hey everyone this is sean today we'll be,creating our own delivery estimator that,dynamically updates based on the current,day a user is visiting our website,if we look at this example here of this,horse necklace product,it is currently october 27th and if i,were to order this product today right,here below it says it will arrive,between november 1st and november 6th,if instead i were to visit this website,tomorrow this will have updated to say,november 2nd to november 7th and these,are really good for product pages,because one of the biggest questions,customers have is when will my product,arrive so this should really help,increase your conversion rate by,including something like this on your,product page so let's get started and,see how to make our own delivery,estimator,so we're going to do first is download a,library called day.js and it's a very,lightweight library that won't slow down,your website that,helps us interact with time in very few,lines of code so if we click get started,let's go down to downloads here on the,left and we'll click this first link,here to get the latest version of data,js,once we're here what we want is the,minified version of the file so let's,click that,we're going to select all of it and copy,it to our clipboard,we're going to go back to our shopify,dashboard and go to the theme we're,working on so here i've created a theme,called delivery estimator we're going to,go to edit code,on our left we're going to go down to,our assets section,and we're going to create a new file a,blank file and we're going to call it,day js dot min,and this extension is going to be dot js,add that asset,let's find that file here on the left,and we're going to paste in what we had,copied earlier and save that,so now that we've created our djs file,we want it to load when we're on our,product page it makes no sense to have,it load on any other page besides the,pages we are trying to load our delivery,estimator on,so on the left here let's go to our,templates and find our product file in,some themes it'll be product.json in,older themes it'll be product.liquid and,that product that liquid file will,probably lead to another file called,product template,in my case i'm being led to a section,called main dash product so i'm going to,find that here main product,and we know we're on the right page,because if i control f search and look,for the submit,button here this is actually the add to,cart button so i'm pretty sure i'm on a,product page now in order to double,check that we can go to the top here,give ourselves some room and just type,in the word test,save that,and if we go to our product,the word test is rendered so we know,we're on the right page,so now we can go back to our code and,delete our test text and in its place we,can write an opening script and a,closing script tag,within the opening script tag we can,type src equals and then two quotations,within that we'll do two opening curly,brackets and two closing curly brackets,and with

hi and welcome to an awesome new,tutorial and today we'll be learning how,you can as a store owner display the,estimated delivery date on your product,pages cool okay so the first thing you'd,want to do is you want to make sure,you're on your aftership admin panel and,once you're here in this page you want,to click on apps and then click on the,AI predictive EDD app awesome now let's,select the date format so either you can,choose a date range which gives your,customers an estimate on delivery date,or you can choose a single date which,gives your customers the exact delivery,date for their deliveries on their,orders perfect now for this tutorial,I'll go ahead and choose the single date,option let's click on it click confirm,and the date format is updated,next let's configure the order cutoff,and processing times so in here you want,to configure how long it'll take your,Warehouse to process an order cool let's,go ahead and click on edit to see how,that works,so in the first section you want to,select the amount of time needed to,process an order so just choose a time,for example 4 pm,and for time zone let's choose GMT UTC,for example okay so what does that mean,that means that you as a store owner,process your orders at 4 pm GMT UTC time,every day so in other words when you as,a customer place an order the order is,put on hold until 4 pm GMT UTC time and,that's the time of the day when all,orders are sent off to the warehouse,next you want to choose how long it'll,take for your Warehouse to process the,order so in other words once you send,the order to your warehouse at 4 pm how,long or how many days does it take for,your Warehouse to get it ready for,shipping so choose a number of days I'll,keep it to let's say,um five days so it takes them five days,to get the package ready for delivery,and then finally you want to select the,day or days when your Warehouse can,process the order and check off the days,which are days when your Warehouse is,closed or not working great and once,you're done with all your changes click,on Save,perfect moving on the last part we've,got the shipping rules now here you can,set up shipping rules and based on those,rules and estimated delivery date or,exact delivery date will be shown to,your customers awesome let's click on,ADD and see how that works cool now,let's add a shipping Rule and to begin,with let's go ahead and pick a name so,I'll just go ahead and type in DHL,next we've got apply to and in here you,want to select which option should the,rule apply to should it apply to all,orders or orders that meet certain,conditions next up we've got the,settings starting off with conditions,let's go ahead and set up our first,condition which is the customer location,so go ahead and choose a country,I'll pick United States,next let's go ahead and enter the,product SKU so that depends on which,product you want to apply these settings,to and you can also add more products on,each new lines and finally let's choose,the product

