fiverrs i've got a uh another one here,i've been asked about the refer a friend,form that we've created for our members,we put it into a new client drip as well,as inside of our app so i'm going to,show you how we do it at burn so we,created a form and on that form we just,made it a user form so they have to be,logged in to get it and we enabled an,email notification it just goes to uh,our main,manager here,michelle,fitclubcolumbus.com,and we tagged uh that form or that lead,with uh burn referred a friend just so,we know which members are referring,friends and who's not don't require,signature and just redirect no because,there's nothing there,but we did put this in there this is,just a quick link to our,free class sign up link so that way if,they want to go ahead and sign their,friend up they can,if not worst case scenario they're going,to provide us with,their friends information,and the way that is set up is let's see,here which one is it fields,is we just asked for first and last name,of the of your referral the referrals,email and the phone number we do require,all three of these if they don't know,the email and they don't know the phone,number then we're not going to count,them as a referral what this does is,gonna time stamp when they referred them,so that way if somebody comes in before,they get referred or if they sign up and,everybody always has those members,they're like yeah that person um was my,referral however,they already came in right they didn't,know they were going to come in until,after they signed up so i'm not going to,give them uh,credit for that,now once you create that form we've,embedded it on a web page,refer a friend page that looks something,like this right,and all we did was,uh add some stuff up here at the top,just what they're going to get when they,do refer friend,we put this back to dashboard and back,to app links in there which i'll show,you what those are but then we embedded,the form notice it does say submitting,as that person,uh because when they do that it's going,to be added to the person that referred,them to their account so we can always,track down who referred them and give,them proper credit for it and then our,terms and conditions down here at the,bottom,just in case somebody has any issues or,questions on that now we do have this on,our website,all the time right over at the very top,so everybody knows that you can refer a,friend and then i believe we got it all,the way down here at the bottom as well,uh yep refer our friend at the bottom,now we've went a step further and also,put it inside of our app which looks,something like this right,and we put these two little icons here,one goes to our dashboard which is our,frequently asked questions how to do,stuff how things work that kind of thing,but then it's always at the top so,members always know uh when they log,into the app to schedule to look at the,workout nutrition any of that stuff that,they can always and easily refer a,friend it's really cool

oh steve mast,thank you shelley and welcome everyone,uh before i get started i thought i'd,just tell you a real quick story that,happened to me recently i was actually,having dinner with a good friend of mine,who owns and provides technology to the,energy sector,mainly the gas and oil businesses,he mentioned to me that,how much his industry is and has been,changing and mainly due to technology,advancements uh that these changes have,been taking place but he also mentioned,how consumer and cultural changes were,affecting the business as well and,really was a key driving force,and after the dinner it got me thinking,about when you really think about it,every industry is really being,transformed due to,disruptive technology and really,consumer behavior changing so quickly,there's really no industry or business,or brand for that matter that is really,safe today,and when you think about the fast-paced,qsr industry that's one that's in,continual change,if you just look at some of the sort of,key challenges and trends going on in,the qsr space uh just the whole idea of,trying to create brand differentiation,or creating value to the customer the,perceived value for the customer and how,challenging that is,in you know an ever-growing category and,how much consumers are really having a,hard time distinguishing between the,various different brands,or if you think of the frequency of new,products and packages and offer cycles,you know you went from kind of eight six,week cycles and in some cases it's two,weeks now where new offers and new,products are hitting the marketplace,again,part of this is driven by just this,consumer behavior where they just want,constant change,and probably the last bucket there when,you start looking at new digital,businesses and startups that are really,disrupting traditional business models,delivery services is probably the one of,the biggest ones right now and one of,the concerns with them really is the,fact that they kind of own the last mile,in fact i would argue they're starting,to become,the key owner of the customer,relationship end-to-end,meaning they own all the data and,insights about your customers,which really leads me to something as we,work with a number of qsr businesses one,of the big challenges i hear a lot about,is,we still make a lot of our decisions,based on gut driven,versus data driven even though we have a,lot of the tools in place to,mine and understand the data we're still,not a hundred percent sure what our,consumers are thinking or doing in many,many cases,so for the next,30 to 40 minutes we'll see how fast i,move along here i really want to talk,about three specific areas as it relates,to consumer insight and market research,the part one i'll touch on some of the,challenges that we see facing the,consumer insight and market research,industry today,in part two i'll outline some examples,of research technology and and really,how qsrs are using this new technology,to gather better consumer insights and,the
