Google Tag Manager App by Elevar Install Instructions

hey this is Brad from Ella bar thank you,so much for downloading our app I'm,gonna walk you through a few quick steps,to get started two questions before you, begin one do you already have GTM,installed in your website if you do then, you will need to go through the steps of,removing your existing implementation, before fully launching our so you don't,have duplicate tags the second are you,on Shopify or Shopify plus if you aren't,shot by Plus then we do have access to,your checkout pages where we're able to,insert GTM as well as well as all the, data layer variables that are needed for,third-party tags or Google Analytics, alright on to the first step all we need,to do here is go to a tag manager grab, your container ID up in the top right, hand corner here and then copy that into, the configuration settings once you, click Save an update then all we're,doing is we're creating - if we're in,shop 5 or 3 if I'm shot five plus, snippets and inserting them into your, theme these snippets are inserting the, general Google tag manager snippet as,well as all the data layer logic that,we're using to pull data from Shopify, and translate that into Google tag, manager data layer variables that then, can be used throughout your third party,or analytics tags second step as we,talked about that you will need to walk, through the process of removing your, existing GTM script we go through a,little bit more detail here to help you,out during that process, third step configure your checkout Thank,You page all we need to do here is copy, this code that is in within this block, and then we'll click on this link that, will take you to your checkout settings, page and you'll go down to your, additional scripts paste this in save, and then that's it you're done the next, steps are gonna take us to Google tag, manager we have a pre-built container, that you can download that has all of,the tags triggers and variables that you, need to use to map to all the data that, were creating at your Shopify store all,you need to do is download this, container that we've included and once, you have downloaded that go over to,Google tag manager and add,and in court container juice container, file they've just downloaded choose your, workspace choose your import option so,something very important here please, select merge do not select overwrite you, will lose out on your data this will, show you all of the tags triggers and, variables that you're importing again, these are all pre created you don't need,to do anything here click confirm and, this will import all these variables, into your GTM account we do have a,folder here that contains three, variables that we called out they need,to update after install all these are, they're just just constants where you,can change out to your unique AdWords ID,or the Google Analytics property ID or,your container ID once you have that, updated then you'll see on the tag so we,have all of your adwords and dynamic, remarketing tag set up here by default,we have these paused again just

Shopify GTM Suite: How to Update AdWords Remarketing Parameters

Shopify GTM Suite: How to Update AdWords Remarketing Parameters

everyone this is Brad from Ella var, today I'm gonna show you how to quickly, update your Google tag manager container,to meet the standards that Google Ads,just released a few weeks ago they, rolled out a new custom parameter, tracking requirement that changes the,way that our GTM suite was previously, sending data to Adwords they haven't,stopped supporting the old way but I,have started to see some new errors that, pop up basically saying hey we're you're,not sending this required parameter in,the Google ads help Docs you'll see the, remarketing events right here go over a,new way it's not a not a huge change,it doesn't require any code base changes, but it is a new way to send this data, and this is the big thing as they're,looking to send the business-type so all,you can go ahead and take a look at this, article that we have linked up and the, help Docs i'm gonna quickly show you, assuming that you've already implemented, the Google tag manager suite and, imported our GTM container previously I,want to be sure to walk you through on a,video screen share of how you can make, that update pretty quickly and test it,yourself so I'm gonna go ahead and walk, through the process this is the demo, site that we have linked from the App,Store and you'll see the old way if we,go back to just a summary here we have, all of our AdWords - G tag for cart, miscellaneous pages product pages etc on,a specific product page we are sending, very similar data that will be making, updates to but you'll see we're sending,to the AdWords account conversion ID the,Product ID total value and page type so,this is the old way we're doing it we do,have a little help helpful checklist, here that'll just walk you through each, step that you'll have to take and again, this hopefully that won't take more than, five or ten minutes every time to go,through an import update and test inside,of Google tag manager so this is a test, account here that I have on our demo, store and this is the the non plus, version of the container that you import, you'll see that the AdWords G tag, eggs right here all we need to do is,head over on into the admin we're going,to import the new container that we have, listed in the help Docs and then on the, workspace I'm actually gonna go ahead, and do a new workspace just to test so,we'll do our adwords container this will, carry over everything from your default, container and now this is an important, step obviously I don't want you to,delete any of your data but what we'll,do here is we actually want to select, merge so we're gonna merge this, container with your existing container, and then you might see a few modified, triggers or variables here or even tags, for that matter and this is an important, step so we we actually did make a few, improvements to the Facebook tags as,well so if you are using Facebook tags, through GTM these have been updated as,well basically we're passing some, additional data that you can leverage, and then you'll see we've also made some, changes to our two trigger

