hey guys it's the ecom bull here and,today i'm bringing you fresh news,shopify has just released a new free,fraud prevention program and it's not,even a prevention program because this,is meant for when actually fraud already,happen when you get scammed and somebody,purchases something from your website,with a fraudulent card and then they,file a chargeback shopify will cover the,chargeback fees which is normally 15,plus the cost of the order and this is,free you don't have to add protection or,anything like that this is included as,long as they pay with their credit card,using the shopify pay or one of the,payment systems that they allow then you,get it if you think that this is not a,big deal well let me tell you that i,have been suffering from fraud since i,started e-commerce it doesn't matter,which platform i use and it doesn't,matter which marketplace even on amazon,i have had to pay chargeback fees for,orders that were fraudulent that their,system didn't catch i was still,responsible for it until now on shopify,or woocommerce or magento you know you,will have filters that will tell you,okay this order seems fraudulent or this,order seems legit you know sometimes you,will get an order let's say from morocco,and it's from items that you don't,really sell that often and it's a large,order you know that that's probably,fraudulent but sometimes you get orders,that are super hard to decide if it's,legit or not and then you know you just,risk it right you risk it you send the,products and then a month later you get,the charge back you lose the product you,lose the money you lose the chargeback,fees it's not pretty it's not,encouraging it's it just feels really,really bad and that is why i'm super,excited about this new feature you don't,need to set this up it is automatic but,let me show you the official,announcement and what orders what,fulfillment methods are covered alright,so this is the email that shopify sent,me i got early access but it will soon,be rolled out to all of the stores and,check this out,keep your money shopify protect the name,of the program right covers the total,order cost and chargeback fee on,fraudulent orders so your revenue,doesn't take an unexpected hit,huge,and then this is the shopify page here,you can see you know all the details and,if we look closely fulfill eligible,orders within seven days and provide,tracking number from usps ups canada,post dhl fedex or the shopify,fulfillment network so that's,the only thing you need to be eligible,for this and well of course shopify has,to tell you that it has protection and,i'm gonna show you where that will be,located so here on the orders page you,will be able to now filter and see which,orders have the shopify protection it's,still not working right now if i choose,something you know,not protected or protected or protection,active is not working you know i got,super early access but i assume that,this will start popping up there and,showing everything and also i assume,tha

Hi, my name is Ilan from ClickCease.,And today, I want to talk to you about click fraud.,We're going to spend just a few minutes,understanding what is click fraud who's committing fraud.,What is Google doing about it.,And what can you do about it.,OK Let's get started.,OK And when we talk about click fraud.,We've got to understand that there are,different types of click fraud.,There is publisher click fraud.,There's arbitrage click fraud.,But I don't want to get into those.,I want to focus on the type of click fraud, which,is the most prevalent the one that is really harming,the majority of advertisers today that are using Google Ads,and that is PPC pay per click, fraud.,This is where someone is repeatedly clicking on your ads,with no intention whatsoever of doing business with you again.,There is no intent behind these clicks.,Who is doing click fraud.,What is doing.,click fraud.,Stay tuned for the next chapter.,OK So now that we understand what click fraud is.,Let's talk about who's doing it and why are they doing it,in order to do that, we need to understand that there are,two different types of clicks, you have malicious clicks,and non malicious clicks.,Let's start with the non malicious because those are less prevalent,scrapers! any software that comes through the internet,and harvests data in order to supply different data,companies with all kinds of different information.,We consider that as a scraper they don't identify themselves,to Google as a scraper.,But they are clicking on your ads.,And that is costing you money.,The second type of non malicious click fraud,are from customers customers, your customers,that every time they want to reach your website, they,click on your brand campaign.,It's true that this type of click doesn't cost too much.,But if you look at all your customers,that are clicking on your brand campaigns.,It becomes quite a hefty sum.,Let's talk about malicious click fraud then.,This is the type of fraud and the type,of clicks that really rack up as large amount of money,for your campaign and sometimes might even,make it not possible for you to even advertise with Google ads.,And this is mainly competitors.,A competitor today can easily bring up your ads.,He knows exactly what the keywords are that you're using.,And every time he clicks it can cost you from anywhere from 50 cents,to $120 per click on your ads a few times a day, many times,a day.,Google considers these as normal user behavior clicks,and you get charged for them.,The second type of malicious behavior,is from bots a bot is also employed by competitors.,And that is basically a piece of software,that can be downloaded for just a few hundred dollars or less.,And this is software that a competitor,can say please click on my competitors ad,over and over again throughout the day.,And it will happen automatically.,The third type of malicious behavior is from unhappy people,and unhappy person can be anybody,from a disgruntled employee that you may have fired,or y

