make it easy for customers to get your,products by setting up,local pickup customers can pick up their,online orders,at your retail store curbside or any,location that you choose,hey everyone i'm ali today i'm going to,take you through,how to set up local pickup in your,shopify admin don't forget to subscribe,and ring that notification bell for the,next video on how to fulfill pickup,orders,first things first you don't need a,retail storefront to offer local pickup,pickup can be anywhere you stock,inventory or fulfill orders local pickup,is available in your shipping settings,if you're eligible to use it,for a complete list of eligibility,requirements click the link in the,description,before you set up local pickup you need,to complete the following steps,first confirm that your location names,are easy to understand,and their addresses are correct,customers see these details at checkout,so make it easy to understand where they,need to go to pick up their order,next open each location and confirm that,the box,fulfill online orders from this location,is checked,otherwise pickup won't be available,back on the location settings page check,that your fulfillment priority is up to,date for example,we enabled fulfill online orders for the,los angeles retail store,since this location has low stock levels,we need to make sure that the los,angeles fulfillment priority is on the,lowest tier,this ensures that the locations with,more stock ship the online orders first,reserving stock for pickup orders in la,speaking of stock levels you need to,make sure that your products are stocked,properly at your locations,if a product is out of stock at a pickup,location then the pickup option,won't be available at checkout so make,sure your inventory count is up to date,next disable any pickup apps you have,installed,multiple pickup options will cause a,conflict at checkout and during,fulfillment,and finally make sure that any staff who,are packaging orders,have access to the shopify admin or pos,if you'd like some more information,on any of the setup requirements just,mentioned all of the help articles are,listed below,now that you're done setting up your,store you can activate local pickup from,your shopify admin,to start click settings and then click,shipping and delivery scroll down to the,section,local pickup you need to set up the,local pickup option for each location,that you want to have pickup click,manage beside the location you want to,enable,then select this location offers local,pickup,under information at checkout choose a,time frame from the drop down menu for,expected pickup times,select something that gives you or your,staff enough time to get the packages,ready,your customers see these details at,checkout so they have an idea when to,expect their order,next you have the option to enter pickup,instructions for your customers,in this example we're offering curbside,pickup in the instructions,we explain the procedure for picking up,orders and how we're mai

hey guys Rob here with flea market,flipper to bring you a very important,lesson we we sold this you guys might,remember we sold this this power,wheelchair last week was our trash to,treasure we ended up pulling this out of,the trash and then we ended up selling,it on eBay well we had some great,lessons to teach you guys when I,delivered this this was a local sale a,guy purchased it locally he he bought it,and then he paid for shipping so I,actually delivered it to him versus,paying a freight company to drop it off,he was only about thirty minutes away,from us so anyway anyways with that,being said when I got it over there I,made two trips to the guy's house the,first trip he told me I could come,anytime during the week the first trip I,went there he gave me his phone number I,called him never never picked up the,phone didn't come to the door didn't do,anything,I am why I was at the front door through,ebay i text him I called him and no no,answer so I ended up leaving but I kept,the unit I didn't want to drop it off,without actually getting ahold of the,guy and talking to him so I took the,unit back with me call the guy the next,morning and he says yeah I'm here that,just come back that day and deliver it,so I took it back I got it in the house,I pulled it in the house for him he,looked at it he says everything's,working on a right and I said no no this,was sold as parts or repair there you're,gonna have to have somebody look at it,and repair it because that's just how we,sold it so he goes okay we'll take it,back I don't want it they I thought it,was you know a good working power chair,so that being said I took it back I put,it back in the trailer and we drove off,but I was a little upset and this guy,was new to eBay this is I think was his,first purchase so you didn't really know,how the whole process worked which,you'll get those sometimes it's not a,big deal but there were two lessons in,this whole thing I took it back,I called eBay up on the phone and I said,listen I made two trips to this guy's,house he's thirty minutes away I had to,pay tolls to get there two times and it,took quite a bit of my time up to do,this to meet this guy so is there any,way I can keep the shipping for his,his problem when he bought it you know,he didn't look at the description see,there was four parts it wasn't us and,you can clearly tell this is not there's,no chair on the top these are the only,pictures I took of it I didn't take a,whole picture anything like that so I,said is there any way that I can charge,him for shipping,give him a refund for the item but keep,shipping and he they said yeah that's,perfectly fine we can do that so anyways,I refunded the money the price that he,paid for which was $4.99 and then I kept,the $200 for shipping for my time of,delivering the item so that's a great,lesson to learn some people might not,know that you can charge for your time,eBay will let you do that if you are,delivering something the other thing,that a lotta we get a

