hey everyone today I am going to be,talking about mega menus that sounds,really kind of boring but it's also very,large,for your Shopify store it's an amazing,little feature that really kind of,allows customers to see that you know,you got multiple products without having,to click on shop and go into a landing,page or a collections page you know this,is a good way of just kind of getting,things out there so I want to show you,really first what a mega menu is and,then I'll dive in and you know show you,how easy it is to configure one so on,Shopify actually have the Shopify,booster theme open right now which does,have some mega menu capability actually,built in but today we're actually not,going to be using a theme mega menu,we're going to be using an outside app,it's called buda mega menu and I'll go,into that in a second but to kind of,show what a mega menu is it's right here,if you're looking at the screen you got,different categories without having to,go to a collections page you you can,pretty much go to men or women or kids,or accessories and you know just choose,t-shirt or hoodies or whatever it may be,this to me is still not the you know,captivating visual piece that I'm,looking for so I'm actually going to,take this a step further and the app,that I'm going to use again called,Buddha this is actually their demo right,here they allow you to do multiple types,of mega menu options so you got the tree,option right here which you know again,lets you like drill down really quickly,without having to go into another page,you're still on your homepage I'm you,know my wife or whatever and she's about,to go buy some new shoes that sounds,about right,you know you're gonna be able to go here,and go to pumps and you know see all,your different pumps really quickly,their app is actually a test page so we,did not get to some jewelry,just kind of a fair heads-up but that's,what the tree setup is it's you know,allows you to drill really quickly into,different things then there's a simple,version which is really cool because you,got your categories here you have you,know sports home and garden home,services ease all that kind of stuff,then you can actually even try to put,some you know essentially some marketing,around some of your bestsellers so you,got your bestsellers here and you can,show that you know one of these products,is sold out or even if you have the,functionality on Shopify to show like,remaining items so there's only three,left or whatever you can try to push,those products even without having to go,to that page so really powerful right,there newest products all your new,things that are right there and then you,can actually put in two different images,here are two different products here to,kind of again put some focus on those,specific products so that's what the,simple set up looks like there and then,you have the tabbed which sounds a,little or even looks a little bit kind,of you know complicated but it is really,powerful because it actuall

[Shopify Dawn Theme] How To Add Mega Menu - 2023

hi guys welcome back to WebSensePro youtube channel I'm your host Bilal Naseer ,and today we will be adding a mega menu in our dawn theme ,and after adding the mega menu you will have your mega menu showing up like this,where you can have submenu items displayed properly and improve the layout of your ,theme so if you want to learn please watch the video till the end let's jump into the code,so guys this is how the default menu of dawn theme looks like now in order to add a little ,spice with the mega menu all you need to do is add an app so go to the back end of your Shopify store,and from the dashboard click on apps,and from apps click on customize your store ,so the app which we are installing is a free app where you don't need to pay anything and you can ,easily add a mega menu to your store now in apps search for Buddha mega menu and that's the app ,which we'll be installing to add in the mega menu to our dawn theme now click on this that's the app,and from this menu click on add app,now it's asking uh for your app to be connected with your store and authorize ,the access now click on install app,now it's showing up the paid and free package we will be using free version, for now, ,in paid version we can have many many features like live icons animated icons, ,and multiple styles of the mega menu for now we'll just choose the free plan,okay now after selecting the free app you will have an initializing app screen,okay here's the dashboard of buddha apps mega menu now click on the first menu item we can just add ,the home icon static icons and select home which will be linked to home page add in that now add in ,our mega menu item which will have multiple sub menu columns first add in the main menu,so i'll be adding services,which will not link anywhere you can link it uh to any of your inner page to product page ,blog page or any of the custom web address if you want to but for now in order for the sake ,of the tutorial i'll just click on no link now click ok and in this menu item we will create ,sub-menu which will have five columns now click on these three small lines ,and select on simple so in free version we only have the simple one we don't have ,any other styles of the sub menu unfortunately because it's a free version so we'll select on ,simple and now in here we will create our five columns or you can say five list items,first list,now we are adding our second list,okay guys so i have created five columns ,the way i showed you guys and i also added a sub menu item as you can see we have uh items ,showing up on each list we can add multiple items on each list and our mega menu will look,awesome like this and after adding all of your item click on save,so our mega menu item has been saved successfully and that's how it will look ,like once you hover over it now let's click on this button here add and design mega menu,so here it will have an option to select the menu if you have multi

