hi and welcome back to my channel again,for those of you who have,seen some of my videos or followed my,journey for a while you know that,i've had a couple of instances now where,i've had either my content,copied or my entire website copied,yeah it's that old right click,copy and paste syndrome that's been,affecting me,uh for quite some time now and i've been,looking into the effects of it,the how it affects your rankings and how,it can affect,your traffic across your website,if either you use duplicate content,or somebody else takes your content and,puts it on their website,now actually believe it or not it can be,more detrimental if somebody else,takes your content and uses it on their,website,particularly if their website is classed,as a more authoritative,website than yours they have a d a,ranking which is a moz,um rankine factor and that says,how authoritative the website is and,they class it as a domain authority d,air you'll often see it now you can,check the authority of your website or,other people's websites by,downloading the free mods tool and that,will,show you the dea authority and also the,page authority,of any article or website you want to,check now,like i said believe it or not it can be,actually more detrimental if i if,another,website actually copies your content and,puts it on their website,now i thought that would really penalize,them,and apparently not um what it'll do is,it'll actually,cause you to be um not necessarily,penalized because,um what you'll see is just a downturn in,traffic on that one,article for some reason it seems that if,a higher demand authority website copies,your content,certainly if it's a certain percentage,of that article,that it'll actually do you more harm,than it will then now i've had a couple,of,instances of copying i've had i've added,where somebody has literally copied my,entire website,headings images content everything and,that didn't actually have much,effect on me it only took about six,weeks for,google to realize that that was total,garbage and total,duplicate content and that website was,taken down,but i've also seen the effects on one of,my website fishkeepingforever.com,where it looks like somebody else has,actually stolen my content,or used certainly a high percentage of,my content,on their website now because they're a,higher domain authority,website google seems to believe that,their content is actually theirs,so what it's doing is looking at mine,and penalizing me,for them stealing my content that's,totally unfair right,it seems ridiculous that actually,there's this loophole within the system,and there is uh and there is some other,tactics that's often used by you know,uh black hat uh negative black at,seo people who can actually,pull your website down uh by doing some,of these tactics,so what we'll talk about today is,actually how you can protect yourself,from it,so i personally believe that the biggest,percentage of duplicate content comes,from people,um copy and pasting text fro
