guys welcome back to yet again a very,highly requested video which is how to,make lookalike audiences on facebook so,first of all let me just help you guys,identify,which look-alike audiences you guys,should be using because there are two,types of look-alike audiences,and you guys should know the difference,between them and how to use them in,different situations all right so,let's first of all hop into the ads,manager right now so this is our ads,manager this is a brand new ads manager,account which i'm going to scale,to the mood after chinese new year so,it's completely new but i have an old,pixel,which is warm so i'm going to really,just straight off the bat,a skill to the moon so first of all when,creating look-alike audiences let's go,here,to business tools on the left side click,on that and click,on audiences all right so this will take,you to,another page where it allows you to,create custom audiences look-alike,audiences,all of that good stuff so as you guys,can see i've already created four custom,audiences for the purpose of this video,so um uh here it says the availability,is all ready but,just a tip for all of you guys out there,do not start creating your lookalike,audiences,uh unless um the size is determined by,facebook so as you guys hover over this,it says the audience sizes will be,determined in two to three days and it,takes facebook a bit of time to gather,the population of those audiences so,i've tested before,if you make look-alikes um when this,size is still pending it doesn't perform,as well,as if the audience sizes were already,determined so maybe it might say like,few thousand or a few hundred but,i don't recommend creating look-alike,audiences if you only have a few hundred,events,and this applies to purchase as well,because i've tested 100 purchases,which is ideally the minimum event count,to make a lookalike audience for the,purchase action,but i don't really make purchase,look-alike audiences until i get a,thousand purchases,and unless my pixel actually really,knows you know,what the ideal audience is what we want,to do first is first of all create a,custom audience all you do is just click,on create audience,create a custom audience and click on we,can either you know click on video you,can click on website depending on what,you want your look like audience to be,so let's say you have a lot of 50 or 75,or even 95 video views maybe maybe above,50 000,uh those events you can click on video,and you know you can choose your video,you can first of all you can choose,which one you want so ideally you want,95,because those will you know cover that,will encompass,more of the engaged people who actually,stay to the end of the video and might,create better converting audiences so,i'll go for that,and you know just click on choose videos,i'll usually do past,maybe 45 days to 60 days and just name,your audience like,uh 95 or 95 vv,that's 95 video views for me because i,don't want to be typing this every time,because it you know

all right in today's video we're gonna,be talking about how we can take the,lead forms and the lead ads that we,build and use the interaction on those,forms and ads and build new audiences we,can target in the future and also,leverage the activity of the existing,audience and their interactions and,continue to reach out and serve ads to,them in different ways based on their,engagement with the lead forms or,conversions and we're also gonna look at,creating look like audience on people,that have converted or not converted on,our lead forms so first of all we're,gonna go to the audience manager which,is always the first place that we start,when we're building audiences we build,the audience manager we did not build in,the ads builder I believe that's a very,strong best practice and I would highly,recommend that you do the same so we're,gonna create a custom audience here a,custom audience allows you to pull,audience data from a lot of different,sources so we have website traffic,customer file Instagram events you know,Facebook page and they have lead forms,here so I'm gonna hit the at the lead,form sky and when I hit the lead forms,guy I'm gonna get this interface okay so,this interface is basically my audience,building interface for my lead forms,there's a couple different options here,the first one is do we want to include,people who meet any of the following,criteria or who meet all of the,following criteria so if I hit this guy,so I'm gonna add a second piece of,criteria just to illustrate and for,conversation purposes and when I add,that one you'll see that this says or,okay,so basically we're saying we want anyone,who opened this form in the last 90 days,I'm gonna select a form now so we're,gonna do just the newsletter form or we,are want anyone who opened this form in,the last 90 days and we're gonna do you,know this console so this is or okay you,can also add multiple forms here in the,same in the same rule so this will also,kind of act as an or so basically you're,saying did they do this or this and then,you also have all which acts as an and,so they had to open one of these two,forms and they had to open this form and,so and is more restrictive it will,reduce the size of your audience because,you're layering more required,and some people that meet your audience,your audience profile or definition if,you will or is more inclusive you're,going to say they can do this or this or,this or this they have a lot of,different types of ways that can get,into my audience and or is going to,allow more people to get in so that's,this first section up here if you're not,really adding more section if you're not,really trying to get fancy with your,target you don't need to worry about it,too much I'm gonna delete this one for,now,so what we're what we're looking at is,and then you have the option of how,they're engaging with your forum so the,first one is anyone who opened the forum,so if they clicked it and open it that,it's kind of similar to a click o