Shopify Store Fraud Prevention 101

hey there youtubers,it's chris from gravy uh this,segment is on fraud and how to prevent,it with your shopify store,now i've been doing shopify sales for,about,three years with a high ticket store and,i probably get a fraud attempt but once,every six months three to six months,and gotten kind of good at figuring out,what uh people are most likely,to be attempting fraud versus the,regular customers that don't,so this is just a quickie on uh what you,can do and how you can kind of,sniff out the uh the criminals trying to,take your money,so um again i do high ticket items but,this,this really applies to any store um,and there's a few red flags that you'll,see right off the bat,firstly is uh zero emails or phone calls,and they just buy right away and,especially if this is a high ticket item,but,even any any item where there's no,inquiries,and it's just a high either a high,purchase amount or a high purchase value,or both,i had somebody buy three five thousand,dollar items,for example and uh no phone call no,email just uh just uh purchased,and of course in this case i did get the,shopify fraud warnings,um set off by this customer but i could,feel,you know already that there's something,wrong with this order,i've also had people call me up and um,a similar high ticket item asked just a,silly question that didn't seem like it,it made any sense and so it was already,suspicious when i talked,to this guy so you'll really get the,get the sense pretty quick if somebody's,trying to take take your money,and uh not not actually do that so um,so what can you do,um firstly you know once you've sensed,okay there's some red flags what can you,do well look in your shopify store,and um see if there's any uh warnings,you'll see,like little red dots show up when you,uh when you look at the payment page,and you look at the order um there'll be,red dots next to the descriptions of the,indicators that are potential for fraud,so billing address that doesn't match,the credit card is a classic,that is a red flag for sure if you,can't verify,somebody's credit card matches their,billing address you can,do some things like for example ask them,for photo id,ask them to email you photo id a,passport a driver's license,a bill to their address also,you know billing addresses that that,don't match the credit card addresses,are red flags same thing ask for a bill,some photo id of an address and,if they can't provide that or they stall,um,then reject it i even had one guy who,tried to put a sticker over his,over his uh driver's license to match,the address that he provided,and i could see the sticker um so you,know,and it took him a while to get back to,me he was clearly you know fudging it so,just be aware um ip addresses,are uh are also giveaways if the,location of the ip address is,um far from the shipping address,this this is another huge red flag and,that's what,shopify will um will show you in their,report,so some of what shopify does is they use,their address verification syste

hey,everybody,justin cener here how's it going this,video is really going to help you out if,you are a shopify store entrepreneur and,i'm going to show you how to prevent,fraudulent orders on your shopify store,and i'm going to teach you first how,fraud affects your store obviously,negatively and we want to prevent fraud,before it happens fraudulent orders,definitely more than just a nuisance an,annoyance right they're really kind of,affecting a lot of different parts of,your business and they have some really,high risks connected to them obviously,we want to avoid fraud but we want to do,more than just uh you know kind of react,to it after it happens we want to be,able to prevent it and set up our store,to hopefully never have to deal with it,and stop any attempts that might happen,and it's really hard to confidently,scale when you have fraud risks if,you're not sure if your sales are,legitimate your customers are legitimate,it's even more important if you have,high ticket orders high priced products,and you know really overall it's going,to damage your relationship with your,credit card processor whether that's,shopify payments or paypal or,authorize.net whatever it is they don't,want to see fraud right that's a risk,for them as well so that's a really,really big long-term risk for you if you,have a lot of fraud orders you might not,be able to accept credit card payments,on your site and forget about that at,that point your business is done,you could also see bad reviews,chargebacks and just an overall loss of,revenues from having to refund,fraudulent orders and there's a lot of,pain points that you run into when you,want to actually deal with this first of,all the built-in fraud protections with,shopify they're way too weak they're not,good at all all they simply do is alert,you after fraud happens we need to find,an app that is easy to use easy to set,up and it must help you prevent fraud,right that's the biggest thing here i'm,going to show you fraud judge we'll go,over the shoulder i'll show you exactly,why i use it really powerful app but,there's a lot of different use cases for,it obviously we want to prevent fraud,but what if you have some high ticket,items you want to do some high risk,order verification you could do,something like requesting id documents,or verify their age and identity through,this app really powerful and just simply,gives you all of the confidence back to,grow your store grow it without any risk,you could even do things like age or,restricted products you could verify,their age things like cbd or alcohol,things like that address checks as well,and that's why i use fraud judge that's,why i recommend it to all my students,that's why they use it and you see the,link directly below this video it's,highly recommended we're going to go,over the shoulder i'm going to show you,exactly how to use fraud judge and how,it's going to help you prevent fraud you,see the link directly below this video,i'll bring up over here the sho

