what is up everyone so today we're going,to be talking about facebook lead forms,and let's just go over a couple of,reasons why you'd want to use facebook,lead firms lead forms first,need to learn how to talk to so first of,all facebook lead forms you're gonna get,a lower cost when you use their native,platform to capture leads just because,facebook does like keeping everything,within the facebook system so you can,actually capture extremely cheap leads,when you do it through Facebook and what,I mean is the actual lead form is going,to be on Facebook where they put in,their information,um instead of going to your website and,putting in their information there and,that leads me to my second point of why,lead forms on Facebook are absolutely,awesome is the the less steps the person,has to take,makes it easier for them therefore,you're going to capture more leads so,you only have to click like two buttons,on the lead form to actually have their,information be submitted whereas with,your website they click on you know the,website or they click on the link on the,ad then they go to the website they read,through whatever they put in their,information they submit again it's just,more steps to get the lead if that makes,sense so one you're gonna get lower cost,too it's just going to be easier to get,people's information and I'll show you,also why because sorry I missed some,steps in there too they have to type in,their information on your website you,know their name phone number email,whereas Facebook in puts it into,the form which is really nice so let's,jump on into the ads manager and go over,what to do so you're going to come in to,your ads manager and I come over here to,create this adult an old account so all,this crap just don't look at it you're,going to come to create,and now this is your objective you know,what you trying to do of course we're,trying to get leads so we're gonna click,on lead gen and let's do so I'm going to,go over the whole process of what I do,from,creating the ad how I find the picture,and then I mean it's not going to be a,video I'm going to do a picture but yeah,so let's just do something like,dog,treat dog healthy treats or something,like that and then this is going to be a,you know that doesn't make sense because,it's leads,dog,dog grooming dog home grooming,also leads work really well for local,businesses and so if you are a digital,marketing agency and looking for ways to,really help local businesses they work,great,lead form,and yeah this is all completely made up,I'm not gonna I don't really have a page,for that so we'll just use of course,you'd want to make a page for whatever,you know you're running the ad from and,then let's pretend I'm in let's go,la,los and,how do you spell it,you know I can't spell let's do San,Diego because I can spell that right,here 25 mile 25 mile radius now that's,quite big especially for somewhere like,San Diego you could all honestly,probably like 10 miles and also remember,if you are trying to capture leads,nationwide in all the United States I,would not do this just do United States,and then come down here and do detailed,targeting,where my potential reach right now is 2,million people and then I'd probably add,an interest of like,let's do pet owners,pets or dog I don't know both to figure,something out dogs so they're interested,in dogs so that's gonna narrow us down,to eight hundred and ten thousand people,within this San Diego area now if you,are,looking to do nationwide targeting I'm,going to tell you to do to narrow it,down to probably around below two,million people so just remember that,yeah but when you're doing local you can,maybe you don't even have to do an,interest I'd say because it's going to,be around two million people but because,we are specifically going after dogs,then I'm gonna put in dogs just as the,interest then edit placements with forms,I mean Facebook always optimizes for,what is going to work best for your,company so just remember that,they do want you to make money or their,whole platform would not work and they,would lose money because no one would,use it so they honestly are trying to,help you make money so when I do,placements I usually just do feed but,you know we can leave it in on automatic,because like I said Facebook is going to,most likely,optimize to where you're going to get,the best leads and then daily budget me,doesn't I mean whatever you can spend,terms notic so you Karen lead on your,Facebook page except faced with leads,generous terms ok Brian you this switch,to a different page that allows it let's,just do,I don't know with,okay so that's a client's page ad if,you're wanting to be financially fit go,follow them we'll continue,and then so I always do single image or,video now videos always work best just,if you can make a video,then do it,but if you can't,then I'll show you how to get like some,beautiful pictures so I go,and this is where you can get,copyright free photos and,they are beautiful so like dog sometimes,they don't work the best for ads but,remember Facebook ads you want something,that grabs people at people's attention,so like I'm and I'm running this ad for,San Diego so this picture look it that's,going to capture people's attention,they're gonna you know it it doesn't,look like an ad and it's gonna get,people's attention that's what you want,with Facebook is you want to really make,sure whatever you're posting doesn't,really look like an ad and that it,really captures attention so even like,this I mean all I feel like any pet,photo is going to capture people's,attention especially because,it's just,pets and they're cute cute little pets,so I'm going to download that now it's,downloaded,sometimes I will you know what let's,just do it for the sake of it sometimes,I'll put text into,you know my my picture and Facebook,generally doesn't like this but you can,still do it so,smoke post so I went to this,is free it's awesome you should really,learn how to use canva because you can,make amazing anything from Facebook,posts to YouTube thumbnails anything so,you come here I'm going to click on,whatever