Shopify Local Delivery | Set up Local Delivery for your Business

how's it going people jeff here from,econ geeks today we're going to be,talking about how to set up local,delivery for your online store,let's get started so before we get into,actually setting up local delivery there,are two things that we have to make sure,are properly set up,first things first we're going to go to,our settings and then we're going to go,to locations,as you can see i have three different,locations here two of them are retail,and one of them is a warehouse,in this example let's say that i needed,to set up local delivery for my,vancouver retail store,so first off i want to go into that,store and next i want to ensure,that the box fulfill online orders from,this location is checked off,without that people won't be able to,order online they'd only be able to pick,it up in store from browsing themselves,the other thing that i want to make sure,is that the location name is something,that's applicable so that customers know,the location and what type of store it,is whatever is applicable to your,business because customers will actually,see this at checkout,so it's very important that you make it,clear to them now that we've done that,let's go back to the previous screen,on this page the other thing that i have,to check is to make sure that my,warehouse is the primary fulfillment,location,as you can see all your locations are,listed here at the bottom,you can see that i have my retail store,in calgary at the top,my warehouse in the middle then my,vancouver retail at the bottom,now i want to ensure that as many online,orders that i receive,are going through my warehouse as,opposed to my retail stores,if i have my retail store first then,online orders are going to be put here,first,and i'm probably going to run out of,stock fairly quickly at one of my retail,locations,to change this simply click on edit,fulfillment priority,in this page i'm going to actually grab,my warehouse and drag it to the top,click save and there we go when people,place orders online regardless of,whether that's pickup delivery or,most likely just online then all the,orders are going to try to be sent,through the warehouse first,the next step we have to do is we have,to go to our apps,within your app you have to make sure,that you add the app called,shopify local delivery now this app is,free and it's actually created by,shopify so there's no monthly cost or,anything associated with it,since the app is installed now we can go,on to our next step,click on settings and then shipping and,delivery,if i scroll down here i can actually,find local delivery,you can see that i've already set up my,category store to have local delivery,but i've yet to set up local delivery,for my vancouver store,let's go into there and click manage as,you can see i need to check off the box,that says this location offers local,delivery,after i do that i'm provided with a lot,of different options the first thing is,very important,you need to define how far away you are,willing to deliver a pr

An Intro to Shopify's Local Delivery app

hello my name is andy i'm the chief,operating officer of an e-commerce,agency called venturestream,and today i want to show you a little,bit um,about a shopify new feature called local,delivery um well it's not actually a new,feature it's a kind of a new,app that supports the logo to every,function um,so i'll just go through it we've got a,bit of a demo here um,uh and i'll show you how it works so the,prerequisite to this,is a few things in shopify one,is um having the local delivery,shipping method enabled and the,collection method enabled if you want,uh and the other is the local delivery,app which i'll come on to,so in order to enable the local delivery,function within shopify ie,you know i run a shop can you deliver,things in a low car close to me,you have to enable the look of the free,shipping method and to do that you just,go into your shopify store in the,settings,and as you might imagine there's a bit,called shipping and delivery,this is where you control your normal,shipping rates to kind of the uk and,across the world,um and you can also enable local,delivery for different locations now you,see here we've got our adventure stream,office here,and we've also got a fulfillment house,so kind of our friends over at whistle i,just put them in there as an example you,might have an office that you,store some stock at and kind of add me,in your business,and you might have a fulfillment partner,that is a kind of performed house that,ships out goods,um but in order to enable local delivery,you need to enable it at a location,so if i go into there this one's already,enabled but i'll kind of talk you,through the setup,um you just click this location off as,local delivery and you'll either set a,delivery radius,of 10 kilometers miles what have you uh,or just use postcodes so you can be very,specific if,your kind of local area has a bit of a,funky geographic layout you can paste,posters into here,you can set a delivery price and you can,set a minimum order price,um you can set a little message to,appear in the checkout which you'll come,on to,but for this type for this i'm just,going to enable it to most kind of,relatively local any postcards i'm not,even sure it goes that high to be honest,i'm going to have a charge of 1.50 and,i'm going to click save because i didn't,really do anything,now in our demo store here i'm just,going to add this cool iphone case blue,to show you what it's like,and go through the checkouts basically,this local delivery function will then,appear as an option in the checkout if,if it meets the customer's requirements,if i can type so you see here uh because,i have enabled,collection as well it lets me pick up,the goods if i want to but for now i'm,going to click ship which either means,just ship it to me at my house or,um ship it to me locally so i'm just,going to,ignore that put that one to,i did prepare this earlier any one,for st,and then when i go through my shipping,methods here it's going to know that,it's the only one

