all right guys so what is this q excuse,a stock keeping unit what I like to call,it is an item identification number this,q could be anything first of all it,could be a number could be letters,anything that you find easy to identify,your product again I'm gonna come back,to that apparel example because we deal,with us a lot here but it doesn't have,to be only for Apparel's so different,color item different style different,size each one of them will have a,different SKU it could be one two three,one two three four now why do we need,this when you get an order to your,website through your e-commerce or any,other channel that you're using you get,an order for that first q one two three,you let us know SKU 1 2 3 is going to,customer a for example and then that way,we take out that product we place it,into the package and we keep the,inventory now you know how many items of,that product do we have left in here and,stock for you and how many do you need,to order as well in regards to packaging,we have two options,you can actually provide your own,packaging or we can refer you to one of,our partners if we have two types of,packaging you can get the plain simple,packaging or you could get something,customized like this alright so in,regards to the labels the customer is,responsible for generating their own,label however the pick and pack fee does,include printing the label on placing it,on your package,you can keep track of your inventory,online through our online inventory,management system called a order through,a order your inventory is updated 24/7,and you'll be able to access it from,anywhere because it's cloud-based you'll,be able to see the inventory from the,packaging you have with us if you have,silica gel packs or anything we receive,as well as the actual products in order,to make sure the correct items are,shipped to your customer you must,include a packing slip for every order,that's sent to us that way our team here,knows okay by SKU let's send out these,orders to this customer,outsourcing your operation will benefit,you by allow you more time to focus on,upscaling your business focus on,increasing your sales finding,efficiencies when it comes to your own,operation you'll be focused on marketing,adding new SKUs some of our clients,started with 10 SKUs ended up with a,hundred after they started warehousing,with us,your parents will always be safe at our,at our warehouse as we have cameras all,around our warehouse with 24-hour,surveillance from our security team as,well as you only can access our,warehouse through this access card now,in order to be a guest and come to our,warehouse you must sign in and be a,company to buy someone from a shipper,and have the approval from our warehouse,manager you can't come and drop by at,any time just give us a 24 hour notice,you can come over meet the team pick up,a sample inspect your items,we're always welcoming our customers,that come to our warehouse,you

hey guys welcome to e-shipper we're,gonna today we're gonna show you around,the warehouse one of our fulfillment,centers that we have here located in,brampton um in the general facility,where we have a few other warehouses too,which give you an overview,hey guys my name is michelle i am an,accountant,and this is steve he's a senior account,manager at each of her as well,awesome it's a cool day but happy black,friday let's go inside,okay,all right,so this is inside the warehouse um we're,going to actually take you in a few,minutes to go take a look at our,fulfillment center where the pick and,pack is done and we have a lot of our,e-commerce stores especially in this,warehouse particularly,so steve,as we go in do you want to tell us what,your customers are up to on this black,friday oh boy everyone's giving out a,lot of sales right now and uh they're,incentivizing a lot of people with,different uh types of shipping,incentives we're out here uh at the,fulfillment center we're working around,the clock,pretty much 24 7 right now to make sure,that all the orders go out,we've also,introduced some more different carriers,other than the main carriers that,everybody's used to just because we've,learned from the past how to make sure,that packages are getting to your,customers in a timely fashion to try and,avoid any delays everybody gets their,orders they get them on sale and they,get them on time whether they're,christmas gifts or just gifts in general,that's perfect so let's go take a look,at the warehouse right now you guys,ready,i'm going from here,okay,so as you guys can see we have a lot of,boxes,a lot of pallets a lot of boxes a lot of,black friday shipping being done,so come with us and we're going to take,a look at the warehouse,like we said our team's working around,the clock to make sure orders are going,out everything's coming in and going out,most of the part within the same day too,we have all the carriers ready to go,lined up whether orders are going on a,pallet or via courier like a post peer,later fedex dhl so on and so forth we're,shipping orders out domestically us with,some of our us services with usps,and we've just added some new services,and also internationally with,some of our international carriers which,we have some great services and rates,for,let's go take a look there's a lot of,buzz in here so,we're actually going to go check out,some of our pick and pack areas this is,where a lot of our e-commerce stores,especially in the isles they're because,they fit in smaller bins um they're all,done actually through all of these,aisles right here and this is where,we're gonna have to show you our pick,and pack team where they're pretty much,packing all of your black friday and,christmas orders,so we have some uh,we have some orders being sent out over,here,right here we got british,how's it going what are you working on,for your customers over here so i'm,working on packing these orders out for,my customers for the blackberry,going pret