hey what's up you guys my name is aaron,sidhu with market and hustle and in this,video i'm gonna break down what a,facebook ads,look-alike audience is and how to create,one,along with some tips to ensure that the,audience you create gives you the best,performance possible,so lookalike audience gives you the,capability to scale,your audiences on facebook and here's,one simple example let's say you have,for example an,email list of people who've purchased,from you let's say you have about 500,people,you can upload that list to facebook as,a custom audience,and then you can scale that so you can,tell facebook i want you to find,people that are similar that have,similar interests and characteristics,like the people who have already bought,from me and facebook lets you do that in,a few different dimensions,under look-alike capability now where,you're able to build this audience,in facebook's set of business tools is,under the audience,capability and if you're in ads manager,you're going to want to click,the business tools area on the top left,corner and then you want to look for the,audience shortcut,if you haven't found it in the top,you're going to want to scroll down,until you're able to find that,now once you're in here the first thing,you have to do is actually,before you can create your look-alike,audience is you need to create a custom,audience,so a custom audience could be basically,just,your emails from your existing,purchasers or it can be website activity,there's a few different things it could,be i actually made a video on this so,i'll link you,to to this but if you already have built,your,custom audience you can just find it,within here,and then you're going to want to build a,look-alike from that,so i already have one uploaded so i'm,just going to come over here,to look-alike audiences and show you how,you act can actually do that so the,first thing you have to select is your,source,list so the example i've gave you here,is using an existing email list,so i can just come down here and i can,actually type email,and i could do paid social this is,actually an email list i imported today,and these are people who have an,affinity with,paid social media they want to learn,about paid social media now the next,thing you have to do is you want you,have to select the region,that you're going to be in so i'm just,going to do united states because that's,where i,am and,now facebook knows what market it's,going to try to match,your existing audience list as it scales,up,now something that's super important is,the size of your audience,now you might think the bigger the,audience the better,not necessarily here's the difference in,these ranges,the range is closest to the left meaning,you're one percent you're two percent,you're three percent,are the audiences that share the most,amount of characteristics,with that initial audience you're,uploading so they're gonna,match your customers with greater,precision,now the downside is that there's going,to be

when you're using facebook ads to grow,your fan base on spotify one of the most,effective tools you have at lowering,your costs and increasing your results,is to create custom and lookalike,audiences now you can make audiences,based off of a lot of things but one of,the most effective combinations i have,found is to create an audience based off,of your instagram engagement so today we,are going to create both a custom,audience and a look-alike audience based,off of my instagram account to show you,how to do the same thing with yours,now if you're new here my name's tom and,on this channel we talk about music,marketing branding and pretty much,anything else you can think of to help,us grow as artists in the digital age,now when you first start out advertising,using facebook hopefully to drive,traffic to spotify you're going to start,cold you're going to target people who,like spotify similar audiences similar,artists all kinds of stuff like that but,as you go forward it makes your results,a lot better if you can take that data,you gather and then put it into custom,audiences based off of specifically the,people who are engaging with your,content,so when we hop into facebook the first,thing we're going to do is go to the,hamburger menu from the ads manager here,and go to audiences before we can create,a lookalike audience we have to create a,custom audience based off of something,with my instagram account so we're going,to go ahead and do that now you can see,i've got an ig engagement audience here,because it does take time to populate so,to create an audience like that we're,going to go to create audience and,custom audience and then you have all,these different sources you can use in,this case we're going to select,instagram account and click next now,once we're here you can see the source,is already selected it's my instagram,account and there are a few different,options of how we can go about creating,this audience now i'm going to leave it,with everyone who engaged with this,professional account so that's anybody,who has visited this profile took an,action on a post or an ad such as likes,comments saves carousel swipes button,taps or shares basically anybody who has,seen my instagram account at all and,engaged with it in any way shape or form,and this does include my ads that are,running on instagram now for audience,retention i like a 60-day window because,i feel like 60 days is long enough to,have a good pool of people but short,enough that people will probably have,some remembrance of having engaged with,my content and then we are going to give,this a name and we'll call it ig,engagement,60. and because i already have this,audience i'm not going to click create,audience but in this case you would,click create audience and then your,audience is going to be made,now once you've made your custom,audience it's going to take time to,populate because facebook has to pull in,all of these people that you have just,told it to search for and when it

