hey everybody this is joe palco with 3d,cart chief marketing officer and i would,like to welcome dan rodem today from,advanced shipping manager hey dan,um i've known dan,for a good portion of my life,um we've worked together in the past and,dan's product advanced shipping manager,is a very very cool product so he's,going to give us a demo,today and,you can ask questions through the,questions box throughout the,presentation and if we don't answer them,during the presentation,we will answer them at the end but,we'll take that as it comes and with,that being said here's dan,hey so thanks again uh we're very,excited to be working with the 3d car,uh working on it for a while,and uh we already have a few google,stores using the system very very happy,so,and their corporation corp cooperation,from your side is really uh amazing so,again thank you,um adventure manager so just to give you,everyone just a bit of background in our,company,we've been out there for almost 10 years,uh servicing different e-commerce stores,different platforms,doing custom design and programming,mainly on databases and backends,and about nine years ago we decided to,develop advanced tv manager,based on customers feedback they were,looking for different solutions for,their problems,because up until that point everything,was based on weight only there weren't,any uh complications and then drop,shippers started uh popping up shipping,from different locations different,warehouses suppliers,um and then different charges that the,merchants are getting hit from drop,shippers,and,they can need to be more specific and,more accurate especially now that people,are shopping by shipping,the different engines to really be,accurate,when quoting the shipping rates on the,website in real time,um different challenges whether it's uh,the regular query or the parcels or,freight uh companies that need to be,quoted,um,and basically we're going to cover the,different features that we have today,i would eventually manage a few examples,that we can do,and uh like joe said we'll be happy to,answer any questions you guys have,um so how does the management adventure,manager work there are basically two,control panels one would be in 3d card,store,on the item leveler where,a customer can edit the extra variables,we're adding we're adding different,variables for different features of,course they're all optional nobody needs,to use all of them only the ones that,are really applicable,and,on the advanced commander's side there's,a back end where you can define the,different settings for the system the,different shipping rules then you have,shipping markups if you want,and,basically we can define on the item,level the different settings,on the customer's end when they check,out the,store they will just see the same drop,down with all the available methods and,the rates to the customer everything,will be combined together under just one,uh shipping method name for each of the,rules,dan,is with support yes sir we

Shipping Methods & Rates Tutorial with Advanced Shipping Profiles

hey everybody this is ori from astroweb,and i'm going to introduce you today,to setting up shopify shipping rates how,do you do that what are the main,concepts and a few custom and advanced,things that you can do,all that we're going to talk about today,is default shopify we're not using apps,or things,that enhance the functionality we're,just showing you what is,out of the box okay great so,the first thing you need to do before,you even configure anything is you need,to figure out how you want to charge,shipping,how you want to calculate the shipping,rates so there's three main,possibilities that you can do for your,shipping rates okay number one,is you can set up your shipping carriers,so for example dhl ups fedex etc to,automatically calculate,the rates for you on the fly for every,single cart that wants to check out,based on typically it's based on the,weight okay so once you,go to all of your products you manage,the products,and then you have to specify the weight,for them okay so for example,let's say i have a product right here,when i fill in the product,and if i have a variant or regular,product i will actually fill in the,weight itself,okay so that's the first thing so i have,to if i don't fill it out obviously the,weight the calculations won't be great,and they'll be missing but you have to,fill it out okay so that's the first one,carrier calculated,means every car in real time based on,what's in,inside the shopping cart will be,calculated based on the provider,as long as they're actually in default,shopify you'll be able to get the rates,especially,usps ups etc the second way,is you can define the rates yourself so,you do your business calculations you,contact your own shipping providers and,you figure out if you want to,uh and you figure out how you want to,define the shipping rates and so there's,two,possibilities okay so option two an,option three are,either by the amount that's in the cart,so for example someone has a hundred,us dollars in the shopping cart i wanna,charge five dollar flat rate,okay or above 200 i want it to be free,shipping but below 200 i want it to be,6.95,okay so based on the second option is,based on the total amount that's in the,cart,the third option is very similar it's,also flat rates but it's based on the,total weight that is in the cart so,again you have to define,your product weight and then it'll add,it up and you can say for example,between 0 and 50 pounds,it'll be let's say two dollars between,50 pounds to 100,100 pounds it would be seven dollars and,above that would be free shipping so you,can define,multiple rates and you can also mix and,match you can say i i want carrier,and i want flat rates based on the,weight and i want flat,rates based on the price so you can do a,lot of things you can do mix and match,okay so let's show you a little bit,about how we do that,so i'm going to go to settings and i'm,going to click on shipping and delivery,and right here i have this shipping and,i'm going to actua

Shipping Rules & Settings - Setting up Multiple Origin Zips with Different Couriers

welcome to advance shipping manager,shipping rules and methods tutorial,today we will be going over the steps,required for setting up multiple origins,ifs with different couriers,let's get started by logging into our,advanced shipping manager back-end on,the summary page click download database,in CSV format open the CSV and locate,the column titled origin zip set the,origin zip for each individual item that,is shipping from a different origins,save your CSV upload your CSV to the,event shipping manager back-end on the,summary page now we are going to go over,the second part of setting up multiple,origins ifs the shipping rules and,methods navigate to the shipping rates,page click add new shipping rule give,your shipping rule a descriptive name,this method name will be used for every,drop shipper so keep it simple for this,example we will name it economy shipping,set the origin zip code to your first,drop shippers the zip code our first zip,code is three three zero one zero set,your country and state rules select your,calculation type and your assigned,method for drop shipper a we will be,using USPS priority mail click Save,Settings,we will now repeat these steps for all,the different origin zip codes using the,same method name resulting in three,separate roles with the same name and,different origin zips this will allow,the customer to checkout seamlessly,while event shipping manager calculates,the correct rates and couriers,you are now ready to start shipping from,multiple origins IPPs using different,couriers thanks for watching