so our business is called walks lead,what we do is make Canadian made,outerwear what makes us special is that,we use military-grade insulation and we,save a lot of animals in the process,it's been keeping people super warm and,the products and high-end demand and so,how we connected with a shipper is we,knew right off the bat that logistics,was gonna be a real challenge I remember,after a Kickstarter campaign we had,about $80,000 with the orders and we,spent about three days in my basement,just packing up the orders and we knew,we had to be out there selling the,product so partnering with East River,allows them to do what they're great at,that's logistics that's fulfilling,orders,that's warehousing and we concentrated,on selling developing great products so,the story of Loxley begins back in,Vancouver I was playing CFL football at,the time and I actually got traded back,to Toronto I was dating a Brazilian girl,at the time and so when I moved back to,Toronto I actually had to get her first,winter jacket I went out and there was,some great Canadian Maine winter jacket,companies but nothing that really fit my,lifestyle I always loved animals and I,wanted something animal free I ended up,making my girlfriend at the time her,first winter jacket and I guess it,worked out because she stuck around,she moved over from Brazil and we got,married now we have three kids where the,story of East River comes into play is I,knew what this company luckily that,shipping logistics you know it just,really wasn't my thing I create great,winter jackets I go out and sell market,design that's what I love to do,logistics is a whole nother layer to,building a brand and I knew if I wanted,to get good at that be great at that I,needed partner someone we ran into each,other and they've been a fantastic,partner shippi has been a trouble spot,since we started we need in our,Kickstarter campaign we had to deliver,200 jackets in a matter of three days we,just couldn't do it it took us about two,weeks people don't realize how much time,it takes to fold up a jacket put it in a,box do the Box make the shipping label,and then get it out there's so many,layers involved we,to pass us on and do what we were graded,and so that's where each shipper comes,in so our office is based in downtown,Toronto super high rent and to inventory,all that product cost a lot being able,to inventory it out and Branton huge,cost savings but it also gave us the,ability to ship on a lot of items really,quickly growing a brand is so many,layers you got to be on the trade shows,you got to be a consumer event so you,got to be you know swirling wine at,social events that's what I love to do,and so by outsourcing or shipping with a,shipper it allows me to get to these,events sell the product design the,product market the product and that's,what we're great at so partnering with,EDC was huge for us if they gave us the,confidence that we can go international,with their products they they secured,our loans they secu

Warehousing and Fulfillment (360 Solution) Explained!

hey guys my name is Ahmed and my name is,Steve and we're here today to tell you,guys about our 360 program and,warehousing and fulfillment alright guys,so the first element of our warehousing,and fulfillment is receiving basically,Isha prayer allows you to the,opportunity to schedule an inbound,shipments whatever order you're getting,through your supplier we can schedule,actually a shipment to pick up from,there and bring it back to our warehouse,when it comes to our warehouse our staff,gets to sign for it you get a,confirmation what time we received your,items the next step after receiving your,items would be the audit and inspection,there's multi multiple levels for audit,and inspection we have the standard one,so that's the one where we basically you,know make sure the number of boxes,matches your packing list as well as the,product is actually what you ordered now,based on the customers requests we can,do more thorough inspection so we can,actually for example apparel is one of,the most popular items that we warehouse,here we can make sure how many products,are in each box if the product is,damaged we can also make sure if we have,the exact number of each color and size,all of this could be coordinated based,on the customer's request,after we've done an audit for your,products and inspecting it what we'll do,next is enter it all into our inventory,management system called,a order now how we store it is you'll,see that we have it stored on a pallet,and we have the more unpopular items or,extra inventory in the back or on the,bottom and then the more popular items,that sell out the fastest we'll just,quickly grab it take it and go package,it and it's ready to go off to the,customer all right guys now we get into,packaging the package is what your,customer is going to receive and it,could be something very simple or it,could be something complicated all,depends on how you want to reflect your,brand in your package so it could be,something as simple as making sure we,have the right product with the right,label with the right customer put in the,box label and send it out for certain,products they go in a special bag and,after we add the product and make sure,we added the the correct color the,correct size then we include a slip with,a promo code sometimes we need to,include one of these as well and once,it's all done we place it in the bag we,put the label and it goes out to the,customer it all depends how you want it,our job here is to make sure that we're,doing it to satisfy or to address your,business needs,we have all the inventory available,online onto our order system that you,can track 24/7 all the way from the,boxes to your actual product - even if,you have silica gel packs for your,products