Facebook post because that's,about the size we're going to be using,then I'm going to upload the image I,just downloaded I,think I can just drag it in actually,show and finder drag it in and,well there's all my leads from company,I'm working for and boom there we go we,can make this look my stupid face is in,the way,no,boom no,something like that oh look how great,that is and I don't want that text there,and then how do you like,how do I get this away,whatever,then I will get,then I'll come over here to elements let,me drag this over so you can see I'll do,like box,rectangle click it on there and I'll do,you like,I'll add my offer down here or something,like that like that come to text,let's do that,drag that in here and do like,free,you know,or let's do 50 percent off your,first,dog,grooming I don't know if that's like,proper,come like that,and,so you get get the whole point I'm gonna,just use the basic picture but I wanted,to show you honestly everything I use to,make a good ad so something like this I,mean I'd definitely change the font to,something a little bit more beautiful,than that because that just looks trashy,that looks trashy too,and let's just go with that and then we,can do we could change this to a white,background and just so something simple,like that,and then I can screenshot this and you,can download up but sometimes because it,is like a Facebook post the pixels are,going to be smaller it's not going to be,as clear so I,screenshot and say yeah then I have,my newly made ad,and yeah the biggest thing for me is,having a good offer you could do what I,did but put something else in there if,your offers not good it's not gonna work,so just remember that so then I'll,upload my image let's go to desktop what,I just made open,and,what's going on,opened there she is Oh beautiful okay,next so you always want to do a grabber,something that grabs people's attention,so how this is going to work and then,sometimes this happens you'll come up,here your crop image and you'll do,original and apply changes so then it,actually shows the whole picture and,remember this is just a client I'm using,probably should blur that out but,whatever you'd want to have the actual,page you're running the ad for so just,ignore that,and then what you're gonna do is so like,I said you're gonna do something,that's gonna grab people's attention so,how it works is there gonna be scrolling,they're going to see I'm pointing at the,screen like you can see me pointing well,I guess you kind of Canada pointing at,the dog they're gonna see your picture,and they're gonna back they're gonna,stop at the pattern interrupt they're,gonna stop well that's a beautiful dog,first thing they're gonna read is your,your your headlight or not your headline,the first piece the first line in your,ad copy and this is where you want to,its the ad for the ad copy meaning that,it should grab their attention and make,them continue to read so I always do,like something like,the you know does your dog smell like,poop or something that's just you know,funny or just something this is probably,what I wouldn't use but something like,that just to grab people's attention,like what you know and then I'd go,it's more of like the the problem and,then you're gonna provide the solution,and then your offer or you can do what a,lot of people say is hook story offer so,you could do you know a headline or the,first line being something that captures,their attention then a story you know,this many dogs in Sandy San Diego are,out playing there's ticks there's this,and that come to your dog cleaned and,then offer but yeah so you can do either,what I'm doing is just the first line,being the problem solution,which is going to be,sorry just so in common someone favorite,in my comment but yeah so you can do,just hook story offer or solution or,sorry problem solution what your offer,is so does your dog smell like poop,come get a sweet,grooming,dog grooming,50 this is very basic you want to do,honestly longer ad text works quite a,bit more nowadays with,Facebook say depends on the product but,yeah I would do go in more detail well,I'm just doing the very basics of what I,do so you know problem solution offer,like I said 50% off your first grooming,fill out the form below,or whatever you get it and then headline,so what they see you want this to be,your offer so 50% off,your first,grooming and then,sign up or you know get offer,so we have the basics of the ad and then,so when they click on get offer it's,going to take you to the form this is,where you're going to create a new form,okay so now we're actually into the,place where we will create the form yeah,baby,so more volume this is gonna be more,people are going to be filling out your,form it's a quicker form higher intent,is people who you know you're gonna get,more quality over quantity I'll just,leave it at more volume right now so,then what I do is I go to questions the,next thing I do is go to questions,so they're gonna enter their email their,full name always add phone number,because you know nowadays no one freakin,answers their stupid email you can email,them a hundred times and they don't do,it okay so,contact fields phone number and then,another problem with Facebook is the,process is so easy you literally have to,click two buttons to input your,information so I always had to like I,always like to add a yes-or-no question,or,short answer questions so for something,like this I do short answer what kind of,dog do you have,boom,so,now they because these fields I'm,pointing in contact fields user,information they're sorry phone number,full name email these are automatically,put in by Facebook and so just make sure,that,you do yes or no question or a short,answer question or you can go back to,the,beginning of the form and not do you can,do a high intent which will make them,review what they're submitting but I,always like to just do it like this,answer make them answer something and,then you can do a headline so,put in your info below to,get the offer,and then privacy policy so this is on,your website where you have your privacy,policy