hi everyone i'm brett the founder and,ceo of gatsby and here's how gatsby, works so when you install gatsby you're,going to start to collect the instagram, and tick tock handles from your, customers and your site visitors and you,can do this in a myriad of ways so we,have great integrations with tools like, stamped behind me here where you can see, they're collecting instagram and tick, tock right inside their stamped loyalty, module here this also works great with, loyalty lion as you can see here in,betty's collecting instagram handle from, the loyalty line interface, also it works great with clavio and, attentive so we can see here this is a,clavio form on a landing page collecting, instagram handle here we are clavio form,at post purchase from minimal,uh clavio here as well from kalanikini's,uh aura confirmation, and spangeli so different forms here, showing you how you can collect, instagram and tick tock handle from your, customer,so also show attentive,so as of uh this month september 2022,you can now ask your attentive rep to,add instagram and tick tock handles to,your 10th pop-up and we'll integrate, with those as well and we'll show you, what happens next so part one is just, collecting this data from your customers, instagram tick tock handle, once somebody gives you their instagram,or tick tock handle that information, will flow into your gatsby account which, looks like this, mine is my face here a little bit,so every handle will go into gatsby and, you're going to be able to immediately, see, the publicly available information on,that customer so for example you'll see, their profile picture, how many instagram followers they have, how many posts they've done all the, keywords in their bio will be available, for you to search and filter against,if you ask for tick tock handle same, thing will be available for you for that, medium as well, handle number of followers that people, are following number of videos they've,done etc we're also going to start to,track every time this customer mentions, you on their instagram story post or,reel or tick tock from this point, forward you'll have a running log of,who's in who's mentioned you the most, amount of times last mentioned date and, you'll be able to actually view, all that media down here under the media, section,if it's an instagram post or real or tic, talk video that content is saved for you, indefinitely so this is a tick tock uh,video, and you can see this is available for, download,so just like that you're now able to see, what influence level each of your, customers have, and track their content what makes, gatsby so powerful is our ability to,segment here in the app as well as the, ability to sync all this information, with the tools you know and love like, clavio attentive loyalty lion stamped, gorgeous yacht po and more let's look at,a few of those examples here live so,let's go ahead and look at klavio you,can see here i'm in a clavio record this,is one of your customers on the right, hand side here, you can see all the instagram

A-Level English Literature Exam Revision: The Great Gatsby Analysis
hello and welcome back to tutoring with, gavin in this series of videos i'll be,exploring classic novels that are, studied at advanced,or degree level in this video i'll be,analyzing the novel the great gatsby,by f scott fitzgerald when fitzgerald, died 15 years after the publication of,the great gatsby, his novel had only sold 120 copies by a,stroke of luck,or perhaps genius the u.s military gave, free copies to their military personnel,in 1944,and suddenly the novel became a big hit, many literary critics and scholars, now consider it one of the great modern, american novels fitzgerald was born into,an upper middle class family in,minnesota, but was primarily raised in new york he,attended princeton university, but dropped out in 1917 to join the army, while stationed in alabama,he fell in love with the rich socialite, zelda sayer although she initially, rejected him,due to his financial situation zelda, agreed to marry fitzgerald after,he had published a commercially, successful this side of paradise in,1920.,in the novel gatsby is rejected by daisy, because of his lack of wealth and class, leading to a transformation in his, personality status and wealth,in order to win her affections the, setting of this story during the roaring, twenties, juxtaposes narcissistic wealth and, abject poverty, with a sudden outburst of corruption, thrown in for good measure, after the first world war americans, found more freedom, time and disposable income and witnessed, economic expansion and urbanization, however in the novel fitzgerald presents,a society in perpetual motion,as if spiritually lost at sea the reader, follows nick's unravelling of the mythic, jay gatsby the narrator has some, sympathy for gatsby's devotion and, sacrifice for daisy but gatsby's tragic, flaw,is his inability to see daisy for what, she really is his nostalgia and, romanticism, cloud his usually impeccable instinct, for a business opportunity nick carraway, acts as a moral compass, for this materialistic careless and, shallow society and yet he's also, sometimes, hypocritical and too easily manipulated,by the rich,to be completely reliable he is,selective in his moral judgment, mesmerized temporarily by the glow of,success this world appears to him,on the one hand as dreamlike and surreal, but on the other as grotesque, dislocated and ultimately hollow as,gatsby's next-door neighbor,he is the perfect witness to events as,they unfold but he's also used by others, and becomes a facilitator for gatsby's,obsession with daisy as readers we pick,up on gatsby's fake persona with his, affected english accent and extravagant, wardrobe, and his habit of calling everyone old, sport just as america is reinventing, itself, gatsby also rises from the ashes of,obscurity and poverty, from ghats to gatsby and produces an,image of success that others want to,taste,he comes from nothing but creates a,mysterious illusion that feeds the, desires,of the american dream gatsby's library,is full of important books that have, never been read but are on show to,