Setting up LOCAL PICKUP in Shopify!

friends cheryl Woodhouse here with,another Shopify tutorial today we're,going to be talking about a little-known,feature that Shopify has quietly,implemented that is really helpful right,now for physical stores slash retail,Merchants we're trying to move to,e-commerce due to social distancing and,the pandemic requirements so this is,local pickup for online orders using,this option you can let your customers,pick up their online orders at your,retail store or curbside or any other,location you choose you get to set the,address the only downside with this that,I have found is that you cannot choose,not to offer delivery you cannot do,pickup only and so I'm going to show you,a little bit what I mean I'm gonna pop,back into my super Deb store with my,Tyrannosaurus Rex t-shirts and all of,the other fun things that I sell in here,and I'm going to set this up to show you,how it works if we go all the way down,to the bottom under settings it's okay,so this isn't in your top left bar where,you would normally manage your products,or look at your analytics going all the,way down to your settings on the left,hand side and you're going to peak into,shipping now this is normally where you,would go to set up your shipping rates,your shipping labels all of these other,things okay but right now we're not,going to worry about any of that we're,gonna go all the way down to the bottom,below accounts and integrations and,under additional delivery methods you,will see local pickup give the customers,the option to pick up their online order,at one of your locations okay this is,incredibly simple to set up you just,click set local pickup set their,expected pickup time now for some of you,who are doing set pickup days and times,I recommend setting it in two to four,days and then give specific instructions,on one pickup as a bill,here you don't want to say five plus,days because people will be disappointed,you don't want to say in one hour,because they'll show up outside of the,scheduled time but for those of you who,are still operating with normal hours,but only allowing pickup in your store,or preferring to offer pickup at your,store you can set whenever your your,order will be ready okay and then here,you have 255 characters that you can use,to offer instruction so bring your,confirmation email when you come to,collect your order if you'll be asking,for a photo ID say if these are high,value items it's important for you to,specify that here so that everyone,brings their identification tell them,where to park what number to call to let,you know that they're there if you're,offering curbside pickup rather than,in-store pickup all the various things,that you want your customers to know,before they come to pick up their,products should be put here in the,pickup instructions I'm just going to,type hooray,for pickup because this isn't a real,store and we'll click enable pickup this,is just showing off my fancy address,here now if we go into the online store,I'm just gonna cl

if you set up local pickup for your,shopify store,and you're ready to start fulfilling,orders then keep watching,and if you're new to the channel hit,that subscribe button and ring the,notification bell for the most,up-to-date content,every week,hey everyone i'm ali i'm going to show,you what customers see when they select,the pickup option,on your shopify checkout and i'm going,to take you through the complete guide,for how to fulfill pickup orders,in the pos and the shopify admin to,fulfill pickup orders on the pos,you need to be using shopify pos pro,if you're using shopify pos lite which,is included in all shopify plans,or pos classic then you need to fulfill,your pickup orders in the shopify admin,let's get started with an example of,checkout on the alley athletics store,here the customer has two options to,have the item shipped,or to choose pickup right now the ali,athletic store has pickup enabled in,three,locations after the customer selects,pickup,they see the locations available and,they can select which location is most,convenient for them,because this t-shirt only has product,availability in san francisco,that location is the only option,displayed but,if we update this t-shirt's inventory at,the new york location,then the customer will see this option,at checkout too,it's important to remember that the,location for pickup only shows if,all of the products in that order are in,stock at that location,in this example the customer selects the,new york location,and sees the estimated pickup time,after the customer finishes checking out,they're sent the order confirmation,this tells the customer they'll receive,another notification when their order is,ready for pickup,here's an example of an email,confirmation,next it's time to fulfill the pickup,order on the shopify pos,just a reminder you need to be using,shopify pos,pro to fulfill pickup orders on the pos,i'll show you,two different pos fulfillment methods,today the first,is through the order section and the,second is a streamlined method,through the smart grid let's look at the,order section first,from the home page tap the menu icon,here you can double check which location,you're logged into to make sure you're,fulfilling from the right location,then tap orders to filter your pickup,orders,tap online under sale type,then under delivery method tap local,pickup,find the unfulfilled pickup order you're,looking for and open it,use the details on this page to gather,all of the items for the order,then tap ready for pickup if you have a,printer connected,you can print a packing slip to include,with the order when everything is,packaged and labeled,tap send pickup notification then tap,continue,your customer is then sent a,notification that their order is ready,for pickup,when they arrive find their order,through the global search bar,or the order section and tap to open it,if you printed the order's pickup slip,then you can also scan the qr code to,find the order,tap mark as picked up and th