How Do Businesses Offer Free Shipping?

many times small and medium businesses,often ask how can i offer free or,extremely discounted shipping,like the big guys now you're looking at,things like walmart or best buy,or amazon they're offering free shipping,now,you can't compare yourself to an,extremely large business when you're a,smaller medium business,now there's a few things that you should,be aware of when you're trying to offer,shipping rates for your customer first,of all extremely huge shipping rates are,going to deter any customer if they're,going to go away they're going to find,something else,they're possibly willing to pay more for,a product,and less for shipping than they are to,pay a huge shipping fee and a cheaper,product,the first thing you have to be aware of,is the built-in costs now,no one's just giving free shipping,they're either putting it in the actual,cost of the product itself or they might,be splitting it so,the customer pays about fifty percent of,the shipping,discounting at say instead of ten,dollars it might be five dollars for,them that they see,and then the other five is built into,the product cost,or they could just give you the full ten,dollars,that you're going to pay for shipping,and obviously that deters most people,now the other thing you need to know is,your average profitability so based on,the product that you're having,you need to know how much profit you're,getting from it how much you have to,sell,to be able to actually cover your,shipping costs now just as a brief,example i wrote it down here my laptop,if you're selling a candle for five,dollars,it costs you four dollars you're making,one dollar now,for example if you have to pay seven,dollars for shipping then suddenly,you're,in the whole eight dollars plus,approximately a dollar for,shipping supplies as well so you're,already in the whole nine dollars and,you're not in the business of giving,gifts obviously,so what you'd want to be able to do is,increase the actual cost of the product,say that same five dollar candle becomes,a thirteen dollar candle,at the same time that's not so,attractive to many people,so if you do set a minimum amount that,you must order,for example someone's ordering 20,candles at five dollars a piece,that's 20 a profit you suddenly have to,work with so you're able to actually,cover,the shipping costs do keep in mind,obviously the more you're shipping the,more your costs are going to increase,so you might be getting more profit but,there's a bigger chunk coming out of,that as well but you're actually able to,offer free,or discounted shipping for the customer,now obviously one of the most important,parts,of this whole equation is knowing your,shipping costs,now for small medium businesses this can,be a huge cost because your volumes,might be very little,so you're getting some of the worst,rates out there so,with eship you're able to get some of,the greatest rates for small and medium,businesses that's up to 80,discount off the regular rates using the,same shipping compan

finding happening in a warehouse today,we're gonna go check out what was,happening here and if you know Tony,Robbins you're gonna get in our,warehouse were actually working on a,live shipment right now of context,there's an event going on Tony Robbins,from within and they left out to us late,are later towards the end of this week,saying that they needed an emergency,shipment fifty hundred units and each of,these units needed multiple products to,be faced with in it we took upon this,project absolute challenge try and make,sure that we meet their fulfillment,requirements if you like us right over,to the workstation that we did these are,always what we would usually within a,period of 72 readings because we believe,in our customer and we put together an,emergency team assembly line to ensure,that we meet this 1500 unit fulfillment,within less than a day's worth of work,for our clients absolutely,voted it's a welcome package which is,part of literally thousands of people,grateful it's an integral part of their,seminar and how each attendant there was,fifteen hundred shipments the e2b sets,out fifteen hundred shipments,individual individual into there with,this beautiful when you see with the,shipping company at the shipping and how,this is one time over here you can see,multiple dedicated staff for us as a,customs culture,on days one day basis how the founder of,our company is actually in touch with,grassroots projects and it's very much,in touch with customers really really,thank you so much it's an amazing,this is very very exciting a boss taking,so much I know the team is working,extremely hard downstairs to get,everything started so I know it was very,last minute as they're kind of just,getting things and needed 24-hour,turnaround time so we very much as,rolled up our sleeves many parts as,quickly as possible so I really created,these 540 Levin's team I know they just,being absolutely smashing me down here,getting very excited and there's just so,many cool projects and to help this many,individuals and along the entire Robbins,organization it's a very very exciting,time so we are helping it I know,applause probably mentioned a lot of,this we're helping them with even the,sourcing in the packaging so very last,minute we need to find like the,last-minute packaging it custom boxes,the actual printing if you think,consumers are gonna see it all that,within a weekend time so working on a,project like that there's a lot of,moving parts but if you have an absolute,team down here in terms of what they're,doing,unofficially during the whole copa90,situation that the one really much love,their sleeves get to work and about the,team it's there's nothing else more we,can ask for so I'm very excited for what,we're doing we're making a lot of,strides forward and I can't say actually,enough to the Tony Robbins team forth,really bringing this into effort and up,to speed with everything we want to,tackle so we're excited to get these out,into the end consumers a