if you don't know what I mean,let's go to like clickfunnels,and show you what a privacy policy is if,you don't have one you probably should,make one,and come down,I'm sure if you made your website you,know what it is so privacy policy just,goes over what you do with the people's,information that you do get so you will,link your privacy policy,into,this area and,then so once they put in their,information we'll go to the thank you,screen and thank you you're all set and,then you can put like,we,will,reach out to,in the next,one to two days to set up an appointment,for your best friend,and then also at the very end right here,you're going to put your website links,so if they do want to go visit your,website they can go and do that and then,so then you can just review your form,make sure everything's great I should,probably change the headline text as,well,dog,dog grooming,or something like that but yeah review,it then you just go to the Thank You,page you'll come up here you'll press,save and then finish and that will save,it and then once your I guess I can just,do it just to show you press finish,I guess I need to enter all this which,I'm not going to do because I don't have,a privacy policy for this fake dog,account and so you go that then you'll,just click on confirm with your ad and,it will start running so then once you,confirm the ad you will start getting,leads and sometimes it's hard to find,the lead so what you do is you go to,,this is a big piece people miss and then,you're gonna go to the page you're,running the ads for and let's see let's,go to this one because we're really,leads for this one,you're gonna come to the left hand side,or sorry you're gonna go to the top and,do publishing tools,then you will come down to form library,and,then here are all your forms you've made,and then you can actually go and just,click on it and download the the leads,so pretty cool that's how you find your,leads so i hoped i hoped i - Want to start generating leads on Facebook Ads?,Well, stayed tuned, 'cause I'm gonna be showing you,the step-by-step process to creating leads,inside of Facebook without any third-party software needed.,(soft music),Today, I'm gonna be showing you exactly how to use,Facebook's built-in Facebook lead form feature.,I'm gonna be showing you how to run ads,using the lead form feature.,And look, I'll tell you what fam,,if you stick around to the end,,there's gonna be a bonus tip that's gonna be showing you,exactly how to build custom audiences,based on past interactions with your lead forms.,Let's make like a kangaroo and hop on in.,Okay, so the first thing that we need to do,is create the actual lead form itself.,So, let's go into your Facebook page,,want to go ahead and click on more,,and then we're gonna go to publishing tools.,Now that we're in the publishing tools section,of your Facebook page, we wanna go down,,on the left, and click on forms library.,Inside of here, if you wanna create a new form,,in the right-hand corner, click on create.,And we wanna create a new form, click next.,Let's give our form a name, free case study.,So now that we've named our form,,we can choose from two options,,more volume, or higher intent.,With the more volume option, it's really, really great,if you're trying to get as many leads in as possible.,If you try and drive high quality leads,,and eventually, high quality sales,,you would choose the higher intent option.,The option you choose here will affect,your overarching return on ads spent,,and how successful your forms are at generating leads.,Let's just choose more volume,for the purposes of this example.,Gonna go through and click on intro.,As it suggests, you just type in the headline, cool.,You can either upload a custom piece,of image creative up here,,which would be a static piece of creative,which will follow your ad around for the rest of eternity,,or you can use dynamic creative,,variable to the ad in which you're running,at the ad level, inside of Facebook Ads.,I'd recommend using dynamic image so that you can split test,and switch out ad creative,,without having to create new forms in the future.,So now you're at the layout area,,paragraph or bullets are your option.,It's totally up to you, in terms the aesthetics,of how you want your form to look.,Here, you wanna provide some kind of call to action,,or some kind of description as to the form,in which they're filling in.,So what you wanna do is ask yourself,,why would someone want to provide me with,their email address, their phone number,,their contact information?,In this case, it's gonna be because it's a free case study.,So this is an example of the lead magnet,,I'm using this lead magnet to basically,give people access to my case study,,so I can capture their email address,and add them onto my email list.,You can do lots of really cool things,with your Facebook lead ads.,Let's say you wanna do a survey,,or you wanted to ask them more information,,you can go through and get their email address,,you can get their full name,,you can go through and add a new question,,like contact fields, user information,,demographic questions, work information, national ID number.,You can also create custom questions,with multiple choice and conditional logic,,or you can do an appointment scheduling,and qualifying questions.,There's so much stuff that you can,now do inside of Facebook lead formats.,Now I know what you're thinking.,Oh, I've got all these options and fields,that I can choose from, I'm gonna try and get,as much information from my audience as possible.,No, none of that!,As you ask more questions, and your audience has provided,more information to you, the likelihood of you converting,these leads is gonna get a lot lower.,I'd recommend starting really, really small,,get as minimal amount of information as possible,,to achieve the goal in which you've strived to set out for,,with your Facebook lead ad generation.,The idea here is you wanna minimize,the friction points with generating those leads,from your audience as much as possible.,Speaking of friction, one of the other great things,about