hi thanks for installing absolute,subscriptions if it's your first time,using the app this tutorial is going to,help you get familiar with some of the,things you're able to do with app store,but we're not going to go through every,feature in detail if you have specific,questions about a feature we go over i,encourage you to check out our help,documentation and videos we have on,specific features you can also reach out,to our customer service team which is,available 24 7. we're just going to go,over how to get set up with the app so,we're going to talk about setting up,subscription plans so you can set,frequencies discounts and things like,this that apply to your specific,products and then we're going to talk,about how you can sell those products on,your store,how you can then,use other features in app still to be,able to create a better subscription,experience,and allow customers to manage their,subscription,customize subscription management and,then a few of the other features that,app still has that help you acquire new,subscription customers,so first we're going to look at how you,can set up a subscription plan,you're going to look in the left hand,menu here,find manage plans,and then go to subscription plans,now you won't see this big list of,subscription plans like we have right,now,you'll usually have to create a new,subscription plan,i'm going to show you just what one of,our existing plans looks like on our,demo store here,and then you'll have an idea of how to,set this up for yourself,so first you're going to assign specific,products that are going to follow the,rules of this plan,so we just click select products and,then select the products that we'd like,to include,once we've done that then we can set,frequencies and these frequencies are,going to appear in your product page and,cart page widgets,if those are available,and they're going to,be available to your customers if they,would like to subscribe at the different,frequencies,you can set different discounts for,different frequencies and you can make,several other customizations i'll show,you in this weekly plan what that looks,like,so we can set that this is going to,charge every one week,we can select as as a pay-as-you-go plan,which is typically what you think of a,normal subscription as that it's going,to charge,only for the upcoming order however we,do have other plans which allow you to,charge for multiple,orders at once and i encourage you to,read our documentation on those settings,if that's something you're interested in,we're not going to go,into too much detail in this video on,setting up subscription plans,but you can do things like set a,discount set a free trial set minimum,and maximum number of orders,and you can set your orders to charge on,specific days and times,but,once you've set up all the subscription,plans that you like,you can hit save,and now these are going to apply to your,products and right away especially if,you're using shopify,2.0,online store 2.0 you'

hey guys so using subscriptions in a,business model has really taken off,these days,you see things like netflix or things,like certain subscription boxes all the,time,so i came across this app called seal,subscriptions on the shopify,app store and it's basically to my,knowledge it's the only,completely free with zero percent,transaction fee,uh subscription app on the shopify app,store,and so caught my attention and i've been,checking it out,and using it on my live store for a few,months now,and i just wanted to give my review or,put up my review on youtube,so that um other people can kind of know,what to expect when they download this,app i'm gonna pull up my whiteboard app,and you're going to have to forgive,my drawing or writing skills because,they are not,not the best but um when we think about,subscriptions,right there's two reasons why,subscriptions are great for new,businesses right or any business really,they are going to drive up the lifetime,value of your customers,and they're all also going to give you,better,better expectations as far as,how much money am i going to make this,much uh month uh or quarter or whatever,and when we're talking about,subscription apps right we're really,interested in two things right as,a business owner we're interested in,um how much is this going to cost,and uh what are the features,that it has the features are very,important,specifically because once you pick a,subscription app,on shopify uh it's going to be,difficult and a headache to migrate your,customers over to another one,so you want to make sure that the first,subscription app you pick what uh,you stick with so if we go back to our,options on shopify,there's seal subscriptions and then the,rest,right and if we look at some of these,other ones right like if we look at bold,or,recharge you can see these can get quite,pricey per month this one's 50 bucks a,month,um and it used to be less but it's now,50.,uh this one's 60 bucks a month um they,have free trials but,but uh you know those run out so um,so yeah so they can be quite pricey and,the other thing with these is that,if we look down here there's this 50,bucks a month and then there's also,they're taking uh one percent of orders,containing subscription products,and that's really starts to add up over,time when you consider that that is,in addition to the 2.9,percent plus 30 cents or whatever that,the,uh payment provider like paypal or,shopify payments takes,and so depending on your product if you,have very low,margins this one percent might be uh,untenable for you,so if we go to seal subscriptions we see,that it is,it has a free plan and it's also has a,zero percent transaction fee,now so if we go back to here we've got,this this is covered right like,we've got great great um or low low,pricing right,now we have to look at the features,right so if i take you into the back end,of seal subscriptions so this is on a on,a test store that i have this shop code,101,um you can see the the,features it prov

