Let's move on to the first section of GO Product Page Gallery + Zoom

Dawn to Debut Product Page with Zoom Feature - No App needed

Dawn to Debut Product Page with Zoom Feature - No App needed

hi everyone in this tutorial we're gonna, transform our dawn team to the view team,so i've heard a lot of comments, regarding the dawn product slider, and i know,it has a lot of problems but this one i,don't think you're gonna have one,so what we have here is not just a plain, product slider for dawn, what we have here has the two good, things about debut team one is the, slider two is the zoom feature so when, you hover on the large image it has a,zoom feature on it and i took off the, model for, dawn team, and i added some features on it so the, thumbnails can call the large image and, then also the slider works,as usual i don't have a number or a,counter right here, the radio buttons works as well so when, you click on this one it should call the, thumbnails and also the large image so,like here too and then, whenever the, image is attached to the variants or the, radio buttons it should call it,and not only that when you go to your, customizer you should be able to change, the, image like i have multiple size of image, right here i added a picture that you,can change it to square so all of them, has the same size, and it should work the same way, before we start don't forget to,subscribe, first,we have to go to our online store,go to teams we're not going to edit our, live team but if you do want to edit it,you can click actions and then duplicate, your code and edit that duplicated team, what i have here is addon that is not, customized yet so we'll use this one so,click actions and then edit code, and then let's make our screen bigger so,click this button right here,so we need to go to our section folder, and then we're gonna look for main, dash product,so mean dash product liquid, and then we're gonna go to our website, and copy this code just click to copy, and then we're gonna erase, this whole code right here so ctrl a to,highlight and then delete it and ctrl v,to paste and then click save, now we have to go to our,css folder so we need to add our css, file so we're going to close the section, and then we'll go to asset and we're,going to add a new asset and create a,blank file, and this one we're going to call, product, dash slider and then add a new asset, and then let's locate our product, dash slider here and, open it,so here so we're gonna go to our website, again, and we're gonna go scroll down,so you know that you already copied it,because it turns blue, and then when you hover it should be,pink and then click this one to copy, and then paste this code right here ctrl,v to paste and then click save, almost done last thing we have to do is,go to our global.gs,so down here in the asset folder we are, still in the asset folder,we're going to go find the global.gs,and we're going to look for slider ctrl,f and go for slider component so we have,it here, now we're gonna go to our website again,so we're gonna go scroll down, and then we're gonna copy this code this,is a very important call so don't forget,to copy this, copy, and then,we're gonna paste it,after the next button so,right here ct

Image Zoom Effect | Product Gallery

Image Zoom Effect | Product Gallery

hey what's going on guys so in this, video I'm gonna be building in this, image zoom effect right here for our, product gallery so we can go into one of,these images flip between this gallery, and zoom in on whatever products there,so it's gonna be a cool little feature, you can add to an e-commerce website or,anything like that so I'm just gonna, build that in in this tutorial and, before I do I'm actually working with a,source code from a video that I did, before where we built in this gallery, right here so we're gonna have the final, code and I'll also link up the source, code and the link to that video if you, want to start there so before I get into,it let me try to explain the concept of,what we're gonna do how this is gonna, work and then I'm gonna recap the code, and then we'll just get right into, coding it so right now if you look at,this image right here we have this lens, right here that's being tracked by the, browser so whenever I move the mouse the, browser is actually gonna track my mouse, moves and it's gonna figure out where I,am on the screen and where I am on the, image now the lens itself that you're,seen is actually positioned in a div, above the image so let me pull up a,quick picture for that try to show you a,diagram so this is what's happening I'm,gonna show you the original and then the, code with it so right now we have our, featured image that's what you're seeing, displayed whenever we navigate through, that browser and we have our lens right, here so we have the featured image and,we have this empty div all within the, container that I wrapped right here now, what we do is we take the image that's,in this picture and then we set that, image as a background to whatever is in,the lens right now so the lens will take, that full image stick it in there and, then we're going to decide the, positioning depending on whenever we,move around here we're gonna take this, lens right here move it down to the top, left corner and then as I mouse hovers, over it that lens is gonna read where we,are and move the position of the actual, div and change the background position,so it's gonna look like a resuming in,but really what we're doing is we're,gonna zoom in on the duplicate of it and, just track the mouse position so I hope, that makes a little bit of sense I'm,gonna go ahead and just get right into, coding it and maybe I'll make more sense,as I build it so this is a new concept, for me I just learned it so if you do,have a better way of doing this the code, here works,it's something that I'm actually using, but if you have a better way let me know,I'm always open to ideas and even making, another video on this if I learn, something new so go ahead let me know,I'm always open to criticism or just a,new idea so let's go ahead and just, recap my code so I'm gonna close out the, demo so right now we have the lens and,we are gonna work with this one so this,is the starter code and all we can do is,navigate through it so what we want to,do is put that lens above here so we,hav

