Okay low key there some brand out that's going to watch and be like "Dammit!",Wait man those are ours! Just so you know I use these headphones like everyday.,Oh that looks great dude. That looks great as it is. I think being a,perfectionist with everything is just goes into like passion right? I think you,can tell a lot by someone's work.,What is going on Indy Mogul my name is,Ted. Today we're talking about commercial product shots and how you can get this,basically next to no budget and any camera so for this today I got my buddy,Justin Jones over here This is Justin we've shot a ton of,commercial products shots over a really long period of time so today we're gonna be,doing this totally from scratch so Justin when you shoot product shots what,kind of camera do you usually shoot? Usually it's like a RED Weapon or,Alexa Mini -- Cool don't care here we go. You are going to be shooting with this camera.,Okay, DSLR. 6D 1080p Mark 2, yep ok does,not shoot 4k this is a consumer DSLR by most means it's a great DSLR don't get me wrong,It does the job but you're gonna be shooting with this, have shot with this camera before? I,have not. Cool using this we're gonna shoot a headphones ad,let me get the headphones real quick let me find these where do we put the headphones?,Is this it? I think these are this $18 headphones off Amazon. Are you ready to,make these look like commercial footage? Yes I am. Good so starting off what is,our first step when we're trying to light a commercial? So first step is,finding a location and a backdrop that's gonna suit your needs for the actual,product shot in this case we're gonna go for an infinite black setup so today,we're here at my studio and we have a full black wall so we're gonna just go,ahead and start with getting everything set up in that location. Sounds good so,got a table over here we're gonna pop this open. So now the next thing we want,to do is make sure that we have enough distance from our wall so we don't have,light spilling onto it since we're going for infinite blacks. So we need to move,this away from the wall. Okay sounds good. We need some kind of like really,beautiful surface to actually shoot the product laying on top of so we have a,black acrylic which is reflective but it still gives us that black infinite. What,is that you got there? So this is our next secret so with the acrylic we're,going to put that on top of a spinning lazy susan that way,we can get our products spinning around and kind of capture all the details of,it without having to move too much. And if you can't afford an electronic,spinner I know in the Gear industry they like to overprice a lot of things you,can find a lazy susan. Sure yeah the manual ones and you could also use,camera movement to move around your item instead of actually using a Lazy Susan so next,I think we should just set our product on there and then we're gonna go ahead,and start lighting. all right people today i want to show,you a way you can make a little bit of,extra cash from the comfort of your own,home or anywhere for that matter i know,when i was a broke college kid living in,a dorm room this would have been the,perfect side hustle for me as someone,who likes to dabble in photo video and,editing and the beauty of this method,i'm going to show you in these,techniques is that you don't need a,camera you don't need a studio you don't,need lighting in fact all you really,need is a phone a phone that can take,photos which is pretty much any,smartphone nowadays you need a phone you,need a window and that's that's about it,in the cup and a couple little extra,things on the computer here's a photo i,took on my iphone with completely,automatic settings in front of a window,with no additional lighting you're going,to want to make sure that the photo is,taken with the product directly in front,of the window because if the window is,to the side of the product you will end,up with some nasty looking glare on your,packaging like this here we are in final,cut pro x our photo here by default is,about four seconds long i'm gonna drag,it out to six seconds because i feel,like that's a good length for a pre-roll,ad on youtube so here is our photo that,is now six seconds long and i do want to,cut it out from the background now if,you use a blue screen or a green screen,this makes it a lot easier but for me,when i was in college living in a dorm i,didn't have those things so i'm showing,you how to do it without that so i'm,gonna go in here to the draw mask tool,and i'm gonna drag it onto our footage,here or i guess i should say photo not,footage and i'm going to zoom in so that,i can start drawing a mask around our,packaging if i click and drag we get,these little bezels that let us round,out the edges to make it smooth this,doesn't have to be perfect by any means,but you do want to take your time,because if you rush it and you end up,redoing it you're just wasting yourself,even more time all right so we are,getting