How to Create a Mailchimp Signup and Popup Form & Add it to Wordpress (COMPLETE TUTORIAL)

hey everyone welcome back to the channel,my name is larry snow and today's video,we're going to be taking a look at the,updated version of mailchimp's pop-up,signup form,it's coming up next stay tuned,there are three things we're going to,take a look at today one is,how to connect your site with the new,version,of the subscriber pop-up form we're also,going to take a look at how to,disconnect your site,and we're also going to take a look at,how to create a,segment from those that sign up through,that form,sounds like a plan let's get started,so as you can see i've logged into my,mailchimp account,and to get to the subscriber pop-up,we go to audience up here and then click,on sign up forms which will show us this,page that i'm already on,and then we click on subscriber pop-up,click select,so prior to recording this video i did,some testing,and i've already pre-formatted some,pieces,of my mailchimp test pop-up,form when you get in it you'll be a,blank slate and you can design it with,all the features that,uh that mailchimp gives you such as,adding in what fields that you want to,add in,from your signup form uh what images you,want over here,to stay on brand what color you want the,subscribe forum,and you can even go over here to the,layout and you can change the different,types of layout,i chose this one right here and,you can also go into style you can,change the fonts,you can change the colors the paragraphs,you can have small,medium and large font size all that good,stuff,the next thing we want to take a look at,is,the settings now this is where you get,into the how it's going to appear on,your website,so you have the overlake opacity which,is,what is hidden when uh this thing pops,up,how much of your background of your,website is hidden,when uh someone sees this pop-up so i,like to keep it around 65 so i wish they,would tell us the percentage here but,you have to guesstimate,so this would be zero this would be 100,so 50 or 65 is probably around there,then you can opt for when this thing,appears,i've tested it out at 20 seconds so,we'll keep that,and then you have two choices for,position you have the slide in,and you have the modal so notice when,you click slide you don't have an,opacity,setting so just keep that in mind so,that's the form,you also have the success message,and you can adjust that as you see fit,your only options at this point is to,add in a link,bold hi italic change the color,so you can change the color if you want,let's change it to a blue,and then let's highlight that and change,that to the blue,there you go you can change the heading,uh,notice you can't add any other options,here,and once a person sees this i think it,shows up for about five,seconds and then disappears uh if anyone,should click the x,say hey get rid of that pop up that,disappears for a year,so you're not going to see it that,person's not going to see it for a year,according to mailchimp if you're testing,this,and you click the x or you fill it out,you're go

Learn to easily add a Mailchimp signup popup to your eCommerce store

hi,i'm gary from organicweb.com and i'm a,mailchimp partner specializing in,mailchimp training and consulting,in today's tutorial i'm going to go,through,how if you have an ecommerce store,connected to mailchimp,how you can very quickly add a subscribe,popup in other words,someone will visit your store and a,subscribe,button or sorry not button modal or,pop-up will appear asking the person to,subscribe,it's incredibly simple to do if you've,already connected your woocommerce,presta shop magento,shopify and and so on um store with,with mailchimp let me take you to my,screen,so first off i'll just go across and,what i'm going to do in this,is add the pop-up to this what we call,this this,woocommerce test store,fortunately because it's already,integrated with mailchimp,we don't actually need to add any code,to the woocommerce site at all and i'll,show you this so let's go to mailchimp,so to create the popup that will show on,that test store,all i need to do is viewing my audience,i click,sign up forms,i'll just scroll down a little bit and,you'll notice here the subscriber pop-up,i'm going to click subscriber pop-up,because that's what i'm wanting to,create,i can design i can change various,different,things okay so first of all i could go,into style for example,change the font change the colors and so,on,i could go into layout and this is,self-explanatory where will image show,do you want it showing on the right hand,side on the left hand side,above do you not want an image and so on,and so on and so on okay easy enough but,i'll just leave that for now,but you can change it as you see fit,i'd go into settings change the opacity,uh when do you want it to,display after five seconds when a person,scrolls,even when they intend to exit your page,so that's nice and easy now just to let,you know that once you've created your,pop-up you can always come in and change,it again,and and save the changes that's very,simple to do,i'll come across to the main type of,screen here,and generally you would add an image,here and this is because i selected that,layout with the image at top at the top,you would set your image here or maybe,even add your logo that's up to you,but i'll click say sorry set image i'm,taken to my content studio where i've,added my files in mailchimp you could,add another file if you really want to,but let's say this is the image we want,i'm going to click on that,click insert and there we go,okay so that's the image now,if i want to i can click on the,subscribe to our newsletter,change the font as i see fit even change,the text you know,um get a 10 off coupon if you're going,to enable for example a customer journey,to automatically send a coupon when,someone signs up,if i click on email the field email that,is mandatory on the form,the email field is mandatory and,mailchimp,so it is required you could change the,label however and even add a description,if you really want to,you can also click the plus button to,add another field such as first

hello hello um the tutorial today for,short tip Tuesday is going to be how to,build your own pop-up within show it,instead of embedding it or using any,kind of a plugin it's actually pretty,simple and the only limitations are,really that it can it's not timed so,it's not timed as in like you can't set,it to pop-up up your certain time and,you can't really set it as an exit,intent popup it's going to be shown,based on when your user Scrolls on to a,certain campus so let's get started so,whichever page you are wanting to add it,to you let's go ahead and add a blank,canvas here at the bottom you can go,ahead and build it design it out however,you'd like I'm doing a but I'm going to,build something extremely simple today,just for the sake of this tutorial but,obviously you can get however creative,you'd like so I'm going to go ahead and,do that see here we'll do colorful today,this is a pop-up I'm going to grow,a for example like a a an embedded form,you can put those on there which is,great for like a newsletter signup I'm,gonna grow go grab one of those off up,here just for the sake of showing you,that's pretty small there we go,this guy down so you definitely can,integrate embeddable things in your,pop-ups as well it's basically just,another canvas and we're gonna make the,background not have any background at,all and then we're going to make it,hidden to start over here and then,select when we want it to pop up so,that's kind of the thought process,behind this I'm going to add an icon to,make it so that the user can X out of it,and I'm just gonna make this way alright,now so now we've designed our basic,pop-up this is how I want it to look,it's not super fancy but it will work,for the sake of this tutorial so the,next thing I'm going to do is either,drag this all the way up so there's,nothing below it or you can change this,initial height to 1 the next thing I'm,going to do is set my stacking order to,10 or whatever is higher than anything,you have on your site because we want,this to overlay on top of the entire,site when it pops up the next thing I'm,going to do is have this sticky to top,and then make it hidden to start because,I don't want this showing up right away,when people first go on the site I want,to wait until they scroll down a little,bit and then it's going to pop up,obviously you can do this on mobile too,I haven't done this on mobile,but it's the exact same idea you would,just create this on mobile and then make,the settings the same so next I am going,to go up here and select which canvas I,want this to pop up on so I'm going to,have this pop up here so I'm going to,select this canvas and then I am going,to select scroll actions so now I want,to trigger on screen I'm going to show a,canvas and I want to show this new,canvas so I'm actually going to set it,oopsies I'm not actually going to name,it pop-up okay so let's do that again,here select pop-up you can have it,trigger only once or you can have it,trigger anytime they roll o