thank you thank you performance matters, web performance matters in many ways one, such weight matters is for your business,I'm going here to highlight a few, business cases in which performance led,to increase business metrics, the first one is zalando the shoe, company zalando they saw 0.7 percent, increase in revenue when they shaved a,hundred milliseconds of the load time,0.7 percent increase for a company like, solando is huge and 100-millisecond is,really really small, another example train line the train, ticket company they reduced the latency,by 0.3 seconds across the in their, customer funnel and they their customers, spent an extra 8 million pounds a year,so it's like nine ish million euros, which is huge for 0.3 seconds the, financial times the economic newspaper, they deployed a new faster ft.com,websites and they saw that users were up,to 30% more engaged meaning that they, spent more time on the site they viewed, more articles and overall it became a,better community the BBC which everybody, knows I guess they measured that for, every extra second in no time they lose,an additional 10% users for a user base,as big as the BBC one this is huge and, finally Pinterest they rebuilt their,Pinterest pages for increased, performance and they so 15% increases in,SEO traffic and a 15% in conversion rate,to sign up those are metrics that every, startup would crave for and they, achieved it by working on web, performance but web performance also, matters in other ways web performance is,also an ethical issue tim Kadlec a,we're performance experts in an essay, that I encourage you to read stated that, book poor performance can and does lead,to exclusion the cnn.com websites viewed,on an iPhone 8 which in 2008 were 2018,was the latest iPhone takes around eight, seconds to load completely on a low-end,device and Alcatel One X which was also, brand new at the time it took 40 seconds,32 seconds more of flow time depending,on your device let me tell you a story, about about exclusion web performance, and YouTube in 2009 web performance, engineer over at YouTube Chris Sicarius, saw that for the youtube.com websites, the page load averaged a complete, megabyte of JavaScript just to see the, video a megabyte of JavaScript is a lot, especially in 2009 and so he worked to,reduce that payload and so he worked for,a few months on a project called project, feather to make the YouTube that,youtube.com websites faster and he,managed to reduce the payload from one, megabyte to roughly 100 kilobytes a,tenfold decrease in profit in JavaScript, payload they deployed that to production, expecting that their average page load, time would decrease because well the, site was much faster now it we loaded 10,times less JavaScript and so they pushed,it and they actually saw performance, metric going the other way around the, average load time increased it made no,sense no sense at all because they, worked on performance they achieved, great things and then the load time, increased and so they they dug around a,bit l

Warren Buffett: Why Real Estate Is a LOUSY Investment?
Warren Buffett: Why Real Estate Is a LOUSY Investment?
we've both had a fair amount of,experience in real estate and charlie, made early money in real estate, the second point is the more important, points real estate is not a commodity, but,i think it tends to be,more, accurately, priced critically developed real estate, more accurately priced most of the time, now during the rtc period when you had, huge amounts of transactions and you had,a you had an owner that didn't want to,be an owner in a very big way and they, didn't know what the hell they owned and,all of that sort of thing i mean you had,a lot of mispricing, then and i know a few people in this, room that made a lot of money off of,that but, under, most conditions it's,it's hard to find real estate that's,really mispriced i mean when i look at,when i look at the transactions that, reits engage in currently and you get a,lot of information on that sort of thing, they're very similar but it's a,competitive world and,and you know they all know about what a,class a office building and you know in,chicago or wherever it may be is going,to produce at least they have they may,all be wrong as it turns out because of,some unusual events but,but it's hard to argue with, the current conventional wisdom most of,the time,in the real estate world but, occasionally there have been some you, know there there could be,big opportunities in the field but if it,if they exist,it will certainly be because there's a,there probably there'll be a lot of,chaos in real estate financing for one, reason we've done some real estate, financing and,you have to have the money shut off,to quite a degree probably to get any,big mispricing across the board, charlie, yeah we don't have any, competitive advantage over, experienced real estate investors,in the field, and we wouldn't have if we were, operating with our own money as a,partnership, and if you, operate as a corporation, such as ours which is taxable under, chapter c of the internal revenue code, you get a whole layer of corporate taxes, between, the real estate income and the use of,the income by the people who own the, real estate,so,by its nature real estate tends to be a,very lousy investment, for people who are taxed under,sub-chapter,c of the, code relating to corporations,so the combination of having it,generally allows the activity for people, with our tax structure and having no,special competence in the field, means that,we spend almost no time thinking about, anything in real estate and then such, real estate as we've actually, done like holding surplus realist, trying to sell it off i'd say we have a,poor record ad,yeah c-corps really does it doesn't make, any sense,i mean i know there are c-corps around, that that are in real estate but, there are other structures that are more, attractive there really aren't other, structures,i mean lloyd's is an attempt at it to,some degree but there aren't other, structures that work well for big, insurance companies or i mean you can't,have a walmart very well that does not, exist in a c corp so,they are not subjec