What Is Ebay Local Pickup and Should You Try It?

hi guys welcome back to our channel my name is shay i'm a full-time reseller and poshmark ebay ,and makari i am tyler part-time seller on ebay makari poshmark and today's video is ,going to be a quick video i'm giving you a little bit of information on a feature ,we haven't really used before and from a poll i did neither of you ,yeah no one knows about this thing on ebay and we're gonna talk about it so before we ,get into it uh you have a t-shirt i do a t-shirt in dog beers i've only had one that that is fair ,uh dog people over here i know that from the comments a lot of you guys are dog people so ,leave the names of your dogs in the comments i want to say hello i also want to see photos but ,also don't give your dog's beer save that for yourself don't waste good beer all right so ,should we get right into it let's get started all right so what are we talking about today ,no nothing like that uh this is talking about the ebay local pickup program um so for me i ,don't know if you guys have had sales come through and you see the address on the label ,and you're like oh my goodness i just wish that i had no it's walking distance from your house ,and you're like i wish i could have saved myself and the buyer the five bucks yeah now if you're ,like me and you started off on poshmark and then you moved over to ebay you probably didn't even ,consider this as an option because poshmark does not allow this um if somebody asks you to do local ,pickup to avoid shipping fee you basically have to tell them no because as with all platforms ,you cannot take them off platform to complete a sale and that is also true on ebay so um ,however last weekend we had somebody reach out to us and they asked if we could do local pickup ,because they were really close by and i decided to just kind of google it to see i don't know ,if it was possible and it is possible so do you want to just explain what it is so ,what it is there's a way is in the back end of ebay to change your item to local pickup only ,i would imagine this is more popular for the big bulky not shippable items that would be ,cost prohibitive furniture and other things a car you're not gonna mail a car like that's not ,happening no really i don't think so no so ebay allows you to change it in the back end and then ,you just have to arrange a time and a place with the buyer and then from there the buyer gets a ,unique code or qr that you can scan or manually type in to verify that the pickup occurred ,and then it works just like regular ebay and from there after they pick it up it's ,uh goes straight to the rating the buyer and the seller yeah so i mean so you tried this out so ,he of course did the delivery for me because of social anxiety you know um and i mean how did you ,think the transaction we met 15 minutes from the house and i handed it over scanned the code and ,was done and in a matter of seconds and yeah the person was super nice