Hello, today I will show you how to create a simple  subscription rule in the Seal Subscriptions app.,I will set the rule which will allow customers  to start a simple monthly subscription for one  ,of my products. The subscription rule allows you  to configure how and which kind of subscriptions  ,you are prepared to accept in your shop. It's quite  an amazing and powerful tool and feature for your  ,business because you're just going to love the  amount of possibilities you have with setting up  ,subscriptions for your products. You will need at  least one subscription rule in your shop to start  ,accepting subscription orders so let's start by  opening the seal subscriptions app in your Shopify  ,store. So here I am on the Shopify dashboard  and I can see the Seal Subscriptions app here  ,so i'm going to click into it and this will  open the app and now we can see the dashboard  ,up here with all our navigation buttons and  i'm going to click on subscription rules  ,here you will see all the subscription rules you  have configured you can always edit and add new  ,subscription rules here as i've just installed  this app there aren't any subscription rules yet  ,and the widgets in the shop are disabled  ,now let's start configuring our first subscription  rule by clicking on the create rule button,here we have to first choose if we want to create  an auto charging subscription rule or a recurring  ,invoices subscription rule the auto charging  subscription rule will allow you to automatically  ,charge your customers while the recurring invoice  subscription rules will allow you to automatically  ,send your customers an email reminder with  a payment link for each subscription renewal  ,the recurring invoices rule won't automatically  charge your customers and this is a key point  ,and something you should really think about  when you're setting up your subscriptions  ,but in this tutorial we will focus on auto  charging rules so i'm just going to go ahead  ,and select that option now the first thing we  will see here is the rule name this name will  ,be visible to your customers in your shop next to  that add to cart button you can leave it the way  ,it is right now if you're happy with that that's  the default setting or change it to anything else  ,we'll see how this shows up a little later  on when we look at the front end of the shop  ,the second thing that you can deliver is a  deliver every text this text will show up when  ,the customer selects the subscription option in  the widget and will be followed by the delivery  ,options that we will set up in a little while for  example it will show up as delivery every month  ,where the month will actually be a drop down  selector with all the delivery options for example  ,month two months every week etcetera you  will see this a bit later on in the video  ,okay now we're at the important part we have  to select the products that we want to use  ,for our subscriptions widget so we're going to

hi everyone today i will show you how to,configure a product swap which is one of,the most powerful and amazing,functionalities in the seal,subscriptions app the so-called product,swaps allow you to swap one product with,another product in your existing,subscriptions they also allow you to,remove multiple products from,subscriptions and add other products to,the subscriptions,you can even use this functionality to,create a subscription box where your,customers receive a different product,with each subscription renewal,the subscription boxes are something,that is gaining in popularity in,e-commerce and if you don't yet offer,them it might be worth considering them,now let's create one simple product swap,after you open the app head over to the,automations product swaps,to create a new product swap just click,on the create swap button,let's set up a descriptive name which,will help me recognize this product swap,later,so i'm just coming over here to the,product swap name field,and i'm calling my one my first swap,okay so the first thing that we notice,is that we have three available options,which allow us to configure,when we want to apply this product swap,the options that we have are,when subscription gets created or,renewed,this option will apply this swap on each,subscription after it gets created and,after a subsequent order is processed,this means that it will be applied after,the customer is successfully charged,within auto charging subscription,or pays a subscription invoice within,recurring invoices subscription,this option will apply the swap after we,click the save button on existing,subscriptions this is useful if we want,to apply the swap only once for example,if we want to replace a product that is,out of stock with a new product,a thing to note here is that if we later,edit this swap and save it again the,system will apply it again,the system will apply to subscriptions,every time we save it here's the third,option,immediately on existing subscriptions,and when subscription gets created or,renewed,this is a combination of the first two,options it will apply the swap,immediately after we save the swap and,when the subscription gets created or,renewed,the most used option is the first one,and this is also the one we want to have,in this tutorial,now if we turn on the next option called,configure payment condition an,additional option will show up,this option allows us to apply the swap,only after a specific payment but we,don't need this in our tutorial so i,will uncheck this okay so the thing to,know about product swaps is that the,system finds the products in your,subscriptions based on the product,variant ids,but variant ids in shopify can change if,you remove the variant from the shop and,then recreate it,if you tend to do this often then the,next option will help you here,the next option allows you to force the,system to find the products in your,subscriptions by product sku's stock,keeping units this means that even if,you often