How to Use GTM DataLayer to A/B Test Shopping Cart on Google Optimize

How to Use GTM DataLayer to A/B Test Shopping Cart on Google Optimize

hey this is Brad from Ella var and I'm,gonna show you how to use a data layer, variable that comes with a GTM Suite app, that we have on Shopify and we're gonna, use just an example of a high Kart value,so think about a customer who if your, average order value is 40 50 $60 and, they have a cart value of 3 4 or $500,you might want to use that to trigger, some sort of messaging change or test or,or promo or just basically something to,get them farther along their journey, again this is just an example of how to,leverage the data layer that comes with,a GTM Suite app that we have on Shopify, and we're gonna use Google optimize to,show a test on how to take advantage of,this on the test store that I have here, that the L of our merchandise I already, have four products here where my cart, value is five hundred and sixty dollars, roughly and with the GTM preview mode, open you'll see you see here if we go to,variables and then just go go to the, window loaded event and we'll scroll, down here and you'll see we have the, cart total value five hundred fifty nine, dollars so that's that's now a piece of,data that we can use in a test so within,Google optimize I have a pretty simple, test setup here all I'm going to do is,just change our banner up top here so,this is just a free shipping over a,hundred dollars, obviously the customer has surpassed, that by quite a bit I'm actually going,to change that banner to make it a,little bit more prominent and include a,little bit of a discount so there's a,couple things one is we have the the, test which I'll just show you in preview, mode here in a second then we also need,to make sure that we are targeting not, only the page which is the cart but,we're also targeting this data layer, variable so what I have set up here, within Google optimize is let's just, show you if we add a rule here you'll,see all the different options that are, available that you can use to trigger, this test to ultimately display for, customers and this example we're using a,data layer variable so the data layer, variable that I've created,it's called cart total and it's pretty, simple the cart total data layer, variable name here,is exactly what we actually see go to,our data layer and you'll see the cart, total data layer variable right here is,exactly what we're using this optimize, test so I've gone ahead and created this, cart total and I've have a rule here, greater than $500 so now this test will, trigger based on the user being on the, cart if they have a total greater than,$500 the last thing that you'll need to,do here is if you are using the data, layer variable and optimize is this, activation event by default this will, just be on page view so if we go down, here we go to page view this will be,this is an soon as it page loads that's,what's going to control whether this, page or this test actually triggers what,we actually want to do is go back here, you'll see this is set to a custom event,of GTM load instead of just the standard,so page load and then where you can f

How to Setup Google Optimize on Shopify [Updated April 2019]

How to Setup Google Optimize on Shopify [Updated April 2019]