this is the Etsy conversations podcast,resource episode number 56 how to add,the estimated delivery date to your,listings I hope you had a very Merry,Christmas yesterday this episode is,going live on December 26th 2018 I'm,assuming you are still celebrating so,I'm going to make it really quick and if,you celebrate something else other than,Christmas I wish you a very happy,Hanukkah happy Kwanzaa our happy,holidays so like I said I know it's,still holiday season so I'll make this,episode short and sweet and go through a,very quick how-to to help you make your,listings more attractive to buyers now,if you shop online you know how,important it is to know when you'll be,receiving your package we like to know,exactly what day our package is going to,arrive and sometimes it's for security,reasons because of the increase in porch,thefts and whatnot so now you can also,let buyers on Etsy know what dates to,expect your package not just how long it,will take to get them but the actual,dates if you use calculated shipping,then you don't need to do anything that,information will automatically show up,on your listings once you fill in the,required information however if you set,up shipping profiles and you use that,then there are some few additional steps,that you need to follow since Etsy,updated that feature in order to get the,delivery dates to show up on your,listings so here's what you need to do,I'm going to go a bit slowly in case you,want to log in to your shop manager and,follow along so step one go into your,shipping profiles so navigate in your,shop manager to your settings then go to,shipping settings and then pull up your,shipping profiles next click on edit on,the profile that you want to update,then scroll down to the section where,you see shipping carrier and then select,your preferred carrier UPS FedEx USPS,etc in the next box right beside that,select from the drop down menu which,service you will use from the carrier,that you selected then if you ship,internationally do the same thing select,the carrier of choice and what service,you use and then at the very bottom of,the box click save profile that's it,you're done you can actually go into one,of your listings and look and see the,new updated listing in over in the right,hand side buyers will be able to see the,listing we'll be able to see the exact,dates that they can expect to receive,your package based on either their zip,code or their country of residence now I,recently made this change for my,listings that I use specific shipping,profiles for I haven't yet noticed any,change in sales but I'll be keeping a,watchful eye I'll let you know if,anything changes significantly maybe,based on that if you update your,shipping profiles to I'd like to here if,you notice any significant changes in,sales volume specifically if you notice,correlating increase in sales or,alternatively a decrease in convos,asking about when customers can expect,to get their packages delivered,thank you for listening t

hey guys chris here and welcome back to,the fedex blogs let's just get straight,to the point and answer one of the most,common questions i get on my instagram,and that is the tracking on my package,has stopped moving what gives what,happened did someone steal my package,did my package get lost what do i do now,in this video i'm gonna answer your,question to what happened to your,package so let's jump right in man all,day has been raining,very sad day for me but i got my rain,jacket,and i'm somewhat dry i feel dry so,that's good so as many of you know i am,a fedex driver,if you couldn't tell,i also want to start off by saying that,i don't know all the answers i'm just,giving you my perspective as a driver,and what i see on a day-to-day basis,i've also worked at amazon ups so you,can say that i've been around the block,we're going to talk about um fedex,tracking mostly and the operations at,ups and fedex are pretty much similar so,you can take the aspects i talk about,fedex and put it into ups so let's start,the process in fx it all starts off when,packages picked up or drop off at a,fedex location think like a fedex office,or if you schedule a pickup let's use,adidas shoes for example when you place,an order on adia's website for um i,don't know the ultra boost you can,expect adidas to fulfill that order,within that day or the next and after,that they probably most likely have a,schedule pick up to pick up all the,shoes or they drop it off themselves at,a location and when i finish for the day,and go back to the terminal the package,will be scanned again by package,handlers so if you go on the website and,check the website when it says arrive,that effects facility,that's when the package chandler scanned,it and once that package is scanned it,goes on a bunch of conveyor belts to the,right trailer and once it hits that,trailer i believe it's scanned again,this is where you get that notification,where it says it's departed the fex,facility and once it's on the fedex,trailer it'll go to another facility and,that cycle arriving and the parking,starts all over again until it gets to,the last warehouse and once it gets to,the last warehouse it comes down the,belt,and a package handler will scan,that package into my truck and this is,where that notification comes in where,it says it's on the fedex vehicle,ready for delivery or alpha delivery,something like that this usually happens,around uh the night shift probably like,in the a.m like three four five a.m and,after that your package will always say,that your package will arrive probably,before 8 8 pm or something like that,something late in the day it's probably,much earlier we want you to have low,expectations of us so you're thinking oh,the package will come at 8 pm but when,you get your package at 1 pm 12 p.m 9,a.m you're like whoa these guys are,awesome,so we want to undersell and over deliver,but now what happens to my package when,i don't get these updates here at fedex,you probably move like 15 0

