MASW (Multichannel Analysis of Surface Waves) Data Acquisition
multichannel analysis of surface wave or,MSW is a non-destructive seismic surface, method that is used for subsurface, characterization using share very, positive in this video we demonstrate, the acquisition of MSW data the MSW data, are typically acquired with engine unity, smokers and low frequency vertically, polarized geophones arranged at,regularly spaced intervals the number of,cheer forms and demonstration controlled, investigation the and resolution of the, data the total length of the J point, spread is directly related to the, longest wavelength of the surface wave, which in turn determines the maximum, depth of investigation the receiver Jeff, inspection is related to the shortest, wavelength and therefore determines the, shallow is resolved about that fourth, investigation in general the longer, delay the greater the investigation,Baptist and the smaller the gel, concentration, the higher the resolution is 24 on,modular homes are typically used to,acquire MSW data evenly spaced geophones,we have a seismic cable connected to,this is no graph and instrument at,record seismic field data this a small, graph is forward by a regular weld bolt, car battery and controlled by a laptop, for a seismic source a sledgehammer is,most commonly used to create an impact,on the ground a solid aluminum plate is,typically used as the coupling device, against which the Hemi impulse is,applied, what you've created there a more, powerful input source can be utilized, such as wave job source the way job, source can also maximize the service, speed for large-scale service that, require a large number of impacts the, source is separated from the first, receiver but can also distance the, office' distance is simply 20% of the, area where however can be site-specific,prior to the census data creation, parameters such as source offset, geophone station acoustic source type, and trigger type must be selected, sending rate of 1 millisecond is most, commonly used in mfw surveys the total, recording time of 1 seconds is usually, used for the impulsive seismic source,MSW service MSW data are normally, acquired by a two-person crew when the, acoustic sources discharged the trigger, attached to the sledgehammer initiate, the seismic record and modify this is,small graph that the server has begun, the operator evaluates the acquired data, quality and give the signal to the, second group member to proceed to check, the geophone connections if necessary, after acceptance of the standing, additional readings can be collected in,the same location for the purpose of,stacking record stacking is used to,improve the data quality and general use,in noisy environments

Multichannel Pipetting Technique
Multichannel Pipetting Technique
multichannel pipettes are commonly used, when preparing a large number of samples, when used properly multi-channel,pipettes can save time and improve, reproducibility improper use however can, lead to imprecise replicates thereby, wasting precious time and valuable, resources in this video we will walk you, through some common mistakes users can, make when utilizing a multi-channel,pipette and how to overcome them by the,end of the video you should be able to,precisely pipette samples into a 96-well,plate precise pipetting begins with your, pipette tips when attaching tips to a,multi-channel pipette make sure that you, apply equal pressure across the width of,the pipetting surface unequal pressure, can lead to uneven tips when tips aren't,even they must be filled at different, immersion depths this can lead to the, inadvertent aspiration of air bubbles, unequal pressure can also lead to a poor, seal between the pipette and tips this, phenomena tends to affect the tips on,the edge of the pipette and leads to,unequal aspiration at the ends of the, instrument once the tips are attached, visually inspect them to make sure that, the tips are level when aspirating, ensure that the tips are fully submerged, and slowly draw the liquid up into the,tip if you aspirate too quickly you may, draw a liquid into the filter of the tip, once aspiration is complete visually, check to ensure that the fluid level is,even across the tips reagent reservoirs, provide scientists with quick access to,solutions for pipetting as you, repeatedly aspirate from a reagent, reservoir you will notice that as your, solution runs out the liquid no longer, spans the length of the reservoir, although volumetrically there may be,enough solution in the reservoir to,finish loading your plate this liquid, cannot be accessed without aspirating, air bubbles before starting an,experiment determine the minimum volume, required to span the bottom of your, reagent reservoir and add it to the, volume of solution required for your, experiment this will ensure that the, pipette tips will be sufficiently, submerged for the entire plate now that, you have precisely a successfully, aspirated your sample it's time to,transfer the sample to a 96-well plate, one problem that you make, during sample transfer is the retention,of liquid in your pipette tip this often, arises when you attempt to pipette into, the center of the well to overcome this, issue take advantage of the wicking, nature of liquids when by petting into,an empty 96-well plate make sure that, your tip touches the side of the well, capillary action between the wall of the, well and the liquid will help draw the, sample out of the tip after pipetting, visually inspect the tips to ensure that, all of the sample was transferred when,by petting into a 96-well plate that, already contains a liquid you should, submerge to the tips and I pet directly, into the existing liquid be sure to,expel the sample slowly to avoid air, bubbles when using this approach we,recommend slowly and gently aspirating