How to Do Local Pickup on eBay - A Tutorial, Plus Some Tips and Warnings

hey everyone caleb with the antique book,collective and today i'm getting to you,guys with how to do local uh pickup for,your ebay sales so for me i do a lot of,local pickups for some of the sets that,i do i actually just finished doing a,local pickup just yesterday for a very,very heavy set of magazines which if you,guys have watched my other videos that,was what i said would be my last set,ever but spoiler alert i just found,another set that i will be selling so,but that's not really what this video,but is about this video is all about how,to do the uh entire thing for local,pickup so right off the bat,when you're doing your local pickups if,you want to do them that is down in the,shipping details at the very bottom of,your ebay listing so here is a,screenshot,this screenshot is obviously of what it,will look like at the bottom of your,shipping details so once you get beneath,the calculated um shipping or you pay or,buyer pays all that sort of stuff once,you get under that and once you get,under the services it has a offer local,pickup thing so that local offer sorry,that offer local pickup thing is what,you will click you want it to have a,blue check mark on it and uh once you do,that it will be selected to have your,local pickup available so let's say,you've done all that and let's say you,sell your book and your buyer does want,to do local pickup that's where things,sort of get a little interesting so,ebay they just did a new thing that i,have never seen before so uh i guess i'm,seeing all these new things because i,had to take such a long time off but,this new thing was they had it so i was,supposed to like scan a code or put in a,code so when the buyer came i was like,hey so it looks like ebay just put this,thing out and the guy's like oh i've,never seen that before i've never heard,of that it's like yeah me either it must,be brand new and he's like yeah so i'm,like so think we could try to find that,out and he was going through and he,couldn't find it and i'm going to have a,screenshot at some point probably this,whole little talk here of what i was,seeing on my end of what it was asking,for,but this guy he could not find it and uh,the reason why ebay would want that as,far as i can tell is ebay wants,confirmation that the buyer actually got,the stuff like as you pass it on because,the thing with,local pickup is it seems like it's a,very easy system to sort of like game,and cheat on so,there is some risk involved with that,you do want your buyer to be like kosher,you want to like make sure that they,aren't going to say oh i never received,it when they did in fact receive it so,there is risk to be had there and there,are a lot of people that don't recommend,doing local pickup because of that,reason but i have not been burned yet,hope i'm not going to get burned ever,but i do offer local pick up for all of,my books especially the really really,heavy sets so all that said and done,though i could not get the guy to uh,me and the guy we could

hey guys did you just sell something,locally on eBay and you want to prevent,eBay local pickup scams this is a,question that we get fairly often,about people scamming people who pick up,items locally and the transaction didn't,or the shipping didn't go through eBay,so they just claim it and get the item,that's right guys we're robbing Melissa,with flea market flipper and we're gonna,give you some great advice to follow for,your next local pickup sale that you do,on eBay or if you're in the process of,doing one right now follow these steps,and you'll be able to make sure that you,are secure and you're protected by eBay,so eBay just came out a new new thing,new QR good yeah so that you can now do,this easily before we to prevent local,pickup scams you would have to go in to,your app and make sure the buyer said,they got the item we would always take,pictures of the license plates just to,make sure they like oh this is the,transaction happened we got pictures the,whole way yeah and now eBay just came,out with an app I'm in April of this,year that makes that all a lot easier,yeah in the past you guys it was very,very iffy if it was gonna if it was,going to work by local pickups because,you could not get you were supposed to,have the buyer email you why you were in,person stating that they were picking up,the item you're satisfied with the item,right excuse me,so that was how they said to do it the,hard thing was to get a buyer to,actually do that while you're doing the,transaction so now Eva came out with,this awesome new way of scanning a QR,code when you're sitting there with a,buyer to make sure that you're you both,are there you both have your phones you,scan the QR code and then it's done the,transaction is done it's completed you,can leave feedback they can leave you,feedback but it's just like a tracking,number you never had proof of shipping,or tracking number when you his local,pickups in the past a few things you,have to make sure that you do is when,you're selling the item and you might,not offer local pickup when you're going,through your listing you always have to,have the local pickup option clicked if,you're willing to meet somebody and have,them do local pickup with you so if it's,not clicked you will not get the option,or the buyer will not get the QR code,that you have to scan when you show up,or when they show up to pick up the the,items but you can,change that if a by our message to do,and says they're local you know then you,can go into your settings and change it,to local pickup so - as well not just,the local pickup to do both you know a,lot of our listings I do not set it for,local pickup just because I I mean I,just have never done that but if a buyer,does email me ahead of time and say do,you accept local pickup I told him yes I,do but now I actually have to go in and,revise the item before I do it so we can,get that QR code and we can do the,transaction with the QR code the way,that eBay wants it - the secure way yeah,we're