so there's this recurring,theme on my channel and in the comments,some people are like,i'm just here watching the video waiting,for my package i'm gonna explain,what happens to your package when it's,out for delivery and in my truck,all the nitty gritty little intricacies,that happen on the road,so let's go,hey guys chris here and welcome back to,the feds vlogs,it's 9 25 right now and early morning,and we're doing a different town than,what i usually do this town is a lot,smaller and has only two drivers driving,through it,today we're going to talk about what,happens after the package is on the,delivery truck,you know when you check your status,online it says out for delivery,this is what happens during that process,so when we get out of the terminal we,want to be as,efficient as possible the first house we,usually go to,is the one closest to the terminal we,can deliver,any package that we want first but it's,important to be efficient,so here my scanner the terminals itself,from here so i would do this section,first and make,work my way up to the other sections,and you can see that every area is color,coded so this is pink,this is white this is orange this is,purple,all right time to do our first delivery,put right here,all right that starts our day,all right guys one more important point,if a driver gets hungry he might stop,for breakfast,so we stopped at my favorite place,7-eleven,and we got cheesy bread which i highly,recommend you guys try,we got the cheeseburger this one's not,too bad,and we got donuts for later,i also have this water bottle that i,always refill i try to finish the whole,bottle at least,every shift so you guys want to know,when you can expect,to get your package well you guys came,to the right place because i'm going to,talk about what happens to your package,when it's out for delivery,i also know that there are some etas on,the website,for you guys but that eta doesn't,account for if they grab breakfast,or if the stop takes longer than usual,or how fast the driver likes to drive,all right so we start delivering around,9am sometimes an,hour earlier sometimes hour later,depends when the night shift and the,package handlers are done,for amazon drivers i believe you guys,work in waves i'm aware there's like a,6am wave 7am wave 8am wave,and for ups i believe they work the same,way as fedex but generally,we start very early in the morning and,since we start very early in the morning,there's a pretty high chance that we're,gonna stop for breakfast nothing too,crazy maybe a bagel,or some coffee a general rule of dumb,when you receive your fedex or ups,package,is just keep track of when they deliver,that package if the fedex driver,delivered the package around 12 pm the,day before,you can always expect your package to be,delivered around the same time,the routes are usually static or in,other words they always start and,end at the same place maybe with a,slight variation they'll do a different,section of the town before you or after

so this video,is about a pair of yeezys that i ordered,all the way back in september,that i never received september october,november december almost four months,later it took four months,for a resolution so on a casual,september day,i was on the adidas app and i entered,for the,yeezy 350. it is refills,is refills,i so happen to get them in a size 12.,so i felt pretty good about that i was,like all right you know we got some,yeezys you know,might resell them might keep them you,know i don't know i have to see them in,hand,so when the yeezys finally shipped they,were with fedex,so i updated the tracking and said it's,supposed to be here,today never showed up,so then it got changed depending and,then it said supposed to be delivered,the next day never showed up it got,changed depending,and then it just stayed and pending for,eternity,it's still impending right now let me,show you,okay so jake you should have just got,your money back right,that's what you think with a company,like nike,you would get your money back,immediately but no no no,not with adidas so i call adidas and i,give them the story,and they're like okay we'll open a,tracer with fedex on your package and,we'll find it,i'm like cool whatever right so,weeks go by i call back and they're like,oh,it seems like your package is missing so,i'm like okay,can i have my money back please and,they're like no,we have to file a claim with fedex,i'm like okay that's fine you know,because i'm a polite,patient gentleman you know i don't get,rowdy,on the phone at least at first so they,did a little tracer they're open their,little claim,whatever right all right so i called,back like another,week later still no updates so they put,me on hold,for like 20 minutes and they're calling,fedex whatever,and they're like oh we reopened it and,they're like call back in like five days,so i call back and they say fedex denied,the claim,on a tracking number that's still,pending,and was never delivered fedex,denied the claim so then i was like okay,well can i get my money back from you,adidas and they're like no sorry that's,not our policy,adidas saw that the item was never,delivered fedex denied the claim,they don't care i said can i speak to a,manager and they said,sorry sir here at adidas we don't let,you speak to managers,they'll call you and i'm like when are,they gonna call,so i left my information you know when i,got that call,never adidas is the biggest joke of a,billion dollar company,but nike shoes don't come you got your,money back immediately,they don't play any let's trace the,package let's open the claim of ups,hey come on man with nike you could wear,the damn shoes for like,i don't know 40 days and go out to,parties and spill,beer on them and then be drunk and pee,on your shoes and then you take them,back and they'll take them,and like you'll take them they'll get,your money back because they're nike,adidas sad ass and you know what they do,with their yeezys,they put the damn style code and,size right
