Hi everyone, it's me, Lu Wee, and welcome back to a new video.,So in today's video, I'm going to show you,how you can set up custom forms inside your Shopify store.,While Shopify does offer two native forms, that is, the account creation form as well,as the contact form, you'll find that these these forms are pretty basic.,For instance, for the create account form, you'll find that there are only four,fields the first name, last name, email and password.,That's it. On the other hand, the contact page also,only features four fields name, email, phone number and message.,While these default forms get the job done,for advanced users who have a need for getting more information from their,customers or potential customers, these forms can be quite limiting.,If that's you,,you find yourself in the position where you need to customize your own forms.,So there are a few options to achieve this.,The first option is to get your hands,dirty and go into the liquid code of your theme and edit them there.,But if you don't know how to code,in liquid, all of this can look like a bunch of gibberish to you.,So if you don't know how to code yourself and hiring a developer is too expensive,for you, well, the good thing is that you can use form builders.,Form builders typically have a drag and drop interface where you can build,almost any kind of form without using a single line of code.,Now, when it comes to using form builders,,there are actually two types of form builders that you can use.,The first kind are the third party ones where you build the form on another,platform and then you embed that code into your Shopify store.,And the other way is using a third party,app within the Shopify ecosystem to build the forms.,Well, these forms that you build,with an app can also be in the form of embedding or using a short code.,There are pros and cons of using either one.,Of course, when you use a third party form builder that's outside of Shopify's,ecosystem, there's a problem with compatibility.,Whereas when you use a Shopify approved,third party app within the Shopify ecosystem, there's a higher chance,that whatever form you build will work in Shopify.,Additionally, when you use an app within,the Shopify ecosystem, you can manage everything within one,shopify dashboard versus having to make amendments outside of shopify.,And for these reasons, it may be much more convenient for most,merchants to simply use a form builder app within the Shopify ecosystem.,So the app that we'll be looking at today,is called the powerful contact form builder app by Global.,Global's form builder app is one,of the most powerful ones that we have in the Shopify app marketplace.,So as you can see here in the demo,,there are so many different types of forms you can build.,For instance, the normal contact form.,And we also have the floating contact form.,And then we have the shopify registration form.,Remember earlier we could only have four fields.,Now you can add a lot more fields to it.,You

for Mayo provides a very powerful,drag-and-drop form builder it includes a,lot of options for each component type,that allow you to really customize,exactly how each form works and,embedding it within your application,allows you to have that same,drag-and-drop form building capability,however often as in this case the,options needs to be pared down quite a,bit to allow easier use by end-users,let's take a look at how to do that well,let's first look at how each component,is created inside of ng formula and,we're looking at the source code for the,text field the component of for text,field is registered using formula,components provider dot register and in,this case an object is being sent to the,text field component defining it and it,includes things like the title the,template the icon and default settings,so how it works is when you register the,register the initial time will create,the component definition and down here,we see also the location of the field,template when it gets rendered and it's,set in the settings right there,the second time it's registered it will,extend the same object and so you don't,have to repeat it in this case we ran ng,form builder which is the form builder,that we're talking about now we're,extending it by adding a views setting,to it and you see there's display data,validation and others and if we look,back at the field these correspond to,the tabs along the top of the form,builder so that's how it's put together,this ng form builder actually extends,the same component definition that's set,in ng for me Oh,however the question then becomes how do,we remove all of these items inside of,our application in order to do that,let's take a look at the source code for,our application inside of this text,field we're overriding again the,definition of the text field component,and we have a collection of these,different overrides and we're doing,formula component provider dot register,again for text field and we're replacing,the views with only display and,conditional and there you'll notice that,the display one of course,to the template down below and we're,only including the field options that we,want to expose so we're copy we copied,over the same definitions and remove the,pieces that we didn't want and then we,see when we have it we actually have,less options for the display tab as well,as only the display in conditional tabs,up at the top now so that allows us to,remove all the different options we,don't want to expose to our end users in,addition we want might want to remove,certain fields in this case we're,removing the password the checkbox HTML,element custom and other types of,components from our builder and to do,that just send display true which,overrides the definition and we'll,remove it from the listing so we can see,also that there are different groups,that we might want to remove and we do,that by going into the runs section so,in to remove the field it didn't config,and to remove the groups that's in run,y