hey this is Brad from hello VAR I'm,going to show you how to set up Google, optimize on Shopify and Shopify plus and, this video was shot April ninth 2020,just kidding,2019 so this is the latest update for, optimizing Shopify had a few questions,in the comments so I'm just gonna show, you how this works and it's tested on,the most up-to-date version of Google, optimize a few things we're going to,need Google optimize setup so you'll,need to have your own account and, container created and then we'll also, need Google tag manager, well I'll actually implement google, optimized through Google tag manager and, then you'll also need to have your,Shopify admin pulled up so we can, implement not only the GTM script but, also the google optimized page hiding, flicker tag when you are inside of,google optimize you'll see if you have, this is your first time setting up,optimize you'll have to go through the, setup process previously you'd have two, steps you have the optimized ID that you,can then put into the additional script, setting for google app analytics then, you'd have a second step for, implementing the page hiding flicker tag,or flicker effect tag whatever it's,called now it's just one step so they, give you this snippet it's using the, global G tag GTECH GS and it's actually, implementing optimize in the same line, that you're seeing your Google Analytics, property ID here the problem with this,if you copy this in the Shopify shop I,actually strips out the Chi tag using, the previous version of the analytics,JavaScript library so this does not work,no big deal because we can implement it,through GTM all you'll need to do here,is copy this container ID within google, optimize and then within Google tag, manager under tags is you'll just want,to go ahead and create a new tag called,Google optimize it's actually a,pre-configured tag you can grab here so,you have Google optimized copy or,container ID and then under your Google,Analytics, things you do need to select the, variable here one quick important call, out here for this is if you already have,a G a variable or if it's a new one is,just be sure that you have the allow, linker field is set to true,I'll just reload this real quick,if you've utilized optimize in the past, and you may have seen some warnings that, your the linker the allow linker is,different between your GA your UGA and,GTM account so we just need to ensure, that this allow linker is set to true, because that's what the Shopify,Analytics values multiplied the field is,also set to by default so you have very, loud linker set this to true and your, field is set that's good so again just,to recap you have your Google optimized, tag with your optimized container ID and, then your whoo and I looks very well, here you should just ensure that you, have the allow linker is set to true, that's it,so that's all you need to do within,Google app Google tag manager now inside,of Shopify if you already have Google, tag manager implemented it might look, like this or if you're using o

AWS Summit SF 2022 - Using AWS Key Management Service for data protection (SEC303)

AWS Summit SF 2022 - Using AWS Key Management Service for data protection (SEC303)

(gentle music),Hello, I'm Jeremy Stieglitz,,and for the next hour, or maybe a little faster,,I'll be discussing AWS Key Management Service, for data protection.,I'll do this presentation in two parts.,The first part, we'll look at an overview,of the Key Management Service,,what it does, how it's built,,how to reason about some of the constructs, and patterns that we use at AWS for data protection.,The second half of this presentation,,we'll look at best practices in three areas,,protection, performance, and policy,,and we'll have some tips and guidelines, for how to think about and design a data protection strategy, that gives you better protection, performance,,and policy management.,By way of introduction, I've been in cryptography, since the mid-'90s with roles at RSA, Entrust, Cisco,,and more recently, Voltage Security.,It's a fun space, and for folks that are interested,in coming and joining the crypto team at AWS,,we're expanding and growing.,And so, I'd encourage you to take a look,at our jobs that are posted on jobs.amazon.com.,For today's presentation,,I wanted to just set the stage right away, with how to think about AWS' cryptography stack,,and I'm using a sort of quasi-OSI model,,for those of those folks familiar, with the OSI stacked model of networking.,Our cryptography is deployed across the entire stack.,So we have technologies to secure at link one,,optic connections between our buildings,,all the way up to the application layer.,I'm not gonna be focusing too much,on the network and transport level security services.,We have a raft of other technology,,a raft of other presentations for that.,My focus today is at the application layer.,We're gonna be looking at essentially, data at rest technologies.,How do you lock data in place?,How do you lock data in a database?,How do you lock data in your storage systems?,And occasionally, how do you lock data,in some of your streaming services, like Kinesis?,But the emphasis of my presentation will be on data at rest.,What is key management?,Key management is a number of things.,We like to think that the key management is,the hard part of managing a cryptographic system.,In order to lock things, you clearly need keys.,In order to lock things, you clearly need encryption.,Those are the building blocks of cryptography.,At a slightly higher level,,you need to reason about your keys.,Are they being securely created?,Do you have the right authorization, for who can use those keys?,Are you accounting and creating an audit trail, for who's using those keys?,Are you attaching the right keys to the right data?,If you disassociate the connection between your key,and your lock, you're going to be stuck, with that lock forever.,You may have felt that in the real world.,If you've moved houses,,chances are you've found a bunch of keys, that are hard to map back to what locks they belong to.,Those are some of the problems that KMS works on,,secure creation of keys, policy management of keys,,auditability of keys, and