Celebrating our 21st anniversary

hi my name is sonia i'm one of the,marketing interns here at easternburg,i'm nathanish i'm also one of the,marketing interns here at eastern,and this week east stripper is,celebrating their 21st anniversary we're,here with carol one of the sales reps,and i'm going to ask her,was actually working for a competitor,booking company,and i was with them for and,then i was in a little print shop and i,saw the esheeper platform,on uh client's computer and as soon as i,saw that i realized that was the future,of shipping,i called the owner of the company,uh,i saw this company they were two young,guys actually they're brothers,and living downtown toronto and they,have this cool product the salmon,dragon's den,actually and i called them i called the,company i spoke to them and started,talking,about what we could do for them shipping,etc they had that time they had,compostable recyclable bins basically,um we are now working with this company,they're called the green lid by the way,uh this company is just blowing up and,we,are doing everything for them we are,doing warehousing for them fulfillment,pick and pack,uh they now don't just have the one,product they have compostable,a recyclable single-use,ford's knives cutlery little plates made,out of bamboo that are compostable,straws made from chops and wheat,so straws that are compostable and safe,for ocean and everything,and this company is in every major,grocery store and we're gonna be in,costco shortly,shopping the other day longo's and i saw,their product and i took a picture and,sent it to my clients so,um yeah helping businesses grow from the,ground up,as just a startup looking for funding on,dragonstem 2 to,the really successful company that uh,they are,today and that they're going to continue,to be is really exciting,for us as reps okay,thank you and our last question is we,just want to know what each of our means,to you,yeah what issue i had i've had an,interesting career but what a shipper,means to me,at this point in my life is really,freedom a lot of freedom,the company has really been phenomenal,to me to all of us actually that,speaks my own experiences i just have a,tremendous amount of freedom,in terms of my work life um i work,remotely,i see clients i can call on clients i've,built up a book of business,i work part of the year out of mexico,um allowed me actually by property,mexico,and uh they've just been phenomenal and,uh supporting me in that journey and uh,very very grateful and,happy to be part of this uh family run,business,team it's been it's been awesome okay,thank you so much carol yeah,all right what are we doing now should,we do a tour of the office a,quick one or do we finish it,we still live by the way okay,okay this is nice,the most busy people in the room,this time you are actually live,and i'm not kidding this time,okay so that's the office and,okay thank you so much so just a mini,office tour,and we'll see you guys next time,and broadcast perfect

How to ship on Etsy! And set up your shop effectively.