custom forms in wigs hi guys welcome,back to another video and in today's,video i'm going to be telling you about,custom forms and how you can add them,into your wix's website so,for those of you don't know what it is,or why this is important it's basically,because a lot of,wix websites when you are editing a,website and if you are adding a bunch of,different forms or a bunch of different,contact information then it basically,tells you to upgrade your account,basically to upgrade your adsense,account so that's why you can upload a,lot of different forms so for in this,video i'm going to be telling you how,you can make your own custom forms using,a particular software called cms or,customer management system so it's very,easy,and uh it's really really fun so let's,just get into it so so for now i'm over,here into the template section over here,and i'm just simply going to uh choose a,website that i want to like you know,build so let's just go ahead and click,on edit this website i'm just going to,show you how to basically you know use,it it's really easy it's really fun wait,a couple of seconds for it to load up,all the options and then we'll get to it,okay so i'm over here as you can see,this is how it looks like this is the,editor this is the website that i'm,about to be you know,adding a,you know cms to but let me just show you,what is the cms and how it looks like,okay so this is a how what it looks like,so as you can see all these different,products right they all have the same,layout now the images itself might be,different the title might be different,and the price might be different but the,overall layout is exactly the same right,you have the product with the white,background and then down below you have,these small information that you would,need so this is what acms is it's,basically like you know having the same,thing multiple times and it's really fun,to use so this is how it looks like as,you can see the products are different,but the layout is exactly the same this,is what a cms does so over here once,you're over here onto this website let,me just go ahead and delete this form,section over here so that we can go,ahead and add our own so if we come over,here onto this part over here on the,left side we can see we have a bunch of,different options we need to have a cms,option over here but we don't have it,and chances are you might not as well so,what you need to do is click on this,plus button and over here you will see,the content manager simply come over,here and simply click on add to site and,once you do that wait a couple of,seconds for the content manager to be,added and what it's it's added it'll ask,you a bunch of questions like,what type of preset do you want,or,like a preset like a template but,that you can go ahead and use that as,well but for now we're going to be using,a custom so what we're going to do is,we're going to click on customize and,over here we will see we have a bunch of,different options basically,like a li

in today's video we're going to be,taking a look at metform by wp met,who've kindly sponsored this video we're,going to do is we're going to break this,down into two different sections we're,going to take a look at the free version,and what that brings to the table and,also take a look at some of the features,in the pro version so you can make an,informed decision on if this is the,right plugin or plugins for you as,always being a sponsored video i'm not,going to give you any opinions i'm just,going to demonstrate how they work okay,so first of all let me just say this is,a plugin for elementor so if you want to,open up form building options inside,elementor free this may be a good option,for you okay so the first thing to do,i've already gone ahead installed the,free version of the plugin and we'll,take a look at the pro version a little,later,i've created a page inside my demo site,and we're going to go ahead now and,start setting up the form so the first,thing i'm going to do is we're going to,create a new section that's going to,hold our form so let's just set this up,to be a single row and column,then let's come over to our widgets on,the left hand side and search for,metform,i'm going to drop this widget into,our design so you can see now this says,no content is added yet and that's,because we haven't actually created the,form this is the quickest and easiest,way of going about it but you can do it,direct from the metform entry inside the,dashboard and you're going to kind of,get a very similar experience so we need,to do is click on the edit form button,on the left hand side and that then,allows us to select the form we've,previously created so we can reuse that,as many times as we need to or we can go,ahead and create a new one you can see,we can start from scratch or we could,use some of the pre-defined pre-built,templates now some of these are free,some of these are pro and there are a,range of different options inside you to,choose from what we're going to do,though is we're going to start with,something completely new so let's go and,give this a name we'll call it sample,form,we'll click to choose the blank form,option and we'll click on edit form now,that opens up a new window with a sort,of similar elementor experience but with,a lot of extra widgets available,specific to building out our form and,this is where metform differs,considerably from a lot of the other,form builders you may be used to all,this is done inside the elementor editor,with full control over how we want to,lay things out styling and those kinds,of things so there's a lot of,flexibility in this method so you can,see if we take a look at the left-hand,side we've got all the different kind of,form widgets so we've got time select,text area multi-select switch range,sliders passwords tons of options inside,you including things like recapture file,upload and so on,so we can use any of these now inside,our designs so let's go ahead and start,building out a really simp