Phoenix - Hook - Product Image Zoom

Phoenix - Hook - Product Image Zoom

hey everybody welcome to another, tutorial, this time we're going to do a quick, simple hook for a product image zoom,so basically when you're on the product, page of your store, you can hover over an image and it would, zoom in,to give your customers a better view of,what you're selling,we're going to use the jquery zoom, plugin to accomplish this, you can utilize any zoom javascript, library, using this method but i'm only going to,show this particular one,and i've already taken the time to ahead,of this video, read up on how to implement this so if,you're interested,in the details of some of the things i'm,coding you can come and read,up on the options of this particular, plugin i will add a link to this,in the video description so let's get, started,so we are going to want to create a hook, and we want to put that hook, into the bottom of the website,so if i scroll down to the bottom i got,my closed body tag here,i want it as low in the bottom of the, dom,as i can get it because jquery is loaded, right here and i want to make sure that,my,libraries for what i'm building are, below, the loading of jquery to make sure that, everything lines up and works correctly,if i was to load it above this jquery, wouldn't yet be loaded, and it would throw errors unless i got, really creative so,so we'll go and we'll download this, now all i need for this example is the, jquery zoom minified js you could also, use the non-minified version if you, prefer i don't need the rest of the, files for this example,so i'm just going to copy that, now the ext folder is where you normally, put extra, javascript files and stuff for your, projects it's just the easiest place to,find, things and it keeps all of those types,of files together so i'm going to create,a new folder in here,i'm going to call it zoom i prefer to,keep everything kind of segregated into, projects, keeps everything nice and clean and that, way if i'm deleting stuff i can easily, find it,throughout my directory structure i,could have thrown this file into the, jquery folder, but if future updates to the core, require us to delete that jquery folder, then it would also delete my zoom plugin, which would not be,what i would want so i'm creating my own, folder for this javascript,i'm going to paste it i'd copied it from, the previous screen there,so now i've got that file in there so,we've got the library ready to use,now we just need to decide what hook,we're going to target,so the hook i want to look for again is,as low on the, page as i can get it so if i go under, templates default, includes components these template, bottom and template top are,are the most important hook files, out of the entire core they have most of,your common hooks, that are loaded at the top of the page,in the bottom of the page, they kind of wrap every page in the, front end of the site so if i go to the, bottom, and here i can see my closed body tag,the inject body end,is about as close as i can get to that, closed body tag,so this is what i'm going to target so,i'm going to co