eZ Publish - Multichannel Content Management Tutorial
eZ Publish - Multichannel Content Management Tutorial
hi my name is owen fasergreen and in,this video tutorial we're going to look,at how we can use easy publish as a,source for a multi-channel content, delivery system,to get started we'll log into, easypublish we supply our username and, password, and that gives us access to the easy, toolbar which enables us to create and, modify content directly in context but, also some additional functionality which,i'm going to show you now, what we're going to use as a source of,information is this article about the, ferrari bellanetta boxer, and what i'll start with is simply going,in and doing some modifications to the, content,so i'm going to change the title to,bb512,and add a byline to the car view, once i'm done i'm going to store this, information just so we can have some, content changes,so you can see bb512 is now added to the, title of the article, this is now instantly available in the, website so if we go to the front page of,this portal we'll notice that the title, has been updated here, now if we open the iphone simulator we,can see the same information represented,in this mobile channel,so this is the same content that's,delivered from easy publish on the web, which is also delivered to the iphone, channel which means that the content is,tuned for the specific screen size the, navigation is customized, images are scaled and so on,this is the out of the box setup that, comes with easy publish for delivering, content in both web and mobile channels,i haven't done any customization,to continue with this example and, demonstrate that easy publish can, deliver through multiple channels what,i've done is to install an extension, from indesign which basically enables me,to export content directly to a format, indesign can read,so i hit this indesign export button i'm,going to jump back to indesign, and here i have a template for a,fictitious supercar magazine, what i can do is simply click import xml,and choose the content i just exported, notice we have the updated title and, byline, and of course here we can continue, editing and fixing a typo for example,so what we've done is to take the, content from easypublish,we deliver it to a low resolution mobile, channel we deliver it to standard web,and also we reuse the image for high, resolution pdf,the original image that was stored in,easy publish is used so that you can, actually generate a high resolution pdf,out of this, and if we scroll down, you can also notice details like, paragraphs are being kept we have, indented paragraphs paragraph headings,as you'd expect,so this example quickly shows how you, choose easy publish as a single source, for managing content, and you can feed this to multiple, delivery channels including print mobile, and web

Export Multichannel Audio in Premiere Pro | PremiumBeat.com
Export Multichannel Audio in Premiere Pro | PremiumBeat.com
hey everybody I'm Devin Laird from, premium beat calm in this tutorial I'm,going to show you how to set up and, export a video with multiple audio, tracks I'm going to cover how to,properly set up a sequence tweak, settings based on type project and how,to properly export your project keeping, all of the audio tracks separated out, being able to separate an export a video,an audio file with multiple audio tracks,is an important skill whether it's,simply to retain separation from a music, track and an audio track for future, revisions orbits to have separate tracks, for a live concert so what I'm going to,do is first I'm just going to create a,new sequence and I'm just going to use, digital SLR 1080p 30 frames you can use, whatever so what you're going to do is,you're going to want to go into tracks, you're going to want to change this, video tracks is fine you do want to go,into the audio change this to,multi-channel,and for this particular example we'll,just use two audio channels so that's,fine down here you'll see there's a,default of three we only need two so I'm,just going to click this guy we're gonna, click - that'll get rid of it and output,it assignments by default it's going to,automatically be set to one and two so,that's okay and we're going to want to,pan a left and then right this way it'll,keep it from being a stereo track and,it'll be able to go in as mono tracks, you'll also want to change the track, type from standard to mono as well and, just to you know be organized we'll call, this 2 channel multi track and one one, thing I would recommend is to save this,is a preset because especially if you do,this maybe once or twice a year you, might like not remember all these little, settings and if you have