06 Mega Menu Extended Training

hey Phillip this is all in Houston and,in this video I'm going to show you a,little bit about how to use the mega,venue to edit and adjust your menu tabs,on the top of the page so what will be,editing if you look at the left side of,the screen is this the top menu here and,in this video I'm going to show you how,you can add remove and edit these items,here so you'll see that the same four,categories you have your business,resources book / videos language,learning and the agency directory by,right here in the horizontal bar and as,you mouse over them it will show you the,drop down for each now as a question to,my last meeting what we're going to do,is put these two learning tools section,together into a singular section called,learning tools so what I'm doing now is,I went and I added a section called,books and I'm in the classes of adding,these items here into the subcategory of,books and then as I add them i can,simply delete them from where they were,before so we still have Asia Africa and,Europe already let's go ahead and delete,Asia the lead Africa and delete Europe I,see here Latin American it's currently,being tied to the collection Latin,American business so simply mouse over,the one I want to add add this,subcategory to type in the name of it,Latin America click this drop-down menu,to find collection and then look up the,Latin American business section just,like we saw before and then what does,complete I'll just simply delete that,and then instead want to edit with as,books and videos I want to change this,to learning tool I'll betcha book see,this is just the icon so that little,image you see on the side they have a,whole bunch of different icons you can,choose from and to get also searches so,since know how did that book here I just,typed in book and we gotta bookmark,Facebook and a port page book so sense,was going to be turning this into,description learning school i'll,probably leave it as a book just because,that's an icon is pretty indicative of,learning new information and then as far,as collection goes i want to send it to,all products and then later on what i,can do is set up a specific page that,simply has a description of each of the,language needs to global business tools,that we offer and provides a better,looking picture as is right now though,let's just have it go to an all product,page until we develop that website or,webpage so that I can continue adding,the lease so add item name Middle East,election third for release in business,okay leave it and then last but not,least it's going to be global business,and then we're just going to add this,final collection of our global business,items,and that sense this breaks out in the,multiple section we can go ahead and add,little different marketing find the,collection for that,oh yes and I said we'll just use general,categories right now so now that I've,got all the books attached to this menu,I'll choose I just deleted the whole,thing so that's exactly what not to do,and unfor

hello and welcome to the ED of the,sandbox video guide for the flex themed,mega menu feature the Flex theme,includes a highly customizable mega menu,to enhance your shops navigation up to,10 mega menus can be enabled within the,themes built in settings and can have up,to 6 columns each mega menus can be,added to any of the header layout,options available in the Flex theme,let's get started by setting up our,first mega menu in order to set up a,mega menu you'll need to create a main,menu and your navigations panel and the,Shopify admin once you've done that you,can head into your theme editor to,enable the mega menu just head in the,theme settings select mega menus and you,can enable your mega menu here you can,choose from 1 up to 10 mega menus to,enable but today we're just going to go,with the one once you've done that you,can head back into sections and you'll,see this mega menu section is now,appeared all the settings for the mega,menu will be available here as well as,the content blocks content blocks are,how you actually configure the content,in your mega menu by default there will,be some content blocks already added for,you however you can just remove them to,start fresh,in order to add a content block you'll,just click add content the available,content blocks add in your mega menu are,a custom HTML menu image mixed featured,product featured promotion an empty,column when setting up your mega menu in,order to get it to appear you'll need to,enter a link title the link title will,need to match the link in the main menu,that you want the mega menu to appear,below so if I want the mega menu to,appear below the shop main menu link,I'll need to enter shop as the link,title the link title must match the,wording of the main menu link exactly,after we do that let's configure the,content blocks for the mega menu and,then move on to the other settings so,scroll down to content add content and,here we can choose from the available,content blocks in order to start setting,up our columns so let's start with menu,you can select a menu from your existing,navigation menus if you need to create,another menu you can do so here add in,this one you can then link up the,heading of your menu so this will be the,title of whatever menu you have you can,link this up if you'd like,can add an image,you can add a link to the image if you'd,like this is also optional but maybe you,want to link it up to a specific product,or a specific collection,if you want to add an image caption you,can do so in this text field below but,you also can just leave it blank if you,don't want that to show up featured,product you can choose a product from,your shop if you really want to show,something off this will then link to,that product page have the product title,and the price available,you can add some more text if you'd like,this is a rich text editor so you could,link it up you can bold it you can add a,featured promotion here so you can,choose whatever image you like for the,futu