Google Ads Click Fraud - Block Unwanted & Low Quality Clicks - Click Cease Review

hey this is ryan from web eminence and,in this video i'm going to talk about,the dark underbelly of google ads which,is,click fraud or what google calls invalid,activity,uh the way they define invalid activity,is,any interaction that doesn't come from,real people,with real interest in your ad and the,problem here is that,invalid activity depletes your budget,and when your budget is depleted you,know you can't get good clicks,so it's obviously a problem it's,probably not as big of a problem as a,lot of people,fear a lot of my clients ask me about it,and i really think,one of the ways you deal with invalid,activity is just to,know that it exists and know that it's,usually going to be a small percentage,of your traffic so i have 60 or so,clients right now,who are getting good results from their,google ads,traffic regardless of invalid activity,so my guess is that it's usually,one percent or less but if you could,eliminate that one percent,or for people where it's more like four,or five percent you definitely want to,deal with it so in this video i'm going,to show you some of the ways that google,deals with it and some tools you can use,to deal with,click fraud and invalid activity so if,invalid activity or click fraud is a,concern of yours,i would recommend searching for this,page just search uh,traffic quality google ads in google,you'll probably find this site,they have a lot of good information in,here about how,google uses its automated methods to,block,invalid activity and you'll see they,list automated detection,manual reviews and advanced research,that they have in place to block invalid,activity,so you can check your own account and,actually go into billing and then click,on transactions,scroll through your billing transactions,and you may see a line like this,called invalid activity you can see here,they blocked,or refunded 18 cents,worth of clicks now this is these are,actual clicks that got refunded so they,probably are blocking ads,or blocking clicks that never happen or,blocking ip addresses that are no good,so even though this is a tiny percentage,18 cents out of,you know 300 that was spent this month,it's a small percentage but they're,probably blocking more than that,i would say probably a few percentage,points of um,or you know two or three percent maybe,of invalid activity,here's one more account i'll show you,real quick and we'll just see if they,have any invalid activity,that was blocked so again you go into,transactions,they have just a few hundred dollars in,spend,here's about five hundred dollars this,month and eight dollars in,invalid activity was refunded so that's,less than two percent but again they,probably blocked more,proactively that never resulted in a,charge,so it's important to know that google is,doing some blocking,um of invalid activity but you may not,want to rely on them solely for blocking,click fraud and invalid activity you can,click on this page,what you can do and they have some,pretty good information,you

Shopify Fraud Prevention | How To Automatically Cancel High-Risk Fraudulent Orders With Shopify

in today's video I'm going to be showing,you how to automatically cancel,high-risk orders in Shopify,um I just saw this on my dashboard today,so I figured I'd make a video about it,since I've been doing it recently,um I mean 14 000 in a year is a lot so,let's get started I actually made it,to-do list it's we can follow along to,get started all you have to do is go to,your app so just click on apps like it,says right there type in Shopify flow,should come up if you don't have it,already installed it'll just take you to,the App Store it's an app made by,Shopify specifically for these,automation purposes so you just click it,or download it from the App Store,once you're in the Shopify workflow,click create workflow,browse templates,you can type in cancel and restock Iris,orders or you can just scroll down right,so you just click it,and it's pretty much just showing you,the flow of what would happen naturally,so the order risk is analyzed as high,risk,as it says right there and this will,just automatically tag these orders as,high risk cancel them immediately,because of Fraud and refund the money so,you don't have to pay out of pocket and,when you're done reviewing this you can,add things to this if you want to but I,haven't changed it in one bit you just,click install and that's it and I can go,back to this workflow and show you what,it looks like okay so now I'm back in my,regular dashboard of the Shopify uploads,and you can see my workflow so this is,what it'll look like when it's when you,actually have it installed it says,cancel and restocked at high risk orders,so I click it,and I scroll down you can see that's,what I just installed and I'll just,click right here where it says complete,with action because I've had this,installed for a month or so now,and if I scroll down you'll see the,orders that automatically got canceled,so it sets for automatically shown four,workflow runs as you can see at 11 45 pm,at night 11 49 11 55 and 1207 someone,try to place um multiple fraudulent,orders on my store this was,automatically canceled and refund so I,didn't have to refund anything after it,or worry about it and I'll show you what,this looks like in the regular Shopify,dashboard,so these are all the high-risk orders I,don't know if you remember in the,beginning of this video there's over,fourteen thousand dollars worth of virus,orders that go through my store and,these are just um orders that were,automatically canceled this is the one,that I just showed you yes but this hat,this app will be very useful in the past,I used to have to set my payment to,manually capture so I could go through,and capture the payments manually,because there are so many high-risk,orders coming through and it just eight,up so many so much of my time so now I'm,really happy that Shopify finally came,out with this after two years of me,asking them for a solution in the past,there was other apps that would charge,you to do this stuff where you could,block special,um specific count

How to Prevent Click Fraud On Google Ads (STOP WASTING $$ NOW!)