How to Customize your WooCommerce Product Image Gallery

How to Customize your WooCommerce Product Image Gallery

hello James here from ICONic and I,wanted to show you how you could easily, customize the product image gallery in,your WooCommerce store so here we've got,the storefront theme and this is the, default gallery that you see once you, install the theme and get some products, imported so it works but you're limited,in terms of what you can do you can't,customize it really without having some, kind of code knowledge whether it's CSS,or JavaScript or some PHP to manipulate,it in a way that you see fit,so this is where our booth Arms plug-in,comes in if i refresh the page now this,is the same page but with our with, thumbs plug-in installed and activated,so you can see it looks similar in,layout it's a little bit cleaner the, thumbnails are better sized and the, great thing is that all of this is,customizable so for example if you, wanted to move the thumbnails up to the, left hand side or even above the picture,or to the right hand side it's as easy,as changing a few settings you don't,have to have any code knowledge at all,to be able to do that so if we come to,the back end the first thing you'll see, after installing we thumbs is the, onboarding modal which is basically a,few simple steps and it takes you, through an easy way to configure the,plug-in as soon as you've installed it,so let's say we want the thumbnails to,show up on the left hand side we'll,continue we want the transition between, images to be a fade transition and we'll,save those settings now when we load the, page again you'll see the thumbnails are,now on the left hand side of the image, and when we change image it's a fade, transition,so you saw how simple that was literally,in a few seconds we had a completely, different gallery setup but that's not,all you can do if you come back to the, settings page you have all of these, settings you can play with see if the, gallery doesn't quite fit how it should,in your theme you're able to customize, that the default width for storefront is,42% and as it goes down to mobile it,will stretch the gallery to 100% on top,of that you can change the icon colors, choose whether they display all the time, like they are currently or whether they, only show on hover you can enable icon,to tooltips so if I save that and, refresh we get a little prompt that says, what the icon is for, another great features that you can, quite easily customize the image sizes,so visually here the images will mostly, look the same but the actual size it's,loading in is quite important in terms,of page speed and that can all be,configured here with with a default with, commerce setup you can't do that very, easily especially when it comes to,changing the thumbnail sizes obviously, you can set the width and you can set,the crop ratio for them and then you can, also choose what size image is used when,we zoom we then have the carousel, settings so you can choose the mode as,you saw in the original onboarding so,you can have it horizontal so the images, will slide sideways vertical so the, images will slide u

UPDATED: Fully Customize Product Pages in Wix Store - Part 1: Dynamic Pages From Products Collection

UPDATED: Fully Customize Product Pages in Wix Store - Part 1: Dynamic Pages From Products Collection

hi I'm Ethan and welcome to Wix with, notice the change in name there and, today I'm going to be revisiting the, topic of custom product pages using Wix,code because of your request for me to,kind of go a little more in depth on,some of the topics that I touched on on,the previous tutorial in general we're,going to be taking a slightly different, approach to creating the custom product, pages here which I think might be a,little more efficient than what I showed, you in the previous tutorial,in general what we're going to try and,do is replicate this product page from,Etsy so we're going to try and create, this look and feel on Wix to the extent, that we can and in order to do that I've,already installed the Wix stores app if,you're not familiar with how to do that, then you would just go here to the left, side to add apps and search for Wix,stores after you install it then you, will have several pages one of which is,the product page which is what we will,be customizing,so this app that you see here by Wix is,kind of like a closed box and in terms,of what can be customized you're,slightly limited so you have some, options for customization if you click,on settings and then go over here to,design you'll see that some of the, elements here can be changed but there, are some limitations and especially if,you want to add some additional, functionality to this page you want to,make some kind of calculation you want,to somehow display things in a different, way then you might need to completely, customize the product page and the way,we're going to do that in this tutorial,is using dynamic, pages so if you're not familiar with,Dynamic pages are pages in Wix that are, linked to a collection so that each item,in the collection displays its own page, and is connected to that item via a data, set,so in order to create a dynamic Pages, for Wix product pages what we're going,to need to do is first turn on dev mode, and after we turn on dev mode this will, give us access to the behind the scenes, collections in Wix such as the Wix,stores collections,so now that I've turned on dev mode and,I go over here to databases then you'll,see here that I have Wix app collections,on the bottom and if I go into stores, then you'll see here that I have a,collection for products I'm sorry that,it's on the very bottom and in here are,all the data fields of a Wix product and,if I go over here to the three dots and,I say add Dynamic item page then Wix,will create Dynamic pages on our website, corresponding to the items in the, product collection and I'm just using, the basic Products that come with the,Wix app template,so you can see here that we have a page, and we have a data set over here which,is a product item and you can see here, that some of the elements on the page, are already linked to this Dynamic data, set, and this is the title of the product a,description image okay but obviously, this is not the layout that we want for,our product page but this will let us,customize the look and feel of our,pro