Let's take a look at custom forms.,The forms in NetSuite provide a simple way to,collect and store information in an organized format.,But sometimes the standard forms don't,adequately meet your company's needs.,In situations like that, you will,want to create custom forms.,There are three main types of forms you can customize.,First, there are entry forms.,Entry forms are used to collect,information and store it in NetSuite.,Some of the record types that,use entry forms to collect information,include employee, vendor, and customer records.,Second, there are transaction forms.,Transaction forms are used to add,transactions like sales orders, purchase orders,,and work orders to NetSuite.,They are also used to print transactions.,Third, there are address forms.,Technically, there is only one standard address form, but,it has enough unique characteristics to warrant a separate,tab from entry forms and transaction forms.,You have two main options for creating custom forms.,First, you can navigate to Customization > Forms, and choose,the type of form you want to create.,Under the Edit column of that page, you'll,have the option to click Edit or Customize.,If a form has the Customize option,,that means it is a standard form.,Forms that have the Edit option, on,the other hand, have already been customized.,Choose the standard form you want,to change and click Customize.,Alternatively, you could create a custom form by editing,a record or transaction that uses the form.,Simply navigate to the record or transaction,whose form you want to customize,,click Edit, and under the Customize tab in,the upper right corner, select Customize Form.,When you customize a form, you will want,to give the form a unique name.,Otherwise, NetSuite will automatically apply,"Custom" to the beginning of the,original name of the standard form.,You will also have the option of,providing a script ID for the form.,You can change the appearance of either,entry or transaction forms in similar ways.,According to SuiteAnswers, on the custom,form you can rearrange, rename, hide, or,disable fields, subtabs and buttons.,You can also make specific fields mandatory,,add custom fields, or apply custom code.,To make these types of changes, use the,subtabs on the Custom Form page.,When you initially create either a custom entry or transaction,form, there are some checkbox options in the first field,group that direct how that form will be used.,The first of these is Inactive.,If you mark a form as Inactive, then you would,only see it on the Custom Forms page, provided you,have also checked the Show Inactives box on that page.,A second checkbox is Store Form with Record.,According to the NetSuite field help, this,checkbox ensures that your records are viewed,and edited with this form,,regardless of who is viewing or editing the,record. hey everyone,dominic lenart here and in this video i,want to share some,information on online forms i know it,sounds quite,um boring a topic but there is a lot,more different ways to build,online forms out there than you might,think and as i was just doing some,research myself i'm i'm looking at,what what are all the different ones out,there what different purposes do they,serve,i just wanted to share that what that,knowledge with all of you guys out there,guys and girls,um if you are looking to build an online,form which ones are out there and what,is the best use of each one of those,so first of all what is the purpose of,an online form let's let's start with,the,with the very basics the basic idea of,an online form is you want to,collect some sort of information maybe,you want to collect,informations on your website you want to,collect information on leads,that you have coming in you want to you,host a webinar and you want to,um collect information on who's going to,come maybe it's just a private party,you're planning your birthday party or,you're planning something like that,and or you're scheduling it you're,trying to arrange a trip with your,friends and that might be quite,difficult,um at times and then you want to collect,all that information in one place so use,an,online form and there's a bunch of,online forms out there and i think the,kind of the three criterias that are,really important to look at,which are again very basic but you will,see in a moment why there's,so many options out there and how they,differentiate themselves and these three,criterias are,you want it to be really easy to create,um,so it's intuitive it's easy to create a,new form you want it to be easy to,answer because the whole point of it you,want to get information,so if it's an if it's a pain to answer,the questions if it's a pain to use the,tool itself,and the people you're trying to get the,information from are not going to answer,the questions,and thirdly it's you want to be have it,easy to evaluate the answers,so either you want to have all the,details or maybe you just want to have,at a glance it's more of a survey kind,of thing and,based on these things you want to choose,different tools,um so why are there so many different,forms you can use form builders out,there and there's here's a few questions,and,i want i want you to ask yourself and,this is going to lead you to choosing,the right form for what your use case is,or choosing the right form builder and,that is first of all for example do you,want to,embed the form into a bigger website or,is it just a standalone form you just,want to send a link to someone,and then they just go on a site and then,from there they just answer the,questions and then you get an email,reply or you get a,spreadsheet with all the information so,do you want to embed it into a website,and you maybe don't even see that it's,an external form builder,and it just looks like part of the,website um do you maybe want to host the,form y