Shopify Navigation Menu Tutorial (inc Nested Menus & Mega Menu)

what's up guys i'm paul from e-commerce,gold and in this video i'm going to go,through and show you what it's like to,set up a navigation menu in shopify so,let's get started,all right so to get started with your,navigation menus you first need to go,into your shopify dashboard,obviously click on online store and,click on navigation and this will bring,up all the navigation menus that are,available for your store now by default,shopify adds two menus which are the,footer menu and the main menu but what,if you want to add an additional menu,well this is very simple to do,simply click on add menu in the top,right and then we want to add a title,for this menu so we'll call it test menu,original i know and then you want to add,any menu items i'm going to cover this,more in a second and then set the handle,for your menu as well now by default,shopify will pull this from the title,which for most menus is going to work,perfectly but if you want to create a,custom menu handle you can edit this,here,one thing to know is you can't have,spaces in the handle if there are spaces,so as you can see here between test and,menu you need to use a hyphen instead of,a space the same way you would in a url,but once you're happy with your menu and,you want to,basically add it to your menu options,simply click save menu,then go back into the navigation home,page basically and you'll see that the,test menu has been added to your list of,available menus but what if you want to,delete a menu well this is once again,very simple to do simply click on the,menu item,and you'll see there's a delete menu,button here at the bottom,click on that and this pop-up will,appear asking you to confirm that you,want to delete this menu click on delete,and that menu has been deleted now you,can't do this with the two default,options available from shopify so if you,click on footer menu there's no delete,option and it's exactly the same for the,main menu these two can't be deleted,and for your main store menu i'd,recommend just editing the default menu,this one the main menu,rather than creating a custom one,because well,i just don't see the point of creating a,custom one we can just go in and edit,one that's already there and can't be,removed anyway,so to go in and edit this simply click,on,the main menu link and you can go in and,you can change the title of this menu if,you want to if you feel the need,but what if you want to add items to,this menu which is obviously what you're,going to want to do well to do this we,want to click add menu item here and,you'll see this sidebar pop-up appears,there's two options available here the,first one is the name so this is going,to be the name of the link that's,displayed on the front end of your site,and then you choose what this link is,actually going to,and if you click on this box you'll see,a list of options come available so the,home page pretty self-explanatory goes,to the home,search brings up a search bar so people,can search your store and

WPLMS Mega Menu - Category Sub Category Type (cat - subcat)

hello and welcome to develop a Loomis,tutorials in this tutorial we are going,to learn about mega menu the category,and subcategory type so once you are,logged into your WordPress admin panel,go to the appearance window section and,select the main menu for your site which,is the menu connected to the main menu,location the main menu is visible on,desktop and tablets below the tablet,version it it is not visible so as you,can see I am using the demo three layout,and we already have a mega menu in place,this mega menu is built using the,sidebar and the individual blocks in,this sidebar are basically widgets so,this is a mini widget this is another me,know is it so what I have done is I have,created several small menus and then,embedded the menus using the mini widget,in the sidebar the sidebar,which is used for this mega menu so if,we just look at the settings so here I,have enabled the mega menu so note that,the mega menu option is only available,on the first level of menu items so it,is available here but it is not,available on the third menu item third,level menu item similarly it is not,available on the first level menu items,so now we have added a new feature which,is the category subcategory type mega,menu so it functions almost in the same,manner so what we'll do is we'll add any,page,and we'll make it the first level menu,item so we can see the mega menu,enable/disable switch but the switch,will not function unless we save the,mega menu so now we have saved the menu,and now if we open this and enable it so,now after enabling this you can select,the mega menu type so for this tutorial,we're going to use the category terms,sub category terms type so here you can,select any category term which are,registered on this WordPress site so you,can select any taxonomy here for for,this tutorial we'll select the course,category taxonomy and we'll select the,number of columns so 5 column currently,does not work for this mega when you,type it works for the sidebar but not,for the category terms or the category,posts because we are using the bootstrap,layout for these two mega menu types so,we will select the column says two and,now we'll save the template so once we,have saved the template we simply reload,the page,we are getting the category and the,subcategories so to confirm this will go,to LMS course category section and here,we have the course categories so it is,important to note that the order field,is required for course categories this,is the order with which determines the,appearance of the categories in the so,these are the parent categories and the,sub categories of each of the parent,categories is displayed here so,important point to note is that if the,category term order is not defined then,it is not displayed,you,so after adding small custom.css which,is shared in this article I have been,able to convert this mega menu of,category and subcategory type into this,so I have defined the custom colors for,each of these of menu so important po