so let's move on to the look-alike,audience builder we're here,in the look-alike audience builder,screen and,there are two different modes here,look-alike modes one,is called audience based and the other,one is called campaign,conversions now let's look at the,audience based mode,first because that is kind of the more,traditional mode,and if you're in a hurry and you want to,learn more about the campaign,conversions mode,then just scroll a little bit further,down to the middle of this video,and you'll find that section explained,there,all right so for the audience based mode,it's actually the easiest way to,to select a bunch of audiences and then,build look-alike audiences from them,is to go back to the audience list,window,and here you can just simply select a,bunch of audiences that you want to use,as base,audiences so an easy way to do this is,maybe to just filter them down so you,only show their custom audiences,here in this list and then maybe you,want to you know,maybe you want to narrow it down by a,certain keyword that you know is in the,name of the audiences you want to use,and now you just kind of click around,here and select some audiences that you,want to use as base audiences,and then the next thing is that you just,simply click on this button which has,now become enabled here,it says create lookalike audience from,selected so we're going to click on that,and you can see it takes us back over to,the look-alike audience builder screen,and you can see in the base audience,field here,this has now been populated with all of,the audiences that we've selected,in the audience list and you can also,select more audiences by clicking into,this field now and scrolling down the,list here,but depending on how large your,audiences are,how big your account is that you're,working with,this might be a very long list here in a,very long field,so you can also you know add here to the,selection from here,or take away by unchecking that so you,can do all kinds of things here as well,but if you already know that you've,selected the audiences in the audience,list,then you're done here and you're ready,to move on to the next settings,now the next setting here is the country,classification and that's simply,telling telling us telling trackify if,you want to combine the audiences,into the same look-alike audience or if,you want to create,separate look-alike audiences for each,country,all right so let's say we're going to,put in here united states,and let's say we're also going to put in,canada now i have two countries in here,so now it makes a difference right if i,select separate countries for each laa,then that means now i'm going to build a,separate audience look-alike audience,for,united states and then a separate,audience for,look-alike audience for canada okay,whereas if i combine them i'm just going,to create,one look like now i should qualify that,a little bit,because in this mode we're actually,creating,a separate look-alike audience for each,of the

what's up ecommerce Empire builders hope,you're having a good day this is a,follow-up video to the one from earlier,today where I kind of went over the,entire Facebook ad campaign strategy,literally for 2017-2018 moving forward,especially for e-commerce businesses,towards the end that video I started,talking about look like audiences and I,didn't and I mentioned I was gonna put,out another video about it well this is,it it's all about look-alike audiences,guys and this is a topic that most,Facebook really good Facebook ad,advertisers do not tell you about this,because I don't know why maybe they just,don't know about it but this is a super,powerful tool that not many people use,I'm not talking about look-alike,audiences I know a lot of people use,look-alike audiences but I'm talking,about actually the strategy on using,look like audiences I think a lot of,people do it wrong and waste a lot of,and a lot of money on this so let's get,right into it because I think showing,you guys this is a lot easier than just,talking about it so in the past video,you guys already know okay we have our,pageviews we have our purchases in the,sheet checkouts and ad cars by the way,this is a clients account in mine and I,cannot I'm obviously gonna have to blur,some things out here but besides the,point we have our page view purchases,initiate check out and Add to Cart so,you get we can see that they have you,know thirty seven hundred page view,fires they have three hundred purchases,they've got ninety initiate checkouts,not really using an issue a check out,for them and Add to Cart sixteen hundred,cool not bad not bad numbers at all,however what we can do now is I think,we've reached good numbers here remember,for the purchases I said between 250 to,500 - wait until you're around there,before creating a look-alike one percent,purchase audience so I already did that,here because I wanted to do it because,it usually takes about a half an hour's,whatever it is for these audiences to,populate but to make your look like,audiences if you don't know you just go,to create audience look like audience,you,choose your source and oh man I gotta,sneeze oh it's one of those weird,sneezes where you can't alright,sorry it was one of those weird season,you know where you really want to sneeze,but you can't and then in here you would,just select hey like your Add to Cart,custom audience location United States,or whatever you're doing and then 1% use,1% right now until you maximize that,audience as much as you can and then you,click create so since I've already,created my look like audience four pages,at the carts and purchases and they're,already you can see that we are at 2.1,million,size for each so here's the cool trick,that not many people know about or,really teach about if I click page you,it's like I see these audience its 2.1,million right and i see the add to cart,is 2.1 million right well don't you,think some of some of these people the,Add to Cart people might be in the page

