this one's fine this one we need to fix,what's going on everyone welcome to,episode 5 of everyday python projects,and today's project is to build a,currency converter,this converter will return the value of,your domestic currency,into 32 different currency pairs,now i'm gonna be honest that part only,takes like,two minutes so if you're wondering what,the rest of the video is,stay tuned for the first part of this,video we need to import a library called,forex python converter if you don't have,this installed just use pip in your,command line or terminal to install it,like so so you see i already put it in,here but,if i wanted to pip install forex,not python i have it installed already,which is why it says requirement already,satisfied but if you don't it'll be,installed right here,all right now let's import this into our,script,from forex underscore python.converter,import currency,rates we're going to create three,variables,one for our base currency one for the,amount we want to convert,and one for the currency we want to,convert to,let's say base currency is going to be,equal to an,input with the prompt what currency do,you want to,convert and we're going to capitalize,this,next we'll have the amount which will be,a float and another input,how much and finally second currency,as an input okay and what would you,like to convert it to,and this will be capitalized as well,on a side note this won't work if the,currency is an upper case so the upper,method i'm using is crucial for this to,function properly,now we just need to use 4x python to get,the conversion rate,and we could print it out to the console,so let's create a variable called,rate and we'll use currency rates,dot get rate,we'll put in our base currency and our,second currency,and then we'll print out the conversion,rate multiplied by the amount,that we want to convert so let's test,this out with usd,and euro what currency do you want to,convert,usd and how much let's say 1500,okay and what would you like to convert,it to euro,we get 1235,spot 99 euros now we can double check,this,by going to google usd to,euro and i put in 1500,and it comes up with 1236,spot 25. now the reason as to why,there's a difference between,google which is real time and this,library is that these rates are being,pulled from the ecb the ecb stands for,the european central bank,and those rates are recorded once a day,so there might be,some kind of lag between the current,rate and the time at which that rate was,recorded,using this library now that's pretty,neat that we made this so quickly,but let's be frank we could have done,the same thing in google,in like five seconds the real power,behind this tool is how we can apply it,to,larger more broad-based projects the,first thing that came to mind,is how this can be integrated with,e-commerce so,let's say you have a major store on,shopify and it sells products all around,the world,in different currencies unfortunately,your daily invoices,are reported in the foreign c

Currency Conversion In Google Sheets | Google Finance

what's going on guys coming back at you,with another google sheets,video this time it's going to be about,currency,conversions this function is very,helpful when it comes to,making portfolio trackers but you're not,just limited to that,maybe you need to convert currencies for,something else,math or money related doesn't,necessarily have to be in the stock,market,but i think the stock market's the best,case uh use case,scenario especially if you're following,my channel and with the ability to,convert currencies like this,you could then incorporate it into,really cool portfolio trackers like this,one,or this one or even cryptos you can see,right here we got a little euro section,it's converting my dollars,into euros so you create all these cool,trackers here,uh but how do we do it how do we convert,to a different currency is it easy is it,hard it's honestly,one of the easier functions so this,video is not going to be too long thank,god,but you can see what i have set up here,not only a couple of stocks,their current price using good old,google finance,and then their actual conversions into,the euros,and you can see off to the side right,here here's some conversions we got,euro canadian dollar and then the,british pound,and these are all of the actual,conversions using this function i didn't,punch it in manually,and just to make sure that the,conversion's correct let's jump over to,google,and you can see right here one us dollar,to euros it equals,0.82 euros and that's what we have here,0.82,so it looks like the math checks out we,could check the other two but,i know they're right as well uh so how,do we do this,again very easy function i'm going to,open up a new tab,and we're just going to recreate what i,had right there so,i'm just going to copy and paste the top,part at least so we got all of that,we could type in some stocks oh yeah and,before we even do that just so you can,see it is dynamic,let's change microsoft to apple you can,see both of these load,so how we doing this we're going to go,here we'll type in apple,paypal about nvidia,stick with three stocks for now we all,know how to pull price by now so we're,going to do google finance,i'm going to pull that hit enter,select boom there we go we got our,pricing throw in the dollar sign if we,want,now how do we change it over to euro,again,very easy function here's what we're,going to do i'm going to hit equals,google finance again open,quotation we're going to type in,currency,then we're going to do colon type usd,and e u r and look you can already see,up here it's saying all right,you want to change it to 0.82 because 1,usd equals 0.82,euros but that's not what we want we we,want to change,this price so how do we do that well all,we have to do,is then go back to our equation so we,got equals google finance,currency usd eur,multiply that by this cell,hit enter and boom there we go so 126.85,which is the current price of apple as,i'm recording this,is equal to 104 euros let's jump over,here,ju

