and,then click on tier discounts,okay we can give it a name here this is,just for our reference,and then we can start adding our,products or just one product if that's,all you want to do so I'm just going to,add these two,and then we can set up our discount,tiers,so you can set up as many tiers as you,like you just input the text here that,you want to appear on the label set the,quantity requirements and the discount,which can either be percentage or like a,fixed amount value if you want them to,say ten dollars versus ten percent,and then we can also set the product,quantity which is just the number that,appears in the quantity Box by default,so if the customer wants two of one and,none of this one they can they can,change that as well,so I'm going to add a new tier here,and like I said you can set up as many,peers as you like,just make sure that you change the,discount to match whatever you put here,as well,and then I'll set the product quantity,for two each in this one,okay,and then once we've added our discount,parameters we need to choose where to,display this so I want to show it on my,product pages specifically for the two,products that I added to the kit so I'm,going to click on add location then I'm,going to create a new location here and,call it,Fair deals on pdps,and then if I choose product pages only,it will automatically show on the,product pages for the two products that,I just added it to the kit if you only,wanted to display it on one page you,could choose Advanced and enter the file,path there,but let's stick with product pages,and then we add that location,so once we have our location set we can,click on cust

hello everyone today I will show you how,to create a simple volume discount in,Butler app I will create a volume,discount which will give my customers a,10 discount when they buy five products,together and 20 discount when they buy,10 products together,to start creating a volume discount you,first have to click the create button,you can see that I can now select the,type of the bundle I want to create,currently you can create a classic,bundle a mix and match bundle and a,volume discount bundle,a classic bundle is a bundle where you,give customers a discount when they buy,a preset combination of products,the mix and match bundle allows,customers to pick any combination of,products for the bundle and get a,discount as long as they fulfill the,requirements you set up,the volume discount allows you to give,customers a discount when they buy,multiples of the same or different,products together,for example you can give them a discount,when they buy four of the same items,together,in this video we will create a volume,discount to do this I will select the,volume discount option,all right we are now configuring our,volume discount as you can see each,field already has a default value,I already explained what these fields do,in one of our other videos so we will go,through these a bit faster,the first field allows us to set up the,name of the bundle this name shows up on,the invoices and is being used as a,discount name,the second field gives you an option to,set a title for this volume discount,this title will show up in your shop and,on your product pages,I will just leave it on the default,option as the default value is already,okay for me,the next option allows you to set up a,description for this volume discount,this will show just below the title of,the volume discount this default option,is also good enough for me so I will,just leave it how it is,and now to the priority sequence,the priority sequence is a great,functionality which is incredibly useful,when you have multiple bundles and,discounts with similar sets of products,let me explain again how it works,by default bundler applies bundle,discounts and volume discounts by the,priority sequence meaning that it first,tries to apply discount from a bundle,with the highest priority and so on,if every bundle and discount has a,unique combination of products then you,don't even have to bother with priority,sequence however as soon as you have the,same or a similar combination in more,than one bundle for example bundle with,product A and B and another bundle with,products a b and c then you have to set,the priority of your bundles,if you want to keep using both bundles,in this example then the second bundle,the one with more products should have a,higher priority than the first one,this way bundler first tries to apply,the discount from the bundle with a,higher priority and if it can't apply it,because the customer doesn't have all of,the required products in the card then,it continues with the next b