those presets, aid you can just always go to it and,it's there so I'm just going to call, this a two channel multi track and I was, clear there that will ensure that we,have this as a custom sequence so we'll,go ahead and hit, okay so now we have our sequence made,we're going to go ahead and bring in a,video so right now this is just a,voiceover and I'll just play a little, bit of it so you can see that when I,play the audio is correctly put onto one, channel and so that's a good way to test,if your sequence is set up properly you, want to make sure that in your audio, levels that you have whatever audio, being played on the appropriate Channel, now we did make this for two channels, and you'll see there that there is a,blank audio channel here so I'll just go,ahead and bring in some music so this is,some music i got from premium beat and,i'm just going to bring this up and i,probably going to lower the volume down, just a bit so it will match the, voiceover and so now you'll see it's,going to meet this real quick now you'll,see that we now have the voice over on,audio 1 and then the music track on,audio 2 so again the benefit of being, able to export both of these separate is,that for whatever reason you you ever, want to come back in and tweak just the, voice over ju

SMB Multichannel with Azure File Shares
SMB Multichannel with Azure File Shares
in this video we review smb,multi-channel and azure how it works and,how to use it,hello everyone i'm travis and this is,thrall dose in this video we review smb,multi-channel with azure file shares, before that please like subscribe share, with a friend and let me know your, thoughts in the comments below also if,you're interested in using windows 80,identities in azure check out my hybrid, identities course on unib.com the link,is below let's start by taking a look at,what smb multi-channel is and we'll do,that with an analogy let's say we have a,road that's the channel between the smb, client and the server now we have a,group of people going to a birthday, party, that's the application they're going in,the blue car now let's say there's,another group of people going to the, circus in the red car, apologies to my color blind friends out, there, and there's another group of people, going to the market in a purple car and, some going to a concert in a green car, that looks to be a low rider for some, reason things are getting congested on,the road let's say we open up three more, lanes now each application can have its,own lane or a busy application can use, multiple lanes smb multi-channel allows, clients to better utilize the bandwidth, between the client and the server by,providing multiple s b paths or channels, azure files premium now supports smb, multipath adding another performance, improvement option for azure files,multi-channel is only available on,premium file shares and is off by,default smb multi-channel works with, multiple network adapters as well as a,single network adapter single network, adapters leverage something called, receive side scaling or rss that spreads, multiple connections across cpu cores, preventing bottlenecks at the cpu azure, vms have rss enabled by default we can, disable and re-enable it with the set,net adapter command, get net adapter rss shows the status, run set netadapter rss with the name, option enter the name, and set enabled to true or false,i'm not going to change the setting, because i want it enabled and the, command will drop the network interface, for a few seconds,as mentioned before,multi-channel is off by default on an,azure premium file share that can be,enabled by going into the file share in,the storage account and sending it to,enabled this setting applies to all file, shares on that account, smb multi-channel is supported on,windows and linux clients that use smb,3.1.1 also there's a limit of 4 channels, used with azure file shares be careful, with the 4 channel limitation the limit,is per client not network interface the, azure vms i've used have a single net, configured with four channels adding a,second nic with another four channels, could negatively impact performance you,can change the number of channels per,nic with the set smb client, configuration command for example, setting it to two per interface on a vm,with two nics,we can use the set smb client, configuration with the configuration, count per rss network interfaces and

great it worked the first time I love, that hi thank you for being here it's,really nice to see so many of you here, and I appreciate that you've taken time, out of your morning to come listen to us,talk I really enjoy coming to Finland,I'm going to start by telling you a,story about the first time I was here, which was about eleven years ago when I,first came to work with Nokia and that's,where I met meet go was one of the, partners of talent base and it was right, about the time that he started talent, base so I've known a lot of the talent, base crew for a long time but the first, time I came to Finland it was really, dark and it was winter and there was a,snowstorm and I loved classical music so,I said well I'm going to go to Finlandia,Hall and I'm going to go listen to some, music and I went out with my boots and,the coat and I walked and stretch, through the