Create Custom Forms using Form Builder on Shopify

hi,today we're going to learn how to create,a custom form in the aaa ecommerce form,builder app,to create a custom form all you have to,do is,log in to the form builder app,and then click on new form,when you click on new form you're,presented with a range of options where,you can choose a custom form,registration form,wholesale customer registration form,contact form and so on and so forth,example you need to choose the custom,form option,once you click on custom form give your,form a name i'm going to call it test,september,e3,and i'm going to click next,once i click on next i'm presented with,a form builder screen,where i can basically edit the fields of,my form,to edit the pre-existing fields that are,presented to me for same last name email,and message i just need to click on the,field and click on the edit option to,basically edit various options for that,field,so instead of calling it a field label,first name,i can call it maybe,a primary name,or given name,i can you can basically call it what you,need to make your modifications click,save,now you see that the field name has been,changed given name last name email and,message,you can drag and move these fields up,and down as the case may be,now if you need extra fields for example,a form element like a button a checkbox,a date field let's say i want a date,field,any field in the form elements,this area the form elements,can be dragged and dropped so i'm,basically going to drag the date field,and drop it here under the message,let's say i want a phone number field,also so i'm going to drag and drop,and place it under the email,i can also add,customer registration default fields,these are basically click and drops,these are not drag and drops so if i,want to say add a,country,i just need to click on the field,and you see it directly appears here i,can then drag it or move it,where i need to so let's say i want to,move it to above the date field or maybe,below the number field i can do that,we can add multiple fields under the,customer registration default fields and,then the form elements,you can also edit any field,so for example you want to make the,number a compulsory field you can just,click on the edit option,choose the required,and you will see a star appears next to,the number which means it is now,compulsory field,and let's say you want to make,the,country a,the country field a,compulsory field as well just click on,that click on the edit option,choose the required field,along with editing the option you can,also edit the country choices if you do,want to remove a country choice like for,example,maybe you don't want,china or you don't want,angola or you don't want,antigua and barbuda you can remove the,country you don't need,once you're satisfied with the options,remember to save,and the form settings have been saved,successfully as you see on the top here,after you finish dragging and dropping,all the elements that you need to,right over here,move,click on the settings tab right on

Let me go ahead and open Form Builder Plus from here. ,Click on start. It's going to ask whether it is a full spreadsheet to be taken and what kind of ,pattern it needs to be picked up. I'll choose full and then I'll choose Quiz as an option. ,This input has headers also, so let me choose that. Once I choose the headers, it is going to ,automatically identify which header is for which purpose. For example question is coming from here, ,the type is coming from column B and for example answer starts in column D and ends in G ,and all the other information gets automatically mapped based on the header names here. ,Let me go ahead and click get. Now it is all loaded and ready to be imported.,In Google Slides it's a similar way of invoking Form Builder Plus. ,Let me take a template, I'll make a copy of the template. ,Open Form Builder Plus, click on start.