today's video is going to be all about,shipping and on etsy using parcels and,then envelopes how to use them when to,use them what to use them for and then,how to set up your shop appropriately,for both and then all of your listings,for both as well when i first started my,etsy shop i found shipping to be the,most confusing thing i don't know if it,was just me but i found it to be,incredibly confusing,um and i found that i've been able to,really simplify,my shipping methods and how i ship,and once you get the hang of it it's not,confusing at all so hopefully that is,what you will learn during this video uh,before we jump,these are all the places that you can,find me online on instagram tech talk,etsy and then of course my website i do,have quite a few um blog articles that,are helpful,um for your cricut as well as etsy as,well and i've linked everything as usual,in the description in this video below,so if you have any questions please,comment right here on this video your,questions might answer somebody else's,quest,which is always helpful um when we can,share the knowledge so comment below but,let's get right into the video in terms,of how to ship using an envelope versus,a parcel,so the first thing you need to realize,when you're shipping is that you can,either ship in a envelope kind of mailer,or you can ship a parcel which is a box,so anything that is not,suitable to go in an envelope via letter,mail has to be a parcel and you have to,ship it as an actual parcel you can't,ship it using a letter mail so that's,the first thing to understand is the two,different ways to mail or ship things so,envelope,parcel the thing with the envelope is,that you're going to be using stamps and,depending on the weight,your cost and stamps is going to vary it,doesn't vary hugely um but your cost is,going to vary based on the weight like,you know 50 cents kind of thing,when it comes to a parcel your cost is,going to vary a lot depending on the,weight and depending on the size of the,box so,um using the parcel option especially in,etsy or your shopify or whatnot you,can't really tell how much it's going to,cost until you put it on the scale you,put the address in and you do the,shipping,um so that's why on etsy it's really,nice for the parcels to use the,calculated shipping option whereas for,the envelopes you can set your rate as a,fixed fee because you're pretty much,going to know how much it's going to,cost you to mail something um once you,do it a couple times unless you're you,know trying to stuff a hundred things in,here the weight is just insane,um,so as an example for this so this is a,gender reveal plaque that i sell in my,shop so i am going to just put it in,this little envelope i use uline for all,of my shipping for what i need to buy,this envelope i will link this and this,these are the mailers that i,specifically use and really love,um so this would be an item like this,would be totally suitable for an,envelope like this so i'm putting it in,here i'm

hey there guys my name is marcus and in,this video i'm going to present you the,best shipping softwares right now on the,market,so let's start the first one is a pirate,ship powder chip is a top notch if you,want to use usps,they got really good discounts what i,really like about pirate chip,is that they got just rates you don't,have any pricing plans so this is first,advantage,and also it's really simple to use it,when you would log in and create,accounting pirate ship,you would see that it feels like video,game and like the whole process,is really simple so if you're starting,out and you want to have like,just okayish automations you,pirate ship is really great because they,got usps,but it's kind of disadvantage if you,want to use anything else,so if you want to target only us r2 is,amazing,so that's a pirate ship like you know in,a few sentences,the next one is shippo shippo,is better in some ways comparing to,ira chip and what is that the first,thing is that they got,usps ups the io they got multiple,careers that you can use,also you can ship to europe let me show,you,you can go to europe you can go also to,australia so if you,want to go the international shipping,you can do that,also the huge advantage complex,like com comparing to the others is that,you have,pay as you go flexible plan what do i,mean by that,is that let's say that you are selling,swimming suits right you're going to,sell swimming so it's mostly in summer,in december you're not going to send so,much,so then you would have a lower,monthly label volume and that's amazing,also it feels really easy to use shippo,as the same is,as same as piracy but again i would go,honestly with the pirate chip if i want,to use only usps,if i starting out and i want to learn,how to work with things i'm going not,going to have,i don't know 500 shipments a,day and just like learning how to use,automations,shippo is amazing too with also,multi-core carriers options and,available to actually ship to,europe and australia so that's huge now,the next one,i prepared for you is easy ship easy,ship is also amazing,but use it if you want to do,international shipping so worldwide,shipping so if you want to go,australia germany europe uk i don't know,russia whatever,use easy ship for that that's like my,recommendation,only because they uh,offer warehouses that you can use also,with taxation,uh it's much simpler it's like top notes,on the market i believe with,easy ship and that's pretty much it so,use ps uh with if you want to use only,usps,go with the power chip if you want to go,with other carriers and you want to go,pay as you go i would go with a shippo,but also,you can use usbs and others with cheapo,the next one is an easy ship i would go,with the easy ship if i want to ship,worldwide,and the fourth one is,doo doo doo doo doo doo doo,chip station chip station is a top,notch and it's a pure winner here,why is that they got the most advanced,automations out of all of that,they got this they got all cage
