shopify dropshipping app oberlo is,officially shutting down on june 15th,this is leaving a lot of people,wondering what they should be using,instead and if you're watching this and,you're not aware oberlo was an app that,shopify actually acquired themselves,back in 2017 that allowed users to link,aliexpress products to their shopify,stores so that the drop shipping store,owner could easily import products and,then have them drop shipped from,aliexpress vendors and i'm not gonna lie,this whole thing sounds really strange,to me because if you have the capital,that shopify has and if you believe in,the drop shipping with aliexpress,business model then i think it would,only rationally make sense to invest,into making this product better if,what's happening is your competitors are,doing a better job of you in this case,the competitor would be an app called,de-essers now i want to quickly share,this and i'll link to this below this,video but this is on oberlo.com so here,it says why is the oberlo app shutting,down and they say their top priority is,doing the best in the entrance of,merchants of course it is we're,sunsetting the app on june 15th and,transitioning how we are enabling drop,shipping to a more optimal solution,trusted by shopify partners de-essers so,they're basically saying they're,shutting it down so that somebody else,can do a better job of it again if,you're shopify and you have the capital,and you believe in this business model,why wouldn't you just make your thing,even better that would be like shopify,saying you can't send emails with,shopify anymore now you have to use,clavio because they're better it's like,maybe that's true but don't you want to,make your thing better isn't that why,you're a company isn't that why you,originally acquired this and if you,don't think you're going to do the best,why not at least sell the asset anyway,they go on to say this product,appreciation which is a routine,occurrence is in pursuit of providing,merchants with the best solutions to,reach their customers wherever they are,again you know while things do get,sunsetted i just think it's strange if,they actually believed in this that they,wouldn't just do a better job and,continue to have more people be,successful with it and again i don't,know for sure but maybe shopify just saw,after all these years now that drop,shipping from aliexpress with that model,isn't really as great as they thought it,was when they first acquired oberlo,which is also what many people who start,to dropship from aliexpress learn the,hard way so now that we're only about,two weeks away from this app no longer,being functional let's talk about what,you should use instead now like i just,pulled up over here shopify is,recommending that you use a shopify,partner in the app store called,de-essers so that is one option however,and this is a big however being you're,gonna have to transition anyway if this,is the model you already use i think,this is a great opportunity for anyone,ou

Breaking Shopify News: Oberlo Is Shutting Down

i have some breaking news in the shopify,drop shipping realm i had to wait a,little bit to make this video because i,wanted to confirm this to be true,apparently oberlo the most popular drop,shipping app of all time maybe not,necessarily in terms of how much is used,currently but it's probably one of the,most well-known apps in this shopify,drop shipping space they're officially,shutting down their doors and ceasing to,exist so yeah this isn't click bait i,want to take a moment of silence here,for oberlo,thank you now let me catch you up real,quick so if you don't know what a burlo,is oberlo is an app on shopify that,allows you to fulfill your drop shipping,orders it syncs orders from your store,to aliexpress and allows you to fulfill,really easily this isn't the only app,that does this but this app in,particular is sort of what sparked the,drop shipping revolution here on youtube,you know this is the app that i first,used to create my first drop shipping,store which eventually led to me,creating brands helping businesses and,creating this channel so this is a,little bit sentimental and honestly i,think oberlo was a really cool company,they created courses they had a really,dope youtube channel but here's,something that i guess we need to,consider so it's not oberlo the company,entirely that's shutting down it's just,the oberlo app in particular and here's,the reason why so let's read a little,bit about this oberlo drop shipping app,is shutting down on june 15th 2022 after,this date you won't be able to access,your berlo account if you wish to,continue dropshipping please either,automatically migrate your historical,data from a brillo to the de-essers app,using our migration tool or manually,migrate to any other drop shipping app,so what they're talking about here is,about the de-essers tool which is,actually another tool that allows you to,do basically what oberlo does but faster,i'm not going to lie to you de-esters is,better than oberlo it's just slightly,more complicated and i used to advocate,for oberlo because i knew that shopify,actually bought oberlo so i figured they,had a better integration but apparently,they no longer want to pursue this drop,shipping fulfillment app and instead,they're working on a partnership with,de-essers which is an app that again,does the same thing oberlo does but,better so this isn't really bad news,honestly especially if you're trying to,start a drop shipping store nothing,really changes here now instead of going,to oberlo though you may go to de-essers,right away which if you've been around,for a while in this space you've,probably been using de-essers already,now de-essers does have a free plan just,like oberlo does so that's really nice,they allowed you to import up to 3 000,products from aliexpress and up to two,suppliers per product which is super,cool but anyways why is the oberlo app,shutting down so shopify's top priority,is doing what is in the best interest of,merchants we're sun setting oberlo on,j