it's going to be on my ebay right yeah,it should be oh yeah that's right,because you need that uh,urlc code yeah basically it's a um,a qr code that you scan that just,confirms the pickup,today is tuesday november 16th and we,have three ebay orders going out today,first item we have going out is two of,these,frozen,light up melody microphones,pick these up on ra i believe i'm into,them for about,75 cents these sold for 21 16 and they,are going free shipping,it's wide enough should easily go out,first class,this next item going out happens to be a,thrift store item i just picked this up,last week,if you see my last thrift store video,these were in there i'm into these for,50 cents basically they're gray socks,with black labs,holiday socks they sold for 9.95,and they are going free shipping this,next item is another thrift store item,it's this cookie press,and decorating set,as you can see it is an older one there,is no date on it,picked this up for two dollars this sold,for 12.65 and the buyer is paying 9.30,in shipping today is wednesday november,17th and we have three ebay orders going,out today first thing going on is a,bible we have this james moffat,translation,the bible,picked this up at my local thrift store,i only paid a dollar for it this sold,for 1525,and the buyer is paying 445 in shipping,next item going out happens to be,another bible this one i actually,accepted the best offer of 11. i'm into,this for only a dollar at my local,thrift store it's the new layman's,parallel bible it does date back to 1981,so technically it is vintage did accept,the best offer on this for eleven,dollars,and the buyer is paying 571 in shipping,last item going out today is a set of 10,of these better home and garden fresh,cut fraser,wax melts,i'm into these for 10 cents each,ra clearance these sold for 26.95,and it is going free shipping,today is thursday november 18th and we,sold three items out of the ebay store,first item we have going out is this,under armour,shirt it is batman it's brand new,without tags so with t-shirts a lot of,times what i'll do,is all,main photo,i'll put the main graphic,as my main photo,so pick this up at my local thrift store,i'm into it for five dollars this sold,for 40 45 and the buyer is paying 5 30,in shipping the reason i said,we have three sales today,versus three orders going out today,is i sold this,sewing machine this thing is pretty,heavy and had 16 watchers on this,particular sewing machine i actually,picked this up from my guy that i do a,lot of my high bid pickups from he had a,lot of items that buyers didn't pick up,but they paid he just wanted to get rid,of it and this was one of them i think i,paid him a total of twenty dollars for a,bunch of stuff,this happens to be one of the items,so cost of goods into this maybe three,four dollars,this sold for 80.96,and the buyer is doing a local pickup,now the pickup is not until saturday,around noon,and if it's okay with the buyer,i'll go ahead and film and include it in,on

Woocommerce - How to Hide Checkout Fields When Local Pickup is Selected

woocommerce has a nice local pickup,shipping option,but there's a small thing which always,annoys me,and that is that if i pick the local,pickup i still have to fill,all those fields what i mean by that,if i choose a local pickup then there is,no need for town and,county and postcode and whatever fields,they are,i think there are only couple of fields,which needs to be filled,when local pickup is chosen for example,take a look at this if i choose local,pickup,only name phone and email nothing else,so in this video i'm going to show you,how to accomplish that,on your site let's start with the basics,let's go to the woocommerce and shipping,settings,as you see currently i have only two,countries,i allow shipping it's united kingdom and,united,states and this zone has only courier,and free shipping option,i'm going to add the local pickup option,also,let's open up the zone at shipping,method,and choose local pickup add,shipping method here now go to the,checkout page,and as you see nothing happens if local,pickup is chosen,that's because we need to add a small,code snippet to the,functions php file or beta red in the,code snippets,plugin the code i'm going to show you,can be found in the description of this,video,but in order to add this code i'm going,to install a plugin called code snippets,therefore go to plugins add new,and search for code snippets install and,activate it,and after that you'll see snippets menu,on the left click on add new,and now paste the code in inside this,box here,give it a title for example hide,shipping fields for,local pickup if it's done,choose only run on site front end and,save changes and activate let's go to,the,checkout page again refresh it and see,whether it worked,as you see nothing happened and it's,because we have to,tell the code what is the actual value,of this local pickup,option here what i mean by that,is take a look at this here it says,that shipping method pickup is local,pickup,2 let's see what number this one here,has,in order to do that right click on the,local click,pick up choose inspect,and now take a look at this value here,local pickup 4 as you see there is value,written here,and this local pickup 4,i'm going to change the two here,i had four if this one here is changed,you have to go here and scroll to the,bottom and also,change this one here now let's save it,refresh the page,and as you see most of the fields are,hidden,but there is still still one field state,how can i hide this one also,you have to go to this row here and you,can add,or remove the fields you want to hide or,show,currently i'm hiding the company country,postcode,address 1 2 and city fields if i want to,hide the state field i'm going to add,billing state here,save changes refresh,and there you go if i choose courier,then as you see all fields are are there,if i,choose local pickup only the ones i want,to show,are there if you want to,hide some field for other shipping,methods,you can basically use the same method,just copy the
