welcome back to another edition of the,wizard shop today we're going to talk,about some things that i call wizard,tips this isn't for the professional,techs out there that know all the tricks,of the trade and have all their,the the ways that they work all figured,out and everything this is for the,do-it-yourself mechanic this is for the,guy who's a hobbyist a shade tree,mechanics i guess that's what you call,them so we're going to go over some few,tips that,i've had friends in the shop or i've had,even apprentices of people working for,me when i show them these tips it just,like,blows up their mind they're like why,didn't i think of that,so,let's get started,so before we get started,the the previous videos that you guys,have seen have had some pretty bad sound,quality pretty bad video quality or,whatnot,we're actually using a 4k camera you're,watching 4k right now,and i have ever let several people have,recommended the rode wireless go up,that's what i'm trying out see how the,results are i'm hoping they're really,good i want to do really good for you,guys so,the first tip and i've rented this,problem i have an apprentice someone,i've hired or even helping a buddy out,we're pulling a transmission,and there's some bolts on the bell,housing they can't get to,and they've got some bunch of weird,universal joints and weird things and,they're in there and they're ah and,they're knocking their hands and,i just can't get to this bolt,i don't know what we're going to do and,they're totally stumped,the trick of the trade here is don't box,yourself in don't get stuck in this,little area right here and say the,problem is here and the solution is here,i just have to find it,when the solution is not there,let's take a few steps back,i'll show you the solution,long 3 8 extensions,as many as you need,you can just keep going,and keep going,i can reach out and touch mrs wizard,with it,now,the reality is guys,don't box yourself,in from right here,i can get right onto a bowl that's,giving me a bunch of trouble,as you can see it's on the on the bolt,and you put your ratchet or impact or,whatever you want to use on the end,and now you're not fighting,you can just break the bolt loose,break it loose,then you can put a power ratchet or an,impact and zip the bolt out,onto the next one you can go all the way,around the transmission that way,so like i said again,don't think that the problem lies here,the solution lies here i have to be,stuck right here i can be way back i can,have enough extensions i can be at the,rear axle,and get that bolt off i mean,take a few steps back can i look back,here can i get to it with an extension,from way back here nine times out of a,10 you can and it totally just solves,the problem and you're all moving on,down the road so,that's wizard tip number one,so let's pretend that this vehicle is on,the ground it's already on the lift so i,could have easy access to show you the,next tip tip number two is you're,driving along,your engine dies,and y

Making a Glitch Powered Helicopter in Scrap Mechanic

scrap mechanic is a fun game but it's,certainly not due to its physics this,might be one of the most glitchy games,I've ever played and frequently I've,spent time working around its bugs today,though Michael is to use its glitches to,my advantage and attempt to make a,helicopter I was pretty sure this wasn't,gonna fly in any traditional sense but I,was curious what weird stuff I could,find now starting out here I just,deleted some of this wood that I left,behind and after that I put down the,lift and I started by putting down this,pillar of concrete now on that you see,I'm putting down some suspension and,it's going to be the main idea of this,video the thing is iPhone suspension to,be very glitchy in the past but now that,I put it all on This Bar like this it,just didn't really seem to want to do,anything interesting so next up here you,see it turned up its strength to the,absolute Max and trying to hit this,around it still didn't seem to be that,glitchy it bounced off the ground a,little bit there but it wasn't really,doing anything too out of the ordinary,now I also tried putting some wheels on,this to see if this long chain would do,anything but it still seemed to be,acting seeing pretty much as you'd,expect and of course now that I'm trying,to make it glitchy it doesn't really,seem to want to now back on a lift here,I had another idea and you'll see what,I'm doing is putting in a suspension,piece and on the other side I'm putting,down a piston now after linking those,together I attach it to this button and,pressing it in while it does seem to,move the piston a little bit it wasn't,really doing anything too glitchy now I,realized that probably what I needed was,more power here so Cena doing is adding,on some more pistons and also added on a,couple more suspension pieces just for a,little more power pushing the button now,it was actually starting to get some,meaningful motion out of this now I,couldn't tell if this motion is being,caused by vibrations or if the mechanism,itself was causing some amount of lift,so you'll see here what I'm starting to,do is build up this crane-like device,and put down this arm on it in the,middle hit this around here and it's,able to freely move around and by,welding the device straight on this arm,if I'm generating any lifts I should be,able to see it once I turn it on and,already I noticed that while it was,vibrating rounds it didn't really seem,to be generating any lift or moving the,arm in any direction this is telling me,that I'm not creating any lift here and,while it is interesting it's not,directly going to be useful for a,helicopter I was curious how far I could,push this though so you'll see what I'm,doing now is adding on a bearing and I'm,putting down another long arm of,suspension pieces now by adding a,bearing I'm adding on an extra degree of,freedom and I was thinking by adding,more of those it should make things a,lot more glitchy so we'll do this all up,here and I want to take it off the lift,and

This video was supposed to be a footnote for the previous video on Super Mario Bros. glitch,levels, but then I decided to answer a lot of the questions asked in the comments, and,whoops the video turned out to be 25 minutes long!,I'll go into more depth about some of the intricacies of the level format, as well as,talk about other releases of the game and what changed between versions.,Okay, the first thing I want to show is a few animations of the glitch levels being,played with all the level data information displayed.,I only showed 1-1 in the last video, and in an unlisted video I showed all of the other,normal levels in the game.,But I didn't show any glitch levels, which I regret missing out on.,So here are three of them.,First is the level with ID $50, the cloud tunnel level.,Garbage level data means that nonsense objects are being placed all over.,And since there's no guarantee that these objects are in order horizontally, a lot of,them don't load at all.,It's also worth pointing out that sprites don't have a queue system at all and will,just always be placed, as long as there aren't more than 4 sprites already loaded, and that,they are placed in the loading zone just off the right side of the screen.,Otherwise they just get skipped over.,Next is the level with ID $58, the tunnel that crashes.,The sprite data pointer for this level points to a region of memory that just doesn't exist,on the NES without a fancier ROM mapper, so it gets stuck trying to load the same Koopa,5 times every frame at position (0,0) in the level.,I'll talk about why this level crashes in just a moment.,But first here's the level with ID $68, the autoscroller.,This is the castle version of the level with ID $4B that I showed in the previous video--you,can't get to this level through the Tennis glitch.,Its sprite pointer is just that of level 4-1 which is why the Lakitu is here.,There's a handful of objects that just don't load here due to them being out of order.,Essentially the number of skipped objects is random, since once the X position of an,object is out of order, you have to hope you run into a byte that has the next screen flag,set in order to continue with other objects.,I sort of mentioned this in the previous video but I'll clarify here: the level data (for,the objects and sprites separately) cannot exceed 256 bytes.,This limits you to 128 tile objects and up to 128 sprite objects (or fewer depending,on the number of level transition objects which take up 3 bytes).,In fact, if you don't hit the end of the level data within the 256 bytes, the level will,just repeat those 256 bytes of data forever.,This is because the level data is indexed with the Y register, which is only 8 bits,long.,If you reach the end of the level data, when the register is incremented it just rolls,back over to zero and the data repeats again.,All tile objects are 2 bytes long so this will repeat after 128 objects, but for sprites,some weird stuff can happen due to the level transiti
