okay so it seems like there was a little, bit of a schedule mix-up so the session, before this the pop up demo theater that,Heather and I just gave was about,JavaScript but the description for that, session was associated with this session,so this session the content we prepared,is about working with a pop up in ArcGIS,online no JavaScript so we'll talk about, arcade expressions and making your pop,up in ArcGIS online web map look good, but I thought I would see what people, were here for because we can redo the, demo theater we just did so if you're,how many people are here to see,JavaScript content okay how many online, content we can do so a little bit of,stuff from both maybe I'll do sort of,the highlights I don't feel like I'm,just going to confuse everybody but we,can do some of the ArcGIS online stuff, and some of the JavaScript stuff as much,as we can in 25 minutes so I apologize, for for the mix-up for those of you who, just sat through the last session the,JavaScript stuff will be a repeat but we,have some intro slides in the artists, online stuff that we can sort of skip so,I'll start with the artists online, content really quickly and then we'll,move over to JavaScript and I'm I,apologize for for that I just noticed it,20 minutes ago and I was like it doesn't,match what we're talking about so my,name is my colleague Heather Gonzaga in,general I'll go over this really quickly, fine when you're working with your,ArcGIS online pop-ups and this applies,to the JavaScript pop-ups too right, there's some things that you want to do,to make sure it's a good pop up the far,pop up with the title where it says NYC,underscore dog underscore licensing we,see pop-ups like that all the time where, people just leave the field alias which,is all caps has underscores their pop-up,will have row numbers object IDs numbers, that don't maybe matter to your audience,so I think the first rule of authoring a,good pop-up,is to know your audience and if they're,not people who know what object ID is,which would be anybody who's not working, with the data right or a row number you,can hide that in the pop-up just uncheck, that box and don't show it to them, because it's just confusing it doesn't,add any more information and cluttered, your pop up so the other ones a simple, example of the same content but we've,turned off a bunch of fields we,formatted dates so if you can see in the,far one they have the time and the date, with it that time is the animal's birth, date I doubt that they really know that, that animal was born at 4 o'clock a.m.,right so it's really the date that's,important there so we've just formatted,it to just show November 2017 or maybe,November 12 2017 if you want and then we,just restrict a lot of the database, specific stuff that you might care about, but your target audience may not care, about so it's just a matter of knowing, that audience our GS online gives you, tools that let you format the dates and,the numbers I'll show you that really, quickly, everything's gonna b

all right welcome back to the dev, channel max codes today I'm gonna show, you how to integrate a custom pop-up,view inside of any iOS app you're,building it's super simple and I'm going,to be able to show you this all in one, video now you might be wondering what, this application is and this is just a,little application I'm working on for a,course I'm releasing next week all right,I'm not going to talk about that I'm,just gonna say it's in-app purchases if,you're wondering but let's go ahead and,get started with the pop-up okay so,we're gonna be building this pop-up,alright it's gonna be similar to it so,what I want you to do is I want you to,obviously create a new Xcode project so,let's go ahead and do that right now, what I'm gonna do is hit command shift, new since I have Xcode open from that, project and I'm gonna choose single view, app and then I'm just gonna call this,pop-up the view and let's just go ahead, and place that wherever you want and the, next thing and basically what we're,gonna do with this view is we're going,to use programmatic auto layout and then, with Annis layout constraint and then,we're gonna have it all animate within, the class and then it's only gonna take, two lines of code well three cuz we're,gonna use a delegate maybe so two to,three lines of code just to use the, class okay so creating the class and, then adding it to the sub view would be,two of those lines and then setting a,protocol would be the third if if we end,up doing that I don't think we need to,do that though alright so what I'm gonna,do is I am going to go into here and, zoom into my code a bit I'm gonna drag, this over and then I'm gonna drag the, simulator over a bit and let me just, make room for my face that I'm recording,I don't know if that's gonna it doesn't,matter it'll I'll put it over this cuz,we're just gonna use like the top of the, screen anyway all right so we're good, there let's go ahead and get rid of this, comment and we're good to go now I want,to change this to iPhone XR and then I'm,just gonna change the background color,to something like cyan I'm gonna, recompile the app just to make sure, everything is up and running, alright so we should be good, that should kill that app and then boot,up the new app it's just taking a second, alright come on come on all fast forward, here all right we're good to go,so what we're gonna want to do is get,rid of the background color or change it,to white I just wanted to make sure is,working and we're ready to start writing, this class so what I'm gonna do is,create a new file and I'm gonna call, this pop-up Swift,or whatever you want to call it you, might consider putting your initials and, then pop-up or max codes IO pop-up or,something since that's like the brand, name here I'm just gonna call it pop up,though alright and then I'm gonna import,UIKit and I'm gonna call this class pop,up and then Swift sorry nice I don't,know why I thought of that that's really, weird what we're gonna do is make it a,subclass of UI view alri

Facebook Ads Location Targeting Tips and Best Practices
Facebook Ads Location Targeting Tips and Best Practices
all right what's up everyone welcome to,the Surfside PPC YouTube channel today,I'm gonna be going over Facebook Ads,location targeting so some of the, different types of locations that you,can target how you can save locations so,when you create future audiences and, pretty much everything you need to know, about location targeting with your,Facebook advertising campaigns so we're,gonna start here in Facebook Ads manager, and if we come over here you click on,the menu up in the top corner and you go,to assets and audiences so we're gonna,be in this page as we go through, everything so what we're gonna do first,is we're gonna come here to create, audience and we're gonna come to saved,so the first thing I want to go through,is when you see here for location, targeting you can see if we click on,this drop-down there's four different, options that you can start with so you,can do every single person in the, location people who have a home or live,in that location people recently in that, location and people traveling in that, location so just a scroll over here real, quick to get more detailed so for people, traveling is people whose most recent, location was within the area that you're,targeting but their home is more than,125 miles or 200 kilometers away for, people recently in that location it's,gonna be people's whose most recent, location is within the area that you're,targeting people who live in the, location so people whose home condo, apartment anything like that is in that, selected area and then everybody in that, location is going to be anybody who's,home or most recent locations so pretty, much everyone in involves all three of,these locations at the bottom so if you, want to target everybody in a specific, location you would use this if you just, want to target people who live in that, location you use this one right here so,for example with people traveling in,this location I've used this example in,the past but let's just say for example,we're a Myrtle Beach attraction so we,want to target people who are currently, traveling in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, what we can do is just say people, traveling in that location and we can,set our location here to include and,we'll just do Myrtle Beach and you'll,see it'll give us a few different, options here but we'll say Myrtle Beach,South Carolina and it's automatically, gonna say Myrtle Beach plus a 25 mile, radius so it's gonna do a 25 mile radius, right around the center of the city so,you can narrow that down a little bit,you can go anywhere down to 10 miles all,the way up to 50 miles so if we do 50,miles it's gonna be anybody traveling, within this 50 mile,if you're something like an attraction, you might just want to say anybody, within 20 miles anybody within 15 miles, and we want to target that so we'll just, say anybody within 15 miles so anybody,in this area that's currently traveling,in the area we want to target them with, our advertisements so hopefully they'll,come to our attraction buy tickets do,whatever they nee