Facebook lead ads, it minimizes the amount,of friction with your audience, because when you typically,send people offsite, off of Facebook, to say,,a third party landing page software, you've got,,sometimes, between three and 10 seconds for that to load.,When you do it on Facebook, (fingers snapping),it's an instant experience,,and it also pre-populates the form,with the information from that user's Facebook profile.,You can capture a lead within five to 10 seconds.,You're basically almost done, how easy is this?,So in order for you to run a Facebook compliant lead ad,,you need to make sure that you're linking off,to a privacy policy.,Easiest way to do that is to have,a privacy policy created in your website,,paste in the link to your privacy policy,,and make the link text privacy policy.,And depending on where you are in the world,,and where you're generating leads from,,you may need to add in an additional disclaimer,,for example, a GDPR disclaimer,,if it's not included in your terms of service,or in your website's privacy policy,,and you can do that by clicking here.,For the purpose of this example,,we're just not gonna worry about it.,So we're almost done, so quick, so fast, so painless.,All we need to do now is complete your thank you screen.,So for ours, we've got thanks, you're all set,,Thanks so much for filling in your contact information.,Please click the link below,for instant access to the case study,,and obviously that's relevant,to what we've been offering in the form.,Now with that in mind, all you need to do,is customize the button,,you can customize in three different ways,,view website, download, or call business.,Button text you can customize,,which you couldn't do back in the day,,but you can now, thank you, Facebook.,Put in the URL in which they can download,that lead magnet from,,and then it's as simple as going save.,And the next step, and this is a really important part,,exit out before you click finish.,It's gonna ask you if you wanna close lead form,,your draft will appear in your list of forms,,you're gonna hit OK, gonna refresh.,So now, you're gonna navigate over to draft forms library,,and you'll see the form that we just created,,gonna click edit, double check that everything's working,,interestingly enough, the emojis that I included,before aren't working,,so I'm really glad that I closed this down,and went back in and double checked before you publish,,because once you publish, you can't make changes again.,I'm gonna go into the intro section,and just delete these emojis from here,,so now it's all correct,,go through and double check the questions,,double check the privacy policy, double check your links,,double check that everything's all good.,Once you click finish,,you can now go into your forms library.,So now you'll see the completed Facebook lead form.,You can go and preview it,to see what the experience is like.,You see that it's pre-populated,with the placeholder information.,Go and click next and then submit.,This is just showing you exactly,what the experience will be like for your audience,,and then you can go and click download case study,,and it's gonna take you through,to where you can download and view the case study.,And it's as simple as that.,So we've created this awesome lead form,,but now we need people to see it.,So we have to hop into ads manager,and create a quick little test campaign,to see how people in our audience react to this lead form.,Click on create.,I'm gonna call it Facebook lead form test,,and we're gonna name our ad set Facebook page likes.,I always like naming my ad sets reflective,of the audiences in which I'm targeting,,and we're gonna name our ad free case study,,which is reflective of of the lead form,that we're building this ad for.,We're gonna click save to draft.,And then I'm just gonna go through,and click filter by selections,,so that I don't have to see any other ads in my accounts.,We click on the ad set tab, gonna click edit.,So now that we're inside the ad set,,what we want to do is set your budget,,you wanna define your audience,that's most likely to respond positively,,and then, this is a little bonus tip, fam,,we wanna exclude people who have opened up,our lead form in the past 90 days,and people who've actually downloaded our lead magnet,,or submitted the form,,because we don't wanna be targeting people,that've already converted, or opened the lead form,,but haven't chosen to download it.,To do that, we wanna go in the ad set level,and click exclude, go create new custom audience,,use Facebook sources, we're gonna click on lead form,,so you wanna go ad click on this dropdown,,click people who have opened and submitted form,,in the last 90 days,,then we wanna select the specific form that we just created,,name our audience, create audience, click done.,You'll see that this is automatically added,this audience to targeting, you don't wanna target it,,we wanna exclude it, so go ahead,and click exclude this audience.,So the next audience that we need to exclude,are people who have actually just opened the form,,but didn't submit.,So to do that, we follow the same process, create new,,custom audience, lead form,,we select anyone who has opened this form,,in the last 90 days, for our Facebook page,,for the free case study, named it free case study,,opens last 90 days, click create audience, click done,,make sure that we're excluding that audience.,So by creating these exclusion audiences,,it means that our ads are only gonna be shown,to people who have never interacted,with our lead form before.,Okay, so now that our ad set is completed,,we need to go and build our ad.,Click on the ads tab, click edit on the top ad,,we're going to scroll down and select our Instagram page,,and we're gonna scroll down and select our form.,Now you wanna go through and build out your ad.,So let's go and change our creative.,Here's something I prepared earlier.,Now what there, you'll be prompted to search for your CRM,,you can then connect it and then manage your leads.,In the event that your email marketing platform or your CRM,is not listened inside of