close to the end here i'm going,to connect our last piece of the mask,and we now have our packaging nice and,isolated from the background now the,edge of course will not be perfect right,off the bat which is why we have some,tools in here that we can mess around,with i'm gonna go into the transforms,and i'm gonna scale this down to 99,to shrink our edge a little bit and then,i'll feather it out by about 10 just to,smooth everything out and i think that,looks pretty good we'll zoom back out,and here is the original shot and here,is the packaging isolated off the,background now our next step which is,going to seem a little bit,counter-intuitive but i promise you,there is a reason for this is we're,going to want to bring in a green solid,in behind so i'm going to use a custom,generator here shrink it down to size,and i'm going to set the color of our,generator to a nice vibrant green now,the reason we do this is because the,next step i

what's going on you guys Zack here from,preemie beat calm I feel what's it going,on you guys Zack here from preemie my,shirt is falling down and I feel like,I'm exposing myself a little bit too,much okay so you're probably watching,this because you want to learn a little,bit more about how to shoot better,product videos so that might be a cell,phone a piece of gear or potentially,just like you want to shoot a mug you're,like this needs to look cool so I'm,gonna talk about my process on how to do,this on a bit of a budget and what you,can utilize by just from like household,items to maybe some like product lights,but how to do this with hardly any money,and minimal gear okay so for pretty much,every single setup the three key things,you're gonna need is obviously your,product a nice table and good lighting,now what I'm gonna start off is a little,bit more of the professional setup and,then kind of trickle down to the more,lower budget no budget sort of way so to,do it on a bit of a budget you're gonna,need like what I'm gonna be utilizing is,like this nice little soft box that I,have available and I have a link to it,in the description below but basically,it's just like one of these cheap soft,boxes and when you're lighting your,product you want it to be nice and toppy,looking down so it creates minimal,shadows it lights the table really,nicely and what I'm gonna do is have the,softbox over top kind of glowing on top,of the subject and then to create a bit,of dynamic Ness of the product what I'm,gonna do is just like fan it around to,create almost like a spotlight effect,and what that's gonna do is show details,and different areas that you don't,necessarily see it if you're watching,this sort of like car commercials or,like cell phone commercials what they do,is they have a moving rotating light,that can create this effect now if,you're doing this on a bit more of a,lower budget what you can utilize is,actually just your cell phone,flashlights and then just put it on and,just kind of like go around your object,and what I like to do is actually create,like a fan effect so I'm just kind of,going like spinning around like that to,create that dynamic shadow then another,thing is just make sure you have like a,nice table so fine like for me I like,finding like a nice wood table if I'm,doing something like vintage II item or,something that,a little bit more hipster a nice like,solid wood table works really well but,if you're doing something a little bit,more serious have like a nice white,blank table if you're shooting this on a,budget you can actually just get a white,piece of bristol board and then have,that on your table and then then that,Creek kind of creates a dynamic table,aspect and then if you're shooting with,more of a spotty lights and you're doing,this again on a budget,just shadow out the background trying,you to lie the least amount of light in,the background and so you have a little,bit more contrast between the background,and your main s

if you're new to editing video i can,understand how that can be very,frustrating and just a daunting task,every time you make a video but what if,i could tell you that that doesn't have,to be the case because i believe like,with anything in life when you get the,foundations right that you can actually,grow and succeed in whatever it is so,that's why in this video i'll be sharing,my five simple steps to editing any,video so that you can start crushing,your edits today let's go you gotta just,press record hey what's up it's omar's,corey with think media and this channel,is all about helping you build your,influence here on youtube and sometimes,we actually do that by sharing the best,tools whether it's cameras lighting or,audio as well as some editing tutorials,so that you can level up your edits and,get people to stay and watch your video,and so if you're interested in that be,sure to hit that subscribe button but,the first thing i would encourage you to,implement into your workflow is to get,organized like