what's going on guys and welcome back to,a new video for those of you that are,new to the channel,my name is josh with angle george a,social media marketer and online coach,and in this video you can watch me build,the best lookalike audiences,for your facebook ads campaigns,okay guys and welcome back to the video,so like i said in the introduction today,we're going to be looking at the best,look-alike audiences that you can use,you know for your social media marketing,campaigns whether that is for yourself,or for your clients you know how to set,it up and what is needed in order to set,up a successful,look-alike audience now for those of you,that,do have a pen and paper i know i've,heard quite a lot of you guys taking,notes,on my videos which i think is awesome,you know i do,try and provide as much value as,possible and for those that are actually,taking notes,the first thing i would write down is,that the quality,or the effectiveness of the look-alike,audience,does come from the source and what i,mean by that is,that if you are going to create a local,like audiences of,of someone that has i don't know seen,your ad,or someone that has been on the website,that is not going to be as effective,as for example a look-alike audience off,of people,that have purchased an item off your,store in the past,so that is just something that you need,to take into consideration and that,in my opinion if you are going to create,a look-alike audience,it needs to be of a very you know high,quality source and,there's no point in creating look-alike,audiences just for the sake of it,okay so all the gurus that say to create,a look-alike audience of,of people that have viewed content,people that have been on the website etc,just,in my opinion again you know this is,just something that i think,it's not uh set in stone but in my,opinion it is a bit of a waste of time,and i would much rather just continue,to you know test out different interests,and different audiences,rather than create look-alike audiences,of something that is not of a very high,quality,so in my opinion the best look-alike,audience,a bit of a spoiler here um i don't want,to you know just,make this video like 20 minutes long,just for the sake of it but in my,opinion,the best look-alike audience for,e-commerce,or to be fair in any other um you know,any other,store or anything like an info product,where you have purchases,is of course the customer list so the,list,of people that have purchased of,something of you previously whether that,is of your store,whether that is you know you're offering,coaching or you know you've got an info,product,and that you know that the customer list,of that so people that have purchased,that item that info product that,a product on your store that service,that is going to be the highest,quality audience so if you can create a,list out of that,then of course um that will be a much,higher quality list,and a much higher quality look-alike,audience then like i said website,visitor

hello my name is ryan ziegler and today,i'm going to show you how to upload a,custom,list to facebook uh this list could be,your email list or it could be an export,of all of your past purchasers but the,process is generally the same i'm also,going to show you how to clean up that,list so that it's acceptable for,facebook so the first thing you're going,to want to do is go log into your,business.facebook.com,then you're going to want to go up here,and you may see your audiences up here,in this section here,but if you don't if you click that,expand button you'll find audiences down,here so i've already clicked that and,you should be presented with a screen,that looks pretty similar to this if,you've uploaded,customer or custom lists in the past,you'll have some of those data some of,those data points here and some of those,actual lists here and when they were,created if you haven't this will look,totally blank,so next you're going to go to create,audience and go ahead and click custom,audience,here you're presented with a variety of,options go ahead and select customer,list,okay here it talks about how to prepare,your customer list you have a couple,options um they list out some of the,actual values that they're they accept,here such as email phone number,all of these uh depending on what,platform you're using to export this,list you may or may not have all these,data points it's pretty rare to have all,of them,um so don't worry about that you can,download a list template which will have,all the proper headers and everything,set up for you and you can then,manipulate your list to look exactly,like the actual template list,you could do this it's definitely time,consuming i'll show you kind of a quick,way to do this instead,there's some other guide you know,formatting guidelines and then here they,also talk about,uh the security and how everything is,private and how none of the actual data,you upload to facebook is reversible so,um you don't need to necessarily worry,about you know privacy concerns for your,customers,but if you want to learn more go ahead,and click that learn more button so,first thing i'm going to do is i,actually have a sample list here,customer data list that i've exported,and,i'll show you a couple common things,that you need to delete and couple,columns a couple common things that you,may want to reorganize so first and,foremost you're going to want to make,sure you have first name and last name,clearly indicated you're going to want,to make sure your email is there make,sure that if you have the phone numbers,for each person and that's great you can,go ahead and keep that column,i've included these kind of columns here,as well order id and order date now,these are typically what you're going to,get as an export when you export from,shopify or another e-commerce platform,um facebook doesn't really have a use,for these at this time so it's a good,idea to just highlight these and then,delete them next you're going to want to,make