How to setup the Local Delivery/Local Pick-up Feature in Shopify 2021

hey guys,thank you for joining me my name is,carrie with core marketing group,your shopify experts and today we are,talking,about local pickup and,local delivery options with shopify so,this is a feature that was recently,rolled out probably i want to say three,or four months,ago and it's super simple to set up so,i'm gonna do a quick walkthrough,on how to set it up and the different,customizations that you can do,so first thing you wanna do is you wanna,navigate over to your settings,and we're going to hit locations so the,main thing is you want to make sure your,location,information is correct so you can add up,to eight locations,even more if you have a bigger plan but,this will allow you to be able to,specify which,location that you want to offer pick up,and delivery from so if you needed to,change your,information this is usually set up when,you first set up your shopify site,it's going to take the address that you,put in so if you need to update this,location you would do so here and then,just go ahead and say so then we're,going to go back over to,shipping and delivery under settings so,you're going to see this local delivery,option so we're going to hit,manage and we're going to click that it,does offer,local delivery so you have a couple,different options you can set it,on a delivery radius so say we want to,be able to deliver within 20 miles from,our location okay and say the minimum,orders,five dollars,um gonna remove and then the delivery,price i don't know,is two dollars right and then if you,want to do conditional pricing you can,do,orders from five dollars up or an,additional cost so if we did five,dollars to,um you know 10,and then so if it's a larger item then,it's you know free,free delivery okay and then you can put,your delivery information here,and that's going to go out in their,order confirmation notice,the other options is to use the zip code,so you can,implement specific zip codes you want to,be able to deliver to,and there's also an option to include,like neighboring states or regions,so i'm going to hit save,and then so when we go to our,website i've got my item in the cart,and if i go to checkout,based on the information that i have i'm,going to get the local delivery as an,option,so then it will ask the customer to put,in their mobile,number and then if there's any delivery,instructions that are optional like drop,off by the door,or if there's a gate code to the,community that can be used and then,they'll continue to payment,so that is how you set up local shipping,super simple super easy,so we're gonna go back over here i'm,gonna leave this local delivery,and now we're gonna go over to local,pickup kind of the same process,you click on it you activate it and,you're going to have the options for,information at checkout,so your expected pickup time can,be whatever you want it to be so we're,going to choose like four hours,and this is the location that they can,pick up to remember if you have more,than one location you c

Doing Local Cargo Van Deliveries (A DAY IN THE LIFE)

grand rising youtube,it is early this morning man the cargo,fan man coming with another video,y'all,so i got these three water deliveries,today,it's so funny that like i talked about,communication yesterday,and then today like,i i love this lady she's cool she's,awesome and uh but man,she totally up the communication,i got three watered uh palette,deliveries today i told her kind of what,i wanted how i wanted him to go,and what i did not want to do and she,said yeah perfect gotcha and then she, did the exact thing that i,didn't want to do,so like,i was trying to save myself from driving,all the way down to tucson to pick up a,pallet of water to then come back up,north like that makes zero sense,why i would ever do that,why would i drive 45 minutes past my,drop-off location,when i can pick up a pallet of water,here in the valley,but she did that,so it's like yo you just added an hour,and a half to my day right and then this,other delivery uh i was picking up 11,minutes away from it right now she's got,me picking up in gilbert to take up to,north phoenix and it's like yo there's,other places i could have picked that up,too,like,she's in the philippines so she don't, know phoenix,but like when i tell you,what i need done you know i'm saying and,like what would be best,like communicate that with me if you,can't get it if if the place is closed,let me know right but uh they're not,closed but like they don't have anything,they don't have any uh palettes then,just let me know but uh yeah man,she just text me let's see what she says,because i haven't heard from her this,morning well well well,just got over here to the draw earth,drop off the pickup location uh for this,first pallet of water they should be,opening up in like 15 20 minutes so got,here a little early,um,yeah man so my contact on the water,deliveries uh called me uh like i said,uh while i was uh,actually she texted me and then she,called me,but we got it all figured out man you,know,they're understaffed right now she was,working on the weekend and wasn't really,fully focused on work and i think she,just kind of,briefly looked over my my text that i,had been sending her and,so that's why they didn't get the orders,placed the way i asked them to do it and,kind of, it all up logistically speaking,it was a it was a mess it just like,logistically made zero sense still kind,of doesn't make sense but,whatever,um,but yeah man so that's what that is and,uh,you know i don't have to head down to,tucson now so that's sweet um i,can pick up,that palette of water in chandler,and then just shoot down uh to the,drop-off location but the drop-off,location is like 45 minutes closer than,tucson,so why would i drive an hour and a half,you know i mean to come back 45 minutes,just doesn't make sense right so,um grateful they fixed that,and uh man,it's been a fun morning,on a super positive note though,yesterday was the super bowl right,and uh you know honestly,neither team was uh you know my team,uh,so it was sti