STOP Using Shopify Currency Converter Apps (Shopify Dropshipping)

hey how's it going everyone my name is,michael and today we're going to talk,about a big problem,using currency converter apps in your,shopify store,and why you might not want to use them,but before that i want to thank everyone,who has subscribed,liked and gave me some type of feedback,we passed over 100 subscribers which is,an amazing start,also if you haven't watched my first or,second video about conversion rate,optimization,on product pages and more then you can,watch them too,i'm sure you can also implement at least,one of the tips that i gave,i also got suggested how-to videos so,i'll get those done too,and i have another video planned about,car and checkout page optimization,and how to reduce abandoned cards and,more i know a lot of people who like to,sell the different countries like the us,canada uk and australia and they simply,just go to the shopify app store and,find a currency converter like this one,you might think it's a good idea because,the app says it'll automatically switch,the currency on the product page,to the customer's local currency but,this isn't a great idea,this isn't a great idea in my opinion,because yes it can switch to the,customer's local currency,but it won't convert on the checkout,page in fact,most currency converters from the,shopify app store won't convert,on the checkout page which is very,important because it's the money page,these apps will just put out a message,saying all orders process,process and usd for example and on the,checkout page,it just shows the default currency which,isn't good,this is why so many people who use,currency converter apps,see low conversion rates many at the,cards below sales,abandoned carts and more these customers,may get confused or,don't trust the store anymore so what's,the best solution for this,well the only way that i know of is,using multi-currency with shopify,payments,within your settings and you'll just,need to add the countries and uh,settings for this so for example i,already have canada uk,so after adding all the countries in you,just need to get the geolocation app,from the shopify app store and you'll,see a currency selector on the footer,or whatever you have it selected to so,let's select it to pounds,and it'll automatically convert the,price and,keep in mind that this is a demo store,so the product page and car page and,check i was not optimized at all,but i'll leave a link on the top of my,video about,product page optimization and i give,eight tips,on about how to increase conversion,rates on a product page,so let's click check out and the price,will automatically stay in,in pounds so the customer will pay in,their local currency,and will have no friction or no problems,now if you don't have access to shopify,payments,then the second best option would be to,delete the currency converter app,and just leave your prices as default so,if you,if you have your default for usd just,just leave it at that here's an example,from a person that helped on their store,i s

Alpha Network Update - How To Transfer & Exchange Your Alpha Coins

hello and welcome to another video with,me christian rauhenbaldt in today's,video i'm going to share a few updates,about alpha network a project that,originally reviewed in may 2021 but,before we get to that as always let's,get the usual disclaimer out of the way,everything i share in this video is my,personal opinion and in no way financial,or professional advice of any kind you,should always do your own research,consult certified professionals draw,your own conclusions and make your own,decisions with that out of the way let's,talk about alpha network for those of,you who haven't heard of the project so,far i recommend that you click on the,card up here and start by watching my,two previous videos about it before,continuing with this video that said,alpha network is among the few projects,that had quite a few red flags during,their initial development but that made,a lot of unexpected progress since then,at least for me the two biggest major,updates that happened around alpha,network are probably the launch of alpha,pay first on the test net and now on the,mainnet that allows users to transfer,alpha coins to other users and as such,already makes it possible for users to,pay for goods and services assuming that,they can find a counterparty that is,accepting alpha coin i've asked users in,our discord community for their alpha,wallet address and we'll use one of,those addresses now to show you how this,works for that i'm going to share my,phone screen with you here and once,we're in the alpha network app we simply,navigate to the wallet section by,pressing the card icon in the bottom,right corner there you might have to,press activate first if you haven't done,so already in the past and then simply,select the transfer tab select the,wallet which you want to send from which,usually should be called anc main wallet,enter the receivement's wallet address,and the amount and finally press the,transfer button to actually send your,alpha coin that's it i know it doesn't,look like much but to some extent this,marks a huge milestone in the project,because as sad it makes it actually,possible to use the alpha coins you,received so far in the app however,there's one very important thing worth,mentioning and that is that so far i,wasn't able to find a blockchain,explorer for alpha coin outside of the,blockchain section within the app and,without that it's hard to confirm that,the transactions performed in the alpha,network app are actually happening on a,blockchain or if they are just using an,old-fashioned database to be clear it's,entirely possible that i simply missed,an announcement that talked about this,further but it's still important because,unless there is a blockchain explorer,and other proof that wallets and,transaction actually exist on the,blockchain i wouldn't even consider,investing any money into the project,which brings me to another important,announcement that alpha network shared,recently and that is that the team is,currently working on th