this is before you even,open up the program and so here i have,my macbook pro i'm just going to start a,new folder and actually like to title it,with the date and then the video title,and so today is 2022.03,15.,and then i'm going to title this how to,start,a,podcast and so we're just getting uh,ready to edit and then we're going to,open up the folder and create a folder,inside of it called a-roll now this is,gonna be all the footage from your,talking head like what you're seeing,right now this is talking head i would,throw this clip into my a-roll folder,and then if you have b-roll meaning,footage that shows what you're,demonstrating or anything else other,than your a-roll or talking head video,that you would throw it into a b-roll,folder,in this example i won't necessarily have,b-roll up front but i'll show you how,you can get some without having to shoot,it yourself however now that i got my,folder all situated and ready to go i,can drag my clips in from either my,smartphone or my sd card now quick tip,is if you are running out of space on,your computer or laptop i really would,encourage you to invest into an external,drive and specifically i love using ssds,uh this samsung t7 ssd is two terabytes,large and it's very small and one of my,favorite things about ssds generally,speaking is that they're just really,fast and so i'll post links to some of,our favorites down in the description,below but this is if you are running out,of space or you want to keep your files,on a drive this is probably the best way,around it when it comes to video editing,but as you can see i just use my desktop,to create that folder now i'm going to,throw my sd card into my computer and,then i'm going to drag this a-roll into,the a-roll folder i'm going to open up,this,folder go to private i don't know why,sony does this to their files but this,is what sony does and here are my two,talking head videos as you can see right,here,i made a video on how to start a podcast,

Hi I', Steve from Mills Motion and today I want to share with you five tips for shooting,better product demo videos.,Just recently I had the opportunity to shoot a demo video for a client and there were a,few things that I discovered that I thought would be helpful for anyone wanting to create,their own product demo video.,So before we jump into the tips let's check out the finished product.,So what your saw just there was an except from a larger product demo video that I created,for a client.,But want I want to show you in this video is how you can shoot really nice shots for,your next product demo video or promotional video.,Here are my top 5 tips.,Tip #1 for making a product demo video.,Take some time thinking bout and setting up you shot.,In cinema talk there is a thing called "mis en scene",Thats the concept of telling a story with what is in your shot, or in the frame of your,video.,We see this so often in advertising and anyone can use it.,Take this watch for example.,What we see inside this product shot not just a watch on a wrist.,There is actually a story being told.,So what does it make the viewer subconsciously think?,We can assume that it is a man's watch, that it is high quality and it is probably outside,of my budget...,All of this has been conveyed without even saying a word.,Now we can do the same thing wiht our promotional videos and our produce demo videos.,In my product demo video I was shooting a hot air plastic welder and therefore I wanted,to have a slightly grittier look and feel.,I didn't want it to be just stark white.,So I went and found a nice wood grain bench and a wood grain lazy suzan that would really,help me to get those nice spinning shots...,But more on that in a moment.,Its amazing the difference that taking a little bit of extra effort thinking about what goes,into your frame will have in the quality of your final video.,Maybe if you are filming a golf product why not head out to a golf course?,Or if you are selling a kitchen appliance, why not film in a kitchen.,Add some detail to your scene by,Take some time thinking about where to film and what that setting will say about your,product.,Step 2 filming a product demo video,Set up your camera correctly for your product shoot.,So for my product video I knew I wanted to slow down some of the shots in post production.,That meant I needed to set my frame rate as high as possible.,60 frames per second...,Next Set your white balance correctly...,This is a very easy thing to do but it will make a big difference to the quality of your,final shot.,Now your white balance determines how blue or orange your shot appears.,Setting it correctly white help make sure you have the correct colours coming across,in your final shot.,It will really help to make your product pop and the vividness of your colours really stand,out.,And finally try and keep the ISO on your camera as low as possible.,Although increasing your ISO can help brighten up your shot.,It can also introduce some