How to Set Up Pick-Up and Local Delivery | WebSell

hi and thank you for joining us for a,special screencast demonstration of,pickup and delivery also known as Click,& Collect we understand that due to the,closure of many brick-and-mortar stores,you may have an immediate need to set up,pickup and delivery methods on your,online store I'll be demonstrating the,steps to implement pickup and delivery,with specific times and distances if,needed,the first step is to decide the windows,of time you'd like to offer for example,if you're offering pickup you might want,to offer different options for every,hour of the day whereas if you're,offering delivery you may want to,restrict it for just a couple times a,day so in this demonstration I'll be,creating pickup options for 3 hours a,day and local delivery AM and PM time,slots only next to begin implementing,these there are a few features we need,to enable before creating our methods in,the description below you'll see a,checklist of settings and I'll just,complete mine now so here you can see my,demo store I'm going to go to settings,all config options we're gonna want to,enable a date selector which is a,standard feature right here an able,shipping date selection at checkout so,that's gonna add a date selector on the,checkout page that it's gonna allow the,customer to either they'll choose,whatever did if they plan on picking up,this will impact what times are,available for them you can exclude days,if you're not going to exclude any days,I would just put something in there like,a comma and save it so the next big,question is this option beneath it allow,selection of today in shipping day,calendar so if you need 24 hours to put,these orders together before they can,pick them up then you don't want to,enable this but if you want someone to,be able to order today and pick it up,today you want to choose this option and,don't worry about how soon they might,come and pick it up we're gonna take,care of that in a minute another thing,you'll want to do is set your store,timezone and if you would please note,that when you set your store timezone it,does not account for daylight savings,so you'll want to approach this like you,would a clock in your home where you're,gonna want to change it each time the,time changes each year so I'm going to,go ahead and set the store timezone,excuse me with respect to delivery if,you're going to do delivery we do offer,integrations with some third parties the,best of which is Bing,so the Bing Maps integration again in,the description area below I'll provide,a link with how to get a free Bing Maps,API key this will allow your webstore to,figure out how far away a customer is,based on their address from your store,and therefore you can calculate what,they'll they'll bill be charged for that,delivery or you can stop the the,delivery from going if it's outside of,your delivery area so I've just pasted,in an API key and I've saved it there,the other thing you want to do with Bing,depending on where your business is,located is set the t

Hi, today we're going to review the buyer experience,for delivery orders through Square online store.,So to start with, I'm at the location modal.,And I've selected delivery.,And you'll see that we are reinforcing,if there's any delivery minimums required for this order,,or is there any delivery fees required for this order.,So this is a great way for your customers to understand,what your delivery order minimums are,,or what your standard delivery fees are.,So I've already put in my address, so on click see menu.,And this is a multilocation seller.,And so what we do is we take the customer to the closest location,to that address for the delivery order.,You can see we're reinforcing the address here,,we have delivery beginning today at 7am.,And the estimated delivery time is 35 to 45 minutes.,Now, as reminder,,this delivery time is a combination of South markets prep time,,plus their delivery window.,So South Market has a 15-minute prep time,,and they have a 20 minute to 30-minute delivery window.,So you can see we've combined those two times here.,So we're combining the prep time and the delivery window time,that you configured in Square online store.,And that gives us this total here.,So I'll place my order.,And now the slideout cart appears, we have delivery to 120 West Jefferson,,I have no contact delivery, listed here.,Because as the seller has enabled no contact delivery.,So that's great. I see that reflected in the cart.,And here's my delivery window,,it's going to arrive today between 7:35 to 7:45am.,Great, so I'll check out.,And I'll begin by putting my details in.,And I'm going to tick this box because as a reminder,,if you've enabled text messages,,your customers will receive a text message of their order confirmation details.,And you'll see we're reinforcing the delivery address,120 West Jefferson Avenue, Naperville.,So I'll click Next.,Okay, so this is the delivery section,,it's reconfirming that my order will arrive between 7:35 to 7:45am.,I've requested no contact delivery.,And there's an opportunity here for your customer,to leave some instructions.,So for example, I'm going to put here,please leave at the front door.,Okay, and now click Next.,So these are the standard payment details.,I did want to show you over here though on order summary,,if there was a delivery fee, it would be listed right here.,And if there was an order minimum, if I hadn't met it,,the cart would not have let me get to this page,,the cart would have told me I needed to reach the order minimum,before I could come to this checkout page.,Okay, so I'm going to use a coupon today,so that we can quickly scroll through this section.,Very good.