snow and I went to hear a,Sibelius symphony so it was really like,a Finland experience because it was,Sebelius and and I thought it was, absolutely wonderful because everyone, was dressed up and it was a really, wonderful Helsinki experience so I was,by myself but it was one of my first, experiences of the city and today I'm,going to talk about music a little bit,and the term orchestration because if,you're someone who really likes any kind,of music we often think about how do,instruments play together well and how,do instruments playing together, effectively and this is how we need to,think about technology and omni-channel,and we need to think of all of our, systems and all of our data just like a,symphony and how do all these things, come together in a really harmonious way,so that's my introduction that's a nice, picture in the summer but that wasn't,like that,it was it like you notice when you look,up pictures of Helsinki the song is,always out and it's like you know, midsummer and everyone's having you know, nice time okay,so a little bit about my work I focus in,two areas which are digital asset, management and content management so Dam,and CMS I do a lot of strategy, engagements I hope with procurements so,in any given year I do 12 to 20,procurement engagements where I help, companies understand the technology, market what to pick what to choose I do,data orchestration it's the words that,I've used to helping people organize, where their data should go and how it,should move around and then I just help, with general digital stewardship these, are some of my clients from the last two, years so I've had customers more money, here's my recent one here the most, working now with with Opie with talent, base as well so I have a contrast, between these giant companies like, she'll and coca-cola who do a lot of,digital marketing you know coca-cola,spends a billion dollars a year, marketing so they have a lot of content, about their beverages and they do a lot,of different campaigns every year they, work with 200 plus agencies so it's a,very complex sort of scenario but then,as I mentioned I really like to work, with the arts

Pete Mills - Broadcast House talks Innovation in Multi-Channel at the EcommerceUK event.
hello my name is pete mills i am the, founder and director of the broadcast, house,i'll just tell you about us very briefly, and we're part of the specialist works,we're a group of companies that only, specialize in direct response marketing,in tv inserts press online and print, specialist works has 74 staff for the, turnover of 65 million in 2012 and it's,founded by myself and there's a,difference with our agency in that,i am an ex-client as commercial director,of a company you might know which is,called jml which is actually also my,family business, which this year rather frightening will, turn over 120 million pounds selling, household goods and the broadcast house,in a nutshell,is the uk's only fully integrated drtv, agency in the uk,so the services we offer are media, buying tv production analytics, regulation sorry regulatory compliance, including long-form infomercials we make, those things that go on for about 30,minutes,make short form tv advertising and, rather uniquely we establish shopping, channels end to end,and also video on demand and that's what,i'm really here to talk about today i'm,not here to board about how wonderful tv,is,so today in terms of the companies we,work with we typically specialize in,bringing retail and mail-order brands, onto the tv shopping space as i said in,an end-to-end way and what we're really, about is maximizing their revenues, both via broadcast and online i'm,pleased to say we had a couple of,accolades this year so we voted london's,number one agency by the recommended, agency register and also were voted in,sunday times top 100 best companies to,work for which you're rather proud of,so what um i want to talk about today is,how we can make the most, from uh our tv production which is very, specialized in terms of tv shopping, online, our approach to tv shopping, and tv production all the way through is,to amateurs our cluster out the truth of,producing tv drtv or tv shopping is it,can be significant and to make this work,we really must make work as hard as,possible across all the marketing, mediums,as i said my background is i came from,my family business probably owned, companies obviously money had to be used,in the most appropriate way at all times,so our approach to tv production was, this we'd make a 30 minute infomercial, from that we'd cut a shot a short form,tv advertising campaign from that same, video we'd make an in-store video we,then license it internationally and from,2002 we utilize this online to enhance, our web-based sales the reason for that, was we launched our first shopping, channel that year, rather innovatively called jml direct, and obviously we had tons of content, from that so we wanted to use that as,best we possibly could online, now the really interesting thing about, that was overnight the sales of the, products that we were selling online, with tv shopping content when it was, used correctly and i'll come back to,that we're enhanced by 300 as opposed to,the static use of photography which most, retailers seem t
